I arrived at the property and it was immediately clear that the bedsheets had not been changed. There were muddy paw prints and visible dog hairs all over the bedding. I contacted the host straight away, who offered to change the bedding but insisted it was “clean, just stained” and that this had been missed by the cleaners.
However, if the bedding was clean, it should not have had dog hair on it. This raised serious concerns about the overall cleanliness of the property. If something as basic as fresh bedding had not been done, I did not feel confident that other items such as towels or surfaces had been properly cleaned either.
As a result, I did not feel comfortable staying and had to leave immediately and find alternative accommodation. Despite this, the host has refused to issue a refund, even though I was unable to stay due to the condition of the property on arrival.
Very disappointing experience and not what I expect when booking paid accommodation

Nigel was very helpful on arrival and throughout our stay. Breakfast included an array of cereals, yogurts, breads and scrambled egg was available. The site is close to the beach but it was too cold for us to spend any time by the sea.

I had a fantastic experience staying at MyMiniBreak. The room was spotless, beautifully presented, and came with a private bathroom. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable. The entire place has a charming, peaceful vibe, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into keeping the accommodation in top shape.

One of the biggest pluses was the private car park – very convenient and secure. The outdoor area is lovely too, with hanging flower baskets and a relaxing patio that makes you feel right at home.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet, clean, and comfortable getaway spot. I’ll definitely be coming back!

A lovely pretty place to stay. We stayed in the Wood Lodge. Which was sweet with its own little garden / courtyard. Location is great especially as the beach is a 2 minutes walk where you can go and watch the sunset.
I would highly recommend this place, especially as there are different accommodation options to pick from.
Nigel was very helpful and welcoming.
Extra added bonus is dogs are welcome...

Over night get away.

Myself and partner just had the one night away, great set up, accommodation was excellent, quaint and very clean and comfortable. Nigel(the host) was a pleasure to meet and nothing was an issue for him should there of been one.
If anyone is thinking of booking here, you won’t be disappointed.

Longstanding infestation of rats.Property appeared to be clean and tidy however once darkness descended there was an un-mistakeable cacophony caused by rats which had infested the ceiling and cavity walls of the property. The night-long noise was such that sleep was almost impossible and the property was uninhabitable. Had we known we would never have booked the property.
We were offered one night in alternative accommodation but there was clear evidence of rat infestation in this property also i.e a large amount of fresh rat droppings along the external cavity wall and so we had no alternative but to leave and cancel the holiday.
Out of date yoghurts were served at breakfast along with orange juice and milk stored uncapped in the refridgerator.
We have spoken to the property owner and he refused to accept any responsibility for the problem or offer any compensation.

We stayed in the old barn, it was very clean and cosy and only 2 mins walk to the beach. Nigel and Carol were very welcoming and helpful in advising about local amenities and pubs! We also had our dog who got more exercise than he bargained for! Great stay for families with a dog in tow!

The rustic appearance is deceptive. Our accommodation was as good, if not better, than any we’ve stayed at. The hosts were kindness itself. The buffet breakfast was excellent. Loads of choice, and fresh eggs from the hosts hens. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Super Seaside Escape !

Very easy to find. The ability to add ons is a nice touch. The welcoming we received upon arrival was lovely.

The chalet was amazing! Really cosy, well kitted out, clean and well decorated. Full of lovely little touches.

The whole glamping/camping/chalet/home site was lovely. Guests had a friendly vibe.

Super close to the beach and a lovely walk to Hunstanton. Quick drive to Sandringham and Norfolk Lavender garden.

Would definitely recommend and stay again !

Beautiful gem.

I Stayed in a lovely shepherds hut called bluebell which was lovely and quaint inside. Plates, glasses, cutlery, cups and kettle are provided. There is a small general kitchen area with kettle, toaster, microwave and hotplate. You will need to bring your own pans and there is a fire area provided on which you can cook food too. In the hut a small single camping gas cooker is available and all linen and towels are provided also. My breakfast hamper included fresh eggs from their own hens (which are super friendly) and a small microwavable bowl to cook them. The toilets and shower areas were clean well maintained and restocked with hand towels, toilet paper and handwash. Hot water was always available when i stayed in mid May. That's the practical stuff. For me personally i loved being so close to nature, you open the door and are on the edge of huge meadow that is frequented by birds, hares and butterflies. I went to relax and that's just what i did. The beach is only a few hundred feet from you as are great walks. The only downside for me if i was forced to make one is the bed is a firm mattress on a hard base. Great for some but i'm softie lover, so i folded my quilt a few times, i didn't need it because it was warm and i'm sure had i asked Nigel or Carol would have provided more. Lovely hosts.

Found the booking procedure a little confusing with hotel.com but once we arrived at our accommodation we were met by Nigel and it was just easy friendly and professional. We stayed in the dairy which was rustically charming and our every need was catered for. We were booked in for breakfast which offered a wide choice from eggs to yogurt to cereals and served by lovely friendly Carol. Nothing was too much trouble and we thank you for a relaxing few days.

A fabulous location on the South beach side. Perfect for pet friendly as rooms are all opening out to patio and owners have dogs to .

