Nice Budget Hotel

Overall Hotel was good. Nice cozy rooms but i think its somewhat old hotel. Bathroom was clean but a bit small. Breakfast was average.People in reception are very nice and polite. We stayed there for 3 days in october.For that price and location its acceptable.

It would have been more appropriate if the hotel was rated as 2 or 3-star hotel instead of 4-start on the Orbitz website. there were broken/cracked furniture, bathroom sink, rusted door frames around the building. The bar area was used as storage filled with boxes and bags and old furniture. The breakfast was very good though and the location appeared to be safe but in a very busy and crowded part of the city. the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. The rooms were kept clean daily.

It should be 3* The bathroom are very dirty looking, breakfast is the same very day basic, towels are browsing looking not white and bed sheets was not charged for five days of stay. Very disappointed, wouldn't recommend.

Overall the stay was fine other than the cleaners coming way too early or not cleaning at all. The breakfast was ok not much of a range for a turkish hotel. The location is very busy at times and there are plenty of food places.

There is no way this hotel ever had 4 stars, it is a no-star budget hotel in a noisy street, the room had a kettle but no glasses or coffee or anything to use with the kettle. Half the furniture was falling apart.
The rooms are cramped and old.

The continental breakfast is basic but adequate, their soup was quite good.

It's fine if you need nothing more than a place to sleep.

The Hotel was not busy as it was during COVID but felt empty with many lights off, the bathroom door had been kicked in damage & the heating was poor, lots of road noise & no kettle facilities in the room for a 500 lira per night room was quite disappointing with a lacklustre room with no headboards

The room was spacious and had a nice view of the Bosporus. The pillows were uncomfortable at first but we found softer ones in the closet and asked that they be replaced. Water kept leaking from the toilet's sewage. The bidet kept dripping water every couple of minutes, especially noisy when trying to sleep. The bed sheets were being changed every two to three days while the bed covers haven't been changed for four days. In addition, the room as whole wasn't being properly cleaned. So we contacted the hotel's management in the afternoon. Their response was that housekeeping leaves around noon and their is nothing they can do except changing our room. They moved us to a clean room free of any of the aforementioned problems, albeit it was way less spacious and on the backside of the hotel were noisy people from the street kept shouting till around 3 A.M. So the next day we requested to move back to our old room after being cleaned but they had already given it to someone else.

Was pleasant the breakfast is not that delicious , but ok . all the staff were friendly only one person from the reception the last night who refused that my brother would come up to my room ? needed a lot of discussions to convince him that he will not stay and sleep in my room but we were discussion family plans for a short time before we check out the same day.

Clear Convenience

Needing a couple nights near the Yenikapı docks with quick access to Sultanahmet, this place filled the bill. Cheap and adequate, with no real demerits, it's maybe 50 meters off Atatürk Blvd and an easy downhill walk and crossing to get to the ferry boat docks.

The Hilarium has a nice facade, but is really just a common 3-Star hotel sandwiched in among a number of similar places: clean, quiet, and reasonable, apparently catering to tour groups. Double-glazed windows keep it quiet, but I had to open them to keep cool: don't know how it'd be in summer. It is also on a dark and crowded little side-street, where parking would appear a futile cause. Rooms are small but clean, with two narrow twin beds, in-line with Turkish standards. The breakfast buffet is ample, and well-presented, but it hasn't any hot menu items, just the standard breads, fruits, cheeses, boiled eggs etc. It you want the necessities and nothing more, this will do nicely.

There are many authentic tradesman restaurants, and other local eats and services in this working-mans neighborhood. This is not a glossy area at all, rather having a down-by-the-docks feel, and some may think it unsafe here. I did not, and don't think it is, but the streets are dark and crowded, and there are clearly a lot of immigrants and stragglers loitering about.

Totally disappointing experience

On arrival we were told that they were having water and air conditioning issues. Moved us across the street to a less desirable property they owned. We asked for assistance to a local restaurant for dinner. They charged us for a driver who took us and then abandoned us there in a less than desirable neighborhood. The restaurant manager helped find us alternate transportation back to the hotel. The hotel refused to reimburse us for the non delivery of service. I believe they lied to us about the water and air problems. The next morning there was a large group waiting outside the hotel to start a tour of the city. Don't think they would have stayed on the property if they were having those kinds of issues there. I presume they oversold the property and we got the short straw. We had a full day tour scheduled the next day which made it inconvenient to move around for our last night’s stay. I believe the management is less than reputable and would not recommend staying there.

