The location was very convenient but the hotel didn’t really have a lot of amenities. The bathroom shower was small and no vanity space to use. The daily service on our room was great. My only complaint was the room stayed humid due to the hallways not being air conditioned. Overall nice hotel and great location

If you like Oak Bluffs the location is great. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms are very tiny, and parking is expensive. I wish they’d oil the squeaky doors.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at SummerCamp Hotel in Martha's Vineyard! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with recommendations and anything we needed. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained.
The location couldn't be better. It's within easy walking distance of everything in Oak Bluffs, including restaurants, shops, the harbor, and the beach. The nearby bus stop made it incredibly convenient to explore Edgartown and other parts of the island without needing a car.
If you're looking for a clean, charming hotel with exceptional service and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend SummerCamp Hotel. It made our stay Martha's Vineyard experience even more memorable, and I would definitely stay here again!

The property was nice and staff were helpful. However strong winds in late June caused the ferries to be canceled, forcing us to leave the island early with no alternative. While other hotels on the island refunded guests who had to depart early due to the ferry cancellations, Summer Camp did not offer any refund or other accommodation for the lost nights. Seems like an unusual circumstance, but it was frustrating that there was no consideration for our predicament.

Location was perfect in Oak Bluffs close to the ferry terminal and nearby attractions. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the little things at the hotel helped to make the stay enjoyable like the popcorn, coffee/tea, outdoor seating and common areas. Really enjoyed our stay with the family at Summercamp and would highly recommend. The only thing I wish was different was that the recreation room was utilized for 2 out of the 3 days we were there. If we were told that upon check-in it would have helped set the expectation with our kids, as opposed to the kids seeing what was available in the rec room on day 1 and then constantly asking if they could go only to find out that it was closed to a private event.

We were pleased on arrival and felt very welcomed. The staff provided so much detail and local maps, bus schedules and helped us understand the local area. The room was exceptional and very clean. We did need to walk up 5 sets of stairs, which we were capable to do. The AC was working fine. There were beverages, coffee, tea, water, cocoa at the 4th floor which was very convenient for us. We recommend the hotel without reservation.

We only stayed one night at Summercamp on Martha’s Vineyard and really enjoyed our stay. The location is fantastic—right across from the water and within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and local points of interest.
Our room was on the smaller side, but I assume that’s fairly typical for hotels in this area. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel itself has a relaxed coastal vibe. One of our favorite features was the porch, which was a wonderful place to sit, relax, and enjoy the island atmosphere.
Overall, Summercamp is a great choice if you’re looking for a convenient location and a charming place to stay while exploring Martha’s Vineyard.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The young lady who checked me in also helped me get my luggage to the 4th floor. The room is kind of small but I think about average for the area. A word of caution if you have mobility issues check ahead of time of where your room is located. There is not an elevator in the main building so getting up the stairs is a bit of a challenge if you have knee issues like I do. I would definitely stay again, this was my second stay, but would be more mindful of my room location. The location is excellent and in walking distance to shops and restaurants

We just returned from our visit there. We were very pleased with the whole experience and quality of the camp.

Upon arrival we were able to check in very early, effortless check in. The staff was very helpful with information about the area, recommendations for restaurants, highlights of the island, vehicle rentals and tour services.

The room was excellent, harbor view, nice size, big bathroom with great shower.

We loved the front porch, sitting in the rockers enjoying the harbor views. Wonderful stay we will be back there!

This is such a thoughtful hotel, from the time you set foot into the beautifully curated lobby and greeted by friendly and helpful staff to the clean rooms and the location of the place is walkable to so many great restaurants and you can’t bear the view. All in all great stay. Location is fabulous over looking the Harbor. We got a 4th floor room(we knew they had no elevator) but that’s kinda tough.
Only thing that bothered me was they charged $5 for a tiny beach chair.( at the prices they charge it should be completely) I mean is really a review stream.

Only window unit A/C that barely cooled. Our room was on the fifth floor, and there was no elevator. This was not mentioned when booking the room and was quite a challenge, hauling all of the luggage up the narrow stairwells.

I love the fact that this is a Christian founded campground where the hotel does not promote drinking alcoholic beverages. The hotel rooms are very small but comfortable for one person. The shower is about 3 ft by 3 ft. Not recommend for a large person.
If you arrive early, don't worry, there are courtesy lockers to store your luggage while you explore the island.
The front porches are very inviting and perfect for reading a book. The hotel does not offer complimentary snacks. However, there are many places to eat within walking distance, and the food is good everywhere. There are plenty of shops and a local post office if needed.
I highly recommend this hotel if you're not on a budget.

