It is central near Palais Royal , but rue de Richelieu has massive road work and is closed for traffic 8am to
4 pm , which mean that you have to carry your luggage from where the cab will drop you

The Golden Tulip was a lovely conveniently located boutique hotel with wonderful service. The staff recommended excellent restaurants within walking distance and arranged for a shuttle to the airport. The Louvre is just a couple blocks away. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel located in the city center, walking distance to visit many places. But the room is very small, shower room with no shower curtain, water sprays everywhere inside the bathroom while taking shower. Breakfast is poor. We didn’t see any stars related to this hotel compared price we paid

A nice quaint hotel within walking distance of the Louvre and the Grand Opera plus more. Lots of nearby restaurants and Cafes so plenty of things to see and do.

The location between the Louvre and L'Opera and just behind the Jardin des Palais Royal were ideal. The hotel staff, especially MANON and JOSEPH, were especially friendly and helpful and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Excellent breakfast too!. Will be happy to return any time. Highly recommended!

We arrived at this property on April 3rd. There is massive construction in front of the hotel. In some cases you can’t drive up to it. The hotel room was warm. We tried to use the AC as advertised and were told that they did not turn it on yet. Only option was open the windows which allowed for a ton of noise in the room. Left us with three sleepless nights. We asked Expedia for help and were told that the hotel did not offer anything. they did provide us with a voucher for a free night stay at a later date which I will never use. Unfortunate 3 nights at this place. Otherwise it’s a cute small hotel

A Disappointing and Sleepless Stay

I wish I had a better experience to share, but unfortunately, my stay was far from enjoyable.

Misleading Amenities & Lack of Air Conditioning:
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was because it listed air conditioning as an amenity. However, they failed to mention that the A/C is seasonal and only turned on at the hotel's discretion. Since it was off during our stay, our room became unbearably hot.

Noise & Disruptions:
With no A/C, we had no choice but to open the windows for some relief. This led to two major issues:

Street Noise & Smoke: The hotel is located in a busy area, and with the windows open, we were bombarded with loud traffic, people shouting, and even cigarette smoke drifting into our room from outside.

Construction Chaos: To make matters worse, major road construction was happening right outside. Starting at 6 AM sharp, the relentless jackhammering, excavators, and beeping from heavy machinery made it impossible to sleep.

Had the A/C been functioning, we could have kept the windows closed, blocking out the heat and much of the disruptive noise. Additionally, the hum of an air conditioner might have provided some white noise to drown out the racket outside.

Complete Exhaustion & Ruined Trip:
After multiple sleepless nights, we were completely exhausted, which ruined our entire trip. Instead of enjoying our vacation, we were miserable and drained, barely able to function due to the lack of rest.

This hotel is perfectly located - super close to the Louvre (7 min walk), the opera, shopping, restaurants, etc. It’s on a quiet street so there was no noise from traffic. The breakfast was terrific - eggs, assortment of breads, avocado, cereals, cheeses, yogurt, fruit, etc. The staff were all helpful and polite especially the breakfast staff. The rooms are clean - they have Nespresso machines in each room.

This is a private owned hotel that has elevator and air conditioner. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights through Expedia: 1 with double beds and a bunk bed, 1 with a bunk bed and queen size bed. They're clean and walking distance to some major attractions but all rooms are small. I had to wait after 3pm to remind the receptionist who is nice and helpful, to clean and bring some towels on the second day. These rooms were expensive then more expensive adding tax and fees.

Staying at this hotel was a very pleasant experience. It is at a perfect location for walking to so many great sites in Paris. The Louvre is literally a few minutes away. The Tuilleries, L'Orangerie, D'Orsay are just a bit farther. Bateaux and the Ile de la Cite and all its attractions are a reasonable walk as well. The many restaurants in the area.

The hotel facility is well kept, the rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, the staff is very helpful. They offer a nice breakfast for a reasonable price. The only criticisms I have is that the water pressure in the shower was low and the internet was very slow.

Cancelled flight,didn’t use hotel and no refund

My flight from DC to Paris was cancelled. I gave the hotel a days notice before I was set to check in and told them I would not be able to stay at the hotel due to reasons out of my control. They knew when I was scheduled to return to the US and they offered to change my check in date, but only offered a date beyond the timeframe of my trip. They made no exceptions for a refund even know I was in communication immediately when I found out my flight had been cancelled. They efforts to make a good faith gesture of a refund, which I am entitled to. I will never refer anyone to this place ever again.

For me the rue de Richelieu is the perfect positioning to stay. This is one of two comfortable hotels that I book in the street. This is cheaper, which governed my choice this time. Good breakfast room with only continental but that’s fine. I was upgraded to a four poster bed so that made me feel special! The wireless internet connection definitely was slow, unfortunately

The location is amazing but this hotel could be so much better, especially given the price and the four star rating. The hotel in general needs updating, the carpet in the room looked decades old and the blankets and towels have seen their day. The wifi is HORRIBLE, doesn’t really work.

They’re really missing the opportunity to be a chic and cute hotel.

Yes hotel is in a great spot but for 3 singke people to stay not a goid spot
The hotel had not reading the boiking properly and although Wotif dpoke with the hitel directly befor the bookibg was made instead of 3 single beds we had a queen and some sorr of camp bed with a fiam mattress it toik 2 days for it to be fixed but 2 of the 3 still had to share the queen bed. We got free breakfast for the days we were there

Whoever decided to locate the coffee pot in the closet and the nearest outlet near the floor under the desk, and then put a two foot cord on the pot, must have had a wingspan of 8 feet! Very impractical to have to slide the desk out from the wall and get down on the floor to plug in the pot. We mentioned this to the clerk and he could offer no better solution.

The Golden Tulip Hotel Washington Opera was, for the most part, very nice. I can't say enough good about the staff; they were all so helpful and friendly. Our issue at check-in with no crib reserved for 1 of our 3 rooms was taken care of quickly by Sylvia.
Our beds were not as seen in the picture on the website. One was queen-sized, and the other was very small, almost a toddler-sized bed. Two twins would have been fine, although the queen bed was very nice and comfortable.
The bath sheets were very good, as were the toiletries. I thought the glasses turned upside-down and placed directly on the bathroom sink was unsanitary!

Location was great, it is definitely not four stars. The room was dusty, carpet old and stained, bed uncomfortable and shower hard to get into because you have to get into bath. The staff were courteous, the foyer gives you lovely impression but as soon as you get to elevator it's downhill from there.

Hotel clean and in a nice location, our room, ground floor at the back was quiet apart from theatre closing time and then it was just people chatting for 10 mins.
Air con worked. Shower good hot and powerful.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing for the price, but, on a par with any other hotel.
Shower head holder/mount was loose so shower head often moved around whilst showering.
Internet speed, dreadful. Fine for checking email but if you need it for work take your own 4G.
Overall though, positive, would happily stay again.

Wonderful, the front desk attendance \" Wally\" was the best person we ever met in Paris, was so helpful , and gracious, made our stay perfect. The whole service team was great, and our rooms where great , clean, and the hotel in general was so Parisian and very central to get around town, and the breakfast perfect.

Cannot get a better location.

Location. Just outside front door, Secret \"cut through\" Royal Palais Gardens gets you to Love in about 8 minutes. regular walk on street 12 minuteles. From there you can take the Metro anywhere in Paris. Only negative about this hotel, I would pass on the Continental breakfast for 15 Euro, way over priced. Staff is excellent.
