Staff was very nice and helpful, it was near the Louvre, and within 20 min by tram and walking for basically everything else. It was also very affordable, so the things I’ll list as downsides I kind of think as worth it still. For example, the shower was so small I had to shave my legs standing outside it, and the street was crazy loud even though nothing was open. It felt like it was constant garbage truck type noise. It didn’t bother me, it’s my version of white noise, but I know it would probably bother someone who didn’t grow up under an airport flight path, so I’m mentioning it.

the front desk receptionist acted like i was imposing on her time. zero sensibility for customer service. the room was teeny tiny. my window faced a building wall. it felt like a prison cell. i did everything to avoid being there. i know this is 3star hotel and didnt expect anything crazy but i will not be staying here again. location was good.

Great location in central Paris, room was clean and bathroom was recently renovated. Staff were helpful and would recommend staying here, very useful for exploring Paris on foot and metro station is also 3 minutes away. Very happy with the stay

The room itself was clean and well presented, which I appreciated. However, I could frequently hear the sound of water being flushed or drained from neighbouring rooms. It didn’t ruin my stay, but I imagine this could bother many guests who are light sleepers.

It's decent for a three star hotel with basic amenities. The hotel doesn't have a functioning AC so there's no ventilation. Luckily it's winter so we opened the windows to air the room. The heaters are working though quite weak. The walls and ceiling are thin. You can hear your neighbours.
Location is good. We didn't opt for the hotel breakfast as there are quite a good number of cafes nearby.

Rooms were NOISY as in you could hear noise from the other rooms, door “slamming” closing, etc… Also too much noise from the elevator. I personally will never come back here and if I did it’s only because of the closeness to Palais Royal and the metro. Also the staff were very helpful. Just really the noise and terrible views. I’m sure people on the opposite side of the hall might have had better views but there is only 7 rooms on each floor so it’s very likely you get the bad view

This a nice hotel close to the Palais Royal garden and the Louvre. I was able to move from here anywhere in Paris. My room has a nice view but I would recommend you take in consideration the size of the bathrooms. I am a 5’ 6”, 200 pound guy and had a hard time taking a shower. If you drop the soap you can’t pick it up, no joke. Anyways nice hotel, good staff.

Cute location, cute building, plenty to see and do right there in the neighborhood but still easy to get to the main sights of Paris. The water dispenser in the bistro was a lifesaver in the heat of summer! Small rooms (average for a major European city) but the space is utilized very well.

The location and staff were great. The hotel is walking distance from all the key sights. The neighbourhood is safe and there is a lovely restaurant next door.
Unfortunately, the room was smaller than expected. Breakfast was disappointing. When we arrived the scrambled was cold and not replaced. The yoghurts seemed to have been out of thr fridge for a while as they were barely cold. Not great value for money.

Perfect location for a few days in Paris. Very walkable and just a beautiful neighborhood. We loved the view from our room, the beds were very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was wonderful, front desk staff was wonderful, and the hotel is beautiful. We would definitely stay again, even just for the location. Ten minute walk to Les Halles, the metro, and 10/15 minutes max to the Seine and the Louvre. Carrefour City is a few blocks away for convenience store needs, and some very nice cafes all around.

Nice room. friendly staff. was surprised at not being able to get any ice, and as it was cold the 1st day there was no heat available in the room a they turn all heat off on May 1st. When I stated I didn't think I could stay in room with no heat the did bring up a portable heater, which we really appreciated. Staff also very helpful with giving us directions and recommending places to eat. etc.

The room was on the smaller size, but it was perfect for my husband and I. We used the room to sleep, we were too busy exploring Paris. The employees were simple amazing. They were helpful, kind and made us feel like we were welcome. The area is safe and close (walking) to a lot of the larger attractions of Paris. We would definitely stay here again, next time we are in Paris.

The location is as good as it gets. The front desk staff iare ncredible, but I would not trust the cleaning staff. as in any hotel use the safe for keeping your valuables safe including chargers!!
One of the cleaning staff took mine, but returned it to me after they were done using it. There are no washcloths in the bathrooms. Which I found a little odd

Unfortunately, Timhotel Palais Royal fell far short of expectations. The room was not as advertised: it was small, dusty, and a bit dirty, with nasty carpeting that felt unkempt. The pillows were so thin they barely deserved the name, offering no comfort whatsoever. The so-called \"view\" was nothing more than an internal hallway with no natural light, making the room feel dark and claustrophobic. Overall, a disappointing experience.

Bathrooms are always small in Europe but this was really small and dark. Shower didn't drain well and sliding door to bathroom made a horrible noise. A lot of noise from other rooms compared to our other stays in Europe. Staff was very polite and friendly.

The hotel was conveniently placed for going to the Louvre ( book before you go and queue) we had a nice clean room. The bath didn’t drain so easily our only issue. The room was tended to daily. It was noisy outside in the morning, nothing anyone could do about that but if it’s an issue for you beware.

