The room barely had any furniture. I have photos. such a waste of space. I could not even have guests come over with only one chair and one sofa.
For $400 a night I would expect a much more upgraded room. We had to call for sheets on the sofa bed, even after we had room service. The hotel staff took the sheets and did not andonethdidngive us new ones.

The staff were very friendly but the restaurant was closed on Sundays which we were not made aware of before. The facilities are clean and comfortable though a bit dated. Really nice indoor heated pool and kids play area. Mosquito coverings on window not well sealed and the mosquitos were vicious…even in the spring.

Una gran desilusión. Muy abandonado!

Pasamos bien porque Punta del Este no defrauda nunca, cualquiera sea la estación. He estado muchas veces en el Hotel Barradas que está muy bien ubicado para el disfrute sin el bullicio del centro o La Barra y con piscinas y jardines muy hermosos. No había vuelto desde antes de la pandemia, aunque estuve en otros similares en estos últimos años y lo encontré muy venido a menos. Goteras que chorrean agua pors pared y están \"respuestas\" con una toalla en el piso, empapelados despegados o rotos, nulo mantenimiento. Una pena, porque el edificio supo capturar cierto encanto en los 90. Lamentablemente el personal sigue empeorando. No es mi profesional ni capacitado . Mucho menos amable. Tuve que pedir varias veces por un rollo de papel higiénico y estando casi vacíos solo me dieron 2 horas de \"late\" check out. Desayuno casi incomible. La piscina chica exterior estaba SIN climatizar y los baños de sectores comunes sucios y sin papel x varios dias. Por ese precio hay muchas opciones mejores a pocos pasos. Lo dicho. Una desilusión.

Hotel is a bit dated and needs renovations. There were clear signs of decay and cleanliness could definitely improve (dirty tub, cobwebs in corridors). This however doesn't take from the overall experience and most staff is friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is almost as good as it gets, just not as top notch as it was 7 years ago when I last stayed here.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to cancel our trip because of flight restrictions and mandatory quarantining rules in Uruguay. All hotels and flights for our 2-week trip were refunded except for this hotel. It is now more than 4 months later and we have not been able to get a refund for conditions that were out of our control. The hotel has been unresponsive and Expedia has done nothing to help the situation, choosing to distance themselves from the case by standing behind their policy that it is the hotels responsibility to issue the credit and they have made attempts to contact the hotel but they've been unresponsive. Expedia should step-up and do what's right for a loyal customer.

Nice hotel in a dull neighborhood.

This is a nice hotel if you want quiet or are with kids. It's clean, the rooms are spacious but old fashioned. If you want a bit more vibrant neighborhood then this is not the place. It's in a sort of residential area and a taxi or bus ride from restaurants and nightlife. Wi-fi is incredibly slow. There's no coffee/tea making in the room.

A place we'd definitely visit again...

This hotel has an excellent location in a calm area of Punta del Este, few blocks away from the beach and in a 5-minute drive from the peninsula and city center.

The staff is helpful and friendly.

The outdoor area is quite well-designed, pretty and relaxing, full of green. The environment aroud the outdoor pool next to the restaurant looks particularly beautiful to us. The breakfast was awesome, served in a spacious room, with plenty of pastries and fresh fruits to try.

It's a place we'd definitely visit again.

We stayed at this wonderful resort for 10 days and just returned. The hotel had nice rooms in a refrigerator and safe in each one. The staff was friendly, helpful and warm and did everything they could to assist you in our travels. The location was about 9 blocks from the ocean and had an indoor and outdoor pool and wonderful breakfast. They also had a bar and served other meals as well and they were nice too.

There is a gym, a child care service, massage room, and a sauna. The gym equipment is all new and in of high quality. In addition, there is parking underground with a secure gate. It is located in a nice neighborhood and it is secure to bike or run anywhere in the area. They also have bikes available so you can cruise around.

This hotel has the qualities of the things that we needed to relax.

