Room was small, but comfortable. Watch your toes when youre in the washroom as there is a door stopper on the floor that would love to break one or two of them! Washroom is really small for a 4 star hotel.

What interaction we had with staff was courteous and efficient.

The bed was like sleeping on cement. My friends and I agreed these were the worst beds in Europe and the UK. No amenities at this hotel. Rooms are Ok but overall very old hotel.

The bed was like sleeping on cement. It was unbearably hard. My friend in another room agreed. Doesn’t matter about anything else if you can’t actually sleep. I will never stay at a Paris Mercure again. Oh, I have slept on hard mattresses before in europe but this literally was unbearable and the hardest ever!

The hotel was great, and different than American hotels in the states. The room was clean, and quiet. The street is quiet and very close to a main street filled with places to eat and shop. Taking a right from the hotel you are around 15 minutes in walking distance to the Louvre Museum. Taking a left you are close to the metro and taxi stand. The staff was friendly and helpful with getting me a taxi to the airport. We had twin beds. The toilet was in a small closet size room. The sink and bathtub shower combo was in a different room and had more space.We stayed 4 nights and did not experience any problems.

Very convenient location, multiple metro lines just a block away. 15 min walk to shopping areas like Galeries Lafayette and scenic areas like Jardin Royale. Lots of dining options around. Older boutique hotel with cozy rooms but provided bathrobes and slippers and all toiletries. Beds were hard but I found it comfortable.

The hotel is a 5/10 minute walk from Lafayette and right by a metro station. The rooms are rather small but the bathroom facilities are modern albeit basic. Our room looks into someone else’s rooms so there is no privacy without the shades being drawn.

My room was painfully small. Because o where it was located, two beams were sloped in the room, making about half of the floor unusable. No counter space in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was supposed to be included in the reservation, but either the property or the travel agent made an unfortunate change.

When we first arrived at the hotel we were surprised to see it was completely covered in scaffolding, meaning all the windows were covered over. Whilst this wasn’t a massive problem, it was annoying that the hotel hadn’t informed us that it would be like that as we were hoping for a nicer appearance.
The staff were helpful and spoke good English, except when it came to breakfast the options were limited and there was no staff circulating the breakfast room, meaning it was impossible to ask any questions.
Our room was perfect for a one night stay and we didn’t have any problems with it. Overall the hotel was fine for one night but for any longer it wouldn’t have been as good.

Good time with my daughter and friends,

We stay in Standard room for 4 nights. It easy to go every where the night time also easy to find nice restaurants around, can walk to the Louvre and do some shopping. After you tried to visit can take taxi came back hotel inside Paris about 7-15 Euro. The reception very helpful for me and my Daughter. If I go back to Paris I return to stay there.

Nice hotel. Really Close to everything.

Everything was easily walk able. Staff were excellent. The room was really clean and bed was super comfortable. Shower was excellent.
Only thing if I was super picky is the Air conditioning needs an upgrade but only noticed it because it was super hot at this time of year.

Amazing location 10-15 minutes walk from the Louvre, Tuileries Garden and Seine River. There’s great little breakfast/brunch places particularly ‘Sunday in Soho’ which has freshly roasted coffee and amazing food just in the next street. Staff at the hotel were exceptional!

Only complaint is the beds are a little firm. Room size is typical of Paris being small, but that’s part of the experience.

Overall, we had a great stay!

I was unable to change my reservation from Mercure Paris opera Louvre to Mercure Charles de Gaulle Airport. It was extremely frustrating. it was due to a train strike and a forced change of transportation due to a train strike. It was also with at least 48 hours notice of our return July 9th visit.

If location is important to you stay here

This hotel is all about location. 30 seconds from the Richelieu-Drouot metro stop, it is easy to make connections at the next metro stop (1 min away) - Opera. In addition, the Roissybus stops at Opera making for a fast and cheap trip from CDG to the hotel (12 euros). Last, the Louvre and Tuileries Garden is within 15 min walking distance.

