The staff members were great. The hotel is right next door to a popular restaurant, The Point, but the restaurant at the hotel, Eloise, was just as good if not better.

The location is great to be able to visit Las Grietas and water taxis are readily available.

We stayed in a suite with a king bed, and our only suggestion would be to upgrade the bathtubs or remove them completely.

It was the perfect three-day stay otherwise.

Wonderful time at the Angermeyer hotel. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Room clean and spacious. Breakfast, especially the daily changing juice and delicious coffee were spot on. Only thing we missed was an outside lounging area for sub bathing/chilling, other than the space in front of the office.

The requirement of a water taxi to get to the hotel while daunting at first, is not an issue at all as they are cheap and plentiful. Our room had a great ocean view. The housekeeping and Turndown services were perfectly timed.

Beautiful view and very friendly staff. You do have to take a water taxi ($1 and operates 24/7) to the main part of downtown Santa Cruz but the view is worth it! Also it’s across from The Point by Midoro which as an amazing view and food. I would stay there again!

You have to take a water taxi to and from the main pier of Santa Cruz which costs $1pp per way. The hotel area is quieter which is nice.

Our room (Pelican) had issues when we flushed the toilet and used the tap the room would smell of sewage. There was also a lack of power outlets in the room.

Food wise was very mediocre, breakfast was ok and dinner was average. The view is best thing about this hotel.

To get to the hotel, you need a water taxi that costs a dollar per person each way. If you leave twice a day towards the city, you should consider an additional $4 per person per day. The courtesy of the hotel receptionists is evident and noteworthy.
The breakfast is reasonable. There is not much choice, but you will not leave hungry.
The room itself is spacious, clean and quiet.
Throughout the 5 days there were small ants in the bathroom. I commented on this, but it was not fixed.
The hotel is next to an amazing snorkeling site - Las Grietas. If you come at 07:00 you will really enjoy the beauty and quiet. It costs $10 per person for 45 minutes. For us it was worth it and unforgettable.
The hotel has a stunning view on the roof. We enjoyed it twice in the evening when it was less hot.
We ate at the hotel restaurant once in the evening. It was delicious. The price is a little more expensive than restaurants in the city, but it was worth it. Small sharks come near the hotel and we even saw a large turtle for a few seconds.
The hotel's cleaning staff does a very good job. The only problem is that there is no synchronization between your departure to the city and the cleaning of the room. Coordination in this matter could be improved, so that whoever leaves gets priority in cleaning their room.
Overall, our stay at the hotel was very pleasant and I highly recommend it.

This place was insanely nice. It must be the nicest accommodation near Santa Cruz. The people who work here are so kind and helpful. I loved talking to Rebecca.

Right in front of the hotel there are lights that attract sharks, rays, sea lions, and fish, so you can sit at the restaurant with a drink or meal and watch wildlife right in front of you without leaving the hotel! The only meal I had here was breakfast, but it was lovely.

The oceanview room was beautiful.

You have to take a $1 water taxi to come and go from the hotel. The taxi ride to town is only a few minutes. It was super easy, and the longest wait we had was a couple minutes for the taxi to show up. The only thing I wish I knew is that it's hard to get small bills for the taxi. I would recommend bringing lots of ones with you so you don't have to ask the hotel to break larger bills every day.

I would absolutely come back here!

Beautiful location and friendly staff

The situation of the hotel is amazing. Just across the water from the main harbour so you can only get there by water taxi. We loved sitting at the restaurant terrace watching all the marine life swimming by. You can also jump into the water by the hotel and go for a swim if you want to cool off. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, we couldn’t fault the service we received. Overall we would certainly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Puerto Ayora.

We absolutely loved angermeyer. This was our favorite hotel during our stay.
A few things we learned during our visit
- We decided on doing a land visit instead of a cruise.
- The hotel set up a few snorkeling excursions for us while on this island- definitely do this in advanced. And check the boat. Some have air/ some don't.
-The Inn breakfast was amazing. 5star! It was a warm breakfast
-Staff was over the top
-We dined here twice as the food was so good compared to Santa Cruz.
-Santa Cruz was our least favorite island to visit but the ANGERmeyer was our favorite stay! Thank you!

A sweet spot to take it all in.

