This was our best accommodation of the summer! Our cottage was absolutely adorable, with a tiny kitchenette and a porch out front. It was an easy walk to the beach and to restaurants. It was quiet, with lots of mature trees and picnic tables in a park-like setting.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff was friendly and efficient. The housekeeper was wonderful. The room was conscientiously cleaned and made up the same way every day. The grounds were beautiful with a gate to access the short walk to the beach. It was also a short walk to The Black Dog for breakfast or lunch. We were in a king room on the second floor of Grand House. The room was ample and comfortable for 2 people. Only complaint was that the new pillows were very high and that the new bed was also high for a 5 ft grandma.

Very much enjoyed my stay here, first time visiting cape cod and this was the perfect place to stay. The staff were very friendly and informative. I had came late to check in for my flight had delayed, they were very on top of it to ensure I had a smooth check in when I arrived close to 1 am lol. Highly recommend if you like to have a warm welcoming for your first trip to cape cod :) also love the building it was so beautiful!

When I asked the desk clerk, \"which way to the beach\" she breezily pointed south and said, \"That way.\" We then walked 15 minutes (the website says \"3 minute walk to beach\") to find only a private beach. She might have had the courtesy to say, \"Take a left on Grand Avenue\" which was not an obvious choice but would have led us to the public beach ( a six mintue walk, after all!). Other than that, it was a nice motel.

I booked this place last minute for a couple of nights for a midweek getaway. It was super for a motel and reasonable cost. I got the smallest room which was fine for one person. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a newer sink and good hot water, there was a mini fridge and microwave. I liked that I could park right outside the room. The pool was great and I ate my takeout lunch on the chairs in the yard. It was walkable to the beach, bikeable to the bike trail, and a short drive to all the other things I wanted to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful with information.

The condition of the property is really nice, but the comfort is a little low. There’s no headboard on the bed. There was a chair and a stool not very comfortable to relax in the room forced to kind of sit on the bed. There’s no coffee maker the TV is somewhat, very small for the room

Great Old School Motel

We enjoyed our stay at the Falmouth Motor Lodge. The motel was selected for it's closeness to the Island Queen Dock for the boat to Martha's Vineyard. The beach was also in walking distance. The propoerty is many acres and it beautiful! Debbie in the office was very helpful with restaurant locations (many could be walked to ) and other suggestions. She was a delight!

Very tiny room but good location!

Our room was extremely small…definitely not the room in the picture that we thought we were booking. The front desk called us 2 or 3 times before our arrival to ask us if we would like an upgrade to a bigger room for $30 per night. We declined as we thought the room pictured was acceptable. It was quite claustrophobic. On a positive note…. The motor lodge is in a very good location. You can walk to the Island Queen ferry, Falmouth harbor and several restaurants. Also, The room was very clean.

It was extremely clean and so accessible to the beach/restaurants. It was quiet and the staff were very nice/helpful.

The only thing that I didn't like was how incredibly moist (awful word, I know) the room was the entire time. I was not aware we could ask for a dehumidifier until we checked out and I asked the staff. I know it's the Cape, and it comes with the territory, but our towels/bathingsuits couldn't dry... the floor in the bathroom was never dry... after showering it just stayed wet/moist in there the entire time... everything just had a layer of moisture on it. Also, there are NO towels in the room at all, not even bath towels, you have to ask for them. Other then this, I was VERY impressed with the cleanliness, safety, and friendliness here at this motel.

This was our first stay at this property and so glad we tried it out. The room we had was very clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming from check in to check out, and the location is easy walking distance to plenty of food and recreation options (as well as the ferry to Oak Bluffs). Would definitely recommend.

This is a vintage family run Motor Lodge. I did not use the word old because that word brings up bad connotations of a run down motel. This is anything but rundown. It is a very modern and comfortable place. I highly recommend it. It deserves a 5 star. Ask for the new king room in the back!!

Loved the property, location, staff, SO SO CLEAN! It's a little outdated not modern, and we loved that. Lady that worked night was so awesome and informative!! Perfectly placed near everything! Beach was close by, restaurants, shopping, and best of all down road from ferry! Only not so great was bed, very hard and maybe outdated, I was hoping for the room to look like pictures but ours did not, but we had a great vacation!

The Motor Lodge is made up of a \"Motel\" building and then several houses on the grounds that were obviously converted into additional rooms. We were in one of the houses in the back, and it was perfect. We had our own private covered patio which was nice for the one rainy day we had on our trip. Kim was our very friendly housekeeper, who offered great suggestions for places to see and dine. The location is about a 10 minute walk to the Queen Island Ferry to Martha's Vineyard, no need to drive. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, but it's only a short drive to the center of town where you'll find an abundance of restaurants and great shopping. Only suggestion I'd offer is to have coffee makers in the rooms. Coffee was available in the office, but it didn't open until 8:00 am. Luckily one of the couples we were with brought their own Keurig, so that helped. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay. Very cute rooms. We had a nice outdoor space to have breakfast outside and loved how close to the beach we were. The staff was so pleasant and accommodating. We also went to Martha's Vineyard one day on the ferry so enjoyed being able to walk there. Absolutely perfect location for a great vacation and close to downtown, as well. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet and peaceful rest in Falmouth

Due to a slow weekend, we were upgraded to a King size bed room. The high ceilings and big windows make the room feel so much bigger than it is. Love the huge windows that allow so much light in. Super clean. Close to the beach (3 blocks away). Close to two places to eat. One chill. One fancy.

Got lucky last minute

We left for our cape cod trip a day early. So we booked this while we ate lunch in sandwich. Very clean. Bed was very comfortable. The yard was set up very nice with chairs and swings to relax. Just a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach. And a short walk to the black dog for breakfast. We really enjoyed it

I loved how clean the room was. It was perfect for one person and it's cute. The only drawback was the floor mat for when you get out of the shower was dirty and the hot water was not hot, just one notch above warm. Both situations I did mention to the night time front desk person. Otherwise it my stay was great! Morning Staff were very helpful with my questions on how to get around the area. Since I arrived late on a Friday, the nigh time staff contacted me to let me know they will leave the keys for me in the room and told me where my room is. Very kind and helpful staff all around...

Ideal location for access to the Island Queen ferry to Martha’s Vineyard (5 min walk). Also very close to Falmouth Heights beach (5-10 min walk). Multiple good food and coffee options within walking distance and a short drive to Main Street in Falmouth, which has many great restaurants (Estia greek food being our favorite) and shops.

The room was basic but has everything we needed and the mini fridge was a very good size.

Also highly recommend a trip to John’s Liquor Store which is close to the hotel for any craft beer fans. They had a great selection of local and unique craft beers. Ask for Mark!

Check in was easy and very accommodating. Very clean updated room. Grounds were very well kept. Only complaint was the motel was pretty empty due to it being off season and they put us in room 16 right next to the office. Whenever anyone went in or out the side office door it slammed and woke us up. Great location, walking distance to island ferry, bars and restaurants.
