Our original room had issues with the heating and we were offered a larger and a smaller room where the heating was working. We chose the smaller room as it was newer and provided a more comfortable space. The room was lacking in many areas including comfort of the bed, appropriate toilet roll holder instead of using the sink. The maid service was limited. We expected that they would clean the floors, but that was not done. Overall I would never return.

This hotel charges the same as, or more than, a 3-star hotel but feels more like a hostel. The room and toilet were extremely small, made worse by a sloping ceiling. Soundproofing was awful—I could hear every step in the corridors and upstairs, with guests coming in at 1 a.m. and leaving at 6 a.m. as if they were inside the room. The property looks nothing like the photos. Not recommended for light sleepers.

Room was dirty with debris of biscuit which wasn't from us. It was as though it wasn't cleaned after the previous guest. Even when we requested for the room to be serviced on one of the days we were out, we came back to just the bin liner changed while everything else remained the same. The fire alarm kept going off at intervals without any cause to the point of going off at 3am in the morning disturbing everyone's sleep aftet a stressful day..

The staff was amazing! Having to change where you stay in the middle of a trip is extremely stressful. The staff went above and beyond to make the change as smooth as possible.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable. I felt like I was at home.

From the moment I arrived, the location of the property felt unsafe and unwelcoming. The first room I was assigned had a strong foul odor, and I had to be moved to another room. Unfortunately, the second room was also disappointing as it was very small, noisy, and the walls were paper thin, making it impossible to get proper rest.

The breakfast offered was not as advertised and was unhealthy. While Mohammad from the staff was polite and helpful, Rodney was unprofessional and rude when I asked for assistance. Overall, my experience at this property was extremely unsatisfactory and not reflective of what was promised.

Given the poor conditions and lack of comfort during my stay, I am requesting a refund of at least 50% of the amount I paid. I genuinely regret not choosing a proper hotel for this trip. DO NOT STAY A THIS PLACE!

Good Budget Stay

The apart hotel is a budget friendly no frills hotel. Checking in was made online and checkout was all done electronically. Breakfast area was clean, basic but had a reasonable selection of continental breakfast items. The studio room we had was a modern comfortable with a kitchenette and toilet/shower room. Other features include a hair dryer, iron, ironing board and a fan.
Sadly what let our stay down was that there was no air conditioning and the room was extremely hot. Even opening the window and putting the fan on didn’t make any difference. The fan was very noisy so couldn’t use it overnight to keep cool.

We were in a new section. There was lots of issues. The fire alarm went off at 3:10am. There was no one on site to help. Tried calling the phone number which went to answer phone. No fire information in rooms. I ended up calling 911. Next morning the issue was brushed off and they were trying to blame others rather than taking ownership of the issues. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The room needed minor maintenance but was usable. The staff was responsive to concerns about the room. The finishes are not high quality but the room was clean and functional. The street the hotel is located on is fine and seems to be mostly residential. The nearby area with shops and restaurants was littered and dirty. It was close to bus stops and walking distance to East Croydon station which is convenient. The breakfast was pastries, toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit. The laundry facilities were inconvenient to use. The room did not have a toaster, just a hob, microwave and mini fridge. There was an oven and toasters in the breakfast room but that was not always available. Choose the full apartment if you want to cook.

My husband and I stayed here back in Aug 24 and it was a nice experience. So we returned again. They are building up so expect construction noise but other than that the stay is very quiet. I’d recommend this for affordable travel. Sits in a quiet Croydon community within walking distance to local convenience stores restaurants etc.

None of the advertised photos accurately represented the building or the accommodations.

The bed was hard, the mattress pad was unsatisfactory, and the pillows provided little comfort. The mattress stained and in poor condition.

The sound from the gym equipment was noisy, and the room was cluttered with laundry bags.

The 3rd floor room did not match the photos advertised. It was the smallest room in the building, with a kitchenette. The layout was not private at all, with three rooms located just outside my door, made it impossible to avoid overhearing conversations.

Nights were particularly disruptive,
There was constant slamming of doors and heavy footsteps on the stairs added to the noise.

Construction activities started early in the morning right outside the window. The sound of machinery, an electrical saw plus equipment being dragged, was unbearable.

Additionally, there was a persistent smell of weed throughout the building and an addict shouting from the top of her lungs directly in the area.

This was closed off and under construction for another building,leaving a total of three parking spaces at front of the property. The room was also very noisy every time someone opened and closed doors elswhere.

Very clean in both the general building and the apartment. Bathroom was also really clean. The space is clearly looked after very well.
However, my flat was very noisy: the fridge would sometimes make a loud buzz for 30-60 minutes, and every single step taken by the guest in the apartment above me was UNBELIEVABLY loud. It felt like I was trying to sleep inside a drum.
Will not risk staying here again, which is a shame, because everything else about this aparthotel was quite nice

The hosts overall were good. The property although updated was very dirty. We had to wear our shoes in our room because of the amount of dust and dirt and other things on the floor. The bed was clean, but the chair in the room looked like it had blood or boogers, something on it. No air conditioning and you couldn’t keep the windows open because they allow people to smoke in front of the building and all the smoke came up into the windows into our room. There were guests talking outside until 11 12 o’clock at night so quiet times were not observed entirely. This would be a very, very nice hotel if the rules were followed, and they would clean the rooms properly.

