We booked a standard room and were given a disabled room which was right next to reception. It was therefore quite loud and there was minimal soundproofing. There was also patio furniture outside the window so we had noise from both sides.

The wet room bathroom was pretty nasty. We showered after using the pool after checking in which meant the whole floor was wet and the bath mat was soaked through. There wasn’t a squeegee or anything to get rid of the water. We hoped it would drain but….it did not. The floor just remained wet for the rest of our stay. Wet feet anytime you needed to go into the bathroom which was really icky. No flip flops or slippers available.

The ad said toiletries were included - this is actually only shower gel and hand wash, so I couldn’t wash my hair properly after using the pool.

The room wasn’t that clean also - in need of a good dust. There was a dead spider on the window ledge that looked like it had been there for a while.

We were only staying for 1 night fortunately, but any longer and we would have asked to move.

I would have happily given this feedback to their reception in a kind manner at check out if they had asked how our stay was - however, no one did ask.

It was ok but the hotel is showing its age and in some areas needs some attention

Breakfast at £16 booked or £18 on the day was just not worth it in our opinion. Granted if you wanted cornflakes or a fry up it was all there but outside of that the options were limited and average quality. Only coffee option was a jug of filter coffee

We went to the spa and pool area but we were greeted with you will need to get your own towels as we have run out here!

We were disappointed to find that breakfast was not included in the price and so we had to pay an additional charge for breakfasts for our two night stay.
The meal we had at the pub in the first night was mediocre at best. We ordered one of the 'specials' , which we thought would be good. It was a pie that had been microwaved and so instead of a crisp pastry crust was more like elastic.

Overall staff friendly and helpful. Room clean and gym/pool good.

Major reason for selecting the hotel was that it was “dog friendly” however, while there was a dog friendly room (for a fee) the rest of the hotel is pretty much out of bounds with the exception of a tiled area in the adjacent pub where we could eat. No lounge area or similar we could make use of.

While the hotel was nice overall the restrictions because of having a dog were quite limiting.

We were disappointed with the standard of the room, it was basic and more like a room in some large franchise which catered for one night stays.
Staff were courteous without being inviting and happy to have our custom.
We did get a room that was appropriate for our needs, with a wet room and all the grab rails for support in the bathroom. The heated towel rail was turned off and we could not turn it on. As a last minute booking we were a little underwhelmed.

Pleasant stay, good spacious room (superior double), although it was too warm on hot sunny days. Nice view over the gardens. Impressed with free electric car charging point. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and sauna, good facilities, friendly staff. Very good evening dining experience with a varied menu, lots of vegetarian options. Unfortunately, breakfast seemed too pricey for what was on offer but served well by friendly staff. Location was convenient for travel but on busy cross roads, although this didn't mean much noise.

Nice spa experience, unfortunately fully booked so couldnt get any treatments. Sign of good spa being fully booked also bank holiday weekend and hotel had a wedding so not surprised really. Had afternoon tea which was delightful. Would recommend this hotel for a break away.

A little disappointing

We checked in to find that the rate did not include breakfast. The receptionist quoted us at £13.50 each, but it would be £18.50 if we purchased it in the morning. We returned a little later to confirm that we did wish to have breakfast and we were charged £14.50 each. As it turned out £14.50 was expensive for what we had as the breakfast was merely okay.

The room had not been services properly as we found more than one piece of rubbish when checking in.

We had a meal in the Farmers Pub, part of the hotel complex. My wife's baked potato was acceptable. I had the loaded nachos which were dreadful. It is very rare for me not to finiah a meal but a barely managed half of it. Very disappointing!

The indoor pool was good as was the steam room. The sauna was not really hot enough but there was a sign saying that the temperature had been reduced because guests and members had been putting water on the heating element. Perhaps they should have turned the heat up not down?

All in all not a four star hotel and there are other better ones in the area.

The hotel was very pretty and oldy wordy. The pub had character to it but the younger staff looked as if they didnt want to be there so there was no great customer service there. The rooms looked as if they were old stable blocks so did not look appealing from the outside but they were large inside and very clean. The breakfast was lovely and the older staff in there were far more friendly and focused on custoner serbive. The spa was smalll but quite adequate. Overall a nice stay.

Hardly anyone staying in hotel so I’m sure they could have done a complimentary upgrade especially as was celebrating our anniversary. We have stayed before and got a better room for less money.

Beautiful hotel in the country. Our room overlooked a field and we saw deer and rabbits often which was great. The room was huge with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is beautiful and traditional. The spa was nice. The pool was also nice. Some areas could use a bit of updating but it’s all part of the charm! Highly recommend for a great hotel and good value.

