Had to wait at reception for staff to appear! Rang bell 3 times. Knocked on door marked private. Called out. Phoned property, rang in front of me - no one answered. Sent message. Finally someone arrived from one of the hallways but passed us and went into breakfast room with out saying anything. Then came back out to check us in. No apologies. Also we paid for breakfast but next morning my husband was very sick, had been up all night vomiting, so I had breakfast alone and did not get refunded for my husbands breakfast!

I wouldn't return even for an overnight stop

We usually stay in this type of hotel as an overnight stop when on holiday, from the outside this seemed ok.

Check-in was fine but the corridor lights didn't all work and the carpet very thin in places.

The room itself was very small, it was tired and in need of a renovation.

Pillows were absolutely terrible with lumps and bumps but no support.

During the night it was like a sauna with no AC whilst the whole hotel was very noisy, which basically meant hardly any sleep

Pros: Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean; Parking lot was enclosed in a gate that shut from 11pm to 7am (access only with a code), and staff were nice
Cons: The room smelled STRONGLY of cigarettes, even opening the window could not get rid of the smell. The bathroom was clean but not very nice, and the hallways seemed dirty.

The property is in an industrial area. There is a shopping promenade not far away with a KFC and Buffalo Grill as well as a baker and butcher. There is a petrol station not far from the property. It is a 10 minute drive to the centre of Amiens. Breakfast is 12€ per person per day but to use the coffee machine outside breakfast hours is 1€. The water pressure is not the best.

Room was ok but no toilet soap, half a toilet roll, paper cups for hot drinks. Room very hot with no air con. Worst of all was bedroom door not lockable from inside so 2 year old kept opening door and running into the corridor so had to push one bed in front of the door to prevent her from opening it. Also my granddaughter was able to open first floor window fully as no restricted and if not seen in time could easily have fallen out.Told receptionist who said that being unable to secure the door from the inside didn’t matter as no one could enter bedroom without entry card. Didn’t accept the risks for children.

The location of the hotel was convenient for shops and restaurants but not ideal if you want quiet break. The hotel itself represents that you get what you pay for. Clean enough mostly but very basic. What ruined the stay was the rudeness of the majority of the staff - from the moment we arrived they made us feel completely unwelcome and that we were a nuisance for being there. They were clearly understaffed but that should never be transparent to paying guests. Our party was over 22 people which represented a considerable amount of money for this small hotel but not only was this obviously not appreciated but a simple request to either open the bar or allow us to bring our own drinks in was refused point blank. If there are licensing rules preventing this it should have been made clear either by the hotel or by booking.com at the point of booking. Would not recommend it under any circumstances.

Good location with a car

The price was good. The staff were friendly. The room was clean enough however on leaving and checking round we found some socks that didn’t belong to us under a table. The triple room layout was not ideal with the bathroom right next to one of the beds. The room did the job and the location was convenient for Amiens. The breakfast was ok but I would probably just go to the boulangerie on the other side of the roundabout which we did on our second morning.

North Amiens in commercial centre

A bit difficult to locate but amongst all the commercial buildings....Carrefour, Hardware depots, etc.....near main ring road so best if you have a car. Check I was smooth and efficient. We had two rooms. Internet was irregular and kept going on and off. Weak signals...not good for business people. My shower and toilet was terrible...water saving devices meant poor flow of water......wasted so much water flushing and showering. Get rid of them. Check out was delayed.....very annoying....

Roughly 5.6km from centre of town sounds and looks a lot longer than it is. It took us about 40 min to walk only with suit case. The wifi isn’t the greatest make sure you got data to spend in the hotel. Other than that very good hotel breakfast, room and staff were great.

We stayed here 3 nights,,, first night at 3am,, i was woken up with really loud music from the next room,, my partner got up went to reception,, no one there,,so one of the other guests rang the hotel,, and a while later one of the staff came,, opened the door to the room,,, and no one was in there,, it was the tv alarm that had set the tv to come on,,, the next night same thing happened ,,but someone was in the room,, and turned it off,,,

Hotel is located on a commercial estate and was not easy to see from the road. We were disappointed to find the bar and restaurant closed on a Friday evening when there were very few alternatives locally - only a bar and restaurant in the local hypermarket complex.

