Stay away!!! Had to haul luggage to the very high 3 rd floor of the old building without lift!! NO information about it in the description at all. The room #4 was extremely small - no space even for our luggage to squeeze around the bed. Had to keep one suitcase in the bathroom. sheets were old and not clean. No check in - only access code via WhatsApp message. Tried to contact the host without success,

We loved the location, easily walkable to many places! the room was fairly clean, we just had one issue with the shower not draining properly. I messaged on our first night about the slow draining and I never heard anything for our entire stay regarding it. It got so bad where you’d open the shower door and water would pour out onto the bathroom floor. Really was not a fan of that and the fact no one got back to us was really upsetting.

nice spacious and clean room. The common area of the building can be better maintained including better lighting. The mini fridge was not working. This was important given that the property does not offer a breakfast, and we bought fridge items for breakfast. After a couple of days we had to throw everything away. Property is centrally located within walking distance to most attractions. There are good dining options in the area and also convenience stores.

This building is in the city centre of Zagreb, it’s very ideal. It is within a few minutes of the national theatre, many amazing dining options and cafes, Ban Jelačić Square etc. There is an AC in the room and it works really well so we were able to always be at a comfortable temperature. It was very clean, comfortable, and check in + out was very simple and easy. I would recommend this place and I will stay again.

We had slight hiccup while checking in, the code provided was wrong, call were not answered hence had to wait outside door for sometime. Our room had windows open to common space where other neighbours were smoking hence the room smelt of cigarettes even after the window were closed and AC was on. Property is in good location, walkable to major tourist attractions.

Service and wifi very disappointing

Accommodation is well located and a great price, but WiFi is non existent. I messaged the manager about it, and took hours and a follow up message after some hours, to reply that no one else had complained but they would check with provider, and wanted to know what time we were checking out….nothing more. Travelling with my daughters, had a total of 6 devices, nothing works, no issues anywhere else during our 3 weeks across Europe. Such a shame and lack of ability to fix issues, and no wifi, so would not be able to recommend and would not stay here had I known.

Ok but wouldn't stay again

Firstly, the location is close to everything and heard absolutely no noise. I didn't find the place very clean. Dust and muck in corners, clump of hair of floor, mould in bathroom. The shower door was broken and took forever to get any hot water. The bed was ok comfort wise, the pillows weren't great. I'm not usually one to write a negative review but need to be honest. The stairs going up at pitch black so I had to use a torch to see my way up!

Beds were really comfortable, although mattress was dirty on 2 of the 3 beds. All of the bed sheets and towels were clean though. Corridor on approach to the rooms weren’t lit well at all to the point it was dangerous. Hallways smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. The room had some really good facilities, such as a decent fridge, a twin induction hob and pans/utensils, large TV, Aircon (although wasn’t working in our room). Even had a safe and microwave in the room. We just wanted a cheap room in a good location, and it was perfect for us to explore Zagreb. You get what you pay for, but the beds were really comfortable and it’s in a great location. No noise at all during the nights, we all slept really well! Great if you want a really cheap weekend stop on the city

The room is a little run down. Scuff marks on the walls, stains on the towels and sheets, bed sheets that don't fit the beds properly (so they come off once in a while), bathroom door was bashed open so lock doesn't work, window does not close properly (but on 3rd floor so not a safety concern). The apartment was alright, the location is great.

Great location. Easy to walk to most places downtown. The building is located on a busy street, but, surprisingly, it wasn't too noisy. There isn't an elevator, so be ready to bring up suitcases two floors. The WiFi worked well for us. Overall, it was clean, and had everything we needed for a couple of nights.
My only suggestion is to check the refrigerator, as it wasn't working properly. Thanks!

all the towels were dirty and someone entered our room early in the morning, once the person realized they quickly ran out. I’m guessing he was in a different room but they all have the same key code, which feels unsafe. 1 hour before our checkout, the cleaning lady knocked on our door twice asking us to hurry up so she could start cleaning. I’m not sure what she cleans because it was not too clean to begin with, especially the towels! I will not be returning here :/.

This hotel is really centrally located. But be warned, you need to take your luggage up stairs to the hotel on the second storey, there are no lifts, so this hotel wouldn’t suit people with mobility issues. The room was basic and clean with comfortable beds. We didn’t see any staff and our only contact with the staff went unanswered which didn’t matter because it was in response to something they needed, not anything we needed. It’s not a 4 star hotel as advertised but more like 3 stars. The only negative is they need better lighting in the building stair case but that might be outside their control.