Hoping for a nights stay in luxury. Room given was just ok. Had everything you needed but very tired and dark.
Slept well. Room was in courtyard and during evening could hear extractor fan. We were in room 6. We like a big bed so chose room with twin beds. Bit disappointed.

A typical Best Western, comfortable but dated. On a busy road and noisy from the traffic. Upgraded the room to a ground floor garden room with patio whuch was nice and spascious. This is a very quiet hotel catering for the more mature guest and unfortunately lacked character and charisma. The pool and gym along with the spa are open to the public so are busy and the pool is not really suitable for children. Breakfast was ok, but again thd atmosphere is excrutiatingly dull and for the price of thd rooms, should really be included in the price. The pub/restaurant follows this same theme, very dull but ok and catering towards the more mature guest. Staff were friendly, good facilities in the room and clean witb good housekeeping. To sum it up, dated, tired and dull, not ideal for families but would suit a business stop over or retired couples and elderly guests.

We chose this Hotel for the facilities, Restaurant, Gym & Pool. We used all and although this was at the start of school Easter Holidays, the hotel & facilities were quiet and pleasant. The pool, jacuzzi, sauna & steam room were relaxing and clean.
We explored the North Coast of Norfolk and found this was a good base to travel from, we also visited the large town of Kings Lynn which has all the major shops and restaurants.
The room was large, a bit dated decor wise but clean.
All staff were helpful and pleasant.
We would definately consider staying here again in the future.

The staff at this hotel are all very friendly and helpful. There are goof facilities including 24 hour room service menu and everything one could expect in the room, although ours had no air conditioning (being February this didn't matter, but it might have done in the summer. One could, however, open the window and there was hardly any noise outside).

Some reviewers have said the hotel is dated. This is somewhat true. However, the atmosphere was very pleasant and charming. If you are looking for an ultra modern environment then maybe you should look elsewhere. If, however, you are looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with excellent service, great facilities, and all that most people would need, then this is the place.

We stayed because our son and his family have recently moved to the area, and we were so happy here that we joined the rewards program, for further stays.

We arrived & checked in. The receptionist informed us of restaurant times & the facility locations. Our room was amazing, it wss large, with a seating area & an outside area to sit with a drink, which will be lovely during the summer months. There is an on-site pub which was very reasonably priced. The hotel bar prices are the same as in any hotel. Everyone was friendly & helpful. Definitely worth another visit - close to Castle Rising, Sandringham, Kings Lynn & Hunstanton

Really nice hotel with great facilities. Staff were all friendly and we had no problems at all whilst there.

The room itself was clean and tidy with good facilities for the all important cup of tea and a biscuit.

We had a twin room and my only complaint was the bed being a bit short. Not really the hotels fault that I’m a bit taller though and I still slept well so it can’t be that bad.

Parking is ample and we were able to charge our electric car. There is a plug top charger and a 7.2kW untethered charger. Perfectly adequate for a destination charger, plug in overnight, all charged up by morning. And free. No complaints here.

Great place to watch the sun go down with excellent access to the coast and towns.

Would definitely stay here again.

The pool is an odd shape and therefore not great for serious swimmers although we were glad to have it; the room was spacious and the bed enormous. The breakfast which had to be pre-ordered was generous - the best of its kind we have had post-pandemic, although it could do with the addition of a piece of fruit. The whole place was very clean, although we had no housekeeping service during the two nights we were there - Covid security measure. Overall we had a good stay and I would stay here again.

A very comfortable hotel in pleasant surroundings. Restaurant options were good. There was a free charge point for our electric car although the bay was occupied by a car that was not using it ! The hotel reception were able to sort this out after some delay and agreed that a sign should ask guests not to park there unless rhey were using the charger.

A pleasant stay with my 13 year old son

This is a nice hotel. The pool is a bonus. Rooms were comfortable and spacious and the WIFI was good enough to view short videos and emails. To be fair I didn't try streaming anything. The beds in the twin room were virtually doubles.

Breakfast at £13.50 per head was a little steep so we ate elsewhere. We didn't use the restaurant as we were going out and didn't use the ar so couldn't comment on that.

Staff were friendly and helpful. I would have no issues staying here again.

Dirty bathroom and dark room, avoid!

The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off, the hooks were all hanging off and when I went to make a cup of tea the milk in the sachet was completely mouldy!
The room was very dark and very hot. There was no air con and if you open the window all you can hear is the loud noise from the road.
Definitely wouldn’t return.
