Arrived to a dirty room. Balls of hair and dust in the bedroom and bathroom. Hairs in the ‘clean’ folded towels. Dust all over surfaces. Very noisy. An infuriating electronic doorbell sound could be heard from my room. Paid extra for a bath but the plug didn’t actually hold the water in the bath.

Charming, Compact, and Convenient

Overall, an ok small hotel. The beds and pillows are on the hard side. There is a brown liquid coming off the shelves, spilling on the floor of the bathroom, which made it an unsightly and untidy sight. The staff at the front desk are pleasant and helpful to a certain extent.

Great hotel, great location, small rooms

The hotel is very nice, but the rooms were quite small. As we were on a longer vacation and this was our first stop, we had big suitcases and there wasn’t really any room for them. The hotel itself is in a great location and has great staff; the staff was attentive and fantastic.

Small boutique hotel in a great location by Opera at a reasonable price.
Dont expect all the lavish trimmings and facilities of a large hotel but it’s a great place to stay and they provide all the essentials in the room.
Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.
Staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Didn’t use the conjoined little restaurant but it was packed which is a good sign!
Great value for a place to stay in Paris.

The hotel is very well located for the Palais Garnier Opera House. It has a thriving and attractive coffee shop on the ground floor. Our first room 42 was very small indeed and with a sloping ceiling. The bathroom was tiny and the sliding door would not stay shut. We asked to move, which was pleasantly accommodated. Room 62 was still tight, but has full height ceilings. We found it surprisingly penny pinching when we were staying for 5 nights that we were only allowed two Nespresso capsules and were expected to pay for any more. We had to ask for additional toilet paper. There was no shampoo in the container on the shower wall. We had to ask for an extra towel, as there were two of us. These are all very small points, but taken together, they lowered our opinion of what could be a very nice, albeit compact, hotel. The reception staff were very helpful, but perhaps there is a need for a greater management input.

The area where the hotel is located is generally safe. It's about a 5-7 minute walk to the Galeries Lafeyette which was awesome! And from the Galeries or if you take a detour and walk to the Angelina cafe for brekkie or directly to the Shopping Street (Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré) depending on your walking speed, it's about a nice 20 minute walk which isn't really too far especially since I love the cold. You hardly break a sweat. However the space was a little tiny - lift, room walking space, the corridor to the rooms. I was the only person in the room with 3 big luggage and a carry-on and if I find it a tad small, having 2 people in the room may be a bit of an inconvenience. But it is what it is cause space is like a commodity in Paris. So I can't complain as it was a generally very nice boutique hotel. Clean and relatively safe. You have a cafe in the hotel building called Wild & The Moon. They are vegan cafe so for the vegans, here's a good option. I didn't get to try their teas or cakes which looked really good but I did get a bottle of juice which was really awesome.

Unfortunately the walls are so thin and the rooms not soundproofed in any way that I was kept awake by the person in the next rooms snoring, which travelled in a manner that made it seem like they were in the room with me. It’s for this reason I cannot recommend this hotel.

Great boutique hotel with awesome location!

What an amazing stay!
I want to address other concerns I have read about in here. Is the room small? Yes, it is a small boutique Parisian hotel. It kept us close but in no way impacted our stay.
Is the elevator tight? Yes, it is a small boutique Parisian hotel.
You cannot beat the service, location and cleanliness of this hotel - especially in this price range. The go as far as to send you a pre-stay survey to make sure you have the best stay possible. In the survey I mentioned that my husband and I were celebrating our 20-year anniversary and we had a bottle of wine waiting in our room for us.
The front desk staff were able to even help with a bit of French (Bonjour is used in the morning). The car service they arranged for us to get to the airport upon our departure was a great help!
The location is amazing - walkable to everywhere. You are very close to the Louvre and the Opera but we were even able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.
This hotel was awesome!

