Great location by the cathedral. A three minute walk to shopping and dining. Twelve minutes to the train station on foot. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever had in Europe. Very firm with a thick pad for comfort. I interacted with two members of the staff. Sofia at the front desk offered me a recommendation for dinner. Each time I saw her she would ask how my day went. She would ask where I was planning on having dinner, and when I returned she would follow up. Likewise Svetlana from the housekeeping staff was equally welcoming. I needed a different tea one morning and she immediately rushed to her cart to find a couple. Unfailingly when I passed her she would greet me and wish me a good day. Those experiences elevated my customer experience.

Comfortable, spacious, and welcoming. Close to the cathedral and walkable from both the train station and to the centre of town. Of note, the service at the front desk was exceptional. Friendly and helpful (even with the odd request of helping fix a gift bag that had come unstuck, helping with access to the room slightly early, and in knowledgeable advice and recommendations for the area. The cafe opposite is also recommended by a friend who lives near Amiens, and the florist along the road into town is also to be highly recommended.

They have an amazing chef! He made very inventive fresh delicious dishes. The server presented them beautifully. I was very impressed with this hotel restaurant!

We enjoyed our room facing the cathedral. We could have watched the nightly illumination from the room but would not have seen the base and doors.

The room was small but comfortable and the shower was great.

Recommended!

The hotel had an odd odor when you entered. No idea what it was.
It can be noisy at night outside.

The hotel is good, and has an impressive view of the cathedral. The downtown area has many restaurants, bookstores, etc. however the area attracts some seedy street people at night. It did not feel safe to walk alone after 8pm. Restaurant is fine for dinner, and the breakfast buffet was excellent.

Great location with a great view of the cathedral. Excellent staff who were really friendly and helpful.
Nespresso coffee machine and complimentary soft drinks in the room.
Great selection for breakfast from cooked to continental.
Just what we needed after camping watching the Tour de France.
No on sight parking but you can use the spaces in the neighbouring streets which although state time restrictions, you can use the app and overpay which I did for 2 days parking.

Beautiful hotel across from the cathedral or Basilica as it’s sometime cold. Parking very close. Some shopping. We were too late for dinner which they stop serving and restaurants at 9:30. That sound a restaurant recommended by the pizzeria that stays open till I think 1 AM. It was decorated so cool, and the food was wonderful, it’s behind the cathedral on one of the side streets. I think the name was speakeasy, not positive on that.

My recent stay (Feb 23) was for 7 night, 5 of which all of us had NO HOT WATER.....reception didnt want to know, no manager in sight to offer support, loads of people were complaining, had to have freezing showers in the morning - I left a day early as I couldnt take it any longer........very very poor customer service, total lack of support

Anyone fancy a cold shower every day!!

Having stayed at hotels all over the world, this is the first time I have stayed in a highly rated hotel where there is no hot water provided to the room. Three days into a 4 day stay and they still cannot provide hot water. Not great having a cold shower in winter time!! The hotel does not seem to be doing anything to resolve the issue despite them saying day after day that it has been sorted out. I am not isolated in this issue as all 6 collegaues booked into the hotel have the same problem.

The hotel is bright, welcoming,, nice breakfast, very close to the cathedral. The restaurant evening menu is fine, perhaps a bit limited.

We had a lovely room with a cathedral view It looked to have been recently renovated and was spacious, with a small fridge and safe

What was a little disappointing was the bathroom It was very small indded. Climbing in and out of the shower was a bit of a challenge The sink was large but the plug didn't stay in, whereas the plug in the bath had to be picked out with your fingernails!!! The built-in hairdryer didnt work, but the hotel lent us one. These are small issues, which we reported, and I'm sure they would be sorted out.

We were surprised to see paper cups in the room for making drinks but we felt that this was an eco move, however for a four star hotel, a bit unexpected..

We would stay again

Cleanliness was not at all at the expected level. Very disappointing. Several spots were dirty and the tilet handle was full of traces (this during COVID time!).

The room was at the very end of the hotel, and appeared to be \"a bit lost\". It this because the reservation was done over hotel.com and not directly?

There werent any tea making facilities and when I asked , I was told that they no longer supply due to Covid 19 regulations. I do not see why this is not possible. When travelling I look forward to a hot drink and some quiet relaxation in my room. No shampoo either.