Mountain out of a mole hill

My partner and I had a great time add this location nothing was too much trouble for the staff in order to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Reading the previous reviews to ourselves it seems that people were making a mountain out of a mole

At least an eye unit things like the shower was a little smaller than would have been preferred but I'm a big guy and didn't find it that hard to navigate, the apartment could have smelt fresher but didn't smell of mould just needed more airing out a little difficult to do considering how cold the apartment was, we arrived late at night but in the morning at breakfast Tev immediately came round and got the heating and hot water working beautifully .
Free parking was definitely a bonus the entrance to the car park was a little narrow but after my second night of a four-night stay it was no problem to navigate through just required that I paid attention a little bit more.

Breakfast was a continental breakfast meaning that nothing was cooked apart from toast but a good choice of serial and bread but to counter and step they had a tuck shop within the property which easily allows you to upgrade your breakfast and cook something a little more to your liking as the apartment was fully cut it out kitchen wise

Westciti Caroco Aparthotel was a quick Uber from east Croydon station to take a train to Gatwick (15mins).
The Aparthotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, helping me with my luggage and making sure I had all I needed. The rooms were very clean and modern and included all the amenities mentioned. Loved the breakfast rooms and used both the laundry facilities and gym.

Property was clean. Toilet bowl cover was not working properly. It was coming off the hinges.
Apartment was hot at times even with the window open. The fan in the room did not make much difference to the temperature.
The range and refrigerator were working well. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with cereals, milk, sugar and tea.

We couldn’t believe our luck when we arrived. The staff were so helpful. Our luggage was taken to our twin room (No3) that had everything you could possibly want. They provide continental breakfast 7:30am until 9pm and there’s 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers for you to use if needed We would definitely recommend this 5* accommodation

I stayed for 2 days in one of their studios. I have to say, while it was clean, the room reminded me of a school dormitory. It seems as though the studios are one step above a hostel type environment with the exception that every room has their own bathroom. Unfortunately, the room was very warm for myself and for my friend's room as well. They do supply fans, so you will need to close the window and leave your door open for some time with the fan running to circulate cold air from the air conditioning unit in the hallway. There are no elevators, so be aware if you have heavy luggage that you will need to take it up staircases.

The property manager was very helpful, detail oriented, and extremely friendly. He helped my friend and I with a checking process with pure ease. The lounge is available to use until 9:00 p.m. at night. There is a laundry room and a gym downstairs. And a property manager is on site until night time usually.

If I return to Croydon, I'll more than likely will stay in the Westciti apartment as I was there originally for 12 days prior to leaving England and returning.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 12 day stay in one of the apartments. It looked just like the photos listed online. I was able to cook with the utensils and pots/pan provided. The only downside was that the apartment does not have air conditioning. So it did get a little warm in there which made me a little uncomfortable. But this only occurred the last few days as the outside temperature got warmer. They do supply a fan which is good. Overall, I would definitely recommend and I do plan on going back to stay when I return to London soon.

The apartment was a bit warm, nobody there to get the temperature setting right. Also, poor noise insulation: foot steps and recreational activities could be heard from upstairs

Good location, comms and Easley check-in and pleasant condition, although covered sofas are split under and really are not comfortable to sit on (maybe just my room).

That’s all the good stuff….if you need quiet after midnight don’t stay here. Might have been my bad luck but the room was stomping around until 2:45am and y like dragging furniture around! The problem is worsened I think as this is a conversion and sound insulation is poor added to the hard floor surfaces.

Poor quality hotel with very thin walls

I stayed in this hotel for a business trip for several days. Initially, I was very excited, as the apartment looked promising, however there were several things that I found really disappointing.

Positives:
- Room looks like the pictures
- Comfortable bed
- Nice to have a kitchen in the room

Negatives:
- Was told the room would be clean but found an old contact lens on the floor, peanuts on the floor, and dirty marks in all of the drawers and fridge
- Brought my own pans for hygiene reasons but they didn't work as the kitchen has an induction hob - the pans provided were dirty so I had to buy new ones
- On the back of the door, it said bins would be changed daily - this was not the case due to \"Covid\" but could have been done easily by cleaning staff. You had to change the bin yourself - this was not made clear from the start.
- Room was cleaned once a week but you weren't told what day the cleaners were going to come
- Poor communication - I sent a message via the communication platform provided, my message was read within minutes but no reply
- The quality of the hotel itself and everything in it is quite poor - the front door does not close properly, and guests often leave it open - which is dangerous.
- Walls were VERY THIN, could hear my neighbours having sex on several occasions and this was very uncomfortable, could also hear cleaning staff cleaning other rooms at 7am which disturbed my sleep

Overall: would not recommend this hotel, not worth the money

The property was located 15 min from rail station and town which was fine but very little places to eat out or drink any closer than that. Notice in property said that if we put notice on door for room clean etc this would be done, we did this on 2 occasions but nothing was done.

Considerate management

The apartments have been recently built and contain everything you need. In hot weather they get warm as there is no air conditioning and the window only opens at the top. The sound insulation could be better. The access to the rear carpark is very tight, so check thete is a carpark space before entering, as you will find it difficult to exit. We curtailed our planned stay due to neighbouring guests being inconsiderate and smoking against house rules. The management were very sorry and offered a refund for the nights not used.

Nice comfortable Hotel but ..

The apartment was clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay. Check in/out was all electronic so you don't really need anyone attending to you. I liked everything about this place but just one thing. The floor boards are sooo VERY thin. I heard the one above me a good part of the night- just walking and fidgeting. That's what i was not happy about.
