Absolutely gorgeous hotel in beautiful surroundings. Free parking directly outside the hotel and was easy to find a space. Walkable down to the harbour (20mins) but they also put on a shuttle bus that we didn’t use as it is back uphill. Lovely views from the restaurant and pool area. Our room was directly onto the pool. Breakfast was fantastic. The rooms particularly the bathrooms could do with an update but they were very clean and had everything we needed and the outside of the hotel and facilities made up for this. Highly recommend

This property is even better in person. The rooms are clean and AC worked unlike other hotels in Italy. The included breakfast was amazing, so many options and delicious. There is a nice view where you can enjoy a drink out on the patio near the pool. We will be back!

Lovely hotel near the centre of Palau

Lovely hotel with staff who were very helpful. Close enough to walk conveniently to the centre of Palau (10-20 mins) although up a hill. The room was nice and the amenities clean and plentiful, although we did notice the water coming from the taps was not clear - it was a slightly yellowish colour.

Clean, luxurious hotel with friendly staff at the reception. It's on a hill and 15 mins walk or a short drive from the center of the town. Upside : really nice, clean, modern room. Good pool (we didn't use) and friendly reception staff. Downsides : breakfast is disorganized, the parking is behind the hotel and in a unpaved, dark plot.

The town is very nice and has 3 beaches that you can walk to in 15 mins. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk up a very steep hill. It will keep you fit. There are lots of good quality restaurants nearby. Of course ice cream is excellent with lots of local speciality flavours. Breakfast at the hotel is good but minimal variety. I had dinner at the hotel on one occasion. None of the dishes at the hotel were cooked well. I had the Octopus Salad was over cooked and smelt like rubber.
By comparison I had the same dish for lunch at another restaurant which was excellent. The pool is quite small, much better to go to the beach where the hotel has an area reserved with sunbeds that is just off the beach.

Only one night, but still very nice

I stayed here for just one night, but had enough time to enjoy both dinner and breakfast here. I had a decent view from my window out the back of the hotel, and the location wasn't ideal, but it certainly wasn't so far out of the way that it affected my stay. The staff was very friendly from the front desk, to the housekeeping, to the restaurant. If I ever end up in this part of the world again, I would most likely stay here again.

Beautiful grounds with a lovely view!

Best breakfast of our entire journey in Sardinia! Dining out on the balcony was the icing on the cake, with the beautiful view of Palau down to the sea.

A good basic 3* hotel.

Staff friendly. Great views of the islands. Rooms very basic, as was the hotel. Everyone there was Italian. If your looking for just a room with B/B in a good location then for the price the hotel is good value.

Charming but unreliable

Charming hotel, however some maintenance should be prioritised. The aircon did not work in all parts of our room. We told the technician who looked at it and said it would work within 10 minutes….we waited more than 10 minutes, still not working, still told to wait…of course it was a lie. It did not work and we had to split our family in different rooms 4 hours later just before we went to bed…

However the young staff was serviceminded, and plus for the great sailboat they had for a trip to La Maddalena area.

Les chambres sont agréables donnant sur la piscine.
L hôtel a beaucoup de charme, petit déjeuner exceptionnel avec une vu sur la mer magnifique.

The breakfast left nothing to be desired, but lunch and dinner can be improved on.

The pool area is maybe a bit small, but when you have the mediterranean at a walking distance, who cares

Not value for money

Vi synes ikke dette hotellet var \"valuta for pengene\". Rommet var lite, og hotellet var 15 minutter å gå fra byen og fra stranden. Det var riktignok shuttlebus til stranden, men den gikk fire ganger om dagen og man måtte bestille plass i forkant.
Bassengområdet var rent og fint. Rommene var også rene og frokosten var veldig god. Vi betalte over kr 3000 for en natt, men hadde forventet mer luksusfølelse på rommet for denne prisen. Hadde rommet kostet kr 2000 hadde vi gitt hotellet mye høyere score. Oppsummert: \"Not value for money\"

Hôtel situé au charme désuet situé sur les hauteurs de Palau.
Les chambres s'articulent autour de la piscine, celles de rez de chaussé bénéficient d'une petite terrasse. Le jardin est agréable.
Le buffet du petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Muito bom hotel em Palau

Hotel grande e localizado no alto da cidade de Palau. O carro é indispensável. O hotel tem estacionamento pago com poucas vagas e o restante dos hóspedes estaciona em um terreno baldio atrás do prédio. Serviço de quarto excelente, com limpeza e troca de toalhas duas vezes ao dia. Funcionários muito simpáticos. Café da manhã ótimo, muito variado. Jantamos uma noite no hotel e não fomos nada felizes: comida e serviço fracos. Porém, em razão de nossa reclamação, não fomos cobradas, o que nos pareceu bastante correto da parte do hotel. O hotel está muito bem localizado para quem pretende fazer passeios pela Costa Esmeralda de carro ou de barco. Fizemos uma massagem no Spa, também muito boa. Não deixe de agendar a sua massagem de boas vindas, em geral incluída na diária.

Wunderschöner Blick über Palau

Wir haben 3 Nächte im Hotel Palau übernachtet. Für ein 4* Hotel ist die Anlage zwar von aussen hübsch anzusehen, die Ausstattung offensichtlich aber eher auf eine Zielgruppe 60 plus ausgerichtet. Wir hatten ein Superior double room gebucht, die Zimmer sind sehr groß und haben ein separates Wohnzimmer, welches aus unserer Sicht eigentlich überflüssig war. Viel lieber hätte man einen privaten Balkon gehabt mit Blick auf Palau und das Meer, welcher nicht vorhanden war. Die Betten sind sehr hart, dafür sind die Zimmer schön ruhig und sauber. Die kulinarische VIelfalt beim Frühstücksbuffet war ja bereits als trostlos vorberschrieben, so hatten wir nicht sehr viel erwartet. Dafür ist die Frühstücksterrasse sehr hübsch angelegt und tröstet über das einfache Frühstück hinweg.

