Great location - close to the main square and Christmas market was just outside. The 2 bedroom apartment looked new and had 3 bathrooms which was a surprise. Only negatives were the small old (but working!) elevator and one of the bathrooms smelled bad. Also we had booked for 4 adults and 1 child but the sofa bed was not made up for us. Thankfully there were sheets and a towel available in the cupboard.

Good location. Clean apartment. It would have been better to know that it was remote check in prior to arrival. We expected to be greeted but needed to message to find pass key code to enter building and apartment. The one person lift from before WW2 was scary but it worked. Otherwise a nice apartment a very central part of the city. I would be happy to return.

Horrible customer service. I arrived and unfortunately for me had a sick baby with a 103 fever and 6 luggage pieces. We could not find our way to the property while making circles with a cab driver. Tried calling the property owner who did not respond until way later in the evening when we already had checked into hotel esplanade (beautiful property) because I had no option and couldn’t stand on the street waiting for the property owner to respond. When they finally did respond she did not seem to care whatsoever. Extremely rude!! Would not recommend to anyone.

This property does not abide by their own check-in procedure and left me stuck without my first night's accommodations! I booked 3 nights. 2 adults and a baby. I had to book across the street at New Dubrovnik for the first night when no one was there to meet me at Angel Main Square.

When I arrived at Zagreb, within correct check-in hours, and advised the hotel through Expedia's direct chat that I had arrived, per their instructions, there was never an acknowledgment or answer.

Why are you sending me check-in instructions through Expedia's chat function if you are not even reading answers?? This was not a great way to start my stay in Zagreb. It's the only means to communicate with you when you only have WiFi. I was also able to tether on a cell phone and called your numbers, but there was no response.

Luckily, I found the manager through WhatsApp once I got on WiFi again the next day, and we were allowed to use the hotel on Days 2-3. I have no complaints about the accommodations themselves.

The located was a block from one of the main squares. Several restaurants, coffee shopa and other shopping is everywhere. If you plan a a stop in Zagreb this is the place. The sounds of Christmas were everywhere and several Christmas Markets were basically right outside our door

Clean, well-furnished and perfect location one block from Ban Jelacic square. Very comfortable. Contactless check in was very efficient. Parking a little tricky - garage a few blocks away is very expensive. Dining and nightlife options are unlimited, but late night noise was an issue on the weekend. Maybe that's hard to avoid in such a central location. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We found the apartment excellent in every way. It was nspacious, clean, well located and also very modern and inviting. Finding the office was the most difficult part but the staff were very warm and helpful. Instructings such as the corner building, diagonally across from the. Hotel Debrovnik would be helpful.George

Not much to like besides the central location.

Dislikes include;
Overpriced, noisey, needs blackout curtains from street lights, carpet was filthy, no toiletries, no tea or coffee, old and ugly building, checkin was difficult to find and had to call to meet someone, room wasn’t ready and had to leave bags in unsecured room, aircon didn’t work, no English tv channels, washer but no dryer, generally uninviting room.

I stayed in another place on my return through Zagreb- it was less expensive and about 7 times larger. The information on Expedia was not accurate- it was a very small, uncomfortable room- no one was available to give us any information & when I tried to get help, no one really wanted to help. The condition was poor, of the room was poor- there was barely even any toilet paper!
It is very over priced . If it were a third of the price then it would be acceptable.

TheApt. location is unique. But the Administration location is few blocks away. To get the kees and to reach the Apt. address is a headache as we had to carry our luggages trying to find our address. The Manager refused to come to show us the direction pretending that he is alone.

We were so pleased with our stay at Angel Apartments. You could not beat the price matched with the space, furnishings and all other comforts of home. We actually booked our stay last minute after checking out of one of the more popular hotels in Zagreb. I will say, from the moment I contacted our host at Angel Apartments I felt incredibly welcomed. They even allowed us to tour the unit to make sure it was good for our baby daughter and my elderly mother. This space is great for families (if you don't mind some noise at night form the street crowd) and for those who like to travel with a kitchen/washer amenities.

