I've marked 4 in respect of cleanliness.
Our room was clean but I marked down because of the kitchen. The manager Joe is constantly it but it is a communal kitchen and is often left dirty by other guests, despite the notices asking them to keep clean when they use.
Joe works tirelessly trying to keep the facilities of the premises in good condition.
Parking is available for about 4 cars on a first come first served basis.

Communication is poor.. I informed them that I will be checking in late and gave them the time that I will be arriving but I was not given check in instructions in time.The property has no reception accept for a lone caretaker.
Advert says parking is free but there’s only enough for 6 cars .Parking along the street is strictly permit holder only between 8am -6:30pm. So if you have to park on the street you need to make sure you move your car before 8am…

no reception.

I checked in and left straight away. The room was very basic and too bright and I did not feel it was a very safe environment. The man who gave me the card for access to the room could hardly speak English and I could hear a baby crying the few minutes I was in the room. I went there as I needed some quiet time to do some paperwork and unfortunately this didn’t work out. I will go to the premier inn in future which is a much nicer place and about the same price.

Easy access with key card that gave access to the room and building. Shared kitchen had basic supplies and breakfast which was an added extra. Room also had a simple kitchenette with fridge. Bed very comfortable. Only criticism was room was very warm.

Check in was fairly straight forward. Individual onsite who allocated a card door key which allows you entry to main door and individual room. Room was clean andt there was a small kitchen area with fridge and two hob cooker. Bed was clean and confortable. Only issue was the noise of the plumbing. Shops are not nearby so be aware if you are planning to visit. Nice location and very quiet. I would certainly return.

The apartment was clean and tidy and the staff we met were friendly we only booked for one night and as far as the room was concerned all was good. The stay itself was ok but our only issue was the do it yourself breakfast as you needed to cook the food yourself in a well equipped kitchen but deciding we didn't want to cook opted for cereal but there was none to be found which was dissapointing.

Expected a value for money no frills room. Room was basic, but spacious, clean and comfortable. However, it felt like there were several long term residents and felt like a hostel or HMO. Two fridges given over to them, a third fridge for short term stays. The whoke kitchen was dirty and scruffy, and the fridge for guests diy breakfast not the cleanest. Eggs, bacon, milk, an inch of apple juice and spread. All the bread was wholemeal. Not recommended.

This hotel was cheap and cheerful. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfy and check in was nice and easy with friendly hotel staff. We used the free parking outside the front of the hotel where there were numerous spots available.
I would happily stay here again in the future.

A clean and tidy room freshly painted. Kettle in the room. Bed was and old sprung mattress that bent in half and springs stuck in your back. Completely knackered. Comfy bed is basic essential.

No check in information/instructions provide. No reception.

Bathroom was fairly modern but shower was leaking and floor peeling off. Very bad stench as water backed up in sink and drain blocked.

Common room and kitchen available to share if you want to make food. Central location 10 mins to train/town. Friendly helpful staff.

Wouldn't want to stay for any length of time due to the social housing residents making it quite noisy and they didn't seem to keep the kitchen that tidy.

We had not tried an aparthotel until now. Despite the signs around the building to keep the noise down, some of the residents did not. I slept well but my wife did not.
Parking was a problem as it is only limited on the forecourt. The road has parking restrictions immediately outside which meant that we had to be out by 8am. You could park further away beyond the restrictions but I did not want to leave the car too far away.
The bedroom and en suite were in good condition and the shower was spacious and everything was clean.
Breakfast was a bit limited but bacon, eggs, bread and cornflakes provided.

Excellent property and brilliant for a short stay. Very easy process to check in and check out. Limited parking on site which meant I had to park on the streets a little walk away from the place. Luckily, it was a weekend which meant I was able to park on the permit holders bay otherwise, I would've been stuck. There was a student party happening close by which meant loud music was being played. Also, the kitchen was closed at 10pm and we arrived late so had to eat the food cold as we did not have access to a microwave.

The price is okay considering how much hotels in the area are charging. The family room was a good size. There wasn't much in the fridge to cook breakfast, and somebody took my water bottle. But overall, I'd recommend it if you want to stay in the area and don't want to pay a fortune.

Joe the Manager provided great service to us. Rugs could have used a shampooing. Kitchen walls could have used repainting as there were splatter stains from prior use.

Communal kitchen for free breakfast was on your own to cook or make. Bread for toast; butter; jam; milk; cereal; apple juice; orange juice; bacon and eggs. Kitchen dishes and cookware provided.

Communal sitting area for eating or resting to watch TV; listen to music or read.

Change of towels on request and no maid service.

But, everything else was fine. The monorail train noise went from about 7:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m. at night, but lasted maybe less than 5 seconds and the sound was pretty light and didn't bother us much.

Average guest house bavking onto railway.

This is a budget hotel at best and suited my needs. The rear rooms all back onto a busy railway line.
Roons were clean and functional, with a dropbox to collect the electronic room key.
Breakfast is self help in the kitchen and fridge well stocked with bread, bacon, eggs and orange juice etc.
All in it did what it said on the tin.