Wir haben das Hotel deswegen ausgesucht, da wir in die Nachbarinsel La Madalene besuchen wollten. Jedoch haben wir uns so wohl im Hotel Palau gefühlt, dass wir uns am Pool des Hotels aufgehalten hatten.

Mucho turista español y tan sólo dos saben hablar español, una de ellas se esconde para no hablarlo.
La habitación era horrible, malas almohadas, ventana que no se abre por completo, agua que se sale por los laterales de la ducha, malos olores, servicio en mal estado, no reponen el gel que gastas.
Sales por la mañana y cuando vuelves puedes tenerte la ventana de la habitación abierta con todos tus enseres dentro porque lo deja así la limpieza.
Agua piscina con restos de hojas permanentemente.
Buffet libre variado pensando para clientes ingleses, mucho té, pero no saben que es el cola cao.

Vi (par rundt 30 år) bodde 4 netter på Hotel Palau, juli 2016. Hotellet var alt i alt bra. Frokosten var fantastisk (inkludert). Middagen var antagelig bra, men for dyr for oss (30-40 euro per person, og det var kun maten), så vi valgte å gå ut på restauranter. Hotellet er renslig. Fint bassengområdet og solsenger / parasoller. Fin bar. Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale som alltid var tilgjengelige. Kort avstand til havnen og sentrum med butikker og resturanter. Selve rommet var vi dessverre ikke så fornøyde med - det var veldig lite, mørkt, litt fuktig, veldig hard seng - men det var rent og greit, og hotellet har sikkert bedre rom hvis man betaler for det. Anbefaler ferge til La Maddalena-øyene. Hotellet tilbyr ekskursjon til flere øyer, til rundt 70 euro per person (vi var ikke på dette). Vi fant ut siste dagen at hotellet har gratis shuttle buss til en strand i nærheten (kun 10 minutter å gå - Spiaggia La Sciumara), og der er det gratis solsenger/parasoller for hotellets gjester). Anbefales sterkt, da det er dyrt å leie dette på alle andre strender. Anbefaler forøvrig å leie bil, men vær obs på at det kan bli dyrt. Alt i alt - Palau er en fin plass og enkelt å komme seg rundt med bil. Hotellet er bra, klassifiserer nok til 4 stjerner, men altså ikke selve rommet. Kan anbefales til andre.

Flott frokost, små rom

Kjempefint hotell med utsikt, flott bassengområde og fint resepsjonsområde. Rommene var små, men var rene og det ble byttet håndklær hver dag. Vi klagde på madrassene til ungene fordi de var håpløse å ligge på. De er ikke kresne, men man kunne tydelig kjenne stålsprinklene. De lovte å gjøre alt de kunne, og det viste seg å være ingenting. Vi skulle heldigvis bare være der i tre netter.
Frokosten var kjempebra, med en fantastisk utsikt. Bassengområdet var kjempefint med fine senger. Mulighet får å kjøpe drikke fra bar. Men så er det som det er på mange steder litt missforstått at gjesten til enhver tid må aktiviseres. Ei dame gikk til stadighet rundt bassenget for å få folk med på vanngym, noe ingen var interessert i. De som sov ble vekket for å bli spurt!! Samme damen var dj og spilte musikk med forskjellig volum og det hele var mer irriterende enn avslappende.

Ayant l'habitude de voyager, j'ai trouvé cet hotel décevant pour un etablissement de cette catégorie. Quoique propre, la chambres est beacoup trop petite. Peux de place pour mettre les bagages. Difficulté pour s'assoir sur les toilettes sans avoir les genoux qui heurtent les paroies de la cabine de douche. Le personnel est aimable mais sans plus. Dans la chambre, la clim est poussive et très bruyante. Il est imposible de la régler au dessous de 24 degrés. La télévision par sattelitte foncionne très mal, aves de fréquentes cuopures. Il n'y a pas de chaine francophone (e.g. TV5 monde). Les choix au petit déjeuné sont corrects ainsi que la nourriture au diner quoique un peu chères. Il a fallu réclamer pour obtenir le remboursement complet de la caution versée pour les serviettes de plage et la clé du coffre de la chambre. Coffre qui est minuscule.
Il est arrivé par 2 fois d'avoir à subir le bruit d'un laveur haute pression qu'un employé de l'hotel passait pour nettoyer les arbustes au bord de la piscine????
Bref, nous ne retournerons pas dans cet etablissement.

Très bien! Une belle petite marche pour se rendre au port. Bon restaurant également. il n'y a pas de balcon dans cet hotel. Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour!
Si vous désirez un tour de bateau avec un capitaine formidable, présentez-vous au port et demander pour le Blue Rider! Francesco est le propriétaire et capitaine du bateau. Ce fut notre moment magique en Sardaigne!

Grande et belle chambre, douche a l'italienne. Belle vue sur la mer mais depuis le patio . Pas d'accé direct a la plage, mais belle emplacement réservé pour l'hôtel. Chambre très propre , les femmes de ménage peux discrète. Buffet très varié et bien garni jusqu'au bout .

La salle de bain n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4*une douche sans douchette comme avant et très petite, le lavabo repeint et non changé, ainsi que la faïence repeinte et les anciens tuyauteries toujours apparent, le reste est correcte.