Although wifi was advertised, no one in my party could access it.

Room was adequate and clean. No reception staff on duty to check out.

A disappointment.

Having booked a room three weeks before, it was very upsetting after a long day travelling by motorcycle to be told no room was available. The girl on reception phoned other hotels for us, but all were full. After an hour the manager appeared and showed us a booking request from Expedia dated the day before we arrived!! Who messed up Expedia or Kyriad? After pressure from us a room was found, with a dirty stained carpet that would not normally be accepted by anyone. In desperation and having taken a stressful hour and a half to get a bed we felt we were not in a position to complain. My worst hotel experience ever.

Dreadful dirty hotel with rude staff

Dreadful dirty place made worse by rude receptionist who insisted we had not paid for the hotel even when I showed her the confirmation that said all paid for so only way to get the room for the night was to pay for it again . Luckily hotels .com sorted it out for us on our return would rather sleep in the car than have to stay there again

A tale of two hotels. One a budget hotel with friendly staff and a reasonable restaurant. Our room was reasonable enough on first inspection but then the problems started. As the last room on the second floor (again no lift, this is France) the water did not run through hot. Quickly sorted a handyman came up and we had hot water. But then we realised the shower was broken and the plug didn't work in the sink. The shower got sorted by the handyman. Despite a lack of water pressure in the toilet and sink the shower worked really well once fixed. The toilet didn't flush properly and we were left without toilet paper by housekeeping! And finally, the leak in the corridor. It started out as a damp patch halfway along when we checked in. When we left the whole carpet sloshed for about 3 metres (our cases left tracks and we had to roll up our trousers to avoid the ends getting wet). But as I said, nice staff.

Visiting the Somme Centenary Commemoration so Kyrian only half hour away. Friendly hotel but walls very thin so noisy neighbours can disturb. Rooms need a makeover. No dinner over the weekend. Food OK but not not outstanding.

Find somewhere else!

We would never stay here again. The room was tiny - we had to squeeze through a small gap to get through to the bathroom. There were no bedside tables, the bedside lamps didn't work, the wardrobe door didn't close, the carpets were absolutely filthy (not just in the room - but throughout the whole hotel), the car park was so muddy and full of potholes. We couldn't walk around the room in bare foot as whew didn't know what all the stains were from! Disgusting, just don't stay here! And the staff were miserable and not welcoming.

Cheap overnight stop - no frills needed

We just needed a cheap and cheerful stopover for a night on the way back up to Calais after a long drive. Initial view was fairly unnerving as it looks like a pretty shabby US motel from the outside. It's in the middle of a commercial park so massive hypermarche very close by, which was handy as no restaurants unless you go into town. The staff were polite, pleasant and helpful. The place needed a lick of paint but the facilities were clean and decent, nice shower, tea/coffee/tv, etc. so no complaints at all.

Hotels.com advertises this hotel as having 24 hour check in. When we arrived the hotel gate was locked (had to hop the fence) and the reception was closed. Nobody answers the phone (we tried calling well earlier also). We ended up needing to find another hotel late at night. Still waiting for a response den hotels.com on our complaint (7 days ago).

Good location but more though cleaning please!

We stayed at Kyriad Amiens Nord for a few days and used it as a base to tour some WW1 sites in the area. It was in a good location for this as there was free parking and it was close to the main road leading in and out of Amiens. It is next to a large centre commercial which was good but there were no restaurants within walking distance except for the hotel restaurant which was closed on weekends. There was also a used plaster on the floor that we had to throw away (carefully) ourselves which was a bit unpleasant.

