the mattress needs replacing, maintenance needs improving - broken lever for basis plug, missing plastic seals at bottom of each shower door - wet bathroom floor.

It is an old property as expected but it wasn’t as clean as it should be. I even saw mold in the bathroom ceiling. The bed was old and the mattress concave. The room was incredibly small that I had to walk sideways to get to the other side (and I’m only130lbs). I believe check in is at 2pm, but my room wasn’t ready until 3:30. The carpet is black and there was so much visible dust and lint, you can tell it needed a good vacuum. I asked them to give the room a deep cleaning. My friend had her room changed because her bathroom had a lot of mold spots. I was there during the heatwave, they had water locked up because you have to pay for it, but the front desk didn’t have the key to get the water and the night manager told me to walk to the mini market late at night. Just bad service. The coffee was free and it was very good.

The decor is great! Our room was comfortable. The only problem was the first night. We were not in the room we reserved, it was much smaller and had no air conditioning. They gave us free breakfast the next morning. It didn't make up for the cost of the upgraded room. I was not happy. It was a little far from everything as well.

THERE IS NO PARKING! They say they have parking but they do not. Street parking is 18 Euro per hour. The walls are paper thin, which is to be expected with an old building, but you can hear everything your neighbours are doing.
I would not recommend this hotel.

The little street is hard to navigate to without Google maps with multiple turns off the main streets.
The floor we were placed on was under construction, missing ceilings, wall coverings, floors covered with paper and plastic and drop cloths. There was hammering all day and paint and glue smells, made me sick to my stomach one day.
The housekeeping staff were good and the room was clean.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very spacious (my room even had a long corridor). The location is convenient as well, yet it is not easy to find. In this sense, I suggest you look for 5, rue richer, instead of 10, rue du conservatoire, the latter being a much more difficult street to find.

We stayed for a long weekend in august. Wasn’t too far from the station which was good. When we arrived they informed us that the air conditioning was broken, however they were going to provide free breakfast for our entire stay which was hadn’t paid for and also had provided two large fans. It was a very hot weekend so was a shame, but actually the fans worked fine and we slept really well every night- we are not great sleepers so this was an achievement. Our room was a good size for two and was clean. The breakfast was a standard continental but that worked for us. I would definitely stay there again. A metro was close by and you could walk to various restaurants about a 15/20 minute walk.

The staff was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel is also in a good location close to a lot of restaurants and not far from attractions. However this can also be a downfall as at night sound travels and we could hear every person talking and every vehicle going by. The building is definitely older and could use some repairs/ sprucing up and while the building 'has air conditioning' it didn't work the entire time we were there. Because of this we had the window open and that made the noise a bit more difficult to deal with. It does offer free breakfast which is free so can't complain but don't expect a lot of choices or options as to what you receive. Also, not sure if this was a Europe issue or just this hotel but all of us found the beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Overall was a good experience but not sure if I'd stay here again.

Pleasant place to stay in Paris

Had a great stay here! The hotel staff was very friendly and always available to help. The room was super cute and head a great view to the neighborhood. The AC was unfortunately broken during our stay but they threw in free breakfast to accommodate. It was a short walk to the metro and there were tons of restaurants close by for meals. Pretty part of Paris and quiet at night. Everything was cleaned daily and you had the option to reuse your towels.

Great spot to stay in the heart of Paris

Lovely hotel in great location, two blocks from Metro and walking distance to loads of attractions. Plus loads and loads of options for places to eat nearby, and a handy little supermarket (Grand Prix) around the corner. It's a quirky little hotel, not a chain, but has excellent, friendly staff who really work hard to make your stay a pleasant one.

Excellent, elegant hotel, very friendly abs helpful staff, nice bathroom and liked the balcony, great location in that it is walking distance from the Gare du Nord but also far enough away to be in a nice neighbourhood. Very clean. Would defiantly return on my next trip to Paris

Really conveniently located hotel. Easy to walk to montmartre, opera, Gare du Nord. Feels safe with reception always available and a key card to open the door. The staff on reception were all friendly, helpful and professional. Small lift to take luggage up but this is Paris do I was glad to have any lift. Small but clean and comfortable rooms. The major down side is poor noise insulation. I could hear water, bathroom flushing and showering, and whole conversations of those around me. That made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also hard and the blanket seemed too small for the bed. I would still stay again for the convenience, lovely staff and good value in the area

Staff were extremely helpful. I had some issues outside of the hotel and they went above and beyond to assist in any way they could. We had a dog and lots of luggage because my daughter was moving home and they were able to store the extra bags. We had all the help we needed with the dog. My daughter was dressed they gave her extra coffee and food to calm her. They offered all kinds of help. The cleaning staff gave us extra toilet paper and towels. Everyone was very friendly.