I have not rated this one poorly just because I have managed my expectations based on the reviews. I booked it anyway because it was one of the cheapest but still high rating. The hotel is indeed unresponsive - I even had to involve Hotels.com to reach out directly but to no avail. They really knock on your door to kick you out after check-out even before the 10:00 AM check-out time (which is already pretty early). For a 3 night stay, my room was never cleaned - the hotels reason is because it was a short stay - unacceptable. The room is good size though, its not new so there are a lot of wall scratches and the bathroom is dated. It is very central so expect to hear a lot of cars at night - I wasnt bothered by the 2 night clubs close to the hotel - you can barely hear the music to be fair.

The location of this hotel was pretty good - 8 minutes to the centre of Old Town and 8 minutes to the main train station. Parking is a bit of an issue, as is the case in most capital city hotels in Europe. The room itself was clean and modern with good amenities such a reasonable size bathroom and a little kitchenette. Check in was easy - just a PIN that lets you in the door. Overall, a reasonably priced place in a pretty good location.

The worst experience. When arriving to the property, the air conditioning was not working. After reaching out multiple times to the owner, they did not respond. When I reached out to Travelocity, they could not come into contact with the owner either. Needless to say, 90 degrees in Zagreb with no air conditioner, we left. Now Travelocity does not want to refund me any money and wants to give me a 25 dollar gift card. How insane. Do not stay here.

The apartment shower was very grimy, the pillows very small and the beds uncomfortable. The area was ok. The apartment was cheap and came with bonus pubic hair. Of the 20 different places we have stayed in while travelling Europe this was the least favourite. The stairs were awkward. It was close walking distance to the train station of lovely cafes of Zagreb.

Ok but I’m sure there are better in Zagreb.

The room was very comfortable and clean, and in a good location. However, it is not a conventional hotel. You are sent a code and don’t see anyone to check in. I only saw my entire stay of three nights the housekeeper when I checked out. Which brings me to my major complaint - I left the door hanger out requesting housekeeping and it was ignored. The shower head also fell off on my last morning there, and I could not get it back on.

Definitely a situation of getting what you pay for. This is a single room that felt like it was part of a hostel (there is one the floor below) and there is no front desk. The neighborhood has lots of graffiti, and there are adult clubs on both sides of the street (did not notice any noise or issues thankfully though). The stairs have minimal lighting but the self check in worked well (although codes on both sets of doors are the same and someone began to enter my room while I was in the shower (unsure if this was housekeeping or not). Once inside the room I was greeted by many mosquitos as the windows are all open at arrival despite the lack of screens. After closing things up, you begin to notice a sewage smell from the bathroom; if the bathroom door was kept shut it was tolerable. The obvious surfaces in the room are clean but there was a massive amount of dust/dirt under the bed. The bedding is not made for the size bed present, so it is laid on it in a way I've not seen before for a hotel. Overall the room felt small but the bed was of decent quality, the shower was clean and had hot water, the electric kettle worked well, and the room looks much newer than the century(s) old that it is; the neighborhood also felt ok despite appearances. If you're on a budget I'd consider it, otherwise I would probably pick another option.

Access was through pin code which was emailed. No one on site during our 2 night stay. Failed to respond to our requests for late check-out.
The entrance/reception area was scruffy and stank like an ash tray.
Street was run down and covered in graffiti (like modt of Zagreb), but didn't feel threatening.

No staff, so its hard to communicate with the \"host\" especially if they are not close to their phone or mesaging service. Safe batteries are melted. Sombody unlocked my door with the so called \"private\" code and only stopped because we were inside. You have to walk up 3 stories of dark stairs beacuse there is no lighting at night for some reason, its not good for elderly guests. Overall bad host and bad experience. The hotel is also in between 2 strip clubs so expect that type of stay.

I would not stay here again.

My stay here was terrible. Every towel had rust stains on them, as well as my blanket. Hand soap dispenser was empty. Hot water ran out very quickly. Sheets were ripped. I got mosquito bites all throughout the night. The entrance hallway smelled of smoke and pee. And on my last day: someone literally came into my room at 8am while I was sleeping. WITHOUT knocking! I couldn’t believe it. For $100/night I would never stay here again.

Good parts of the place: it was quiet. Location was convenient. Host replied to messages promptly.

Interior is abit modern BUT tv is not working, pillow is not confortable. Also, going to the apt is creepy. No lights, long stairs, unlocked main door. Passcode should be different from apt to the room for security purposes. And there should be double lock. I will not recommend this to anyone.