Very good location close by the cathedral and with plenty of restaurants in the area. Parking was via a public pay parking station within 200 metres walk - convenient and secure. Rooms were of a good size, clean and well presented. Also a good bathroom set-up with separate toilet. An excellent breakfast room with plenty of choices. This is a really nice, hotel with modern rooms and amenities. Great location, near central square by the beautiful canal and busy restaurant area. But nit so close that its noisy or too busy. excellent location with good and inexpensive parking facilities close by. Amiens has a pedestrian friendly historic center. Still a lot of roadworks and changes in traffic flows being created (confuses the navigation system). Great shopping and restaurants. This summer daily late evening spectacular light show at the cathedral.

Lovely hotel, had room at front looking out on to cathedral. Parking across road but as car park lift wasn’t working we had to carry our cases up several flights of stairs. Breakfast wasn’t included in our tariff and we didn’t pay extra as it was quite expensive (16 euros each).

This could have been a good review except that though I paid for the two rooms in advance and no charges were made at checkout the next day Mercure debited my credit card for both rooms. Mercure told me to take it up with Hotels.com and despite emailing Hotels.com twice I have had no reply from them!!

Great Hotel in a Tiny town!

I got the Suite with a terrace that overlooked the cathedral and it was definitely worth the upgrade. the view was great, but the privacy and extra space was excellent. Room service was very prompt and the hotel staff were very gracious. I had an issue with our rental car and the hostess came out to assist! They also lent my travel guest and I a phone charger which was a nice touch. This is walkable to the shops by the canal and down town Amiens. It is steps from the cathedral and if you are a smoker, the private terrace cannot be beat!

The hotel is in a great location near to the cathedral in Amiens; about a 5 minute walk from the Quartier Leu and 5 minutes in the other direction to the shopping district. The staff were great and the breakfast was nice, but it's certainly a basic hotel without bells and whistles.
Be sure to bring your own toiletries and water as they only provide one small bottle of water and shampoo in the bathroom.

Central for everything...

Have stayed here before and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We came this time with our daughter and granddaughter for the Christmas market. We ate at Le Quai restaurant in the old town which I would definitely recommend, it is always busy so best to book beforehand. We also ate on the 2nd night at Le Bistouille further down from Le Quai which seen more relaxed and was excellent.

Attempt at style leaves on wondering about the cold reception, choice of décor and canteen like restaurant.
Our suite was drear with poor lighting and limited decoration and the shower was at the expense of a distant WC.
Minor defects - light bulb & CH were dealt with promptly but they and the leaking bath shower should not have been there.
The towels were not up to standard.
However, the bed linen and the TV were excellent and the location just right. (it would have been nice to have \"an arrangement\" over parking)

Pleasant hotel, in the immediate proximity of Amiens Notre Dame Cathedral. The hotel is situated in an idelal central location within a very short walking distance from all the amenities such as the Christmas Market, multi storey car park and shops/restaurants.

The hotel is comfortable, ideal for families, the staff were very polite, smooth check-in and check-out process. Would definitely recccomend.

Super room overlooking cathedral. Very clean and large. Breakfast very good. Most central position for Amiens compared to alternatives yet quiet. Close carpark locked at night with lift. Cathedral lovely and town not too big. Must do- a trip on Hortillages ( or something like that!) boat trip on little waterways around Amiens. There are 60 km but you only go on three but lovely and peaceful on an electric boat with a guide/driver and 12 people- 6€.

Great hotel! This is the second time we have stayed at Mecure Amiens Cathedrale and both times have been very pleasant!
The front of house staff are friendly and helpful. The room was big, spacious and had everything we needed. The quality of this Mecure is wonderful. We've stayed at others and this is definitely one of the better ones.
Close to cafes, restaurants, shopping, cathedrale and the Quai area.

Wonderful town centre hotel.....

On arrival Antoine on reception was very friendly, professional and helpful with local information and car parking instructions. We stayed in room 316 which overlooked the cathedral but was a bit noisy at night if you wanted window open as it was warm. Air conditioning didn't seem to work but we didn't report it, I am sure they would've sorted it if we had. Bathroom a bit small with separate toilet. Breakfast was very good. We didn't eat at night in the hotel, we ate at Le Quai in the old town and it was excellent, you will need to book in advance as it was very busy (we booked at lunch time when we came across it). Cathedral spectacular and old town also a must see. The boat trip around the floating gardens was pleasant too. Overall a lovely visit to Amiens.
