We were waking up at 7:30 am with a terrible noise coming from the AC, they took like an hour to come to the room and stayed in our room fixing the problem like 1 1/2 hrs. We got into the room at 5:00 am and we were trying to have a good rest that we couldn’t because the annoying noise. We complained with front desk and nothing was done.

O hotel está em boas condições gerais, mas os quartos, apesar de enormes e muito confortáveis, precisam de atualização, especialmente a tv.
Por outro lado, o cassino é excelente, o spa (piscinas aquecidas, sauna, banheiras de hidro, com café, chá e suco de laranja disponíveis) e o café da manhã também é ótimo. A vista do mar e do pier é lindíssima! Enfim: recomendo, contudo com as leves ressalvas que fiz.

I stayed in this hotel years ago. You can see the lack of maintenance everywhere. The pool area was awful. The pool is lacking hundreds of mosaics. There was only one person making omelettes with a line of 8-10 people every breakfast. The lobby is old and needs renovation. Punta del Este is a beautiful city with plenty of places to stay. Chose a different one. Forget ENJOY

We arrived at the hotel and spent 40 minutes to check in, something unpresentable and unprofessional.
There was only one employee at the ffront desk checking in and another 5 checking out.
According to the person who registered us, he gave as an excuse that there was a convention.
Obviously none of that matters to me because the hotel is not paid for by any convention, I pay for it.
All the people who wanted to register complained at the front desk.
In any case, an employee cannot waste 20 minutes or more with each person who must register.
Every year I visit this hotel and every time I see it more deteriorated, they are going to have to work hard to get it up.

The hotel rooms are very outdated, Old carpet and lots of humility in the room.. Bathtub dirty and old.. Breakfast was very disappointing... The only good part was the casino on premises and the beach across the street with chairs and umbrella service included.. The staff was also friendly but the hotel needs a overall makeover..

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience. We booked 3 standard rooms and all were in very poor condition, old, stained sheets, and bathroom in very poor condition. The rooms smelled like sewage and we ended up having to pay extra to upgrade because the hotel offered no remedy to the smell unless we paid to upgrade.
Even after upgrading, the showers flooded - I guess there are drainage issues in the hotel overall.

End of stay I asked the Front Desk Clerk if I can get the GM Biz Card, he stated that they didnt have a biz card understandable so I asked him to please give him the info, he stated that he didnt know who GM Was
Hotel was beyond deteriorated, and extremely dirty we were move 3 times!! During check in we wasted 1.5 hours there were even feces!!! In 1 of the rooms.

Went down for breakfast and servers were not polite what was even worst all the silverware was dirty and when I indicated that to servers they could care less. I let the Front Desk knoe as well no one care. Called in the am to ask if the pool was open as I didnt see any lounge chairs set up they stated it was opened however I have to set up my chair. My response was Is a 5 star I have to set up my own chairs?! There were no towels at pool either and lots of more things happened. I just cant see how this hotel is rated a 5 star ?!

My bathroom had a sewage problem and the smell was horrible and spread over all the room. I called reception and they sent a technician that explained me that they had back up problems. He put some chemical in the toilet and said that would fix de issue. 2 hours later the bad odor came back and K called to be moved to other room. They gave me a room that was not satisfactory because didn’t have a desk. They said that the hotel was fully booked and even in the event that other room with desk was available I would have to pay extra. Definitely they have no clue about customer service

Hotel accomodations were great. Location is great. The concierge could have been a bit better and inform us about the events going on when we checked in. Also, later on we asked other concierges about activities/events and they were not well informed. Drinks are very expensive at the beach club but it has great ambiance.

The hotel is very good, big casino, great swimming pool, several restaurants. Located in front of a beach and very close to all restaurants and bars. Rooms are good but seem quite dated. Had a problem in check in because no King Size beds were available so I ended sleeping in a different bed with my wife. Overall is a good option to stay in Punta del Este
