Every person working here was absolutely fantastic. They set the bar for service . That goes for the check in, the food staff, the landskeepers, and the drivers. They were all amazing. The grounds and room were beautiful. I can recommend this place enough! I travel a bunch and this was my wife and my heaven. We loved everything about the Komaneka at Tanggayuda. The food was fantastic, breakfast with a smile and warmth every day. They made our 30th Wedding Anniversary so very special. Thank you and God Bless!

This is a beautiful and peaceful resort. We loved our one-bedroom pool villa. It was so refreshing and relaxing. Best of all were the people who run the resort. They went beyond my expectations to provide us with the best stay. Everyone was so friendly and genuine. I was so sad to say goodbye. If I return to Bali, I will return to the Komaneka!

Amazing property and staff! The property is serene, we stayed in two-story Villa, which is absolutely amazing! Views are breathtaking. Floating breakfast is a must! Staff is very attentive, property has shuttle to the main areas in Ubud, and to many wonderful restaurants around. Restaurant at the property had great food as well.

Komaneka brand is one of the best luxury hotel brands in Bali. This is our second stay at Tanggayuda in last couple of years and we really like the comfort and personalisation given to us during our stays.

We requested to have Indian food selection at breakfast and the team at Komaneka were very accommodating, every staff at the restaurant knew the food preference and name of the family members. So much detail in service level is exceptional.

Special thanks to Litsya (front desk) and Ngakan (chef) which made our stay with our parents memorable, we will definitely stay at the hotel again in Ubud.

My only recommendation will be to add few child friendly activities other than draw and paint, maybe a small play area or toys for children of all ages should help keep the little ones busy.

Room and facility was as expected from photos. Great service staff and everyone is very pleasant. AC works great, which is sometimes a worry. Food and spa services are very reasonable priced. Recommend to book spa services ahead of schedule, as it fills up quickly. They give you free water bottles everyday and provide mesquites spray for the rooms and yourself if needed.

We considered staying at a national chain like Westin or Ritz, but this was a great choice.

This place is a 5 star resort. Its beautiful. Some construction while we were there but otherwise very quiet & peaceful. Very comfortable with all the mod cons.
It only gets 4 stars though due to the restaurant being very basic. Its a long way into town but eating in the resorts restaurant more than once is not really an inspiring option.
Breakfast is pretty good actually but dinner was pretty much 2 star dinning.

We had a wonderful 4 day stay in a premium pool villa (108) facing the jungle. Great sized villa, good food, prompt service. My only comment was the water temperature in our pool villa was a tad cool - it was a bracing moment every time we got in. It was nice to be 10 mins drive outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre. Komaneka has a regular shuttle service every 2 hours into town and we used it often.

Komaneka is amazing. Top tier service. Top tier value. Top tier room. Top tier property. We planned our stay in Ubud to get some rest and peace. Komaneka was the perfect place. Our private plunge pool, jungle views, and property amenities made this a 12/10.

Service was impeccable. The concierge team remembered requests we made even after my wife and I forgot we had even inquired. They whole team made us feel like family.

The breakfast poolside and at the restaurant were delicious.

And when we wanted to go into town, the shuttle service was perfect. It dropped us off right in front of the monkey Forrest or the restaurant we wanted and had a convienent pick up at the downtown Ubud Komaneka.

We will be coming back anytime we stay in Ubud.

The staff is absolutely amazing! Very thankful to them but the property is NOT a five star hotel. I understand that it’s in a humid climate so upkeep is hard but starting with the towels and robes, please replace them. It’s kind of unpleasant to wipe with a towel that is grayish color and put on a robe that looks like it’s 10 yrs old. There were threads coming out of it and was also gray color. Our room shower was having issues and outdoor shower didn’t have cold water but that wasn’t a problem. For indoor shower we had to adjust it for good 3-4 min because it wasn’t running correctly. If I paid less for this hotel I would be submitting a really nice review but paying $400/night in Bali (which is a lot) I’d expect to get what I paid for or at least transfer me to a room with no issues. If I could leave a review for the staff, it would be 7 out of 5, that’s how much we liked them.

Beautiful hotel in the jungle. Very well maintained grounds. Friendly and helpful service always. Loved our villa with private pool. Free shuttle was very convenient since hotel is not in the center of town.

Note that hotel is not accessible. There are no elevators and some staircases had no handrails, which can make navigating the stairs unsafe for older guests.