I went out of season mid week and it was so quiet. Easy walk to beach and good area on site for field walk. Owners have lots of local knowledge.

Breakfast was easy self service . It felt home from home and very relaxed.

We arrived early and were allowed to park up. We were shown to our room by Nigel who was very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful . Best of all were the farm fresh eggs. Nothing was too much trouble. Fresh dog towels were available when ours got soaked at the beach. We had a lovely stay. Thankyou both.

We enjoyed our last minute stay in this beautiful property. It was decorated and furnished lovely, very romantic. There was a beach around a 5 minute walk away and a local shop. The breakfast was included, a nice continental which we really enjoyed.

The location was brilliant and very peaceful. The woodshed was beautiful, warm, clean and had good storage for our stay. My son particularly enjoyed breakfast meals, most of all being able to help himself to a wide selection of cereals, breads, waffles, eggs and more. First visit to Norfolk and it did not disappoint. Mixed experiences

We stayed at Norfolk Coast B&B for 2 nights this past weekend, and had a mixed experience.

The good:
- Check in experience was seamless, and we were provided with 2 dog towels
- Breakfast was lovely
- Room was a lovely size and very homely

Areas for improvement:
- In order to access the free WiFi you have to sign into a Facebook account (which we don't have one and was unprepared to create an account for a couple of nights entering our personal details which meta would then have access to).There appeared to be an option to sign in via a code, however this was not available when queried with the team. It didn't help that we had no signal at the cottages either so couldn't even use data during our stay to connect to the internet.
- Experienced issues with both the shower pressure (intermittent) and temperature (mainly ran hot or cold), as well as the bathroom basin cold tap also not working intermittently. Was told that the water is gravity fed which is fine but doesn't help solve the issues we experienced.
- I would agree with some other reviewers that the site itself could have been better presented, was generally untidy with rubbish and rubble throughout the external areas.

I expected more for the price we paid.

We have had a wonderful time staying here.
Our room was so welcoming after a hot long drive.Tastefully decorated with tea,coffee biscuits and water provided,fluffy towels and lovely smelling toiletries in the en suite bathroom.
Debbie was fabulous giving us lots of information about the local area and happy to provide us with anything we asked for.
Great location right near the sandy,spacious beach.
We will definitely be coming back.

Nice modern hotel, good location for local attractions. Smart, clean and comfortable room. Good choice for breakfast all self service but full english and continental selection. On the same sight there were other food outlets, Harvester, KFC, Co op shop and garage and other restaurants too. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Lovely place and dog friendly too. Carol the host was warm and welcoming. Room was really comfortable and cosy. It had nearly everything you need. The only added touches we missed was a clothes rail, coat hooks and an iron and iron board, apart from that the room was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and it was a real treat to have fresh eggs on a morning. Highly recommend.

We booked this on the understanding we were getting bed and breakfast not continental which normal states that which it did not.
I also emailed them regarding my mobility and having a shower in the room ,only to find there was no grab rail slip mat nothing so health and safety was an issue for me which I should have been told its unsuitable so no shower for me first night.
The room was full of dust and cobwebs and the bedding was stained I did txt asking if they would come but no reply so we slept on the thinest towels ever.
Anyway the next morning we went to breakfast warm milk and orange juice on the tables no one there ,this was when it was very hot in July .
We went back to out room only to find the water jug had been filled up no bed changed or made no bin empited disgusting .
It made me laugh as when I asked what time check in was I got told 5 oclock as they need to deep clean after each guest due to covid regulations,really if thats their standards would hate to have stayed prior to covid then .

Quirky property close to Heacham beach

This was a quirky property conveniently close to the beach at Heacham and to many attractions in North Norfolk. Unusually for the east coast the beach faces west across the Wash and we enjoyed some wonderful sunsets.
There were a few things that would have made our stay even more comfortable which we alerted the owner to.
The shower was over the Bath and it would have been helpful to have an anti-slip mat and a rail, or more preferably a walk in shower. Some hooks for coats would have been useful and some lighter weight bedding as the bedroom was quite warm at nights.
But we did enjoy our stay and the breakfasts left in our room. (Covid restrictions were in place)

Cute room , small but perfectly formed.
‘In room’ breakfast buffet was very good.
Garden tables and chairs a bonus, especially in the good weather. The small garden has some well established plants. The whole site is clearly being developed but it was ok.
If the weather was bad it could feel claustrophobic but otherwise really nice.

We found much to like about this place: the characteristic carrstone-and-pantiles, the individually decorated rooms, the quiet setting, the proximity of the beach. We spent five nights in the Roost, which offered a comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, a kettle and supplies, and a good ensuite, despite a limited floor area. There were a few little niggles, but Nigel & Carol are wonderfully welcoming, relaxed and helpful, and this is a work in progress, with all sorts of exciting plans. It’s also well placed for getting to a variety of local attractions, especially if you know the country roads. Even though we have friends in the area, we’d stay at the Dairy again.

The property is spacious and comfortable with two separate bedrooms, ideal for families. Some of the amenities could do with updating, such as the shower.
