Hotel well situated for walking distance to museums, art galleries and local bus service to travel to Bondi beach to start the coastal walk to Coogee- an absolute must as the paved walk way winds along stunning secrecy . You can catch a local bus from Coogee back to CBD. One can walk to the Domain and then downhill to Sydney harbour/ opera house/ferries to Manly. Hotel in a quiet area for sleep! I will be using it again.

The hotel is extremely outdated. The gym is falling apart, the laundry room has broken machines, the place is overpriced for what it is. The only thing that this place has going for it is a decent location.

The staff was accommodating, we had asked a couple days before for an early check-in. When we arrived we could have checked in with a $50.00 fee which we declined. The buffet breakfast was very good, hotel was quiet. Our restaurant on was quite spacious with a great view of the harbour. The room was clean, an eventual paint job would be in order.

Hotel didn’t know we wanted a rollaway bed despite us stating we had a 9yo child. They managed to find one but wanted to charge for it, which we refused.
The hotel is tired and run down. The room was not cleaned very well and was dusty and the surfaces were never wiped. All in all very disappointing and not what we’d expect from an Accor hotel.

Staff were not professional at all, internet did not work and was slow, complained several times nothing changed, complained at checkout they offered nothing. The chair in the room was filthy and broken had to request to change it as I had to work during my stay. They do not clean rooms daily and even if you leave the sign they would do it very late so if you come back at 2 pm it wont be done.

I want to be clear. The staff were excellent, the place was clean. This is not a review that can be ‘blamed’ on the staff.

This is a review about the state of this hotel. It is the most beat up, run down and outdated place I’ve stayed at. Which is fine if you weren’t paying $450 a night.

Everything is barely working (TV, aircon, gym equipment), it looks like a hotel that hasn’t been update for decades.

Total greed by management / owners squeezing out as much profit, with as little investment possible.

This would barely make a 3 start hotel.
Fine if we were paying $200 or less perhaps, but to charge $450 for this place is astounding.

Absolute greed. We’ll never stay here again- you’d be better off finding a boutique hotel in Surry Hills than this place.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The bed was very hard. The bathtub was very old and its painting was coming off. The walls were thin, so we heard the neighbours going to the toilet, having a shower and when they were giggling. The steam room and the sauna didn’t work properly. Their sundeck did not have beds to lay on. Its location was convenient with walking distances to train stations, shopping centres and Darling Harbour.

Great location for your Sydney trip

We chose this hotel for its location and it was a comfortable stay. The location is close to public transport, shopping centres and main tourist sites. The staff were professional and polite and the room was spacious and comfortable. My only downside was that the wifi stopped working towards the end of our stay but overall I would recommend this hotel.

We had a really good stay. Our room was on the 20th floor with harbour views. Some of the furniture is a bit tired but the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very expensive ,not included in our rate) so we didn’t eat at the hotel but there are lots of options just outside.

The hotel is unassuming but the people and the service inside are worth the stay. Some of the hotel could use some sprucing up-laundry room, corridors-painting, elevators are a bit whacky. But when I got to my room it was lovely, clean, comfortable and the view was better than the one I had at the Four Seasons downtown. A nice grocery nearby as is great public transport. The staff runs the hotel very quietly but efficiently. It has the feel of a much smaller hotel. I would definitely stay there again!

A very clean and comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having a laundry on site and a supermarket and coffee shop next door were +++.
Only negative would be having to climb in and out of bath to have a shower. Any water on the floor made it a bigger hazard to climb out. Sliding glass shower screens would help stop water going on floor but next time I would ask for a walk-in shower if they were available.
But other than that, it was a great stay and would definitely recommend it. A+

Despite the hotel being a little older, the location, staff and convenience were all first rate. We had a quick 3 night getaway and walked everywhere quite quickly and easily. Amazing harbour and city views from our room. We will be back on our next Sydney visit.