One of the worst hotels I have stayed in. Group booking for a charity cycle ride. Restaurant provided us with chicken and chips which weren't cooked properly and cold and then tried charging €10 for the privilege. Had reserved the rooms on my card and paid for mine on a different card. They then had the nerve to charge €75 to my other card and have since ignored all of my emails asking for an explanation. If you want to stay in a dated, run down hotel with rude staff then this is for you. I don't think anyone in our party (26 of us) have a good word for this hotel.

Reception very good. Perhaps we were given a rather seedy room because we arrived late and had a small dog with us but it was seedy, as was the corridor. The room was cold when we arrived and the carpet very badly stained. We never really got the room temperature up to a comfortable level. Bed was comfortable and breakfast excellent.

Thinking this hotel had a 24hour front desk I was surprised when the hotel rang me when I was on the train about to go into the channel tunnel telling me that they were closing the front desk and here were the codes to get into the hotel, fine we got on with it. When we got our keys, it seemed as though they hadn't told 5 guest they were going to do this and most of them had to sleep in their cars. The hotel was ripe for a refurb the wallpaper marked, the carpets looked very tired, and as an aside there was only one cup in the room, which made having a drink not great.

Go here if you want a cheap place to lay your head following a long drive from elsewhere; is an hour or so from Calais - very reasonable but when you arrive you will understand why. The bar never opened; there is nothing locally to eat or drink; you have to drive into Amiens centre (which is only 5 mins away), lot's of supermarkets etc in vicinity. The common parts of the hotel (especially the corridor) was poor and the red carpet is gross - rooms were better and reasonable facilities for the price. Wi-fi was decent speed.

Easy to find and very reasonable cost

I booked this hotel because it was easy to find, on the north of Amiens close to the motorway and was a cheap place to stop the night on the way back from Cognac. We wanted to visit the Somme battlefields on our way back to England and they were easily reached from the hotel. I knew we would be arriving late so wasn't bothered about eating in the restaurant, but in any case the restaurant was closed by the time we arrived at 9pm and we were told it would not be open for another 3 weeks due to holidays. The staff were very welcoming and the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was good, toiletries and coffee/tea were provided. There were only 2 bath towels although there were 3 of us, but I'm sure we could have got another if we'd asked. The breakfast was very good, I think worth 9 euros.There was no air con, but it wasn't too hot and there was a big window. The outer gate did close at 11pm, I'm not sure what would have happened if we'd arrived later than that. We didn't receive any instructions about what would happen in the event of a later arrival, but maybe there are instructions on the gate, I didn't check. Anyway, I would phone the hotel directly if you think you are going to be later than 11pm.

Hotel located immediately adjacent to roadways. Quaint outside appearance. Corridors seemed very -um- institutional with brown steel doors. Room small and rather unkempt. No dirt but carpet was worn and stained. Everything worked. One of those treacherous \"step-over\" tubs with shower. Breakfast was just adequate. Staff seemed to struggle with being cordial.

Hotel was cozy looking a little dated but comfortable can be a bit noisey, can occasionally hear other guests walking in the corridor and some bàthroom plumbing noise, a little disappointed arriving on a Sunday that there was no diner avaliblilty it appears Friday Saturday and Sunday they don't serve evening meals which especially as not much is open on a sunday was frustrating.Hotel conceigege was helpful and bi-lingual good hotel for an overnight stay a little out from the town driving is a must!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Contrary to the hotel description on Expedia, this hotel is not located in the \"city centre\" and is therefore not close to the cathedral or city centre attractions as described. It is a $15 Euro (average) taxi ride each way to the city centre. Maybe there is a bus, but the staff were so rude and unhelpful, we were never provided with any helpful information for our stay. The bed was uncomfortable, tea/coffee/milk was replenished in a very limited way each day. Being honest, we tried to get accommodation elsewhere for our third night in Amiens, but unfortunately we had to stay for the third night as nothing else was available.

Generally fine. A good location for travelling north or south through France. City centre of Amiens is very pleasant and easy to access by car. There also seemed to be buses going from the shopping centre near to the hotel so it would be possible to stay at the hotel using public transport (though less convenient). The room was comfortable and complimentary tea, coffee and water were provided which was welcome. The only problem in our room was that the curtain did not pull all the way across the window allowing light in early in the morning.

