Stayed here for the fifth time and standards are very high, clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Shops are plentiful covering food and loads of coffee shops and restaurants. Grand Boulevard metro is 2 mins away so easy access to all major attractions. Thankyou for a wonderful stay as usual.

After booking we were advised renovations works were underway so were moved to a partner hotel. At the last minute we were put back in this hotel because 'they were ahead of schedule'. Unfortunately however, although our room may have been ready, we were staying in a building site which wasn't acceptable.
3 stars because location was good and staff were friendly

Really enjoyed my stay at Hotel d’Espagne! The buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and having 24/7 luggage storage was super convenient. The rooms are small but functional, could be a bit cleaner overall, though not the worst. The staff were very friendly and the service was exceptional throughout which makes up for the shortcomings. The location is fantastic, very central, with countless dining options just steps away. If you're looking for an upscale hotel this might not be it but it does offer excellent value for this location.

We had a great stay for 5 nights in a twin room. Staff service, location and surrounds were amazing. Good food options (Land & Monkeys have great food and coffee!) close by and metro, which we only used once, was handy. It was a little noisy in the lane sometimes with wheelie bins early in the morning but that didn’t detract from our stay. Shower was a bit small/awkward however water pressure was excellent!

The hotel is in a great location. There’s plenty of restaurants nearby. The closest subway is about a 5 minute walk. The room itself was perfect. There was plenty of space in the room and the bathroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Front desk staff were so helpful and polite. Room basic - expected for the rate we paid - but clean and housekeeping came even though we vacated our room late (well deserved sleep in!) The hotel is in a quiet spot but in a great area with lively bars and good restaurants nearby.

We like this area of Paris and were looking to stay there. The hotel we normally stay at was all booked and we decided to stay at Hotel D’Espagna instead. Rooms are smalll but that’s expected. The hotel served breakfast but we didn’t try it. No major complaints but we knew what to expect. We liked our stay.

The elevator is until the 4th floor, in order to get into rooms in the 5th floor you have to climb stairs, with or without your luggage.
The hotel is in a narrow street that some vehicles do not enter, so you have to walk about 100-200 meters.
The heating did not work on one day, there was no backup heating, we were given extra blankets. The next day the problem was solved👍
The staff was polite and nlce, thanks to all of them.

Terrible stay for two days. Arrived at 8:30pm check in. Was given a fob as a key to the room for #208. After cramming into the elevator and opening the door, it was someone else’s room with all their belongings. The front desk agent barely acknowledges the error and gives us room #207 with a sticky note. The room did not have a working phone and there was no other security lock or deadbolt to the door. When we put a sign on the door for no cleaning, they came into our room anyways and made the bed but did not take out the trash or refresh our towels

This was our 2nd stay here. We booked it for both price and location. Additionally we like the restaurant that was across the street on our first stay in 2022. A different restaurant is in that location now but we did not try it. Would definitely come back to the Hôtel d'Espagne.

Located one block from Grand Boulevard and a metro station, this hotel was close to dining, shopping and just a 20 minute walk to The Louvre. The property also included air conditioning, an elevator and an English speaking staff. I would definitely stay here again!

My room had been upgraded on arrival but it smelt strongley of smoke so I asked to move to another room. Hard to believe that a guest would be expected to accept this room! A staff member at the breakfast buffet was rude and unhelpful. Apart from this the accommodation was clean, comfortable and in a convenient location.

Too small for three adults even we paid around $350/day asking for three single beds. No closet for hanging your clothes. We have to lay out everything on ONE chair ONLY. Bathroom shower is so small that even our petite size cannot make the turnaround.

However, location is really convenient for transportation & lots of eating choices. But I won’t choose it in the future but will check out other hotels nearby for a larger size specially for the bathroom.

I loved the property even tough the bedroom and bathroom are a little bit small the service, cleanliness and excellent location made it the perfect decision.

Rusland at the front sesk was marvelous and if you are going to continue your adventure within France they keep the luggage for you!

Stylish hotel in an excellent location. Decent sized rooms with comfortable matress and pillows. Reception Staff spoke English and were helpful. Some rooms do not have powerpoints on either side of the bed, so bring a powerbank if you want your mobile to hand at night! As the hotel is in an classic paris block, the soundproofing is not as good as a newly built hotel. If you are easily bothered by noise bring a set of earplugs for a perfect stay.

1 The Breakfast:good variety of food

4. Cleaning and upkeep of my room.

Cons:
1. Disappointing welcome: I welcomed just before 10am after a long flight from Australia. The receptionist said I could not have breakfast as they have just closed. Keep in mind, I had paid for the previous night so that I could access my room. She was oblivious to this, did not smile and I felt quite unwelcome. I think a sense of hospitality is vital to any Hotel.

2 Taxis refuse to enter the street of the Hotel. As a man with a disability this would put me off staying at your Hotel again.