“Aparthotel” is the brand of this range of properties and I wouldn’t say it describes this venue, which is more like a hostel - because the small kitchen is shared.
The bedroom was large and the bathroom / shower were very nice. The single bed appeared unused as it was dusty, which suggests the beds aren’t routinely changed if they appear unused. There were a couple of hairs on the towel and cobwebs on the ceiling, but most of the place seemed clean. Though the bedroom wall/ceiling was cracked and parts needed cleaning/repainting.
The bed was sufficient though some of the pillows were very flat.
The breakfast provisions were fairly basic but sufficient for a short stay. Eggs, bacon, bread, cornflakes, milk, fruit juice. You cook for yourself (when there is space in the kitchen) and clean up after yourself.
It was a cheap stay but I would prefer to stay at a hotel next time.

Underwhelming, staff seemed completed disconnected with everything going on & dazed, room was average, beds were poor (broken springs in mattress - sunk - stains on bedding, thin pillows), walls were very thin & could easily hear numerous guests. Generally wouldn’t recommend this, 2 star stay, below average experience. If you’re reading this review, I recommend to look elsewhere.

We had an ok stay. We had twin beds which in themselves were comfortable but one was quite noisy whilst turning over (and I do alot of turning during the night).
The soundproofing wasn't very good, you could people talking outside our door and people moving and banging around in their rooms. I didn't like the breakfast arrangement, but for others that would probably be ok. You can make your own meals (which is fine) but the cooking smells fill the whole of the downstairs.

Very pleasant , relaxed . Not new to the town but good driving around , parking at the place is good. Just needs markings so customers or residents can share equally. Some take a lot of space forgetting others as parking along is fir permit holders only. In the house itself is quiet and airy and spacious.

My stay

When I arrived, I found an empty space for my car otherwise I would have had to paid to park it elsewhere. My room was at the front of the hotel, upstairs, which meant I could keep an eye on my car. I, and everyone else, had to help ourselves to what ever was in the fridge and make it ourselves. There was a bus stop, a few minutes walk away, in Brighton Road if I felt like going towards Wimbledon or Hackbridge. The train station was further on. The trains went to either Victoria, London Bridge, Epsom or Dorking and, sometimes, were a good service. There is a small Tesco Express, between the bus stop and the station in Brighton Road for anyone wanting to buy something.

From the start the communication was excellent and the host, could not have been more professional and friendly.
If you're expecting Claridge or the Ritz, then this is not for you. How ever, if you're content with a clean and tidy surrounding (albeit looking a little tired and in need of refreshing) that's certainly value for money, This Is The Place you need to be. I genuinely would have stayed longer, but unsurprisingly, it was booked up.
Will definitely make to this direction when next in the area. Thank you.

However, breakfast was not available from 7am. I went down at 07:20 and couldn’t access the kitchen for breakfast, which was locked.
I arrived slightly late for check-in but there were no issues - thank you.
Railway running 20 yards from my bedroom window was less than ideal and was pretty noisy. Fortunately, I was so tired I slept!

We stayed for a night - at least it was just one since I wouldn't like to repeat the experience.
I booked a regular double room and they allocated us one of the first rooms - absolutely awful. It had an accessibility bathroom: Mold in walls, the space to take a shower was a heinous.
The bed was horrible. The mattress was so old. As soon we took the sheet on top we could see two forms where other people slept. It was so noisy when I just moved sides.
The room had an old carpet.
Windows didn't isolated from the cold.
The room wasn't very clean.
No contact with the staff besides when we did the check-in. Not even a good afternoon, but just a mention where we would be staying and taking the key card from the box and given it to us.
Not sure how other guests can recommend this place for the price you pay per night.

The room was reasonable, but very cold. The breakfast as none existent. We at to go in the kitchen and find food either in the fridge and look for plates and cups in cupboards. If we wanted hot food we at to cook it ourselves with utensils that were used and dirty on the sink. We will not go there again!

A sleepless night.

When I arrived there is no reception, you need to ring a door bell and wait for someone to reply and open the door, eventually I spoke to someone and they gave me my key card for my room, and that was that no instructions about anything. My room was ok, not the cleanest with what looked like a small parch of mould on one wall. My room was on the ground floor with a patio door which didn’t seem to lock properly, leaving me feeling not very safe. The bed was uncomfortable, I had little sleep. Breakfast was a no go for me, the kitchen was dirty, lots of open stuff in the fridges, so I left with not having breakfast. When I went to check out I couldn’t find anyone. Not a very good stay, will not be staying again.

A great place to stay while working in the area. Great value for money. Very handy being able to use the kitchen. Some instructions for the controls on the shower would be handy. My only quibble was my room was very close to a railway line and the passing trains were very noisy. They didn’t run all night though, but could be a problem if your a light sleeper. Otherwise a real good place to stay. Clean, comfy and easy. Close to local amenities.

I appreciate the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms but as someone sensible to noise, heating conversations through thin walls, noisy heating and being next to the rail line was annoying. Check in was not smooth and the mattresses were saggy with only a flat sheet between the mattress and you.