Hotel is pleasant enough, with room including the features you would expect for a short stay. Breakfast buffet was nice although for the price I would expect more options. What let the stay down was an empty condom wrapper that housekeeping obviously missed left in the bedside cabinet!

A very nice room, quite a good size. Had a bath, it was a little small, but was still good. We only stayed there as a stop over, but the rooms were clean. The food at the restaurant for dinner was nice, nothing fancy, but good value for money. Service was great, their English was excellent. It was located in a commercial area next to the French version of Bunnings. We were pretty tired so weren't very aware of the location in regards to the main square, but that was fine. We had a tour organised who dropped us off and picked us up, so we weren't really bothered.

We were disappointed overall. The hotel is way out of town (€14-15 for taxi to city centre). Accessible by bus but still a decent walk from bus stop, hotel staff not helpful with information in this regard at all. Hotel restaurant not open on weekends, staff not forthcoming about this until specifically asked. No other restaurants close by. There is a supermarket within walking distance but it's not open on a Sunday. Difficult for tourists if you don't want to be out late or eat dinner very early. Room was very small (they had crammed a third bed in).

Not worth the money.

No lift and no help getting heavy bags up the stairs. Dark hallway with old stained carpet. Room small, mattress and pillows very poor quality making sleeping difficult. Location is well out of town. No dining options nearby so you have to rely on the hotel restaurant.
Staff were not very helpful.
We had paid for two nights before departing on our holiday but opted to leave after one night.

Great hotel, pity about no meals

A much better standard than the Kyriad I stayed at in Beauvais a couple of weeks earler. Reception staff excellent, breakfast basic but certainly adequate, room absolutely fine, easy to find and leave the area. As with the other Kyriad, is it policy through little or no demandor what (?) but I was disappointed, again, that the restaurant was closed on the Saturday evening, which was a pity because there wasn't a great deal (food-wise) in the immediate vicinity.

Overnight Stay.

Fairly convenient for motorway, but most interesting surroundings, long to return to investigate further. The accommodation was adequate and reasonably quiet considering the popularity of the area. It was clean and well catered for providing tea/coffee in room. Were able to get a meal just a short walk away, but it had to be in shopping centre supermarket so we just caught it still open luckily. Couldn't face a further drive to find food!\" Lovely location.

Better than expected.....

The hotel had a bit of a slating in the reviews but we found it ok. It was clean and the staff were helpful. The back end of a commercial estate but cheaper than others in the area and good for a quick stopover.

Not a good place to stay unless you have hired a car. Room was clean, but VERY small. Hotel staff spoke very broken English and didn't exactly go out of their way with helping us with our questions. Would try to stay closer to Amiens itself in the future.

I booked this hotel as part of a charity cycle from Cardiff to Paris. I booked it due to its location and cheap price. The hotel was clean, very friendly and we were thrilled with such a bargain.

This is a convenient hotel, just off the Rocade which is not far from the main autoroute from Calais/Boulogne to Paris.
Breakfast is a superb buffet with a full range of offerings, bread, croissants etc, cereals, yoghurts cold meats and fresh fruit.
It is described as renovated and having stayed there on both legs of our trip to the South of France - some rooms are better than others. The room we stayed in on the 1st floor was cleaner than that on the ground floor, although both were acceptable.
My standard is judged on how clean the bathroom is. The room on the first floor to my surprise had NO black mould in the bath - hardly ever seen even in newish hotels. Sadly there was a little in the ground floor room.

Compared to others in the chain, this is a poor hotel. The restaurant and bar were closed throughout August, and the hotel is sited in the middle of a retail park with no restaurants close by - necessitating a trip into central Amiens just for a quick snack. The loo in our room was broken and we were not given enough towels. However, the concierge was friendly and helpful and did try to sort things out for us.