3. The simplicity of the decor makes it feel boring and cheap.

This was a great small boutique hotel. The rooms were nice, and clean. Bathroom was nice and clean and beds were comfortable. I could adjust the temperature no problem. I enjoyed staying there. Complimentary coffee and snacks in the afternoon. Kettle in room. I would recommend and stay again!

Room was in pretty rough shape. window curtains were broken, carpet was very dirty. Booked because it stated that there was a double bed for my kid to sleep between me and my wife. it was just two single beds pushed together with a large crack down the middle. The other beds in the room were extremely worn out and uncomfortable. Stayed in Paris many times, would not recommend this place as it was very disappointing for the price paid. Staff was helpful and very friendly tho.

Our family of 4 loved the hotel. The staff was genuine and kind. They did not just do their job, they radiated help. The quadruple room was small for the US standards, but very doable. We also appreciated that the kids were separated with a wall from us.
The hairdryer had a panel with a North American outlet.
The area is very walkable, 5min from a subway station, within 15-30 min from major attractions.
If we go back to paris, we will stay there again.

I booked a triple room for 2 nights and was very dissatisfied with the top floor attic room I was given considering the price! The room was extremely tiny with a very low ceiling. My husband who is 6'3\" had to crouch sometimes. The room had sloping walls that felt like they were closing in on us and the shower was so tiny you couldn't bend over to wash your feet. Overall it was very uncomfortable for 3 adults! I shudder to think what would happen in the event of a fire on this top level!

I expressed my concerns to the front desk attendant (Neisha) after checking in and she gladly offered to give me a different room the next day since the hotel was fully booked that night. The next morning I met the hotel manager (who refused to give her name) and told her what was going on. She was very rude and offered no resolution to my problem rather she said to me: \"thats's my opinion of the room\" and she cannot do anything about it. I explained that Neisha offered to give me a new room and she exclaimed \"what did she tell you?\". She was totally infuriated about this but eventually said ok she would move us.

Prior to Paris, I stayed in similar priced hotels in Rome and Florence. The rooms were decent and most importantly the customer service was exceptional! This hotel manager absolutely lacked professionalism and respect. I declined the new room offer primarily because of fear of being vindicated. The manager later apologized which I accepted but this was my worst experience ever!

We had a wonderful stay. The location was amazing, Beds and pillows very comfortable and staff was great, specifically Ahmed who saved the day and was extremely helpful. We went to a concert and Uber app
Crashed. We didn’t feel
Comfortable hailing a cab and by that time public transportation wasn’t working. Ahmed called us a cab and stayed on the phone with me until we got into the can. He was also able to see where we were by gps so he made sure we got home safe. I appreciate how much we went out of his way for us!

Very quiet street in a central location. Friendly and helpful staff! As a solo female traveller, I was apprehensive about staying on a quiet street in Paris but I felt very safe, indeed. I am also a very light sleeper and j can attest that noise is not an issue at all. Gxxxgle maps does not properly show the enclave the hotel is in but trust the reviews that it is a great find!

Amazing stay! Amit and all the staff were very nice and friendly. Definitely coming back. Hotel was in an amazing location where you can walk to all the main sites! Close to Eurostar train station also. Cute courtyard and window overlooking this.

We stayed here for 3 nights, just after it reopened from being closed due to Covid-19. The hotel had done a great job on creating one-way systems and putting sanitation procedures in place to keep both staff and guests safe and comfortable. All the staff we met were extremely helpful and friendly and they all spoke great English which made our stay that much easier! A huge thank you to Daniela for being extra kind and offering us a room upgrade - it was a great addition to the trip! The only thing I would say is that the room’s were a little basic and perhaps need a little more ‘flare’. But overall we had a lovely stay at Hotel D’Espagne! The location was very nice, as it is away from the noisy main road, but still a very short walk to the bus stop, metro and lovely bars.

Checked in with my sister's family. We had 2 rooms booked. I was given a staircase room which I don't feel comfortable with and i request to change. So they gave me a corner room at level 2. I don't like a corner room. So I asked if there is any room at level 4 which is the same level as my sister. They have only one small room left. No other better choice I just get the small room. There is no aircon. Asked to fix multiple times still the same. If I open the window, the pipe was noisy at night not sure what is the marble balls sound coming from the pipe. My sister's room was okay. So individual experience. But I won't stay here again if I go Paris.

Great location, near shops, restaurants and metro, but access to the hotel is challenging. This hotel is located in a gated hotel corridor, which requires you to get buzzed in and out of the gated area in the late evening, as well as get buzzed in and out of the hotel by the reception desk. They only give you one key that must be turned in each time you leave. There was no mention of how to get in and out of the gated area when we checked in, so we were startled when we returned home one night to figure out how to get in. Plus, we had to buzz multiple times before the reception desk would answer, so found ourselves waiting around to be let in. This access issue also prevented our airport transfer from being able to pick us up outside the hotel. Although this access issue was a bit frustrating, it did contribute to feeling secure at the hotel and limited the amount of noise from the streets, so it was very quiet at night.

I found the beds to be comfortable and the bathroom to be nice and clean. The daytime reception staff was also friendly and helpful.