Just Don’t Do It. Don’t Book Here

We had a terrible stay, they ruined our honeymoon. Don’t let the pictures or other reviews fool you, the rooms are very very tiny. You won’t be able to open a suitcase on the floor, property is very smelly. The first night we stayed WE FOUND A RAT inside of our bedroom and we panicked and had to open a window so it would leave (My husband is also very allergic to rodents, rabbits etc). Once we complained there was no one at the front desk so we had to call hotels.com who also couldn’t contact the hotel. We were told they could only change our rooms but not switch hotels because it would have to be a decision made by Moinsure Helder. The next day we were told they were going to move our bags into the new room…… We came back after a long day expecting to have a new room, the key they gave us was to another room with someone else’s belonging. They had misplaced our luggage and didn’t assign us a new room, we had to wait again until they would assign us a new room and locate our baggage after giving away our current room to someone else. Overall bad experience, staff is rude particularly at night after coming late from being in the city. Do yourself a favour and avoid this hotel at all costs, wouldn’t come back even if I was paid to.

Clean, safe, quiet and close to everywhere.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Staff are very friendly. The room is clean and quiet. You have mini bar in your refrigerator for small charge. Coffee maker tea and coffee provided in your room. You have everything around you different type of restaurants. 10 minutes walk to louvre museum, 2 minutes walk to Opera and 15 minutes with metro to Eiffel Tower. Metro is cross street. The hotel is one block from the Galleria Lafayette the most beautiful 6 level mall. We will definitely stay here again very comfortable and safe.

Our stay was amazing. Great location in Paris to explore everything by foot with average 20-30min walks. Great hospitality and breakfast in bed. The rooms were amazing, very clean and great size. Everything we needed and staff were very accommodating. Great cafe attached too. Would really recommend.

Find another 3 star hotel!!

I reserved in Monsieur Helder for only one reason, Having a parking, but surprisingly, when we arrived from a road trip from Strasbourg to Paris \"driving for around 6 hours\" the guy at the reception told us their is no parking and that its wrong what is stated on the Hotels.com and it is not updated, i was really disappointed, having a parking spot in Paris is IMPOSSIBLE in Christmas period, on another hand, the room was very small, bed not comfortable at all, pillows not comfortable, but everything is clean, toiletries is not bad, and one more thing, when we arrived for checking in i asked for help in the luggage and in a very cool way, the receptionist told me : This is a 3 start hotel we have no one to help you, its just a bad experiense in Monsieur Helder that i will not repeat when visiting Paris again.

Great boutique hotel close to the Opera

Fantastic boutique hotel, 5 minutes walk from Palais Garnier (Opera) and a couple of metro stations.

Staff were very friendly, and the room was really quiet and comfortable. It was a nice touch for them to provide hand gel in addition to bottled water.

I didn't use the on-site cafe, but they looked to have healthy options available!

Would definitely stay here again!

Overall had a good experience. The room was spacious (for a European city center hotel) and cleaned daily. I was surprised to find the bathroom had a tub! It was nice to have a hot soak after a long day of exploring the city. The location is convenient to several Metro stops. It could be a bit noisy at night however the heavy blackout curtains helped. Liked the full windows which opened out to small garden window boxes, very charming. Good basic value and helpful friendly front desk staff.

It was a great stay overall. The concierge service was great. However we did have some tap issues which was not rectified even after complaining. The area was extremely close to lafayatte and open bus tour. Our street had many Chinese restaurants, right behind was Burger King, McD and Starbucks. Great location rather tiny elevator though. My only negative perspective to it, is that there is no lounge for travellers to sit when they arrive early for check in, or wait to be checked in.

Stayed there for 3 nights and have to say I absolutely loved the location and the staff. It is 2 min away from the subway, about 30sec away from many buses and is in a great location with plenty of really cool looking restaurants around (didn’t get the chance to really go into any of them but they looked great).
The staff went above and beyond, helping me with my suitcase, lending me a converter and smiling all the time.
The only criticisms I would have would be on the thickness of the windows as I could hear the footsteps of people walking on the street and the first night someone kept being really loud outside (though I noticed on the last night that one of my windows wasn’t properly closed so maybe that was it?).
Also, in the bathroom, I could never figure out a good place to set down the soap. It’s a tiny detail but even though the design was sleek, it wasn’t very functional. Same thing for the shower, though the water pressure and heat were optimal!