Was not pleased that the hotel was trying to collect payment several days prior to our stay. Told me that full payment was due 14 days prior to arrival to guarantee booking. Expedia booking stated that payment would be collected on arrival.

This place is heaven!!! We stayed 3 nights and I wish we would have stayed longer. We had a villa with pool and view of the jungle and it was incredible. UBud was my favourite place in Bali. The Komeneka staff was so helpful, and the shuttle to and from the hotel to downtown UBud was very simple and appreciated. The breakfast included was delicious and more then we expected. I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat! It’s one of my favourites ever! If you’re thinking about it! Just do it!

The service and staff were excellent, and went above and beyond for all of our needs. We had absolutely zero complaints. It was a perfect start to our honeymoon. This is definitely the place to stay if you want to spend time around Ubud without being in the middle of the busy streets and noisy motorbikes.

Service from the staff was impeccable! Really great attention to detail from arrival to departure. Having been to many hotels around the world this is definitely number 1 for service and hence the highest rating.

Only a few things, we got a pool villa but the pool was way colder than the normal pools near the restaurant. It was too cold to use but luckily they have an amazing large shared pool and heated pool to use.

Secondly, the room although lovely, can do with an update such as wiring so you can switch off lights with a single switch, and more sockets near the bed for phone/camera charging.

Finally, maybe hourly shuttle would be better than every 2 hourly. Esp given that ubud city is where you would want to go for most of the days there.

The hotel is a bit out in the middle of nowhere but its very nice. Surrounded by lots of trees and nature. The pools are very lovely as well. Everything is so private, speaking of private. You get your very own pool in each villa. The room is very spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning is cold and makes the room feel crisp. The only complaint I have is that the lighting in the bathroom was a bit dim, the lights need to be replaced with brighter bulbs.

Overall we had a great stay. The staff (Febi) was super nice and helpful, I would recommend.

Overall the experience was ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The hotel grounds were extremely well-maintained, the staff were among some of the friendliest people we’ve ever met, and views of the jungle were incredible. The room was beautiful with tropical decor and the impressive views of the jungle from the second-story royal pool villa speak for themselves. The room had a secluded outdoor shower which allowed a fun way to experience nature every day. Food at the on-site restaurant was excellent, presented a great selection, the staff were extraordinarily attentive, and accommodated any special requests feasible. I highly recommend the Soto Ayam soup for lunch and for breakfast, the multiple courses with fresh-baked croissants (regular and chocolate-filled), various fresh fruit jams, tableside tea or French-press coffee, and Balinese dish main course selections were all extremely delicious. Afternoon tea/coffee and Balinese pastries were a wonderful touch and gave us an opportunity to experience some of the unique Balinese fruits and flavors. We give this place our highest rating possible for the unforgettable experience and look forward to returning in the future!

This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The hotel staff, rooms and food were all fantastic. To have your menu's personalised daily, transport to Ubud, all the staff treating you like family and authentic Balinese cooking is like nothing I have ever experienced. I could not recommend highly enough. The pricing is also extremely reasonable.

One note for any light sleepers, remember you are in the rain forest, so remember some ear plugs.

This hotel is amazing!

Service: definitely 5-star! Everyone greeted us when they saw us. Details were handled well where the hotel staff always noted where we were and only cleaned our room when we were at other venues (i.e. no morning house-keeping knock!). We even had a wood crafting session with the staff which was amazing.
Food: food quality is good. Bread and Croissants were served hot. The breakfast choice was limited for a 5-star hotel, however, I guess this is reasonable as the hotel only has a limited number of guests staying and they have a different menu each day. The hotel also served free afternoon tea which I found very delicious! Free cookies in the room!
Location: The location is a bit isolated. Good for someone who wants to have a quiet stay. The hotel also has free transport to ubud center which provides convenience for people who wants to see the attractions nearby.
Facilities: Infinity pool is amazing and is definitely an Instagram photo spot. The bed is so comfortable and the bed linen was extremely clean. Few geckos on the wall outside but they are sacred at people and will not come to you.
Overall: Will definitely come back in the future.

My wife and I like relaxing with a drink before dinner so the lack of a proper bar was a bit disappointing. The \"bar\" area on the top deck acts as a private dinning area and most nights was off limits to us.

The toilet seat was broken and every time when we use it, we had to be really careful not to get hurt and the flushing in the shower didn't work. Every time when we shower the water overflowed to the floor. The breakfast was serviced by two staffs and the service was slow and the quality of food was bad compare to what I've paid. Generally the hotel is really old and not maintained well just like most of hotel in Bali. I would not go back to this hotel. Simply overpriced and not worth of money I've paid.