However, everything else was below expectations:
1.The beds were like sleeping on wooden boards...so uncomfortable I used bathroom towels to make it bearable and at times considered sleeping on the floor instead.
2. There was a hole in the ceiling and you could see up into the attic, which made the room impossible to climate control - was either very hot or cold.
3. The shower leaked creating a puddle of water in the bathroom. When alerted to the problem, the hotel staff did fix the next day, however I think it is kind of ridiculous to have a leaking shower at all.
4. The bedroom window curtain was hanging off the rod on the right side and I was unable to attach it.
5. They ran out of shampoo 3x the week I was there and tried to tell me that body wash is shampoo and not the small bottle that I was originally given marked with shampoo.
6. The shared hotel computer was out of order 6 of the 7 nights of my stay.
7. The breakfast buffet attendant told me that breakfast was included in the room rate on the first day, but found out the next from a different employee that it actually was 19 euros (and the food was not so good).

Whilst this lovely little gem isn’t quite the Ritz, you’re not paying for the Ritz. The location is amazing, the staff are lovely and it’s safe, clean and comfy. It’s the perfect stop off for a weekend spent exploring this beautiful city! <3

The hotel is within walking distance to the Louvre (appr. 15 minutes) so you are very centrally located. The standard room that I had was small but then that is normal for Paris. Condition of the room was good with comfy bed. Road noise is very noticeable and if you are a light sleeper like me it might keep you from getting a good night sleep. Bathroom is very small also but does the job. Towels are a bit thin and worn it seemed to me. Like so many hotels in Paris the lift is the smallest thing you will ever see and if you are in a hurry you better take the stairs as it is extremely slow. Breakfast is very basic for the additional EUR15 I paid. I would not stay here again.

Overall the stay was alright, the cleanning lady was awesome, however two of thefront staff that we had to deal with were horrible and disrwspectful, while the other staff were nice.
The rooms are nice, and small.
I would suggest not to order food from there is not that good, and definitely not worthed for that price. There are many restaurants around there.

Our stay was great! The hotel staff is friendly and multi-lingual, so check in was easy. We were a bit early but our room was ready and they got us all setup very fast.

While the rooms are giant, they are nice, and the hotel is quiet. A great option!

Paris is expensive ... Went to Paris for pre-wedding photoshoot. Hotel fully booked everywhere, found last few rooms in Mercure Opera Paris but very expensive for the room and bedding size. Location is good as it is nearby everywhere and nearby the photoshoot location.

Lovely hotel. Close to the Opera. Walking distance to lots of very good non touristy restaurants.
The room was very comfortable, quite large by French standards. The only negative comment was that the bathroom could have done with an upgrade. The grouting was coming away from the tiles and there was a bit of mound down the side of the shower screen. They forgot to put shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom but apparently everyone had the same problem so could be a cost cutting decision. Overall would definitely stay again.

Within walking distance of many attractions, cafes and shopping. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was a little too firm for my liking but the room was incredibly clean. Didn't hear noises from busy street traffic or other guests. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Mercure Paris Opera Louvre is a small, comfortable hotel a short walk from the metro, shops and major attractions. Whilst the rooms are small, they are well appointed with everything that you need for a short stay in Paris. Some rooms on the 5th floor have a small balcony.

The hotel was clean, centrally located and styled in a basic way, and very accessible - similar to most Premier Inns in the UK. However, this comes across more as a 4* hotel rather than a 3* as you get what you pay for but few premium services: the hotel was understaffed and we always had to wait at least 5-10minutes to speak to someone, one of the staff member's badges indicated that she spoke English but actually could barely be understood - it was easier for her to speak French to us!, and breakfast is adequate but was not sufficiently topped up. It's ok value, and it was an ok stay, but I don't think I would return for a couples' trip but maybe with friends.

Walking distance to shopping, museums and a Metro is close by. The Louvre is walking distance as well as the shops at Blvd. Haussmann. Affordable restaurants are close by - Japanese, Pakistani, etc. Several fast food chains are close by.
