The pool and restaurant area are lovely. Padded loungers were really nice. The room we got was very tiny and a little worn (sheets with small tears etc.) but clean. Felt the price was a bit high for the basic accommodation we got but staff were nice and the location is good.

The property is in a desired location that is close to the beach and the main road with shops and restaurants. Staff are great and breakfast is wonderful! There is parking available and evening events if you choose.

The Palms At Coco Beach is a reasonably priced property that offers a number of benefits. Two minute walk to the beach, nice outdoor restaurant and pool area. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean, but basic... more than sufficient for those who are outdoors and on the move all day. Bed was comfortable and clean.

The pool area was pretty, the front desk clerks were helpful, linens were fresh and clean, and the AC worked. There was a sink, microwave, mini fridge, and a few dishes, cups, and silverware, which were much appreciated. But that’s the only positive things I can say about the property. I booked a quad room (4 double beds); there was a front room and a back room with a bathroom. The only windows (only in the front room) opened up to the hallway, so we had to keep the drapes closed or have people walking by look in on us. The back room had no windows which made everything dark and depressing and the overhead lights were cold LEDs which made it feel like a hospital. Many of the few outlets in the room were old and 1/2 broken — anything plugged in kept falling out and the only way to keep a connection was to push a suitcase up against it to keep it plugged in. There was black mold in the grout in the shower, and absolutely no warm water (let alone hot water) even with it turned all the way up. There’s a sign in the bathroom requesting toilet paper not to be flushed (that’s fine; I’m used to those scenarios) but the only garbage can in the toilet room didn’t have a lid; it was just a basket lined with a plastic bag — I’m fine not flushing toilet paper, but I don’t want to look at (or smell) the used toilet paper! Eww! The beds also had no headboards, just a mattress shoved up against the wall, making it feel more like a hostel. At $200+/night it was simply not a good value.

This was my second stay at The Palms. The cozy hotel offers clean rooms, nightly entertainment and good food. You’re only steps from the beach or the pool. Whatever you decide. The staff is fantastic and welcoming as well. I can’t wait to come back next year! Pura Vida!

The room was not as pictured on the website. It was on the ground floor, next to the staff utility room and restaurant. It was noisy at night and early in the morning. Meanwhile, my fellow travellers who booked and checked in at the same time were given a larger room in the main building. I asked several times for a room change to no avail. On the plus side it was clean, the food was good and the staff polite.

Upon check staff really welcoming and room ready! When we open our door to the room we were stunned at the small size of the room. We couldn’t open our two suitcases in the limited space. Note to guests booking. If room size not indicated chances are it’s small. Our room needs TLC. A lot of money we paid for the room so no value at all.

Our room was tiny- like no dresser and my husband’s side of the bed was against the wall so no night table and he had to climb into the bed. We also had no hot water. However, the place is clean, it’s in a great location, the staff is great, the pool is very nice, it includes an adequate breakfast, and the restaurant has very good food. There is entertainment every night and Saturday morning at the restaurant/bar which could be annoying when you don’t like the style or wanted to go to bed early because we could hear it in our room. We did really enjoy Latin dance lessons on Friday night. The teacher they had was excellent and inclusive of beginners.

The Palms is a lovely hotel with a wonderful location a block from the beach. The staff is very accommodating, but this property may not suit all American tourists. The rooms are very small in general and the hot water doesn’t really work. If your room is on the second floor, you will have to walk up a flight of stairs.

There is a breezeway hallway that trandmits the noise from the restaurant/pool area that was VERY loud at night when events were taking place there. Made it hard to sleep. Staff were awesome. The hotel lobby and pool area were very nice and looked very clean and in good condition. However we were shocked when we got our room. The rooms had no windows to the outside. It looked like it had been stripped of everything - the kitchen had everything removed (looked like it used to have stove, dishwasher and cupboards) and only had a small fridge and microwave with a few cups and silverware, and two bowls. No plates, knives or any way to wash the dishes. No lamps on the bedside tables. The sheets, towels and pillows were very dingy, thin and yellowed. Electrical switches were hanging out of the wall. And to top it off, we found two cockroaches in the room - one crawling across the bed so we checked out a day early. They also played music very loudly in the restaurant till almost 10:00 so we couldn’t get baby to sleep.

The room was spacious and clean (some bugs are to be expected). The bedsheets and towels are a bit old. The main problem was the noise from people opening and closing doors, cabinets, walking and talking in the hallway not only by guest but by the hotel staff.

Enjoyed our one night stay so much the day we landed that I booked two more nights at the end of our trip. Very convenient to LIR airport if you arrive in the evening and want to drive somewhere close with good roads. Service was great and free breakfast was a nice touch! Best pool tables in town.

Eager to help. Anticipating customer needs. You were missing an opportunity if you don't book your stay at the Palms at La Playa Coco. It also includes cooked fresh free breakfast. On-site restaurant is above average and one of the top choices in town. Beds were comfortable.

Unfortunately, we stayed there on a Thursday night which was open mic night. I wish this had been disclosed in the booking. We were tired from our flight and the music was ridiculously loud. There were about 10 people at the bar and they had the amps maxed. Our room was vibrating until 10 pm. So unpleasant. And the staff did not seem to care or offer any help. The rooms are also very bare bones and dirty. Even the walls were notably dirty. And no hot water in the shower.

Great hotel in coco. The room was clean and well stocked. They have a convenience store in the lobby to buy anything you need. On site is a restaurant and bar. The pool is amazing and clean. You can literally stay at the resort and cover all the bases. Parking is just outside the facility and is free. A short walk (<2 mins) from the hotel you are in the main city for bars and fun, also the beach. The staff here is multilingual and very friendly. I highly recommend staying here. I know I’ll be back

There is a poolside restaurant (fairly priced and the food except the sushi was good) and they had different activities like bingo, trivia games, open mike and live music in the evenings, which was a nice touch when we got in from our other activities and outings for the day or didn't want to venture out as it was so hot!

Their promotional photo shows a beach scene and adversities “only steps from the beach.” Our room was not on the beach, not steps away. We were about a block from the beach and had to cross a street to get to it. Our room was small, crowded and on a busy, noisy street - only about 4’ from the window to street. The doors to rooms had skull and crossbones carved into them. We checked out after one night (got in too late to look for another room). The staff were polite but that is the only good thing. Room was prison cell like, shower didn't work, lights falling off the walls, bed pushed against the wall as room so small. TV couldn't be seen from bed, windows didn't open, door security bad, loud from within the hotel and the street, would not recommend at all. Drive further out of Coco Beach to get better hotels.