All in all, I absolutely recommend it!

All in all a really good experience.

The hotel was easy to find and close to a lot of restaurants and public transport. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist who stored our bags until check-in was ready, we arrived very early.

We returned to the hotel and the room was ready (room 44). We used the internal lift which was fine, room was spacious with wardrobe storage, safe and coffee facilities. Room was modern and well presented, bathroom was bigger than I expected given previous reviews and pictures, plenty of space, and shower had really good pressure and hot water. Staff were friendly when asking for directions and allowed us to leave our bags secured after check out until we were ready to head to the station.

Wifi was goo and easy to use, had a strong signal. Didn't try the breakfast.

We checked in on Saturday morning and the two ladies present were absolutely wonderful. Very kind and professional. One of these ladies has exceptional good manners and is a credit to the hotel (she was on the afternoon shift). Location is ideal for tourists and shoppers. Paris is best seen on foot and everything is accessible from here. Area is very safe and easy to find. There's a McDonalds and Burger King just a few metres away and lots of other eateries, cinemas, shops etc. Room was large by Parisian standards and very clean. Bed was comfortable and the power shower worked a treat. We were on the second floor and couldn't hear any noise from the street. The kettle in the room was a nice touch.

Paris Oasis for a Weekend

My boyfriend and I recently stayed here for 2 nights (Friday-Sunday) and it was absolutely perfect. Our hotel room was small, but so comfortable (we didn't want to get out of bed!). Our room had street view, so we had nice natural light that came in. The only downside, but we thought it was the funniest thing ever, was that the actual toilet was separate from the bathroom. What we thought was a mirrored closet was in fact the toilet. It was a tight squeeze, but we laughed and made it work. For the price, fabulous location and cozy room that was the least of any worries. Also, the WiFi is free and reached our room without any issues (we were on the 6th floor). We never had any issue on our phones or laptop about connecting or losing connection. Location wise, this hotel is amazing. You are a 2 minute walk from the Opera house, where you can catch the metro and the RoissyBus to CDG (which was super convenient for check out and getting to the hotel). Additionally 3 minutes north of the hotel is another metro stop, so you won't have any issue getting around the city. You're less than a 10 minute walk from the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. The staff was extremely helpful, they helped us locate restaurants and even called and made a reservation for us. The area was really beautiful and shops and restaurants were nearby. It was a wonderful place to come home to after a long day of walking and sightseeing. I will without a doubt stay here the next time I'm in Paris!

I was here to go to the Opera Garnier. The hotel is small with virtually no lobby, but the room was very comfortable, nice, furnished with mice taste, nice bathroom and shower, and wonderful personnel. Will go back for sure.

Tour de France weekend

booked this hotel for a weekend stay in Paris to watch the Tour de France and wanted to be able to walk easily to all areas of interest to us.the Hotel did not disappoint. The location is good with lots of resturants to choose within a very short distance and you can walk easily to the river in 15 mins.We thought the charge for breakfast was a bit high but the quality and choice were excellent.The linen and towels were great big fluffy white towels, good facilities but next time we will go for a larger room it was just a bit small.All of the staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful.We had a great time and will think about this hotel next time we come to Paris.

The hotel is in a great location close to the Opera, Galleries LaFayette, Place Vendom, & Louvre. This is certainly not the Ritz, but it is comfortable & clean. Yes the rooms are small, but so are most tourist hotels throughout Paris. Yes the elevator is small,but it beat working up 6 flights of stairs & again, most retrofitted elevators throughout France are tiny. The staff were polite & helpful - I had a great stay!

If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a great location this is a good option.

Very good location in the centre of Paris

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Check in was very easy. I had one very slight issue with being unable to use the safe, but the lady at the reception helped me immediately with it, which was brilliant.

Excellent hotel.

The hotel is perfectly situated for many parts of Paris. It has recently been refurbished and it looked very good. The breakfast was fantastic and all the staff were helpful and very friendly.

There were some odd noises from the central heating system and the plumbing at night but it wasn't anything major.