Gorgeous hidden gem

Staff on the front desk were absolutely amazing. Especially the gentleman who had the evening shift. Enormous thank you to him. Couldn't have been more polite and helpful with everything we needed. Despite an injury resulting in me ending up in a wheelchair just before the trip and the hotel advertising it wasn't wheelchair friendly, They bent over backwards to help. Even to the extent of helping to carry my wheelchair up the stairs to our room and back down again each day.
The hotel itself is gorgeous! My daughter was shocked how luxurious it looked at the entrance given what we'd paid for the trip. She even questioned whether we had the right place lol. Well located close to shops and even with my mobility issues it was well within walking distance of gare du nord and the seine.
The room was beautifully decorated and spotless. High ceilings made it feel very spacious. Would highly recommend to people and I'd definitely hope to stay again!

Very very small rooms. Couldn't actually open our 2 bags properly as there was no space. The photos of the rooms can be deceiving. I think these photos are of the upgraded suites. Make sure to upgrade if you want a spacious room.

You can do better

Hotel is OK. You can get a better deal for your money elsewhere. Staff is rude and inconsiderate. Be careful with your belongings. Make sure if it’s valuable you keep it on your person at all times. Tiny elevator. Small rooms. Non helpful staff. Older decor.

Location was great. Small shops and restaurants within minutes from the hotel.

Hotel was nice looking. Clean. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was good for the €10.

Down falls were the room I received I got a key, not a swipe card. Didn’t love carrying around a key incase i lost it. As well then I was unable to get into the hotel and had to ring the door bell each time. Fine for me as I was a solo traveller not out late. Not a big deal.

Bed was to stiff for my liking.
Pillows were uncomfortable.
Room was a good size for one person. I had the double bed room. Two people would be a little cramped, but average for Europe.

I left the “do not disturb” sign on my door while out for the day. While I was gone house keeping did come in and clean my room. I didn’t really like the fact that they entered my room. I had some of my things on the bed and on the desk as I wasn’t expecting anyone in the room. The water and the cotton buds (qtips) were the two things I used from the hotel. These were not replaced, so bit annoying they were not replaced after entering the room when I didn’t request cleaning.
The next morning while I was getting ready for my 1130am check out they tried to enter the room again just before 11am. The “do not disturb” sign was still on the door.

Walls also pretty thin. I was woken up at 6am the second night to someone showering and packing in the next room. I could here them farting and taking a dump haha not pleasant to wake up to

Well, twin beds pushed together – a little odd. No electrical output in the bathroom, made hairstyling extremely hard. The shower in a tub was for young athletes not older people. The Lighting could’ve used improvement.
What they’ve done with an old building was nice, chandeliers fun, the place is pretty pleasing for a boutique hotel. The location is perfect, walking distance to the Louve.

Good area, nice staff. Luggage hold was a joke, no security, just a locked closet which they give the key to anyone and no checking in or checking out the luggage. Someone could easily steal someones bag without the receptionist having the slightest clue. The a/c was broken, 80+ degrees our whole stay. The water temperature fluctuated cold, hot, cold, hot the entire stay. I would not stay here again.

This hotel is located near 2 metro stations. The location is safe so no complaints (since i lived in Paris for 3 years!).
Friendly staff and clean room. I was on 4th floor and everything was amazing. Hotel has no fridge. But its ok carrefour and stores near by to get some cold beer and water ! But it would be nice for them to invest in some small fridges for each apartment. Also maybe a fan for WC?
Over all 4 out of 5. Great stay, love 9Arr!

The good: location, price is so so.
The bad: customer service was the worst from all my trips and hotels I’ve stayed in overall. I’ve traveled a bit and have stayed in many hotels (many times in Paris) and this was probably one of the worst customer service experiences. The staff, specifically the reception man who worked nights/weekends. Because of this, I would not stay here again not recommend this hotel.

Our check in for 3 separate rooms was supposed to be at 2 pm and due to a problem with the water heater, we were not able to check in until after 3. This is not a problem except that my room did not have hot water the entire stay. The other two rooms did and when I informed the staff receptionist man and asked if he knew if we'd have hot water the next day, he lied and said \"oh well\" and dismissed me saying it was not just my room but the whole district of the area, which did not have hot water. That was a big lie as the other rooms did. I understand the first day there was no hot water in my room but not for the rest of the stay. This is a hotel after all. The worst part was the man at the receptionist in the afternoons.He did not care and dismissed me asking anything else.

The night before leaving, my sister went in the afternoon to ask the same man if she could have the police number. We had a small incident outside of the hotel and she was only asking for the number nothing else. the man could not even help us with that. He was rude and gave us one digit.

You have great and worst staffs at the same time.

Hi there,

I was really happy while I was staying in this hotel in the overall(5th - 9th June).

There are 3 staffs at the reception that I met during the stay. the 2 males staff that I met on 5th-6th June are really nice, friendly and providing a very good recommendations and services.

However, there is a female staff at the reception who I met during 6th(in the afternoon) - 8th June was very impolite and lacking of service mind. This lady seems old, she has a short hair and wearing glasses.
Here is what my friends and I would like to complain.

For me, I asked her to make a reservation for a dinner in restaurants, she seems to get annoyed(I can tell by looking at the reaction on her face) and replied me impolitely that she can't do that and told me to do a walk-in instead.