Great location, very nice staff. Elevators in both buildings. Coming the first week of June, we had no issues parking in the free public spots across the street along the water, but I imagine during the summer rush you need to purchase the hotel's limited parking. The only issues we had were no microwave in the room, and insufficient counter space in the bathroom (an increasingly common issue across properties, as ownership/management opt for cheaper/smaller ledge-less sinks, marketing them as chic). But those were relatively minor inconveniences, definitely outweighed by the aforementioned pros.

It is a neat property with a great location right on tje harbor, and in walking distance to many of the restaurants and coffee/ice cream shops, which are very close to the property. It was fun walking around and going to see the gingerbread cottages nearby as well. It was just me staying there, [on a business trip ], so the room was fine for me, but it’s very small overall. The bed was very comfortable. since I called an advance, they let me reserve a parking spot which was basically right across from the property and that was of no charge. If you want to park in back of the property, it’s $50 per night, but I didn’t find that necessary as the area seemed very safe. Cool property, definitely would come back.

Summercamp is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Oak Bluffs. It has a large front porch with oversized modern rocking chairs and a view of the lake. It is also a short walk to the ferry and the bus stop that takes you to Edgartown and Vineyard Haven. It was so easy to get around.

The Property Manager, Kate and her entire crew had the best hospitality that we have had at any hotel. Everyone was so professional, pleasant and accommodating.

It is not how something goes wrong but how the staff manages it:
When we arrived, there was unexpected groundwork being done. When we returned from a walk, there was a front loader and a sewer truck working right outside our bedroom window. We asked to be moved to another room. The Manager, Kate, personally came to speak to us and explained how it was historical septic that had caused a sinkhole and it was all being removed but wouldn't impact our plumbing. However, she offered to move us to another room and credited us the difference. She also had champagne and treats waiting for us in the new room. (It was my sister's 60th birthday.) The work was completed the day we left. It was not something the staff could predict or prevent. However, the Manager, Kate took the time with us to ensure that we had a nice experience for our first time at Summercamp.

We will be repeat guests! Thank you to Kate and her crew!

We had a very enjoyable three night stay at Summercamp in late May. Very clean and attractively decorated and maintained. The only down-side was the size of the room. The room was small, and the bathroom had a shallow sink with nowhere to put your make-up or toiletries. Very relaxing stay, nevertheless less. Great location in a very cute town.

This is a really cute hotel situated in the most convenient area close to restaurants, shopping and tour starting points. We rented a car, and had my husband not had limited mobility from a foot injury, it would not have been needed. There’s a long porch with rockers that face the water view, which was a lovely space to sit and relax with a drink. The rooms are small, but so clean and nicely decorated. The staff was so helpful and friendly from check-in (accommodating us for a lower floor since there were no elevators in our building) to arranging a cab for an early morning 5am check out. And special shout out to Scott for hunting down and finding a brand new foot throw that we purchased for our bed at home. Free parking was a breeze as there was always space in front of the hotel, but don’t count on this if you come during the busy season, I believe the hotel charges $35-$40 a day. The only downside is the lack of elevators, and there are lots of stairs getting into the building and lots to get to your room. So pulling luggage up the stairs can be difficult, but staff is happy to assist. Would definitely visit again.

Great front desk and cleaning staff. Centrally located and you can walk everywhere in Oak Bluffs. Small showers and bathrooms, but not a deal breaker cause don’t plan to spend a lot of time there. I’d like to see another hanging basket for toiletries in bathroom, add Apple TV and HBO Max to television as options. Let people know there’s no elevator so that we are prepared to carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs, I got help from front desk but not fair for them to carry guests luggage. I’d definitely stay here again in spite of some criticism.

Hotel was clean and staff pleasant, but when they send you a text asking you contact them that way if there are any issues, so you do, and it takes them over 12 hours to respond, you do t wait that long and tell the front desk the same thing, THERE IS NO HOT WATER IN YOUR SHOWER. and their response is are you sure? After you ran the water for an HOUR trying to get it warm… their excuse was “we just opened that wing” of the hotel.

Sadly we will NOT be staying here ever again. Cold showers are not my idea of fun. Too bad the staff didn’t care.

Right out front which was great and the rides are free. Hotel provided free coffee, tea, and water. No elevator so prepare to get your exercise. Lovely porch with lots of seats to sit on and read.

There is a unique charm to the building, inside and out. The Living Room instead of a Lobby, the dining area with coffee set up- a place to enjoy a coffee or take out meal with a beautiful ocean view. Our room was charming and clean. The office staff was helpful with directions, bus schedules, suggesting restaurants, offering to help us w/ luggage up and down stairs, setting up taxis for us and more. We loved our stay.