We would certainly recommend it as a convenient and comfortable hotel in the centre of Paris.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights, great location within walking distance to the Louvre, shopping and restaurants. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The only down side was that our room was close to the breakfast room which did not allow for a sleep in past 7! Don't get room 11 because of this reason.

You get what you pay for - no more, no less

Pros: Great location, 3 minute walk to Metro and Roissy Bus, friendly, bilingual staff. CONS: Dirty carpet, \"Continental Breakfast\" costs 10 euros, slow, weak wi-fi signal (at least on the top floor). Noisy area if the window's open. MY REVIEW: If you want a place only to drop your bags and to sleep, go for it. If you like to head back to the hotel in the evening and relax for a while before bed, stay elsewhere. My single-occupancy room was 8'x10' with a single twin-size bed, night stand and a chair (no desk, but tables where breakfast is served are accessible 24/7). I didn't see any mice or bugs (as others have reported), but when I flushed the toilet a slight \"sewage\" smell came from the adjoining wall. The room was serviced every day (linens changed etc.). BREAKFAST RIPOFF: When I checked in all they told me was when and where breakfast was served - they didn't mention that it costs extra until I was checking out, and then they claimed that it was an added option that I had manually selected when I booked the room (I'd booked the room almost a year earlier - I didn't REMEMBER checking a box for that, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt). They lied - it's not optional - it IS mentioned in the exclusions on the hotels.com site, but you don't have a choice to select it. Don't waste your money on the breakfast. It's minimal, and mostly bread products. By the way, their elevator is well-hidden behind a regular hinged door, with no sign letting you know that it's there.

The Helder Opera Hotel..Paris.

Where do I start, firstly this hotel was recommended to me, so we were extremely disappointed when we saw the size of our room, requested an upgrade, only to be told it was fully booked, did not notice many other guests!!! The room was not clean, very old and neglected.The staff were very rude not at all helful with any inquirey.
The room safe was not useable, the air conditioner not satisfactory.The location was the only good thing.

Great location but thats all. Lift and stairs both very small. Privilege/superior room extremely small and couldn't understand what could have been left out for a standard room at 50 euros less. Shower screen wouldn't close so water all over the floor. Seals and tiles mouldy.
Very noisy in the hotel by 7am.
Breakfast room OK although not spotless.
Definitely will not go back.

Considering the prices of hotels in Paris, this hotel was reasonable. It's in a convenient area and clean. The only problem was communication. I requested twin beds but was not given confirmation so I worried about it until I arrived.
I had to pay extra for twin beds which was unexpected. I would have felt better about it had I been forewarned.

It was a very charming hotel although very small. The lift is very small and walking up the stairs when someone else is on the lift is a drag. It's very small and cozy. The internet was over priced at 6 euros per half hour. There is no clock in the room which is a pain so either bring a watch or a phone for time.

Overall though it was a really nice hotel for the price. Very close to resteraunts, theaters, opera, metro and shops. Walking around the area is very nice.

Ich war mit zwei meiner erwachsenen Kinder auf Städtereise in Paris.
Das Hotel ist aufgrund seiner Lage ideal für einen Städtetrip. Die nächste Metrostation sowie Busstationen sind um die Ecke und man erreicht vieles auch zu Fuß.
Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, der Check-in verlief reibungslos.
Wir hatten ein 3-Bett-Zimmer. Das Zimmer war zwar sehr klein mit einen Doppelbett und einem weiteren kleineren Bett, aber für 4 Nächte ging es, da wir uns dort nur zum Schlafen aufgehalten haben. Auch das Badezimmer war winzig, aber alles vorhanden, was man benötigt.
Das Hotel selber hat wirklich Flair und das Zimmer war schön eingerichtet, das hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
Das Frühstück gab es in einem Nachbarhotel, welches max. 2 Minuten Fußweg entfernt war. Hierfür konnte man jeden Tag Frühstücksmarken an der Rezeption von unserem Hotel holen, welche man in dem anderen Hotel abgeben musste. Die Kosten hierfür haben wir dann beim Check-out beglichen.
Der kleine Frühstücksbereich im Nachbarhotel war ebenfalls richtig schön, vom Stil her wie in einem typischen Wiener Café. Auch dort war das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Für uns war die Auswahl an sich völlig ausreichend, ich hätte mir hier nur etwas mehr frisches Gemüse wie Paprika und Gurken beim Buffet gewünscht, aber sonst war alles wunderbar.
Ich würde jederzeit wieder das Hotel Monsieur Helder bei einer Reise nach Paris buchen.

