Adorable, quiet hotel in a terrific part of the city near the opera, Louvre, everything. Room was comfortable, had a tea kettle and instant coffee, and the staff was wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast room was charming with omelets made to order. Also, it was a 10-min walk to the Roissy bus that goes directly from the Opera House to the airport. Highly recommend!

Very nice welcome from the hotel receptionist. He made sure our bags were secured as we arrived at lunchtime and our room wasn’t ready until 3:00 pm.

Great and big room on their top floor, with elevator access.

This hotel is in the middle of everything and although a bit pricey, it was a great way to spend a day and night in Paris.

The elevator is extremely small, 4 normal size people can fit but not much room after that. The tub/shower side is extremely high which makes getting in and out of shower challenging if have any mobility issues or elderly.

We stayed in the Hotel Gaillon in the 1980s when we lived in Europe. We also stayed in 2007 when I had a sabbatical. So we thought we would try it again--now in 2025! It was lovely--our reasonably priced room included a great shower and and an outdoor garden/statue. The best thing about it was the staff--we were able to get cabs for a very early trip to the airport--and to practice our French. Simple and homey and lovely breakfastese.

Hotel was in a good location. Easy to walk to the louvre and surrounding sites. Very nice entrance. The only concern was that the room did not look like the one in the pictures. It was surprisingly small. Enough to walk around the bed and to the bathroom. Comfortable for one person or maybe two with little to no luggage. Other wise customer service was excellent.

The first night of our stay, about 4:30 in the morning, the ceiling in our bathroom fell down. It scared us to death. The staff was terrific and moved us to another room in the morning when we reported it. The night desk person (unfortunately, I didn’t get his name) was so helpful and personable. The hotel was conveniently located and is easily found, within walking distance to Garnier opera, Lafayette Gallery, louvre museum to Place de la Concorde. clean rooms and comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious. The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, in special, Jeph. He takes the time to answer any question I may have and provide me with the easy way to return to the Gare Nord Station, my last day. I highly recommend the hotel.

This is a terrific little hotel with relatively affordable rates in an area of Paris close to the Avenue de l'Opera that has lots of little bakeries, bistros, restaurants and shops within walking distance. The room I stayed in was small but clean and stylishly modern, and it had most of what I needed, including a small desk with power outlets, a comfortable bed with power outlets nearby, and a nice modern shower with separate controls for temperature and water pressure. As I said, it's a small room, and there was no space where I could open up my large suitcase and leave it open. Also, there is a space where you can hang your clothes, but it's oddly short, with too much space taken up by an in-room safe that I never used. The hotel staff spoke English and was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It was also helpful that I could buy water bottles (and other drinks/snacks) in the lobby at any time, although a small water bottle was 3 euros while at other stores in the area it was 2.20. Unfortunately, like many hotels in Paris, the cold/heat A/C setting is set for the entire building at once, so if the building is set on Heat and you want it cold, you're out of luck. (Fortunately the weather was such that most of the time, this wasn't a problem for me.) Overall I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this place for its location, comfort, convenience and staff.

Decent stay, room was very small but reasonably comfortable. Table lamp had tape wrapped around to secure the bulb socket to the stand but otherwise worked.

The staff at Hotel Gaillon Opera were very friendly and helpful. Overall, the family size room we stayed in was nice. To note for families looking at this option, the kids’ beds were more like cots than sturdy beds — worked okay for a couple of nights, then kids were uncomfortable. The hotel was generally clean, although the family / attic room did have an ant situation. The hotel staff did address the ants when requested. I would be cautious of booking the room if you plan to have snacks and/or eat any meals in the room.

The hotel was continently located near restaurants, shopping, and main attractions. The hotel employees were friendly and helpful especially Jeff. However, the rooms were not nearly as nice as the pictures. The pillows and towels were flat. The bathtub/shower was slippery without a bath mat causing us to slip and fall. The bathtub was also quite higher than usual making it difficult to balance while entering the bathtub/shower.

Room is wayyyyy too small. Bed is not comfortable and too small for 2 people. Pillows are AWFUL. I had a terrible sleep for 5 nights. Only good thing about hotel was location. Wifi kept dropping while in the room. Maids cleaned the room very late in the day. When we arrived, there weren't even towels in the room. Toilet paper is rough. Most people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

This is a good hotel to stay if you are looking to be in a central location in Paris without paying an extravagant amount. It is centrally located on a quiet street just off the busy avenue de l’Opera situated between the Palais Garnier and the Louvre.
We stayed in a large room with a king bed. The room was simple and not quite as nice as pictured. We are accustomed to 4 star level cleanliness and amenities so we were a little disappointed, however, this is a 3 star hotel and in my opinion it meets that standard.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly appreciated the gentleman who went above and beyond to help us plan our transportation to Versailles!

