If you have kids & plan on staying there, it’s good. Lots of things to do inside for cheap.

If you’re looking for a nice hotel in San Angelo for a couples’ weekend getaway, this is NOT it. TV was in/out of service both nights we were there. It’s very outdated, yet, they have top dollar pricing… 15-20, 30-gallon trash bags were left around a tree by staff, & was there the entire weekend. Teens-young adults were walking around cars after dark, so it was hard to fall asleep thinking my car would get broken into.

Overall, I’d give it a 2 of out 5. Only thing that was good about it was the restaurant. Pizza wasn’t bad, & my waitress/bartender was good! My wife wasn’t too impressed by the stay. For the same $300 for 2 night stay, I can get a nicer room in DFW.

We booked this stay kind of last minute, because we were looking for somewhere to stay, and my daughter saw the indoor pool. She was sold on that feature alone! Everything was clean and tidy. The decor is a little outdated, and the bed was an older spring bed, but it was comfortable nonetheless. But the best part of the whole stay was that my 10 year-old daughter had the time of her life. She enjoyed the pool. We enjoyed the mini golf course and the arcade and table hockey. And I had no idea that San Angelo was as interesting as it is… There’s lots to explore! There’s a lot of outdoor stuff to explore too, so we’re going to go back in the fall and we will be staying with Pearl on the Concho again.

I had a very disappointing experience at Pearl on the Concho. The room was honestly disgusting. The bathtub wouldn’t drain, they had the A/C condensation line draining directly into the shower with a wet paper towel stuck on the end. It looked completely unprofessional and unsanitary. On top of that, the noise level was unbearable. You could hear everything especially loud music coming from the atrium which made it impossible to relax. The overall environment did not feel safe or comfortable at all. We ended up leaving after only one hour and went to another hotel because it was that bad. To make matters worse, they refused to give us a refund and instead offered to move us to an outside entrance room which made me feel even less safe. There was also a homeless encampment along the river nearby, which added to the discomfort. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures online.
I would not recommend staying here.

My employee and his family stayed here based on the listing, which was misleading and did not reflect the actual condition of the property. The neighborhood felt unsafe and appeared to have a high incidence of public disorder; it was not what we expected from the hotel's photos and description.
The hotel itself is rundown and poorly maintained. Common areas and rooms were unclean and showed signs of neglect. During their stay the plumbing was a major problem — toilets and the sewer system were not functioning properly. This created unsanitary conditions and significant inconvenience for the family.
Given the discrepancies between the online description and reality, the safety concerns in the surrounding area, and the serious maintenance and cleanliness issues, I cannot recommend this hotel. Management should address basic repairs, deep cleaning, and update their listing to accurately represent the property. Prospective guests should exercise caution and consider alternative accommodations.

Stayed 2 nights. Clean room. Pillows were anwful so we went to Target to buy 2. Exterior room, could hear more outside activity on the 2nd morning(Saturday) early in the a.m.

Had breakfast both mornings. Saturday the waffle makers were out, on Friday morning they were not.

We did try the restaurant on Friday night. We shared a burger and fries and half size pizza.

Utilized the park across the street for a nice 2 mile walk Friday morning.

We did not partake in the extra amenities(pool, games etc)

Back in its time, this hotel was a Beautiful place, it is run down, elevator out of service, and spiral stairs to the breakfast location are stained, It is not loved by the Management, my room was out dated worn furniture, ( bed was comfy) but the cracked bathtub had me worried.
There is an indoor pool, and families running around, but I didn't feel the love.
I will say the breakfast was hot.

Staff was awesome! Rooms were super clean and nice! Pool was good but it could've been way warmer for an indoor heated pool it was super cold. The arcade spot had lots of choices to play but most didn't work or took our change. But over all my kids had a blast and it we enjoyed ourselves. I'd definitely still recommend it to anyone!

Overall great stay. Only thing I didn’t prefer (my own preference) was the humidity in the atrium. But in a west Texas girl and not used to any. My daughter loved the pool and Play ground. Food was AMAZING. Once we arrived we didn’t leave until the morning since it had everything. Will be staying here again next month!

Had roaches on our bed . The staff was super nice and they really wanted to make it better for me but I couldn’t stay there after finding a roach crawling on the bed . There were roaches in the restroom as well . It’s a great place to take the kids swimming if that didn’t happen it would’ve been perfect .