Paradise is real - Loved it!

What an Amazing Experience. Located 15-20 minutes drive outside of Ubud Centre is a secret escape in the Jungle. /
It was barely any visitors when we stayed there so we had basically the whole place for ourselves. All staff where super friendly- professional but personal, calling us by name the whole stay. Organising the room for morning, day and night time.

The infinity pool(s) are amazing too. 3 course breakfast included OMG!

Only downside I can think of would be the shuttle bus into the centre.
Every second hour - We missed out on the last one in the evening to have dinner in the centre and had to pay for the same shuttle 160.000 INDR and take the free one back.
I very easy if you are planning around it and just make sure your at the right place at the right time. They can drop you off at Ridge walk & Monkey forest as well!

Super easy - Super Relaxed - Couldn't recommend it enough!
Expensive to be Bali, but you get value for money.

Great resort with amazing gardens. The groundskeeping team did a really great job in presenting this resort. Afternoon tea everyday was a treat, and all the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive. We had an outdoor bath and our own fishpond. The sounds of the frogs at night was really nice to listen to, sounded like they were singing. Would definitely stay here again.

Probably not the right place for me

Amazing service, really outstanding staff, beautiful property! The actual villas are nice but not amazing. The price is a bit steeper than some of the other hotels in the area that are on par quality wise but cheaper. But the thing that I didn’t like was that the shuttle didn’t run very often (only every two hours), and they won’t call cabs for you to the property but paying for their shuttle is over double the price of a cab. Their other property in town does have local cabs. I found out from a different staff member (but it was too late at this point) that they do call one cab company but they are metered so if you can negotiate that means they are WAY pricier than the local cabs too. Definitely stay here if you want to enjoy the quiet and don’t want to go into ubud that often but I didn’t feel like the beautiful surroundings made the distance worth it for me. They don’t even have hikes in the area at least it was very unclear when I asked.

We stayed here for our honeymoon for 6 days in Oct 2018. The staff were excellent and great customer service. They treat you like family here. Adi, was very helpful and very attentive to our needs. The manager even personally said hello to us upon our arrival. When I fell ill, they made sure that I was looked after and they made me and my husband feel very welcomed here.

Perfect honeymoon retreat in the heart of Ubud

We stayed at Komaneka for 5 days out of our honeymoon and honestly we could have stayed there for the whole 2 weeks!
The hotel grounds have been woven perfectly and respectfully into the surrounding nature and the views from the infinity pool of the jungle. Our Chalet had a private pool, outdoor stone bath, patio with lounge chairs, and probably the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Komaneka do well to provide you with plug converters, daily bottled water, mosquito spray for inside, mosquito coils for outside and a mosquito net over the bed. The vibe at the hotel is very romantic and the staff are so lovely and all know you on a first name basis. The rooms are clean as well as the grounds and the breakfast is a la carte but delicious and filling with different choices everyday. We decided to book our activities for the days after we checked out just because we felt so relaxed and pampered at Komaneka. There is free afternoon tea, free cookies and on certain days a Balinese bbq with traditional Balinese dancers. The staff gave us two cakes, one for our honeymoon and one for my husband's birthday. They even gave us a honeymoon gift bag when we left and dropped us part of the way to our next hotel (there is a free shuttle to town).
We loved our stay at Komaneka - we cant talk about it without smiling and honestly cant wait to go back to and spend more time in Ubud. We found our family and our home away from home. Thank you Komaneka!

However, I felt bad when the staff let the Australian couple take the shuttle first even though my family arrived first and waited.
Staff said it was because of our luggage, but they and we used the same size car and it didn't make sense. Other than that, overall it was okay.

The best of the best! All Komaneka resorts are incredibly wonderful, but this one at Tanggayuda is the best I've visited yet. The staff are phenomenal, the grounds are beautiful, and the facilities are exceptional. Everyone is like family and it feels like a home away from home!!!

Amazing hotel in the middle of the jungle with great views from different (private) infinity pools. The people and stuff are super friendly and always very helpful if we had any questions or something to organise. Also a shuttle from the hotel to different locations in Ubud is avaliable for free which is very good. All in all a great stay for my wife and me.

Boutique hotel with very warm staff

We had a great 3 nights family holiday at the Komaneka. Initially we had some issues with check-in but the resort manager and staff more than made up for it and made sure that our every request was attended to immediately. The staff are the best part of this hotel. They are really warm and helpful. We were staying with our 6 y o and they made sure she felt very special by addressing her by her name and also making sure that there was kids sized slippers, bathrobes and night gowns available. She was thrilled to find these in her size! The heated pool was another one of our fav. The hotel has a regular free shuttle to diff tourist attractions which was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this property.

