Check was good and front desk member very friendly. Room was a tad on the small side ( probably the smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in) only access to the bed on one side and no bedside chest just a small shelf. We weren’t overly bothered as we literally only spent a few hours there. Read on other reviews that there was no tea/coffee making facilities so we took our own. Only 2 hangers provided and only 1 socket so if you both want to charge your phone this could be an issue. Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom clean and liquid soap provided. It’s quite a busy area close to East Croydon train station so expect some noise. Overall good value

Decent room. I only stayed for 1 night, for convenience. It was quiet enough, apart from some odd sounding pipe/boiler sound throughout the entire evening. I took earplugs so it didn't bother me, just something to note.
The water pressure and temperature drops off ever 2 seconds which is really weird. I had that happen the previous time I was staying here as well.
There's no glasses or cups to use for water which isn't ideal.
Bed is comfy, AC/heating works well, staff pleasant.

It's cheap depending on the day and an easy 20 minutes ride in to the city on the Thameslink for around £4.50 one way.

The pillows were fine for me others may find them too flat/cheap, the beds aren't comfortable and are quite hard.

The noise form the AC even when turned off is annoying at best.

Also can hear street noise too.

The showers have infrequent pressure. Very minimal storage with no desk and one side table.

Not ideal for a light sleeper or for anyone with much luggage, however if you're a heavy sleeper and just looking for cheap and easy access to London, can be a decent place.

Very cheap and I suppose in some ways you get what you pay for but it was a very bare room with no nightstands or anything to put devices on whilst charging so your phones either left dangling or is charging whilst on your bed the walls are really thin and you can hear everything from the other rooms. The overall hotel wasn’t particularly clean a lot of dust and stained carpets in the hall etc. the hotel worked as a spot to sleep after the football but I’d probably look at booking somewhere else next time.

Stay was disappointing. 2 night stay. Check in was smooth, however, we were given a room that had not been cleaned. Bed was unmade and there were towels on the bed. Thankfully the guy at reception was helpful and gave us another room. We discovered that the bottom of the bed and on the sheets, there was dirt and stains. I woke up with bites all over my back. Not a good experience at Easy Hotel Croydon.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. It is very run down and in poor condition. When my partner and I arrived the reception was more concerned with chatting to his colleague than helping us. His colleague kept staring at us and making us really uncomfortable. When we got to the room eventually it was very rundown. There was no toilet paper, the drain for the shower didn't stay in and kept floating away when we used the shower. The walls were dirty and there was dirt and rust all round the windows. The TV did not work properly so we had to use our phones and laptops to watch anything. The bed creaked every time we moved and the floor was flithy. Whilst I appreciate it is a budget hotel it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in and I will not be returning. If I could give this hotel a 0 star I would.

The room was too small with no table to keep stuffs as simple as a phone while charging. The toilet paper was of very low quality.
I got stuck in the lift with my daughter on the third floor. Rang the alarm on the lift and a man picked but his voice wasn't audible while he was communicating. I called the reception and no one was picking. I was in the lift for 20mins untill i thought of calling the fire bridgade. They came as soon as possible and got us out of there. So we spent 30mins in the lift before we were rescued. The staff didnt even sympathise with us when we got out. No apologies and no word from management. This was really a bad experience for us and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. For the rest of our stay we had to use the stairs to the fourth floor where our room was located. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

It is very close to Easy Croydon station with a Sainsburys local near by, so it was perfect for a night stay before flying out early the next day from Gatwick. The room was however a bit basic, hair dryer to be requested from reception and no kettle in case you want to make a drink. Room was good and it was comfortable. The building was a bit old but the interior is not bad at all.

A hotel that isn't safe nor practical for guests

When we checked in we paid the extra £20 to check-out at 13:00, however the front-desk staff coded our key cards to expire at 11:00.

We were asleep in the morning with the room door dead-bolted, however to my horror the housekeeping lady's access card had the dead-bolt override flag set to yes. This allowed her to let herself in at 10:50 in the morning despite our check-out time extended to 13:00. This is a security breach as dead-bolt override key cards are normally only used by hotel security staff.

On the surface, the prices always seem lower than other places; however there are catches. For starters, the check-out time is 10am and extending that costs £20. There is then an additional £5 charge for luggage storage. Once all's added up, it works out better to stay somewhere else.

