Pool facilities excellent, indoor and outdoor. Located right on the beach. The resort is very small and quiet, justtwo or three bars/restaurants. Transport to other locations very limited. Rooms were large and plenty of storage space. Food was average quality.

We had an excellent stay for 9 nights. Great location, with pool and swimming in the sea.

I didn’t feel like it was a 5 star hotel. Had to ask for the towels to be changed (I stayed 10 days). I was baffled why it wasn’t done routinely. The food choice didn’t change at all. I’ve had to eat scrambled eggs with sausages for 10 days straight. It became boring very fast. The beach isn’t really private. Anyone could walk in. And other things that I know isn’t supposed to be in a 5 star hotel.

Absolutely a stunning hotel, right on the seashore. We had a hotel near Dubrovnik cancel a month before for no reason and booked the Admiral. We were so happy we had to book elsewhere! If we could give them 10 stars we would.

Our stay was the greatest that we had to extend a day. The property’s amenities is excellent and absolutely what we are looking for. The manager in concierge Miss Petra was very helpful in accommodating us. The Spa department staff were a precious find and so is the the supervisor in the restaurant could not recall his name but he is the tall guy who made sure that we were served ice cream of our chosen flavor one night. Highly recommended

Excellent rooms, great views of the ocean. Convenient to stores, ATM and local transportation. This is a resort hotel with a great breakfast and dinner included. Many waiters, live entertainment, etc. Spacious new rooms, pools, beach, several restaurants, message, hair stylist, etc.

Return visit to this lovely hotel

Love the position of this hotel.The village and bay of Slano are amongst the prettiest on this coastline. Hotel staff are not very attentive apart from Maria on hotel reception who is great and recognised us after 4 years since our last stay !
Breakfasts are disappointing and the coffee is dreadful but rooms and public areas are spotllessly clean. The beach is lovely and usually quiet however sunloungers are not very comfortable and the pool attendants never visit to check up on drink orders. Quality of food definitely needs improvement but some lovely restaurants are within walking distance. The best is Mirakul which never fails to please but needs prebooking.

Really great but has potential to be exceptional

The location is mesmerising which is probably why they get away with having unhappy staff, no table service beach side and beds that are not doubles but two large singles and not very comfortable. I love the view, the beach, the indoor and outdoor pool, think they need to make a bit more effort for it to be a real 5 star. They should get paddle boards and extra available trips. I think it is somewhere older generation goes to relax but it would make an awesome adults only resort for the child free younger couples. Shortage of good coffee and cocktails but good areas and restaurants around to go to.

Great hotel at the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Admiral Grand. It has a very sophisticated and modern interior and exterior design with great attention to every detail. It's quiet and peaceful with excellent spacious beach with great amenities and convenient access right outside the hotel. Easy access to towels and beach chairs.

The rooms are also spacious and very clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive. Very good breakfast bar with a wide variety of choices. Overall relaxing atmosphere perfect for a quiet and relaxing vacation getaway.

Highly recommended!

Super modern fairly priced and clean.

Overall it is a very modern, new, well maintained hotel.

Breakfast is first class and with all the western staples and a few Adriatic twists.

The beach is private, clean and quiet. Towel service is on point. There are always some free loungers and parasols to be found. Beach area is artificial tiny pebbles leading in to more natural pebbles and rocks and a quick drop into the deep dark bay.

The water is good enough for a swim but far from breath taking and crystal clear like in other places along the Croatian coast. This is to be expected in a serviceable bay.
Views of the bay especially at sunset are unique and picturesque.

The pools indoor and outdoor are clean and modern with plenty of loungers. We didn't spend any time by the pool as we are beach people.

The room we stayed in was the basic mountain view.
We ended up really liking being on the ground floor after being hesitant at first. You can jump out of one of the side doors and cut your travel time to the beach to seconds. Ground floor highly recommended. The beds and couch were comfortable, although the pillows were hard and lumpy made of the worst memory foam I've ever encountered.

Any of the staff I encountered were friendly and quick to help. However, not once were we approached on the beach for drinks as advertised. I am a big tipper when served right and let's just say those lazy servers missed out.