So many things. I probably made a mistake thinking we were getting apartment style and not just a room. Even so:
Kettle lid was broken and there was no way to fill it unless you filled glasses with water from the bathroom tap to gradually fill it, then put it on the floor close to a plug then boil water.
Shower took very long to produce hot water. Drains very slow.
Bathroom door rubbed on the floor and squeaked so disturbs everyone at night.
Bed sheets were of various sizes. Not standard. The 3rd bed seemed to be a day bed they brought in.
I asked for late check out. They said no. I had to leave at 10 and still housekeeping was knocking on our door at 9:28 am.
Entrance from the street was not locked and dark at night. All the lighting did not work.
2 long flights of stairs to get to the unit and we had lots of bags. No elevator.
We were anxious to leave. Only slept there and spent as much time out of it. I would not recommend or stay there ever again. It is an old building and you can see they tried to make the interior modern. Very disappointed.

Great location, 5 minutes walk from main city square (Trg Bana Jelacica). No parking place, however if coming by car, can stop across the street, convenient for drop-off. Recommend Petrinjska garage nearby. We've stayed for 2 nights - although stated in welcome message, no cleaning during the stay. Heathing is regulated centraly, it took some time for the apartment to warm up. Overall, rather good value for the money.

The room was really neat and clean but tiny. There was nowhere to even put a suitcase that it wouldn't be tripped over. The rooms are on the second floor with a spiral staircase to access. The lighting on the staircase turns on automatically but not when you first enter it and the lights don't stay on long enough. We found ourselves on a pitch black staircase.

Nice big bathroom with good size shower. Kettle provided but could only plug in by bed. No coffee pot or utensil to cut a pastry or cheese.
Comfortable.
My only complaint is that the key code did not work on my arrival so I had to wait in the hallway until the owner could arrive to reset it. Very awkward and I missed an evening out with friends because of that.

The location is very optimal, right in the downtown core. Walking distance from many attractions. There is paid street parking if you drive. The rooms are quite spacious but there is no one on staff so if you need restaurant/attraction advice or a special request (for example an iron) you'd have to WhatsApp Staff. The property owners were very accommodating, when another person was added to our itinerary they worked with us to find a solution. Really appreciate that.

Only drawback, besides no elevator (which is common in historic buildings), is the facilities weren't the cleanest. The facility looks newly renovated but if you looked closely you would find hairs in the bathroom or other signs that it wasn't closely cleaned. Additionally, the cleaning person woke us up early, yelling in Croatian that we had to check out an hour earlier than was originally stated. Other than that a very nice place to sleep while in Zagreb.

Awful. I have tried to contact the owners several times since my stay but they ignore my emails.
Hairs all over the shower and bathroom floor. Air con did not work. Woken at 6am, 7am and 8am by very rude persistent cleaning lady on my day of check out stating checkout was 10am even though on the room information back it said 11am! She did not knock just came in and woke me up, awful customer service.
This apartment is in a great location but all of the above let it down drastically and ruined my trip for me.

Nice apartment in great location

City Vibe was great! There’s no formal check-in process, but directions were clear on using the keypads and communication was good via WhatsApp.
Since the bus station is kind of far from city center, instead of walking I opted for a cheap Uber ride. Aside from that, all of the other sights in Zagreb are easily walkable from City Vibe. Additionally, there are numerous eating and drinking options close by.
The room itself was big & spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also clean. I suppose the lone negative I could find was that the water pressure and temperature in the shower were inconsistent.
Otherwise, I had a pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again if I return to Zagreb.

Great location for the heart of the city

First time in Zagreb.
great location. A 20 min walk from the bus station the airport bus drops you off at. A short walk in to the heart of the city centre from the rooms . Well placed for bars and restaurants.
Use a smart phone to get you there.The door to the apartment block could easily be missed ( we arrived in the dark ). also check your emails for the door code ( we didn't, but easy to phone the operator and get it ).On the second floor of a traditional apartment block. No lift .
It looks very recently refurbished or fitted out. right on a main road , but the double glazing cut out any possible noise.
Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space. a very nice bathroom.

Clean and quiet place to stay

The room was very clean and quiet. Comfortable and cozy. But it was a bit hard to find the location at first since we arent from croatia. There was no elevator but this is understandable because most of Zagreb’s buildings are old and dont have lifts. The info says the hotel is on the 2nd floor but it’s really on the 3rd. And it’s not like ‘hotel’ hotel. There’s no one at the front desk so you might get confused if you never experienced this. But the room and everything else was great.