Warm reception with a very helpful receptionist.
Unfortunately, we were put on the ground floor (room 001). We were offered a twin room instead of a double, but we didn't mind either way. If it was explained we were on the ground floor I definitely would have agreed to be put in a twin room.
I did not and could not sleep. There was work going on and moving things around all night. There was no consideration for us in the room.
When breakfast was being served from 6am that was all I could hear too.
I found this really sad as I was so excited for this hotel. Absolutely beautiful area and the website showed lovely rooms. We just didn't get to experience it.
Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. It was a special access room so the bathroom was really big.

So to begin with this property is an AMAZING location central to everything. The staff was wonderful, and the neighborhood was incredible, so historic and lovely. Next door there is a FABULOUS little French restaurant called the Bouganville, we LOVED it and the staff. There is a BEAUTIFUL passage next door as well, we LOVED.

Now let me tell you the negatives, when people wrote the showser is small, they weren't lying! It is TINY!!! and DANGEROUS! it is like a foot off the floor and I swear it was awful to get out everyday. We traveled with my 91 year old dad and it was a nightmare for 5 days!

The room is super small which wasn't a problem it was the shower. The hotel is VERY clean and very cute but the shower KILLS it. To make matters worse they charged us for breakfast everyday which was ok since we ate everyday (it was good) EXCEPT one day I did't eat AND the day we checked out at 6am (breakfast starts at 7am)..... I unfortunately didn't check my bill (half asleep) to see they had overcharged me 40E. I emailed them later that day and I still haven't heard back. (totally unprofessional).
This hotel has amazing qualities but the bathroom and the lack of responding to my email for my 40E, has me super disappointed. Would not stay again and would NOT recommend.

Pro:The location is excellent. The Louvre is within walking distance. There are lots of food options around the area. The room is clean. The front staff Peter is super friendly and helpful. Cons: Room is too small for 2 people. The shower can barely fit a120 lb, 5’1 female. I keep on bumping my elbows on the wall. I booked a double bed with city view, but the view is only walls. However Peter is super nice, it made our stay okay.

The hotel is not what the pictures on the website describe. The bathroom facilities are particularly very small with a child size shower only.

With no bar fridge in the room, you could not make tea or coffee and relied on the coffee shop on the corner near the hotel.

The hotel was clean and location was great! But I would find a hotel with more facilities in the area next time.

If location is your criteria, this hotel will work for you. 5 min walk to the metro snd 10 min walk to the Louvre. That was the only plus!

Rooms are too small and bathrooms are tiny. There is no place to keep your luggage and even your clothes in the bathroom when you shower. Sink is tiny, counter just enough to put a couple of toiletries. No charging points by the bedside for your phone. Side tables are literally 2x2. We were 2 adults and a kid and the room was more like a tight fit for 2, for get 3. Elevator is tiny, if you have luggage, one one person can get in. Very disappointing giving the room rate.

Location is definitely one of the best aspects of this hotel. Approximately a 10 minute walk to the Louvre and several metro stations. Staff were very nice and someone was always at the front desk. Unfortunately the rooms have very thin walls and you can hear doors closing (or slamming) at all hours. The rooms with the big windows and a balcony are also extremely noisy as the windows don’t make for great sound barriers for all the street traffic. Rooms were basic however stocked appropriately.

We stayed four nights in early June 2023 after booking our triple room several months ago. On arrival we learned that the lobby was under a major renovation and not at all useable. Some construction and hammering could be heard in our third floor room. Room was a tight fit but clean and comfortable with nice street views. Beds only came with a heavy comforter which was too warm even with AC on high, a sheet would have been a nice option. There was some street noise at night but not terribly loud. Breakfast and coffee was provided for the hotel by the cafe next door which was very nice. Staff was always helpful and welcoming. The hotel was central to everything, we were able to walk to everything within 25-55 minutes. This is a reasonably good starter hotel for Paris, probably will be a little better with the lobby complete.

Pictures dont match property, bed sheets were broken and so were the curtains. pubic hairs all over bed sheets. Felt like we walked into a haunted house or really old motel. We walked out in two hours because it wasnt bearable. they wearen't going to give a refund but it didnt matter, it just wasnt possible to sleep there. more like a 1 star hotel, not 3. I use expedia a lot so wanted to share an honest opinion so it doesnt happen to others.

Stuck outside for a while in the middle of night

Very small room (difficult to shower...), noisy elevator (it sounds like construction works on the street but in your brain...) , paper walls (sharing is caring, we know what the neighbours were talking about...), moving bed... and expect that you have to spend a part of the night in front of the door if the receptionist having a nap in front of the TV in his room and not able to wake up for door bell and telephone either..... and the receptionist will try to convince you that 10-15 minutes is not the end of the world at 3am in the morning. All this for luxury price!!

Perfect location, within walking distance of of most attractions. Very comfortable king size bed and friendly staff that made us very welcome. Good breakfast but my booking with hotels.com stated double bedroom with city view and had air conditioning units as a view!
Reception explained that they do not guarantee the view so hotels.com misleading. It did not matter at the end as we did not spend much time in the room and enjoyed our stay and the location compensated for the view.

Our experience with Palais Royal Timhotel couldn't have been better! The staff was professional, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely, with large windows that opened to a quiet street below. Although available coffee in the lobby most hours would have been wonderful, everything else about our stay was excellent. If we're ever lucky enough to return to Paris, we'd stay here again!