Peaceful and serene with all the luxury you need

This is not a 5 star hotel for nothing. Komaneka at Tanggayuda is something else. This is not the first time I’ve been to 5 star hotels but this one has become my new favorite. From the property’s facilities up to every inch of their service, this is a 5-star. It’s expensive but I think you get the equivalent of your money in return. I came here with my brother and my aunt and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff are friendly and made sure we got everything we need. We got the premiere pool villa and the view is a killer! In the morning, I tried their floating breakfast and I didnt pay an extra charge since our booking includes free breakfast. If you want peace and enjoy luxury at the same time, this is the place for you ❤️

Great boutique hotel for a quiet break - 10/10

Fantastic hotel with staff who could not be more friendly. Very intimate and small with only 35 rooms so it is a very quiet place, which we loved.

The breakfast and afternoon tea are great and while there is only one restaurant for dinner, it is in a beautiful setting with a wide menu.

I would definitely stay here again

Amazing stay

We spent 3 nights at Komaneka for our anniversay and it was absolutely bliss. We stayed at a villa with private pool.

From the first moment we were welcomed to the moment we left. Service was super friendly and professional. Our personal assistant was Febe and she was just sweet and wonderful. The pools were fantastic and better than the pictures we've seen. We loved the breakfast. The resort is well kept and you are surrounded by nature everywhere you go. All the rooms have great privacy. They offer free afternoon tea where you're served traditional sweets and cakes.

We loved everything about this place and can't wait to return!

The views are breathtaking. The greenery is unmatched. The infinity pools are fantastic. The hotel staff was the most kind and accommodating ppl you can imagine. Checked in with us to ensure our comfort and organized all of our excursions. Unbelievably nice esp Tika and Edi, one of the driver. The breakfast, which is included, tasted great with different options every three days.
The hotel is well kept and super clean. Rooms look like they were recently renovated esp the bathroom. All in all a must stay.

Little piece of heaven with the most amazing staff

This resort was so so beautiful and we had the most amazing time. We stayed here as the first part of our honeymoon and the suite was decorated beautifully. The staff were the highlight as I have never stayed in a place where every single staff is so warm and friendly. We were given a tour at the beginning and sent off with a nice little farewell gift. The food, especially the breakfast was very good too. I would love to come back in the future and stay here as the area is also very peaceful and calm. the pools and the other resort areas were all so so beautiful.

Idyllic resort with friendly staff

We loved our stay at Komaneka. Highlights were our huge room with private pool and outdoor shower, the friendly staff who were always so helpful and made us feel like family, free shuttle rides to town, great restaurant with amazing free breakfast, relaxing spa treatment and the quiet, soothing atmosphere. This is a beautiful hotel with top notch service.
We booked the two bed room villa.
The pool was awesome and was topped only by the service in the hotel. The hotel staff really went above and beyond to ensure our stay in the hotel was amazing.
Food was good but the deserts could be improved upon. Literally the only problem I had with the hotel was that they dont offer a buffet breakfast and I personally love pigging out at breakfast. However the other aspects more than make up for this minor issue. Thank you komaneka for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful villa but distant

Staff were very quick to attend our needs, we had a few hiccups e.g not all Apple TV movies were working (which was rectified at the end of our stay), lizard in room which got caught and shown to us. The villa was beautiful and spacious. We loved the separate bathrooms. Lights are very dim though, especially inside the shower. However the location is not very convenient as taxis were not allowed in it, although there was a shuttle every 2 hours. We do feel every 2 hours is too long though. The girl driving us back from dinner at Bridges on Wednesday was excellent. We booked a villa with a pool however didn't use it once as it was too cold. The infinity pool was also beautiful however we didn't see many people in it the whole time we were there as it was freezing so we felt this was a waste. There was another heated pool however we do recommend the main pool in front of the restaurant be heated during the day as temperatures in Ubud are slightly cooler. Breakfast service was slow and there was miscommunication at times with the restaurant staff. Could not fault the service otherwise. Make sure you bring insect repellant as it's near the jungle, the bugs cannot be avoided. Cookies in the room are also a nice touch :) The cleaners also did a spectacular job. They were very efficient, and like ninjas had our pajamas out ready for us after dinner so kudos to them!