Perfect and enjoyable stay

We enjoyed our stay at Barradas Park Hotel & Spa. Room was big and comfortable with a balcony and a big king-size bed. The hotel is conveniently located regarding the beach - just a few hundred meters away from River Plate beaches. It is however a bit further from restaurants but still doable on foot. Excellent breakfast! Staff was very helpful during the whole stay and even before when all necessary arrangements regarding birthday celebrations were made. Many thanks and well done!

My husband and I stayed here during the final part of our South American vacation. Barradas is a fair hotel, slightly overpriced but everything is in Punta del Este. We had to ask for a room change because they placed us on the main floor just around the corner from the lobby. There was no privacy, the room was outdated, and the bathroom floor was wet?! Our second room wasn't much better than the first but at least it was on the second floor. There were many families and kids so it kind of killed the romantic vibe while we strolled the nice grounds of the hotel. They are about a 15min walk from the city centre and about a 15 min drive to La Barra beach. We took many cabs in order to get to all of the places we wanted to go. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. A better option would be to stay on the peninsula or in La Barra simply for more action and accessibility.

Nice hotel located 300 meters from the Playa Mansa beach and 1.5 km from the marina. Two small swimming pools, nice relaxing backyard, lovely birds singing, greenery, yammy breakfast and friendly staff. We had a great time and would get back to that hotel.

Off-Season Visit

My girlfriend and I visited Punta Del Este for a few days as part of a bigger trip to Buenos Aires. We wanted a few days in the sun in a fun city. Punta Del Este itself is a beautiful and fun little town. We were there during the second week of November and it was clear that a lot of the town was truly not open yet as the high season was still another month away. We reviewed this hotel on the internet and were pleased with the pictures and pool. Unfortunately, during our stay, most of the rooms were under construction. The room we stayed in was small and not particularly nice or clean. In addition, it is really about a mile away from town (and the port and peninsula) and is also a few walking blocks away from the beach. If you are looking for a small hotel with nice staff in just an average location and average amenities, this place will work.

Everything was great. From the condition and cleanliness of the rooms. The quality service I received from their staff, it's location, etc. (Don't miss out the breakfast if included!) The showers are in good condition and fully functional, but I think they could use a renovation, but I have no complains and I would definitely will try to stay in this hotel again!

Pros:Hotel grounds are real nice..Gardens, & 2 pools. One warm, & the bigger one cold. Neighborhood is upscale & very safe. Big shopping center 6 blocks & beach about 3. Easy walk to downtown. Great breakfast!! Probably the best hotel choice in Punta for the price.
Cons: Beds very soft, (2 twins put together to make a queen) & small rooms. Downstairs rooms are in desperate need of update..

Cool hotel in a quiet neighborhood

Great hotel to chill in a quiet area of Punta del este. You will definitely need a car or taxi to to the cool places. The restaurants and pubs are not within a walking distance. Overall the hotel is great, very pleasant and the staff was very helpful.

It has a small pool but the setup is peaceful. At the time where I was there (nov. 2011) they were finishing a second black pool.

I would stay again there as long as I have my car.

Conheci o Barradas há muitos anos, tem uma infraestrutura maravilhosa, sempre foi lindo. Mas está muito mal cuidado! Já ao chegar vc enxerga as calçadas imundas na porta de entrada.

A recepção era nota 10, pessoas eficientes, pró-ativas, educadas, falavam inglês e português além do espanhol. O café da manhã nunca conheci outro igual, uma variedade de pães de todo tipo de grãos feito na hora, eram servidos quentes no buffet. Nunca vou esquecer!
Hoje o café da manhã não tem nada fresco, havia futa estragada no buffet; o pão dormido; apenas queijo prato; um monte de doces e gorduras e nada é gostoso. Não tem sequer um croissant fresco; a água na jarra estava suja, mostrei a única pessoa que estava servindo.

O corredor onde se localizava o nosso quarto estava sempre com o carro de limpeza no meio, despensa dos produtos de limpeza sempre com a porta aberta, mostrando a bagunça.