My wife and I were staying in this apartment for two nights. The place is very close to the downtown, but this is the only positive thing about the apartment. Other \"features\": no elevator and no light (after 30 seconds) at the staircase. You must have a flashlight to go to the 3rd floor apartment at night. Also, the safe did not work, TV didn't show anything, wifi was down. True, wifi started to work the next day, but we needed it on the day before, especially that our cell phones were useless in Europe. I complained to the clean lady but nothing was fixed. Good thing we stayed only two nights.

What a great little place to stay at. Was extremely easy to find if you do your home work first in maps. You can catch the airport shuttle from airport for 30kuna a person one way which is about $6 Aussie then get off at bus depot and then catch the tram or walk if you desire. Walking takes about 20 mins and tram about 5-10mins. Buy your tram ticket from a booth first 4KN one way. When you get off at stop nearest to apartment not far to walk, about 5mins. The hotel has the name outside and you will have to walk up two flights of stairs, no lifts. But it’s not too strenuous. When at top turn left and enter another door. The hotel sends you an email prior which has a code for you to put into that entry door and then use same one for your bedroom door and they will inform you which room number you will be assigned as well. The hotel room was extremely clean, modern, new. Jug, safe, wifi which was good, small fridge and toiletries. Maintained daily by the most lovely lady who is there daily and I didn’t get her name but want to say a fantastic staff member of their team, obliging, friendly and helpful. Room was spacious for European hotel rooms and the price was great. The hotel is walking distance to everywhere and sights of old town. Would be difficult to park if you had a car, as streets busy. Would return definitely.

Don’t be put off by the buildings entrance. I stayed at room 6 for 4 persons. The room is indeed lovely, big, clean, newly decorated and well catered.
I had the pleasure to meet Filip who manages the property and he was very welcoming and happy to share some tips about Croatia.
The only one reservation is the fact that the room is on the second floor and there is no lift, so not suitable for guests with walking disabilities.

Would definitely stay here again. Clean, spacious, central location, friendly, helpful staff, strong wi-fi, good A/C (a rarity in European hotels), etc., etc. I can't speak for the parking situation, since I didn't have a car during my stay. (And you shouldn't need to have one either, as it's so centrally located.)

Nice big room, great location, clean. The only downside here is the lack of a lift, but as it was our second time here it was not a surprise this time!

Perfect experience. Wonderfully located in the middle of Zagreb, easy walking distance from most everything. Modern rooms are extremely comfortable with very nice amenities, full bathroom, air conditioning. Completely safe establishment and area. Marija and staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. Outstanding value. Very highly recommended!

Great for city centre.

Excellent room only a short walk to the city centre. Nice welcome from the staff there. Room very clean, on 2nd floor, overlooking the main road , no noise though.
The only problem was getting luggage up to the room, 60 stairs from building entrance to the Vibe entrance, not easy with a 23kg bag. Other than that I really recommend the Vibe for a short city centre stay.
Rooms have hair drier, air con , a kettle & free wifi.

Hotel is very centrally located. However there is no stairs and it's two floors up so if you have issues with stairs this may not be the place for you. Staff was VERY helpful with all questions. Room was very clean. Easy to get to the main attractions in the city, all mostly within walking distance.

Loved it. Modern, clean, extremely quiet. Right next to the old town and a park, very convenient location. Pin entry code is very handy and even though there is no front desk, the owners were very responsive so it was not an issue. Water pressure could be better but overall, excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again when in Zagreb.

This place is fantastic! Located blocks from the main square - sites, bars, and restaurants are all around or a short walk.

The six rooms have been built out on one corner of the building and are brand new with comfortable beds and large bathrooms. Unfortunately, the triple room is right in the middle of the floor. The walls are thin so we could hear every noise or conversation.

We would totally stay again due to the location and quality of room - I'd simply bring ear plugs.

Cozy, quiet, no-fuss hotel in Zagreb Center

Zagreb City Vibe Apartments is the perfect stay for the independent traveller with simple needs. It's conveniently located in central Zagreb. Self check-in was a breeze. All the basic amenities are provided. The room is simple and well-appointed. It's relatively quiet, despite regular traffic outside, and it's kept warm during cold weather. As this place is an excellent base from which to explore the city, I'd definitely stay here again.

Lovely room with all the amenities of a hotel!

Beautiful, modern and clean place that is very well equipped. I stayed for 2 nights and I really enjoyed my time there. It is well located and all the main atttractions are walking distance.

The staff is super nice and Josip was very helpful! He gave me a city map and pointed out where to go and local places to eat.

Highly recommended place!