I recommend this hotel to families and couples. Singles steer well clear of Slano in general or you wil

Great hotel on beachfront

We were well looked after in this special and beautiful hotel in the village of Slano. Breakfast and dinner were included in the rates (half board option) and that is the option to select. An extensive buffet for both. Hotel is on a beautiful swimming beach and we had excellent views from our balcony and from the dining room. The outdoor and indoor pools were excellent. Entertainment most nights. Staff were excellent. Rooms are very good.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel itself is very nice. Advertising itself as five stars.

The staff and hotel policies however are not even close to the service standards of a five star. This is the only hotel we have ever stayed at that charges for ice. 30 Kunos for a small bag from the bar. Additionally they charged us for a juice from the minibar that we never used. We attempted to clear this up to no avail.

When we asked at the front desk regarding our dining choices in the hotel, they didn't want to talk to us until they had confirmed that we were a guest of the hotel (like we couldn't eat there if we weren't a guest?)The staff in the restaurants were very atte

The Hotels location along the sea with a pebble beach and good recreation (boating, jet ski, pool inside and outside was lovely. The room was average and the sheets were like sand paper. Was very disappointed with the food quality and price. There were not many restaurants in walking distance but the few there were much better in taste and price. Customer service in the spa was frustrating, reception was often unattended. We would have spent more money but there was never anyone around book treatments. Saw staff outside smoking and on the phone, but never at the desk. Overall, the Hotel itself was average, think I would book another hotel if we went back to Croatia. Overall I think I would give this 3 out of 5 stars..

Great relaxing holiday.

We had a fantastic, relaxing holiday. the hotel is a few steps from the beach, but aqua shoes are recommended. The hotel staff are fab, always very helpful and friendly. They were also helpful in arranging transfers to and from the airport. The spa treatments are worthwhile and very professionally executed. The hotel and its surroundings were exceptionally clean and all the staff work incredibly hard. The weather was really hot. We will return for another holiday here.

Great amenities, but...

The hotel is very nice. Beautiful facilities. Two pools and beach provide an excellent atmosphere for relaxation. The staff hustles, but they are not accommodating. Pool bar and food service shut down at 4pm. We found the best time to enjoy the pool was after 4pm. While you could still get drinks from the inside bar it was not easy. We had kids and inquired about getting food outside by the pool (6pm) and the staff was appalled by the request. They take their Buffett dinning room very serious even though the food was average at best. If you venture outside the hotel the food is terrible. We were surprised that they would not accommodate a simple request of food by the pool, especially considering they offered the service at lunch. We ended up getting room service. Because of that I would not recommend this hotel. Also the dinning room manager was very stern and very KGB. He yelled at our kids for dancing to music in the lobby and he yelled at someone in our party inquring about food because she was Ina bathing suit. This sort of service would not fly in the U.S. Overall, it was a nice hotel but I wouldn't go back.

Very nice new hotel. Reasonably priced, great pools, nice but rocky beach. Hotel rooms are well done but lack decoration. Not much in the town. Staff is Croatian and speak English well but are pretty cold to deal with.

Really comfortable Hotel, on seafront, able to swim in sea, outside pool or inside pool. Restaurant buffet style excellent quality food. Staff work hard to look after you very well. Drinks prices very reasonable. Jet ski, tennis etc. all available. Limited entertainment in Town, however. Efficient Hotel pick up from Dubrovnik airport. Would go again anytime.

Admiral grand hotel

My friend and I stayed at the admiral grand hotel for 4 days. Although the hotel is attractive and in good condition, it's facilities and not what they should be for a 5* hotel! They have only 1 main restaurant and a poolside restaurant that closes at 6pm. Therefore not a lot of choice. There are also only 2 outside restaurants nearby the hotel, that were ok but not of a high standard! Also the poolside bar/restaurant did not have a big seating area, and you were not allowed to order food at your Sun lounger, apart from pizzas... Which did not suit us. The hotel also did not offer room service, and at the buffet breakfast you were not even served coffee or tea... You had to get everything yourself, which often meant 2 or 3 trips back and forth to your table whilst you collected your breakfast, toast from the toaster, juice, and your hot drink. Whereas usually most restaurants will fetch your hot drinks for you, or place a pot of tea or coffee at your table. On a plus note, the staff were nice and helpful, and the hotel is nice looking. But it needs to up its service and facilities if it wants to be known as a 5* hotel!!