Lovely apartment, clean and modern in the heart of the city centre. Perfect location for seeing all the main sites. The only downside was that the hotel neglected to inform us that the car park where they had reserved a space for us was inaccessible after 5pm due to the Christmas Market, which meant we wasted considerable time trying to find an alternative parking space (although in the end we found a space in a car park two minutes away from the one the hotel reserved for us which was cheaper).

This property is very tired. Many items are not being maintained. Even bulbs are not being replaced. This is a large property that, with effort could be nice. The standard of this property is poor. We booked based on the pictures shown on the site. These do not reflect the actual property as it is now in poor condition. The communal space leading ghis appartment is particularly poor. There is graffiti and it is unclean. Would not recommend.

The location of the office was different to the address on the website which was really frustrating, so we spent an hour looking for something that didn't exist. But once we were able to call them they were excellent, took us to the apartment - which was great and close by. The only issue was the initial meet up to get take to the apartment. Make sure you message or ring before getting there.

This penthouse is immaculate. We had a late check in and our host met us in the square and brought us directly to the property. The parking garage is about a 5 minute walk but extremely reasonable in price. It was clean, bright and spacious. Definitely will return.

Very spacious 3 bedroom apartment. Had booked a 2 bedroom but was upgraded to a 3 bedroom. Well appointed apartment, right in the centre of Zagreb. No direct access to the property with a vehicle, however the taxi drop off is only about 100 metres away. Had already stayed in a studio apartment a few days earlier. Would definitely recommend for either short term or longer stays.

The location was excellent, located close to major attractions all in walking distance. A little confusing finding the reception as it is located on the third floor of the building. There was a slight mix up with my reservation this was resolved very quickly.
The room was on the second floor, located over a fairly noisy restaurant however friends staying on the fourth floor had no problem. Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome location and great accommodation. Will definitely stay again. Be aware, check-in location differs from actual apartment, but is only separated by roughly 200 meters. Also, parking is at a local parking garage, again about 200-300 meters away. Ask reception ahead of time to provide address for parking. I paid just under 20 USD for a total of 3 days of parking.

Good location. Pictures do not accurately represent unit as the apartment was much more \"worn\" than shown in the pictures. Also, the parking is quite far. In our case, .4 miles from the apartment. However, if you stay in this area, I presume it will be the same situation regardless of where you stay as there is only one parking garage

The apartment is fantastic in that it's right in the center of town. I believe I didn't get the apt that I orginally paid for. I think the one I was suppose to get was nicer, but the one I did receive was closer to the center of town. My booking including parking, but I ended up having to pay for parking, but it's marginal, so not a big deal. The hot water failed on us, but luckily it was so hot outside that it didn't matter. Overall, the apartment is really nice, there is only one AC in one of the bedroom so we had to keep both bedrooms open for the AC to transverse to the other bedroom. For a night or two, it was situated right next to the Cathedral, the view is amazing. Communication was easy with the booking staff. Just remember that the checkin site is different than the apartment.

The staff at Angel Main Square were very helpful to us.
We had a lot of laundry that needs to be done due to a lot of traveling we had so far in Europe- although the aprtment we paid for did not have a washing machine,the staff help us do the laundry at the other apartment.

Would recommend to friends on future who are visiting Zagreb.

Great find in the heart of the city

Recently stayed in a two bedroom apartment on a trip with my parents. While the rooms are not exactly like the photos (they obviously have a very talented photographer who makes the apartment look bigger than they are) the apartment was clean and comfortable. The staff met us at the parkade and even helped to carry our bags and gave several recommendations on where to go and restaurants. The apartment was clean and well kept - with air conditioning that was very much appreciated as it was hot when we were there. The only issue we had was the parking - when booking amenities included FREE parking. This turned out not to be the case. While parking was not expensive, it was a disappointment that we ended up having to pay after free parking was listed in the booking.

Even with the parking hiccup our stay was lovely and we would consider staying there again if we ever returned to Zagreb.