I booked an access room for me in the wheelchair user friend, there was no room beside either side of the bed for his wheelchair the red chord in the bathroom were tied off and the supports the shower came out the wall when he was showering causing him to injure himself, luckily I was there otherwise he might have died in that hotel room needless to say the easy hotel is anything but easy please avoid like the plague pay the extra and book somewhere decent

Felt very unsafe in this area. Went to get dinner around was put in a very unsafe situation that could have ended badly. Would not recommend. Very far from the city and paying for the train is not worth it. Just book in the city. Not worth the money. Room was very dirty. Not clean at all. Mold in the bathrooms. Brown stains on the toilet. Please be safe!

Travelodge, which is priced similarly to EasyHotels, offers significantly better quality.

The window frames at the one in Croydon are very old, providing poor insulation. The air conditioning unit is subpar and the room extremely small.
However, the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Overpriced to be classed as budget

The room is literally just a bed & a TV. No bedside tables, no lamp no chair ect. I know it's Budget- but is really no lighting behind the bedframe or somewhere to put a bottle of water or my phone when charging to much to ask when paying over £100 still?! Lol. The window was also very dodgy - the curtain was actually blowing whilst it was shut so the room overall was pretty cold!

Cons - Room a bit cold due to windows not sealed properly. No bedside table. Small shower room meaning once you've showered you need to pop shoes on to go in the bathroom or get wet socks as no bath matt is supplied. Super firm bed & flat pillows. No mirror in the bedroom & no plug sockets near the bathroom so straightening hair hard work

Pro's - Close to the train station. Shower pressure decent. Overall the room was clean. Bodywash/soap dispenser in the bathroom. Lighting in the bathroom good. Plus sockets at each side of the bed.

This is more than a basic budget hotel, was not at all what we expected.
It is very near to the train station which is a plus, literally less than a 5 min walk.
The room we had was a 'twin' room. We had to give each other way as we couldn't even pass each other the space was so tight. The bathroom we did not dare turn on the shower as it would have soaked the whole space and the hand wash basin was soo small you hardly could brush your teeth without water going everywhere.
Would not choose to stop in this chain of hotels again. Using the word basic, does not give a true picture of how basic it is.

Good location just outside of London, only took us 45 minutes to get to the centre which was ideal. You get what you pay for, the rooms are very basic and wasn’t serviced once in 3 nights, there was 2 of us staying and we only got provided with a bath mat and 1 towel which wasn’t enough considering they weren’t replaced while we were there. Some concerns over their fire procedure and staff not helpful at all, fire alarm went off in the morning intermittently so we went down the stairs next to our room to reach the bottom floor and there was no door handle and the door was locked, there was only a doorbell which we rang and no member of staff came to us, I had to ring reception to ask them what was going on to which they told us we didn’t need to evacuate, some red flags there seeing that no one told us it was a drill and the door out the fire exit was locked meaning we were stuck. The room we stayed in was also an ‘accessible’ room with a wet room but it was on the 7th floor meaning if someone staying was in a wheelchair they wouldn’t be able to evacuate in a fire. If you want basic accommodation just outside London it’s ideal but a lot of safety concerns especially if you need an accessible hotel.

Arrived to the property to find a car park covered in smashed glass, rubbish all over the car park.
Once inside there was nobody to check in with but staff stood chatting even after seeing me standing there. Eventually one of the staff checked me in. That night i couldn't sleep, woke at midnight ish to find bugs in the bed. I went to find someone however once again nobody around nobody to help. I packed up and left. The next day I contacted the hotel to see if i can get another room or a refund if another room wasn't possible, they explained because I didn't speak to anyone i couldn't receive either!!
I spoke to the customer service team here who couldn't do anything! So not only am i down an overpriced hotel but had to spend to stay elsewhere. AVOID this hotel- disgusting overpriced dirt hole

As advertised, the rooms are as basic as possible. Just a bed and a tv in n the room and a fixed coat hanger on the wall. Sockets both mains and usb either side of the bed were handy. Bathroom with sink toilet and shower was clean and well presented. A bit of street noise could be heard even after closing the secondary window. For an overnight stay and morning freshen up it was perfect for me. If you expect more then go elsewhere.

I would recommend this to anyone who needs a nice safe place to stay while conducting their business in the Croydon vicinity. The staff are very very helpful and kind. I will be staying there going forward.