スタッフの皆様がとても親切で、心地よく過ごせました。立地はとてもよく、駅から近く、近くになんでも揃っていました。深夜の騒々しさを懸念していましたが、心配をよそに静かに過ごせました。
狭さも心配していましたが、3人で過ごすのになんの問題もありませんでした。
1ℓ程度のガラス瓶に毎日水が提供されました。毎晩足りなくてスタッフの方に追加をお願いしましたが、いつも快く対応してくださいました。
5泊しましたが、毎晩部屋に帰るたびにシャボンの良い香りがして、清潔感が感じられるクリーニングが嬉しかったです。
シャワーの水圧と、ドライヤーの威力がもっとあればパーフェクトでした。

フランスに行く際はまた泊まりたいです。

1月初めに4泊しました。
パリの最高気温が1度くらいでしたが、部屋には暖房もあり寒さは全く感じませんでした。
毎日ボトルのウォーターサービスもあり、部屋の掃除も良かったです。またパリに行ったら利用したい。

みんな感じがよく、11/27-28とフロントにいた男性が特に親切でした。
最終日は21:50CDG発だったので、荷物を預かってくれたり、購入したバターやチーズを冷凍、冷蔵ともに保管の対応もしてくれて本当に助かりました。
部屋はせまいけど温かく、キレイで水回りも問題なし。立地も良く次回も泊まりたいと思います。また、1階のカフェも美味しい！タクシー呼んだ時もスムーズだったし、Uberもホテル前まで問題なく来れて、ここにしてよかったです。
チェックイン二日くらい前に来たメッセージも英語だけど感じがよいのが伝わる文章で、その時点から安心感がありました。

2泊した後で、ボイラーが壊れ、明日は一日中お湯が出なくなる。もしこのまま滞在するのが良ければ部屋のミニバーのものを無料で全部飲んだり食べたりしていい。それとも他のホテルに移るのを希望するのであれば探しますがどうしますかと聞かれました。よく考えた末、同じお値段てそちらが勧めるものが近くにあれば移りたい旨伝えました。そうしたらフロントのニコラスさんが近くにあるホテルロンドンのトリプルルームに空きがあるので、それでよければ今直ぐそれを押さると言ってくれたのでお願いしました。ホテルロンドンのはエレベーターが2階からしかないので、その点は不便でしたが、部屋がムッシュエルダーより広く、バスタブが付いていて快適だったので良かったです。迅速な対応に感謝します。

オペラ近く、市内観光、空港アクセスとも利便性抜群。部屋もエレベーターも全体的に狭いが、立地と価格を考慮すると十分。ホテル従業員の対応は良く、1Fにはカフェも併設。

왠만한 곳은 도보로 이동 가능했고,
주변에 메트로가 많아 이동이 편했어요..

룸은 깨끗하고 깔끔했어요..
4박 동안 표시판 걸어두면 룸 청소 해주시고,
수건교체도 해주셔서 좋았어용..

근처에 맥&버거킹 완전 가깝공..ㅎㅎ
마트도 있어 늦게 돌아와도 식사 걱정 없었어요..

근데..슈페리얼에서 2명은 진짜 좁아용..
담엔 좀 더 큰방으로 예약해서 가겠습니다~^^

Das Personal war immer hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die ersten zwei Nächte hatten wir in unserem Zimmer kein Wifi und TV, daher sind wir die letzte Nacht in ein besseres Zimmer up gegraded worden.
Da in den Nachbarhäusern kernsaniert wird, war es morgens schon ab 7 Uhr sehr laut.
Die Lage ist ansonsten perfekt um Paris mit allen seinen Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden.
