I’ve stayed at a lot of budget hotels, but this really is bottom-end. The staff were pleasant, hotel close to amenities and transport. But otherwise, the door looked as though it had been kicked in at least once, and wouldn’t lock. There were clumps of brown all over the filthy carpet, possibly paint but I didn’t look too hard. Bathroom covered in mould. The whole hotel seemed like it had big subsidence issues - cracked walls, holes in floor covered up by carpet. Breakfast room was far too small for the number of guests at any time, and offerings rudimentary. I stayed on a weekend and there was a very loud party nearby, banging music and crowds shouting until 4am. Then at 7am (Sunday), the cleaning staff came with hoovers outside the room, banging and calling to each other. There’s really not much to recommend here and I wouldn’t stay again.

Horrible experience

The hotel tried to charge me £50 more as my baby is 2 and a half years old and not 2 years old. The manager insisted on this. I was forced to request hotels.com to call them and dispute this as the manager didn’t want to talk to me directly. This was a 30minute drama. Which isn’t an experience you want when on holiday.

A cot wasn’t provided
The room didn’t smell nice as you could smell the toilet sewage from the bathroom
The lift couldn’t fit a buggy/stroller unless folded and can only fit 2 people so it is very small.
The room was very outdated, with no form of window restrictions so dangerous for children to fall.

Very bad experience which you don’t want whilst on holiday.
I very rarely leave reviews but was not a nice experience

We’re traveling through Western Europe from Canada and have stayed in many places along the way. We chose this hotel in Paris for its central location and relatively budget-friendly price. However, our experience last night was truly shocking.

There were rats running and scratching inside the walls, making so much noise it was honestly unbearable. We were supposed to stay for two nights but ended up leaving after the first.

To make matters worse, the hotel staff claimed that the noises were caused by pigeons that had somehow gotten into the walls—an explanation that was as absurd as it was frustrating.

Avoid this hotel at all costs.

BEDBUGS IN THIS HOTEL

There were bed bugs in my room and I had to move hotels. I took a few bugs to the front desk and they tried to play it off and tell me I was wrong. Do not stay here! I still have scars from the bites!

Worst hotel ever! Dirty rooms, dirty and tattered beddings, dirty toilet and bathroom. Wi-Fi doesn’t work. Miserable staff because they are sick and tired of unhappy customers. Have to pay for remote control. Because of this terrible experience I won’t do any searches on Expedia again.

two stars in one too many

My room was tiny and next to the busy street. The window casing did not close and the room was shoddy, in need of basic maintenance. While exiting the hotel lobby I ripped my shirt on a nail that was sticking out of the wood trim, which ruined the shirt. I wrote an email to management, as directed by the staff, but received no response. The breakfast was satisfactory and the general attitude of the on-site staff was excellent.

Rat Infestation in building

I had a mostly pleasant stay at this hotel in this touristy, clean and secure area. The staff was friendly, multilingual albeit a bit disorganized with their accounting. The cleaning staff was very assertive, sometimes a bit too much. I had an extended stay, 16 nights. Unfortunately, the last 2 nights, when I had upgraded to the largest room on the 4th floor, I discovered that there was an infestation of RATS in this room. I did not sleep the first night , as I was traveling alone, had seen activity but they were so small and fast I told myself they were insects and as it was 1 in the morning and I had the lights on dimly, I tried to put it out of my mind. Both creatures went onto the bed. The 2nd second night I was eating at 10.30 in the evening, and no-I did not have food dispersed in this double room, I saw an incredibly large rat in plain light run under the bed. This completely ruined my night, confirmed that I had seen the worst case scenario the night before and since I could not not sleep again I had the misfortunre of seeing another, more audacious rate, who did not run under the bed, but strolled on and up and down the 2 stairs separating the bed from the other area and then I heard crinkling of my bags on the floor and was terrified that this rat was going into and in in between my things. I have stayed in many hotels in the Parisian area (as well as in Spain,) and have never, ever, ever stayed at one that had RATS. There is a serious sanitation problem. BEWARE!!

Very disappointing

Extremely disappointing, on arrival we encountered a dead rat on the staircase, and when we got to our room, which was supposed to be three single beds , we found a double and a single bed. This keant one of our geoup had to sleep on the floor as we were advised there were no other rooms available

Very disappointing

For the amount I paid this was not at all up to standards.
No lighting on one landing, which I tripped up serveral stairs. The only plug socket in my room was hanging out the wall. Burn marks on the lamp shades. Broken shower head and lever didnt turn properly, also the water only did hot or cold no consistent temp.
You could hear the what ever was living in the walls rattling around in the night.
I am trying to dispute the amount I paid but they are not responding to my emails and the front desk staff didn't want to deal with it. So am having to take further action.

Likes; location was brilliant, 5 minutes from my favourite restaurant. Staff were great, particularly Jonas and Sekoura; pleasant, helpful and genuine. The bathroom was clean and the shower was excellent (powerful) Breakfast was the best particularly the coffee.
Dislikes; TV remote was broken. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty, very inconvenient! The room was tired, a few (cheap) prints on the walls would brighten it up. The likes outweighed the dislikes; would come back.