Great hotel for relaxation!

This hotel is 45 minutes from the airport. Hotel is in great location close to Dubrovnik and surrounding islands. It is located in small, picturesque village. Upon our arrival, we were met by very friendly staff immediately, they took us to our room - the best view is from the third floor. I would recommend this hotel for couples, families with small children, but not teenagers. This is very much hotel for relaxing, exactly what we were looking for.

Perfect short getaway

If you are looking for a short, relaxing getaway in the sun then this is ideal. The hotel is about an hour from the airport in a small town called Slano. If you are only interested in lying by the pool/beach, reading a book and eating then this place is ideal. You can take a trip into Dubrovnik via the local bus, which leaves from right outside the hotel and is very cheap (compared to taking a cab) and comfortable. I would advise taking a cab from the main bus station in Dubrovnik to the old town though. The Old town is well worth a visit - arrive early to avoid the hustle & bustle as it gets very busy. Overall, we spent 4 days/nights in the Admiral and after 3 days relaxing and one day exploring the Old town, it felt like we had been away for a week. It was a very stress free/hassle free trip.

Hotel lovely and clean, food repetitive (same buffet everyday) beautiful location. Most restaurant staff friendly but a few very miserable, reception staff need to have intense customer service training! Miserable to the point of being rude! Unhelpful and did not even say thank you for staying or goodbye on checkout, just handed a receipt with a blank, bored expression! Not good and definitely not 5* service!!

Very large hotel with friendly staff.

Requested a late check out but were charged 15 euro per hour. We needed 3 and a half hours but were charged for 4 which seemed a little steep. Transfers to Dubrovnik were also expensive and often unobtainable.

Nice hotel and big but without that big hotel feeling. Right on the beach and with two pools and jacuzzi. Free Internet only in the lobby which was a disappointment. It should have been provided in the room as well. We never tried the buffe at nights instead we went for alacarte menu. Food was ok only. Overall this is a four star hotel trying to be more but the ha to improve and look into the details to reach five stars. Nevertheless the atmosphere and location was very good and we had a nice week by the beach.

Great sea view. Lovely room. Good for a short break.

Didn't realise quite how off season it was when we went (Oct 2011). Bit like a ghost town, so didn't dine in restaurant as we'd have been alone and it looked expensive for what it was. Paid extra for sea view - worth every penny. Two buses to get from airport so decided to hire car as taxi extortionate. Staff were ok - we had to plead to eat breakfast outside (they said was too cold - we disagreed). Sauna not open as advertised (probably due to lack of numbers in the hotel, but this was not our fault). Had a lovely 3-night break, but would not go back as a bit characterless and the world is a big place. Rooms would benefit from extra pillows (only 1 each) & tea/coffee making facilities. Gravelly beach, but there are steps where you can swim in the sea without walking across the stones - great idea.

Site magnifique et hôtel très bien situé

Hôtel très cher et chambre très décevante à 250 euros la nuit
Nous avions une chambre minuscule pour un adulte et deux enfants avec vu sur un mur et le parking
Le lendemain nous avons, après une longue négociation obtenu une chambre, plus grande, avec vue sur le village et les montagnes.
Je trouve dommage qu'Exepdia n'ai pas vérifie la chambre qui nous a été attribuée
Le restaurant de l'hôtel est très cher et pas bon
Par contre, la plage de l'hôtel et les piscines, sont très bien et parfaitement entretenues
A Slano, à part la plage, il n'y a pas grand chose à faire. Les deux restaurants du village sont corrects. Avec une voiture, les possibilités sont intéressantes, nous avons aimé Mljet et Dubrovnik

Ett fantastisk hotell med alt av nødvendige fasiliteter for en rolig ferie.
Beligenhet rett ved havet, og i tillegg utvendig/innvendig basseng.