Teve um diz que o nosso quarto foi limpo e deixaram a janela aberta e minha camisola no chão. Nosso quarto era térreo. Reclamei e não recebi nem um pedido de desculpas.

A área da piscina coberta suja com garrafas de cerveja pelo chão.

Uma lástima ver o quanto decaiu este hotel, era maravilhoso.
Está todo descuidado, mal atendido, mal administrado.

I travel all over the world around 50 years.
I arrived at night at Montevideo. The driver from Cot was extremely rude.I took a taxi to this hotel. The security is the big problem her I think his name is Gonzalo. He never helped me . He seems in a very bad mood like he hates his job. No manners . No help . He took my American If and never returned my document.later I asked for a beer opener he never gave me one . He DONT CARE !!The place is not 5 stars I been in Las Vegas and France and London many times I know what a 5 stars is. The place is gorgeous. The green. The pool. The light. The jewelry for sale is beautiful.

That dude should be fire . Terrible servers ce.I took an Uber move my own bags myself and took off with sadness. The place is nice . The breakfast is better than the restaurant. The servers are working hard and helping. But I don’t think I will return to a hotel with this. Type of rudeness . Security ? The problem I never felt safe with this employee. Is terrible to work in that nice hotel and be rude with your customers .the tv wasn’t working i beer opener in the room.

Hotel muito confortável cheio de áreas de lazer piscinas jardins, hotel mais antigo mas muito elegante, moveis dos quartos são de madeira nobre. Café da manha completo e cheio de opções. Paramos o carro na rua pois é seguro e super tranquilo, eles cobram 10 dolares a diaria. Não gostei que não deixavam nem um bebedouro nas áreas comuns e a agua era 6 dolares no quarto.

Muy bien todo ,llegué a las 12.30 pm y ya me dejaron entrar,la habitación era junior suite ,con balcón a la calle,muy grande y equipada,con vsestidor un baño de mármol muy bueno,sillón escritorio cama extra king .silencioso,no se oye ningún ruido de cuartos vecinos ni de el pasillo,ni de la calle,ya que además de ser una zona tranquila,tienen doble vidrio las aberturas (insonorizadas).Fui a comer al restaurante de la piscina,espectacular la comida!el desayuno muy variado y bien servido.la verdad,ya había estado y me había gustado,pero esta vez lo conocí más y es mi preferido en punta del este

Muy buena la recepcion, atentos y cordiales en el trato en todos los servicios .
Ya habiamos estado otra vez y encontré que la picina no estaba muy limpia asi como la temperatura , estaba FRIA !!!una pena porque el lugar y las instalaciones son muy lindas . Es de destacar lo bueno del desayuno buffet!

El hotel tiene excelentes instalaciones y un parque muy hermoso donde se puede pasar muy bien.

Como aporte comento que el lugar para el desayuno por momentos puede hacerse un poco limitado y obliga ( como a nosotros que éramos dos)que te sugieran ocupar ciertos lugares para dejar otros libres para familias de 4 o más integrantes . Es el primer hotel en que lo veo.

Hotel situado numa vizinhança tranquila, quarto confortável e equipe gentil. O café da manhã deixa de desejar, poucos itens e de qualidade mediana. Cobrar pelo estacionamento interno 10 dólares injustificável.

Un lugar bellísmo para disfrutar de Punta del Este

Un muy buen hotel en una de las zonas tranquilas y más bellas de la península para descansar y disfrutar de sus instalaciones y jardines. Un poco venida a menos la habitación standard de planta baja: muy pequeña, baño con ducha y mesada minúsculas y mucho equipamiento anticuado y en mal funcionamiento. El desayuno ha bajado bastante en calidad desde mi última estadía. La opción de trasladarlo fuera del gran restaurante del edificio principal creo que es una decisión equivocada. Muy buena relación precio calidad, sobre todo en las instalaciones de picinas: la zona de spa es también estupenda!
Pero el lugar y su personal son encantadores en general. Sin duda volveré nuevamente para mi 7ta estadía!