Stayed 3 nights November 2017. A very comfortable hotel a short and enjoyable water taxi away from the main pier. Great views of the harbor and a small beach a short shaded walk away were among the highlights of this well maintained property. Plenty of crabs, iguanas and finches on the grounds and the semi-isolation of being away from the main drag was especially appreciated at night. Staff were very nice and helpful, and I highly recommend the Angermeyer for those visiting Santa Cruz.

Great service from reception . Stayed at a standard room (Media Luna) which is on the smaller side but the view is great from its balcony . Breakfast is great . Get a table by the waterfront to have a relaxing time . Downside : need to take a water taxi to get to town (2 minute ride , $0.80-$1)

Fabulous location

This hotel was fabulous, it is a short taxi ride from Peutro Ayora across the harbour but the facility was great, the restaurant is right on the water and we would sit there for hours and watch all sort of creature swim past, fish, turtles, seals, iguanas, you can watch the Pelicans fishing for here as well. The whole complex was very clean and the staff were helpful, it is only a 15 minute walk from Las Grietas a beautiful swimming hole that we couldn't get enough of. I would recommend it and would love to come back, we had 4 nights here but could of easily stayed a week.

Well over-rated, but pretty good nonetheless

This hotel is a 3 star hotel all the way. It's propped up by a great location and relatively little competition as most of the alternatives seem to be of a hostel quality.
First the good:
-Great view from the outdoor restaurant area where you'll have your breakfast
-We enjoyed the need to take a water taxi to access it as the cove/marina it sits on is beautiful
-Very attentive staff
-Their chef is excellent. We didn't eat at the restaurant for dinner, but the included breakfast was well beyond what you'd expect. That guy knows what he's doing
-A/C worked well
Now the reality check:
-WAY, WAY, WAY overpriced for what you get. This is definitely a 3 star hotel at best with 4-5 star prices
-Our \"ocean view\" was a joke. Our room faced a bunch of hedges. To see the ocean, you'd need take 6 paces out onto our patio area, make a 90 degree turn and you'd be able to see a few small patches of water through the trees and other obstructions.
-Wifi: When you arrive, they tell you not to use one network as it does not work. Apparently, if there are more than 2 or 3 people on the other network, it doesn't work either
-Beds were uncomfortable

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but the cost was tough to swallow when measured against what you're actually getting

Waterfront resort

We stayed 5 days at the Angermeyer waterfront. Location, location, location!!! We loved being on the water and the hotel was easy to access by water taxi. You get a true galapagos feeling trying here. staff went above and beyond during our stay. The morning is plentiful and we ate lunch and dinner there as well. All the meals were great. The hotel staff will also help arrange daily excursions.

Great way to relax for a couple of days

Great experience. Meals and drinks are too expensive. Wifi outside the lobby is bad but around the reception area works fine, so who cares, you don't go to the Galápagos to be connected to a device.
Day and night you see all kind of marine life passing by the dock. Lots of birds and other wildlife to see, beautiful view of the harbour and entertaining to sit and watch boats coming and leaving the port. Cristian was great help when needed and the rest of the staff pleasant.

Lovely Hotel in a Great Setting

The hotel is old but well-maintained and in a perfect setting overlooking the harbor. Our rooms were immaculate and comfortable with balconies facing the harbor. Everyone on the staff was charming and helpful. The breakfast buffet had a nice selection of juices, fruits, eggs and pastries, and is included in your room rate. Other meals are expensive but quite decent, and are served on a lovely covered deck. This was certainly the best place we stayed In Ecuador.

This is a superb hotel.

I stayed at this hotel with two friends. The hotel was booked by our tour company, and we stayed an extra three days. The location is beautiful - you can view much of the Galapagos wildlife on the property and in the bay in front of the property. The room was large, very well appointed, comfortable, and impeccably clean. I cannot imagine why someone would rate this hotel below 5 stars. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable and to resolve any travel issues you may have.

Great place. Problems door locks do not work properly. Food is the worst part.2 stars on the food and 2 stars is a generous rating.

Everything in galapagos is overpriced so be prepared to spend a lot at any reasonably nice hotel. I stayed in the gecko room which was fairly small but clean and functionable. The staff was nice and helpful for the most part. The hotel restaurant food is good but very expensive- it's better to find more reasonably priced options in town. Overall I enjoyed my stay.