The quality ends at the room. Down hill from there

Pay attention to the check in location is a few blocks from your actual room. No elevator so be prepared to walk up 4 flights of a spiral staircase after walking up the hill from the square. View was nice, room was clean. If you drive the parking location is about 1/2 mile from your room.

I know it was my mistake for leaving my watch when I checked out but it's unfortunate first that the cleaning person \"was unable to find it\", and then the owners were not willing to recheck the room for two days because it was already rented out and they didn't wish to so much as knock on the door to make a quick check.

Without exaggeration I stay in hotels in excess of 100 nights per year. While the view from the room and the room itself were acceptable, the service, inconvenience of having to walk so far around town hauling luggage lack of honesty by employees I cannot recommend this hotel.

Amazing Zagreb Experience

We had the most wonderful time at Angel Main Square. The Reception office was wonderful giving us good restaurant recommendations, helping us secure a taxi to the airport, and answering any questions we had. Neither of us speak Croatian, and they were unbelievably kind and helpful. The room was incredible, with a cool view over a little Winter Wonderland station selling mulled Wine and sausages. The location is unbelievable, just half a block from Ban Jelacic Square, and with tons of restaurants, cafes, shops, even a cute wine and cheese bar it was a wonderful trip. If we end up going back to Zagreb, we will only stay here.

Arrived late in evening & place is difficult to find. Once contacted staff were very helpful. Building is dirty & old however once in apartment it is great. Lift only goes part way so if you have luggage - beware. Apartment is vey clean & comfortable & a great location for old city & shopping, markets etc. Very quiet. Washing machine wasn't working! Staff did offer to take our washing though.

Not a hotel, but excellent location

This isn't a hotel. It's a separate apartment, much like Air B&B. This difference led to some confusion at the so-called check-in. The business sent us an email on the evening of our arrival, which was too late, so we wandered around the main square looking for the hotel. A guy at a coffee shop, at an address where the purported hotel was supposed to be, helped me out and called the proprietor. They showed up quickly and directed us to the parking garage nearby, where we parked our car as part of the the price of the room. The apartment was not ready for us. The third bed was not made, there were few towels, no soap, no coffee in room.

But, having said all this, once notified, the staff would appear and address our requests and questions quickly and friendly.

Now about the apartment. The common areas outside of it were dark and a bit dated. But the apartment itself was very modern, clean, and functional. The location was excellent, right off the main square and close to all of the sights, sounds, and wonderful smells of the the old town. That made all the difference, and we ended up having a great time. With a little better management, this property, although not a hotel, could be a really great place.

Great apartment-hotel right in the center

This is not a hotel in the traditional sense in that its an apartment thats been nicely furnished. Unlike most European hotels, the room was very large and facilities spotless. Everything is within walking distance and lots of bars and restaurants right outside the main door. It is about a 10m walk from the car park but the very friendly staff come get you and carry the luggage.

Okay for ZAG, don't use if only doing one night

Due to the difficult check in process I would not recommend using this apartment if you are parking a car and only using it for the one night. The staff made it as simple as possible, but to check-in you need to find a park on the street, then walk to the office and go up to level 3 in an old lift to get to their office. Then you drive for about 5 min to park your car and walk back through town for about 10min. The staff were fantastic during the process but it is not particularly simple.

I would note that I didn't see any fantastic looking accom avail in Zagreb (don't let that stop you visiting this really cool little city), so if not coming by car and you are staying more than one night i would definitely recommend this apartment - clean, new (interiors; exterior quite old) and all amenities in awesome location.

Muy bien, pero para el precio esperaba algo más. Por ejemplo, gel de baño y champú, alguna agua embotellada, café junto a la cafetera …… podría haber estado mejor !

Durant la nuit des gens ont essayé de renter dans l’appartement et lumière s’est allumé en pleine nuit !
On ne se sentait vraiment pas en sécurité malheureusement!!

Bien mais attention à la réservation

Bien placé au pied du centre ville, ce dernier est très agréable.
Attention en réservant, nous avions sélectionnés avec petit déjeuner compris sur le site et en fait pas de petit déjeuner... Du coup prévoir un coup supplémentaire...