Advertised as a triple room, in reality two beds and a sofa, overall the hotel appears dated and in need of modernisation. Use of the Sauna/Spa was an additional cost which wasn't clear when booking (Pool was included but after first visit where we were made to feel an intrusion we didn't use again). Breakfast was good and contained a good range of options.

I stayed at this hotel with my friend for 5 days and I enjoyed it.free fast wifi, breakfast wasn't fantastic,clean rooms too. But the cleaner has a bad habit of bumping into d room without waiting for u to confirm. And we arrived at 5am the day we came and were forced to pay €40 extra for early check in, otherwise we sit and wait till 12noon. Even when they had free rooms. That was a very bad service.

The staff was very friendly and helpfull.
We had flight very early morning, we thought that we will be missing the breakfast very unspectatly saw the front desk staff have already had sandwiches for us.

Also we got 4 hours early check in.

Other service are also available such as, Istanbul trip booking, around Turkey trip advise and directing to best travel agencies and your guides.
Overall so pleasent with thier services and recommend this to anyone traveling to Istanbull.

The breakfasts were not appetising - bread rolls, cakes, cheese, meat etc was cut up into very small portions; the food was constantly running out at the buffet and was not replenished for a long time. There was a bar which served drinks in the evening, but the low light was near to darkness and very unwelcoming. There were large groups of guests staying at the hotel; they were noisy in their rooms, the corridors and in the lounge. When we needed help because we had been taken ill at the end of our stay, the staff were very unhelpful and just turned us out at midday. We would not recommend this hotel on account of the staff, the food and the general environment.

Close to subway (5 min walking) and close to other hotels (2 and 3 star style). Not really far from airport (taxi 35 Turkish Lira, less then 20 euros). Once you leave the hotel and get to main avenue do not turn left towards sea (dangerous). Small bathroom, window with view to a corridor, lot of noise from other rooms (like shower and talks). Breakfast regular. To be honest, you could stay a few days if you are just sleeping there. Otherwise, go to hotel close to sightseeings. Empty and no working fridge. AC awfull.

We booked this hotel because of the swimming pool / leisure centre but the pictures on the website are very misleading. The pool is tiny and cold - more of a plunge pool. The 'gym' is a few machines by the side of the pool and the whole thing is not inviting or relaxing - not helped by the washing machine at the side of the pool. The hotel is a few stops on the tram from the centre of the old town and in the red light area - neither of which would have bothered us if it had a good leisure centre but if booking again I would go for somewhere closer to the old town.

The pictures represented by the hotel are very misleading. The room was very small, as well as the shower in the bathroom. The refridgerator did not keep anything cool. We might as well have left our water and juice on the desk. The website says that there is internet access, yet you were only able to get a very poor signal in the lobby only. You had to search for a signal as if you were searching for a cell phone signal. It was very inconvenient. And if you stay there for more than one night, don't expect them to clean your room thoroughly.

We stayed at the Grand Hilarium Hotel for 5 days and had a very pleasant experience. The room was comfortable and the staff was always kind and helpful. Considering the price we paid, the room was convenient, adequate, and always clean. The hotel’s location is excellent, close to several public transportation options, making it easy to get around and also easy to reach from the airport by metro.
The breakfast is not very varied, but it offers several sweet and savory options.
Overall, we recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good room in Istanbul.

Das Zimmer war nicht zauber Das Badezimmer völlig verkalkt.
Fenster sind undicht. Kaum Ruhe im Zimmer, was zum Hauptproblem führt: der Lärmbelastung. Selbst bei geschlossenem Fenster hört man Straßenlärm und Stimmen sehr deutlich

Personnel normal , la géolocalisation est au milieu des bazars et les monuments célèbres a visités , mais ceux qui n'aiment marcher prendront les transports.
Nous avions pris un hôtel avec piscine ,pour pouvoir nous relaxer après les marches en pleine chaleurs ( début août ). les horaires étant : 10 h/18 h ? Impossible d'en profité .
Les horaires devraient être spécifiée sur le site ... les touristes visitent , et donc sont absents en journées ...

Todo muy lindo, el spa es una mentira, está todo el día cerrado. Pedí q me lo abrieran pero no encienden sauna ni baño turco. La piscina está en un 2do subsuelo y sin climatizar. Un fiasco. No lo vendan como Soa si no ofrecen el servicio después