My family and I spent 4 nights here. What we love about this hotel: close to Palais Garnier, Lourve, Palais Royal; close to transportation, many dining options. Hotel staff was friendly, especially the night manager - every night when we returned back to the hotel, we would spent time chatting with him before making our way up to our room. What we dislike: the building next to the hotel was under construction (we stayed at the hotel in April 2024) hence construction noise started from 6-7am to around 6-7pm.

This hotel is near major landmarks in Paris such as the Louvre, Galerie Lafayette (shopping!), etc. There are restaurants all around the corner so you never have to worry about going hungry plus they also offer breakfast for a fee, in case you just want to grab a bite real quick without leaving the hotel. Staff is excellent! Jef is the BEST Front Desk Agent there. He answered our questions as well as provided any restaurant recommendations. The only issue we had is the shower door that barely provided any shield so taking a shower was quite challenging because the floor would get extremely wet. The elevator is so small that only two people (with luggage) could fit in comfortably but other than that, it served its purpose so if you are in Paris for a short period and just need a hotel in the city center then this is the place to stay!

This hotel gets the important stuff right - the location is excellent, an hour from the airport, Disneyland or Verailles, great travel links, but also very quiet so no disturbances. Internet was great, fine for uploading tonnes of photos after a busy day. Staff were fine, property was clean and the area seemed safe. Beds were cosy and the room spacious. We heard nothing from any adjacent rooms or the street so slept well. Breakfast was buffet-style for the most part and totally fine for our needs; cereal, bread products, juices, hot drinks, eggs etc. Breakfast was free for kids but 15 euros per adult per day. So I would say the important stuff was fine and I'd recommend the hotel.
My only small reservation is the bathroom, which is accessed via a pocket door that proved impossible to fully close - there was always about a one-inch gap. The bathroom was a little cramped and it was difficult to ever fully dry towels, for instance, as the ventillation wasn't great. The door could easily be replaced so it's curious that this hasn't been done, as I see the bathroom door has been raised elsewhere. But yes, very good indeed overall and great value.

I would like to give a shout-out to Jeff, the receptionist, who provided us with the best reception I have ever received. He assisted us with every detail of our stay, and we are extremely grateful. Our room was immaculately cleaned, and the hotel's comfort level exceeded our expectations. However, someone had eaten my husband's special chocolate edition, and we couldn't complain since we had no proof. We advise you to be careful with your food in your room. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and its location.

Hotel Gaillon Opera is in a side-street with many restaurants, bars and bakeries nearby. Gaillon Opera is a great value for money. The beds are comfortable, the staff is friendly, very helpful and speak english very well. You will also have quite fast Internet. If you're expecting a big room when you select a \"standard room\" be ready for a bed, a small table, a TV and a quite spacious bathroom. This is a great value in central Paris.

Reception is terribly cold and not helping guests at all. Anything your inquire goes no where. Rooms are tiny; Ceiling are low; Bathrooms are terrible and shower water goes everywhere.
We had multiple rooms/days and needed to make changes due to scheduling, but was not able to get a penny refund at all. Staff just said will let manager know and nothing happens no matter how many times you inquired.
Terrible place, will never go back to this hotel again.

Glad there was an elevator for bringing the luggage up at check in and down at check out. Would have liked to have breakfast available a bit earlier. Our stay was not enjoyable at all due to the fact that the rooms looked nothing like what is online - the pictures are totally false to the reality of the rooms. We had two rooms and both were cramped, poorly decorated, one with a horrible view of the back of the building piping system. The bathrooms were basic, again very cramped. The whole thing was very, very disappointing and we will not be returning. Value for money = 0.

Pictures do not match reality

The pictures of the rooms here do not reflect the actual rooms they have. As two people, we booked a standard double room and the bed was so small that we could only sleep on our backs like mummies. It could only be described as a queen bed at best. I wish I took a picture but we were so disappointed that we forgot. The staff were very unhelpful and did not know the meaning of service with a smile. Instead of apologizing for the room, they insisted this is what all rooms look like in Paris. Let’s be honest, that is not the truth - we paid a similar price at another hotel and our room was twice the size. Overall do not recommend.

Unfortunately we had a very small room with four single beds. The standard room we booked on Wotif, it showed beautiful pictures of a room including a large double bed for the adults which was completely opposite to the room that was provided. It would be helpful if the pictures were true to the rooms, as I wouldn’t have booked this accomodation had I of known what we were to end up with.