For my friends, they ask for some information in general such as recommendation for something, information about the touring things in Paris but this lady refused rudely and told them to look for what they asked in \"google\" by themselves and provide the reason \"because you have the internet\".

Both of my friends and I can see a very difference in service minds from this old lady and the other 2 guys.

Apologized that I could not remember all of the staffs' name.

The lady at reception, after a lot of complaining and morning finally gave us a room with two connected twin beds but made me separate the two beds on my own. When I asked for a bed sheet for the second bed , she said she had done enough for me and refused to get me another sheet and walked away....hotel itself was quite dinghy

The hotel is showing age & could use a bit of an update. The staff were not terribly helpful & tended to respond to queries with indifference or simply restating my question back to me as a question. They did not offer to assist with arranging sightseeing excursions. A marked difference from the hotel across the street who were quick to assist us although we were not their clients.

THIS WAS PURCHASED AS A SURPRISE 21ST BIRTHDAY PRESENT FOR MY NIECE AND THEY GOT THERE AND WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A HOSTEL, THE SERVICE WAS DEPLORABLE, THEY BASICALLY NEVER SEEN ANYONE TO OFFER HELP AND ASSISTANCE TO THE, EVEN HOTELS.COM COULD NOT GET THROUGH TO THEIR SUPPOSED 24 HOUR MANNED RECEPTION, WHICH DID NOT EXIST, MY FAMILTY SAW THIS WKITH THEIR OWN EYES, THE PLACE IS ALSO FILTHY AND I WILL BE UPLOADING THESE BEFORE I CANCEL ALL MY UPCOMING BOOKINGS WITH HOTELS.COM AS THEY ARE BAICALLY OBLIVIOUS TO HELPING THE CUSTOMER. I WILL NOT BE PUTTING UP WITH THIS FULL STOP, BREAKFAST ALSO ROTTEN. FEEDBACK FROM FAMILY... SO SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF THAT IS INSTALLED FROM THIS 'HOTEL' ITS A DISGRACE

Nice modern hotel but bed bugs! :(

I booked this hotel for me and my girlfriend 30nov-04dec (2018). Hotel itself is very nice and modern however when we returned home we noticed lots of itchy red bumps on our skin (feet/ankles/arms/back)

We were unsure what it was and they are still present but not itchy. We suspected bed bugs and Having just read a review left a week ago at this hotel regarding bed bugs it makes sense!

I’d recommend checking your sheets thouroughly for any signs as we are now going to have to sort all the clothes out we took and have been mixed with other clothes!!

The hotel was in the perfect area, which made it easy to walk to any landmark. The staff was very kind and welcoming (and spoke English well). I enjoyed the breakfast, which saved me quite a bit of money. The subway is nearby, as well as Gard du Nord if you decide to take the train to London like I did.

Clean and quiet - walkable area

This was our second time staying at Hotel Peyris. Room was compact yet had high ceilings and was comfortable for a 3-night stay. Area is quiet and safe within a 5-7 minute walk from the Bonne Nouvelle metro station or 25-30 minute walk to/from Galeries Lafayette or Les Halles. Staff are friendly and speak English. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel, big room included corridor plus a massive bathroom.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone compare with Golden Tulip hotels which says 4stars but I would say 3 stars instead of 4 for Golden Tulip

Loved my stay in this hotel, Peyris Opera. About 5-7min walk from Poissoniere metro (line 7), 15min walk from Gare du Nord. Feel safe in this area. Lots of restaurants around. Walkable distances to Galeries Lafayettes Haussmann (about 20-25 min)/ opera area. As well for Montorgueil area (about 10 min) and 5 min more down the road, you can reach forum des halls. I got a double bed for single person room on third floor with larges windows and nice view. They have organisational space to put your personal belongings, clothing, toiletteries. Daily cleaning. Welcoming and charming reception. Point good to know: the bathroom is a little bit small (or at least for my room) and the hotel can be a bit noisy. Elevator is small which can be problematic for certain people with larges suitcase; yet it was fine for me. I would definitely recommended this hotel and would re-book this place again when I come back to Paris

Not the best of stays

The hotel lobby and common areas are very well-kept, however our room was quite shabby. The mattress was soft and a bit lumpy. Although I assume that some effort is put in to keep rooms clean (I could hear the cleaning staff vacuuming in the morning), our room was stuffy and I had some trouble breathing due to allergies while in the room. Nothing major, but worth mentioning since this has never happened to me elsewhere. On the upside, staff were nice and helpful and the hotel itself is very well located.

Very comfortable hotel close to metro, loads of cafes, bars and restaurants close by. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Room spacious with small balcony, safe and kettle. Very quiet and comfy bed.

Good Experience!

Service met expectations. Our room (436) was cleaned despite the fact that we left late in the morning. Although, some minor necessities seemed to have been overlooked (ex. New disposable cups for coffee we’re not left) leaving us to ask the front desk for replacements.

Be aware that the toilet room was extremely small. The beds were firm and comfortable.

We had an incident where we had left something behind after we had checked out and the staff was kind enough to help us resolve this. Thank you!