The hotel is an older hotel. But it was still nice enough. We had a view of the river, which was nice. We went during the week so the breakfast was not great. We did not get biscuits and gravy or waffles or there wasn’t even a toaster to toast our bread. We didn’t have any bagels. So it was kind of disappointing. We ended up making us a burrito. The eggs, potatoes and sausage were delicious! The swimming pool was too cold! But overall, we had a very nice stay.

Absolutely awful place! Reviews are correct they totally blow off check in times! No excuses Cleaning is separate dept! Management is stunningly inept! When you accept money, booking way in advance & when customer calls days before to confirm, tells you we need to check in on time you have NO REASON WHY THEY CAN'T! A little legal advice to them, when you accept money, we accept check out time, you accept check in time, it's called four corners of the contract! Owner needs to clean out staff and hire capable individuals to run things!! After decades of travel all over the US and out of country this is never, I MEAN NEVER DONE! The room after being blown off, told could not check in until later In the evening, when we did finally,the room was a joke! Not a suite as selected a small room. Bathroom tub dirty, broken door handles, no microwave and the room we waited for so long to be prepared had no tissues in built-in holder no bath soap either! Add in they don't do normal resort shut down on indoor pool and play as resort ls do even in Mexico, they blasted the guest with high volume music and hundreds of screaming out of control kids until almost midnight. The brats were knocking on guest doors as well! Plus over heard a man get double billed and a child who politely ask for help gets talk rudely to by staff! Laundry facilities broken and out of service most of Arcade as well! DON'T USE THIS HORRID PLACE! I wish they had ZERO STARS TO GIVE! MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED!!

This is a great place for families with children. There is a fine indoor pool largely accessible to children, and a playground.
If you are not with children, you may be bothered by the noise. I wasn't, because I like the sound of children. But it was fairly loud.

The hotel was nice enough for the price but on the day of checkout the hotel staff would not leave us alone. Two separate staff members knocking on the door at 9am asking if we were checking out that day. We booked to checkout on that day, why did they need re confirmation? They also called my phone twice at 10am, I didn’t answer but I assume they were asking if we were checking out that day. Checkout time is at 11 so I don’t feel the need to be bothered by hotel staff until that time.

Shower head very low, leak out of shower faucet, what looked like an ac hose spit out some nasty hairy clump into the bathtub end. Towels left on bathtub side feel into tub and were already went when I got there. Check in staff put me and my dog (dog was with me at check in) in am inside facing room. No isise. Upon leaving in morninf, approached by someone saying he was the general manager letting me know animals arent allowed in inside facing rooms. After he was done telling me the rules, I told him I did not pick the room. He needs to go manage his employees with the rules, not me. He still with attitude wanted me to know the rules. Even after being told he's barking up the wrong tree. Hotel is not worth 100 a night. Maybe 60 at most like a hotel 6. Towels had what I hope is rust stains on them. Won't be back. Dog wants happy either. Ruff night.

We have stayed here 2-3 times a year for the past 4 years, we have enjoyed every time. Big sister shows lambs and little sister is too young so it’s the perfect place for us to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We LOVE the pool, it’s clean and there is always someone to play with. The restaurants food is good “home cooking”. There is a bar, the drinks we’ve gotten have been good. The staff is amazing! And so friendly!! If you are going in thinking you’re staying at the Ritz Carlton, then you will be disappointed. It’s family hotel! We look forward to many more stays!

Was a bit put off when the 2.5 year old in our group was briefly missing, notified front desk while 4 adults in our group are searching for her. Both employees seemed dismissive, unbothered, didn’t ask a single question about her appearance or how to notify us if she wandered to the lobby, let alone offer assistance.

The first morning breakfast was good, second it was not so great. The restaurant got 3 of our 6 meals wrong the one time we ate there but did fix it.

Overall we enjoyed our time and thankfully kiddo was found within a couple terrifying minutes.

I have tried 10 different hotels in San Angelo. This one was at the top and one of only two I would stay at again. Unless you are going for the purpose of the amenities, I would suggest an outside room (noise) which I had. A large room with a comfortable space (even if it was somewhat dated...lack of plugs to charge in for example), it was not spotless but it was comfortably clean. The thing that set it apart was the staff. Friendly and efficient, they went above and beyond and were greatly appreciated.
