The hotel was in a good location near the marina. There were pleasant walks nearby around the peninsula.
The reception staff were pleasant and helpful.
The breakfast was comparable to other hotels we stayed in and offered everything we needed for a 'continental' style breakfast. Breakfast was available from 8 until 12 which was really valuable to us and other people involved in a yacht race as boats were coming in at various times.
The pool was nice and the surrounding area was clean.
The bed was a good size and comfortable with nice quality bedding.

We booked a triple room as my husband was bringing off a lot of clothing/equipment from the yacht but if 3 people were staying in the room I think it would be a bit cramped.
Tea and coffee were available at breakfast and in the afternoon in a communal area next to reception but it would have been really welcome to have had some facilities for making hot drinks in the room.
The cleanliness in the room was good but the communal areas such as the stairwells often needed cleaning as there was mess on the carpets that should have been cleaned up. This was the case for the entire 9 days of my stay.
The biggest issue was the lack of soundproofing between rooms. One evening there were 3 ladies who were very noisy in the room opposite and it sounded as it they were in my room. On another occasion I was kept awake by someone snoring in a room nearby.
One night workmen were drilling and banging until 10 at night.
I would stay again.

Was a nice hotel, room was a little small but doable for what and where it is. Housekeeping is very good. There was a foul smell from the drain in the bathroom, but they fixed it after being notified. On our second to last day, the window shade failed. Was not able to lower it. Staff came to manually lower it, and of course it was not able to be lifted the next day. But all staff are very nice and responsive. Good hotel for the area, location was great to the harbor and yacht club where we needed to be a lot.

Very good mid-market little hotel. The surroundings are stunning. Staff was wonderful, breakfast delicious. However, I stayed one night in a timy ground floor suite, I asked for a switch and I was moved to a second floor suite, which was more spacious and comfy, but with two windows facing a brick wall. Im sorry, but you cant sell suites in Punta del Este facing a brick wall.

The Atlantico reminded me of a typical beach motel in Florida, but not on the beach. The staff were great but the room was small and cramped. It was reasonably convenient to restaurants and shops but there were other hotels nearby that were better situated.

This is a hidden gem. The hotel is a happy place for singles, couples and families. The rooms we had were adequate if nothing fancy but the pool was really nice. The hotel, with its quirky elevator, has good vibes and easy parking for your wheels when in Punta del Este.

Upon arrival we immediately reloaded that the upfront payment on booking was done for a reason. After entering what is more of a motel than hotel, we visited a literal back yar surrounded by hedges and a small pool. We were then told as our rooms weren’t ready we could change inthe tiny and gross pool toilets. At that point we left and took a cab in search of another hotel for our 3 day stay. Not surprisingly they’re was no refund of any kind so we found new accommodations and kept our keys for the 3 days

A great stay in Punta del Este.

I had a great stay at the Atlantico Boutique Hotel. It was a three day stay and I wanted to check out the area to see if a longer 'snowbird' flight would work here. While I was there it looked like they were adding some suites, which is something I would definitely be interested in for a long term stay. The location was quite good. I like to take long walks and I was not disappointed. The water was just a few minutes away in three different locations. Nice wide sidewalks to wander and great sunsets. Their pool was very good too.

When we arrived at The Atlantico hotel we asked to see the room because the neighborhood and the hotel were very rundown and we had concerns. When we went to see the room, it was dirty, lived out, the bathroom light didn’t work and the mirror was falling apart. There was a bug on the bed and there were stains everywhere. We went back down immediately and told the receptionist that we didn’t want to stay. He said too bad, there’s nothing I can do, you have stepped into the room and we will charge you for 3 nights. We asked for a manager and he said there wasn’t one but would call. We waited 29 mins and no help. We told him again that the pictures did not at all reflect the conditions of the hotel. He said he couldn’t help. We asked why he would charge for 3 nights. He again said that's policy and because you stepped in the room. We were in the room for 10 mins looking only. We decided to leave and find a new hotel as it was getting late fast.

This is a nice little hotel outside the main hub-bub of Punta del Este. The staff are all SUPER friendly and were very accommodating for me and my family. The main beaches are a bit out of the way, but otherwise we had a very nice stay.

The hotel is old but well maintained. The room we had was small but had a gorgeous view in two directions. The breakfast each day was a great start to the day. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They are happy to practice their English language skills with U.S. tourists like us.

This is an older part of Punta del Este, away from the high rise condo towers with more single family homes and small apartments. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel there are a couple sketchy, grafitti covered buildings, but overall the area is quite well kept and safe. Many restaurants and bars are easily walkable from the hotel.

Atlantico Hotel is set back a couple of blocks from the Marina/port but all the better for it (don't confuse it with the upstart waterfront restaurant of the same name). Being back means you are very close to many restaurants and bars but not stuck with the noise. Close to all the sights on the peninsula and walkable into wider Punta del Este.
The hotel is clean and stylish, the pool area is quiet and pretty. There isn't a restaurant but staff are helpful and happy for you to bring some things from outside with you.
The reception team also provide a really comprehensive guide to restaurants and sights in the area, which is appreciated. The effort shows.
Note that car parking is limited and a bit of a squeeze but it is usually possible to find somewhere to park on the street nearby.
Only docked a point overall because our room occasionally had a slight chemical smell to it but this aired out fine.
Overall, definitely recommended and one of our best stays in Uruguay!

This is a boutique hotel and for the price it was a nice surprise (Punta del Este tends to be overpriced). You should not expect luxury, but I found a nice room with partial ocean view and a comfy bed, good breakfast and a fantastic secluded patio with a pool and a tikki bar. It is very close to the port and the main street of Punta so it's very convenient for shopping and dinning. You can't walk to the beach but you are just a short uber away to both the brava and the mansa beaches. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

Absolutely perfect location at the tip of Punta, 3 minutes walk to the marina where one can see plenty of sea lions, 1 minute walk to the lighthouse, Atlantic on both sides, plenty of very good restaurants. Simple but very clean hotel with good breakfast. We had a delightful stay.

I had a great experience at the Atlántico Boutique Hotel, so much so that I extended my visit. My check in was flawless. I was warmly greeted by Marcos who spoke excellent English and promptly and professionally checked me in. He also provided me with a thorough briefing on the hotel and the area. The hotel is spotless and located in a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood in the peninsula but it still close to all the services you need as well as some fine restaurants. I also received great service and information from Franco L., another team member who spoke perfect English and was a treasure trove of information. All front desk team members were great but those two stood out. The wifi signal was strong, breakfast was typical continental fare which included scrambled eggs. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will return to this little gem on the peninsula.

Beware! They oversold the rooms and did not honor the reservation. They offered rebooking at another hotel but it was not of the same class and quality. The place looks nice and the manager was kind and apologetic but still still was a terrible experience arriving at a hotel (after 12 hours traveling) and not having a place to stay in middle of the high season (even though the reservation had been confirmed and already paid for thru expedia).