Buffet middagen var helt ok, men anbefaler også å teste resturantene i nærmiljøet.
Går buss til Dubrovnik som stoppet rett utenfor hotellet.

Hotellet er perfekt for en avslappende ferie. Det fremstår som nytt og ligger sentralt i landsbyen like ved vannet. Basseng inne og ute.
Hotellpersonalet er svært vennlige.
Det finnes frisørsalong på hotellet som har svært gunstige priser.

Bel hotel dans une très jolie baie

Bel établissement 5 étoiles dans une très jolie baie. La hauteur limitée du bâtiment est plutôt bien intégré dans le paysage, on a vu pire. Chambre confortable, assez bien insonorisé, serviettes de bain nombreuses et douces, chaque chambre comporte une petite terrasse, pratique pour faire sécher les maillots de bain. Un reproche concernant la taille de la TV plutôt petite quand à la taille de la chambre et au standing de l'hotel, et pas assez de chaines étrangères. Pour un 5 étoiles, une bouteille d'eau offerte dans la chambre en cadeau de bienvenu serait un plus. Belle décoration intérieure et extérieure, très jolie piscine (d'eau de mer) extérieure entourée de vignes qui courent sur des pergolas et d'oliviers. La plage toute proche comporte suffisamment de chaise longue pour tout le monde. Les serviettes de plage de couleur bleues qui ne sont pas ramenées après utilisation par une majorité de personnes ce que je regrette, et qui du coup ne sont pas ramassées par le personnel gâchent un peu le paysage. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est assez garni, mais peut-être pas assez de choix pour ceux qui préfèrent le sucré, la part belle est faite au salé.
Séjour de deux jours malgré tout très agréable avec en plus une superbe météo.

Bel hôtel malgré ..

Très bel hôtel, moderne, neuf, propre, marbré.

Très bon hôtel pour l'été: sur la plage, piscines couverte et d'extérieure.
Chambres propres et climatisés.
Dommage pour le quartier: pas grand chose, si ce n'est 2 ou 3 restos. Il faut avoir la voiture pour visiter les villes d'à coté. 2 semaines sur place, c'est long !

Gros point négatif: le service et le manque de sympathie de l'équipe. Peu souriant et peu serviable au restaurant.
De la malhonnêteté également: on nous place dans une chambre vue sur la montagne au RDC, alors que nous avions réservé une chambre avec vue sur la mer (dont le différentiel de cout n'est pas négligeable!). Selon l'équipe de l'hôtel, c'est \"normal\", il faut se pencher du balcon pour apercevoir le sable de la mer (Waouh!). Nous avons ainsi passé quelques jours dans cette chambre avant d'être déplacé, et nous n'avons pas eu de réduction. Nous avons payé ces 2 jours au prix de la vue sur mer.

Hyvä hotelli, mutta kaukana viidestä tähdestä

Hotelli oli oikein siisti ja sijainti rauhallinen. Näin ollen se sopi täydellisesti rentoutuslomaan. Allasalue ja ranta olivat hyvässä kunnossa. Valitettavasti kuitenkin hotellin henkilökunta puhui todella huonoa englantia ja palvelu oli todella heikkoa. Viiden tähden hotellissa kuvittelisi saavaan palvelua koko ajan ja että pienistäkin asioista huolehditaan. Nyt tuntui lähinnä siltä, että olimme tiellä jos esim. menimme allasbaarissa tilaamaan juomaa tai pyysimme apua aurinkotuolien kanssa. Tarjoilijoita tarvittiin myös neljä paikalle, ennenkuin he ymmärsivät, että tilaamme toastit. Hotellin kuntosali oli todella heikko esitys, en suosittele treenaajille.

Modern und kalt.

Es war sehr kalt. Ich meine das Hotel und speziell das Personal. So kalt, unfreundlich und interessenlos wie nirgendwo! Wir fühlten uns fast unerwünscht!!!
Wir hatten Zimmer mit Frühstuck und das Essen war ok, aber auch nichts als das.
Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel nicht weiter.
Unter Fünf Sterne Hotel verstehen wir was anderes.