Paris was a new experience for us and we came at abusy time. The location is quite good, double bed rooms are small. Thinks we’re clean just old. We stayed more days than we had planned so it was safe. Grocery store across street which is good since no no ice or fridge.

Location is good, staff is pleasant. Towels needed to be thrown away and replaced. There were no threads left in the towels and the white color had turned gray. WiFi didn’t work. Elevator jerked. Hair dryer didn’t work and neither did the tv.

Relatively ok for a short touristy stay. Many nice cafes and watering holes all around. However, I had only one socket in my room and it was hidden in the corner behind the table - hard to charge your phone, etc. No cable tv, only french channels. Rather easy connection to transportation, but not central.

For a visit to Paris Faubourg-Montmartre is a fine location, a little outside the ordinary tourist locations, which itself can be a quality, and central if you want to walk around.
Hotel standard is good for Paris, and the staff friendly and helpful (and English speaking)..

A typical Paris hotel of its kind. Nice staff, an ok breakfast. The big minus is the noise. Although it is in a relatively narrow street it is a thoroughfare for motorbikes and especially at night the roaring due to stopping at lights is very bad. Another type of noise is due to the building. Every closing of a door makes many walls around vibrate. If you stay there with a group of people who like to visit each other at night (like I did), you don´t get much sleep.

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. After first night we had to change the room because bathroom was broken. We then moved to another room that its radiator (for warming) did not work, so we got dressed and went to the bed until tomorrow when we changed the room again to a noisy room in front of street. That was warm but it was too difficult to sleep. Fortunately we had not got the chance to change the room for another night as next day we left Paris to Venice. At least The good thing about this hotel was having polite and friendly staff.

We stayed totally for three nights

We stayed totally for three nights in this hotel. First night we stay at room with broken bathroom, second night we stay at room which was very cold as radiator (for warming) did not work and we went to the bed fully dressed and finality last night we stay at another room overlooking to street very noisy and unfortunately did not sleep well. All the rooms were clean and except for mentioned problems there were not any other issues.

Hotel et chambre vieillots, un manque d'entretien de longue date se fait sentir. Mais on décèle une bonne volonté tout de même, la literie est très confortable, les draps très propres. Mais la salle de bains tombe en lambeaux. Moquette sale en tout cas tachée. Petit déjeuner bien approvisionné, un vrai plaisir. Accueil agréable, donc un très bon compromis pour une seule nuit, avec un tarif défiant toute concurrence.

Le séjour à la fois le plus court, et le plus catastrophique de ma vie.

Dès mon arrivé à l'hôtel, la fenêtre de chambre était grande ouverte. Étonnant pour un mois de novembre à plus de 22h30.

J'ai très vite compris la supercherie.

Un radiateur avec de longs tuyaux bouillants à côté du lit, sans possibilité de régler la température, ou j'ai très vite été submergé par une chaleur ambiante.

À cela, s'ajoutent les bruits incessants du radiateur tout au long de la nuit. Par conséquent, impossible de dormir.

Des moisissures à l'intérieur de la cabine de douche, des chevilles apparentes sur le carrelage mural de la douche, à peine pensable pour un établissement recevant des êtres humaines.

Une odeur d'égout pestilentielle dans la pièce WC/Douche, à peine supportable. Une honte !

Un oreiller sale !

Je suis très surpris qu’hôtel.com puisse proposer à la location ce type d'établissement, qui vraisemblablement ne respecte aucune règle d'hygiène, ni de conformité.

Par conséquent , je demande le remboursement intégral de ma nuitée dans cette hôtel sous réserve d'entamer diverses procédures..

Thumbs up for the staff

During the first night neighbours in the next room were shouting, running in the doors and playing loud music until 2am. Its very easy to hear thru the walls and the doors, almost no sound suppression at all in the house.
The hotel itself is not in a perfect condition, outlets are loose, the cr needs some finish and more, but I truly appreciate the staffs work and doing their best for a nice stay.

Habitaciones muy pequeñas, aunque algunas estaban reformadas no parecian tan mediocres como la entrada del hotel que le hace falta una reforma urgente! A destacar solo la limpieza que a pesar de lo feo estaba todo muy limpio!

Das Zimmer war nicht sauber, Teppich und Hocker extrem schmutzig. Am Waschbecken klebte ein Haar an getrockneter Zahnpasta. Personal war aber freundlich. Café, Lokale, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe, max. 15 Minuten zu Fuß vom Ostbahnhof und ca. 25 Minuten zu Fuß vom Louvre entfernt. Für 2 Nächte o.k., wenn man selber putzt.

Pessima la stanza, che nella foto sul sito di Expedia era matrimoniale e fotografata forse vent'anni fa. Ora era un dormitorio con quattro letti singoli in fila e la testiera del vecchio letto matrimoniale. Moquette lurida e piena di macchie. Copriletti macchiati e rotti. Luci debolissime e alte, per cui non si riusciva a leggere dal letto. Condizioni del bagno in linea con il resto, piastrelle rotte, water scrostato. Lavabo con guarniture arrugginite. Discreta la colazione, gentile il personale, posizione comoda. Prezzo senza senso per una struttura simile, altro che rapporto qualità prezzo buona.

Det var helt okej. Väldigt tunna dörrar så man hörde allt från korridoren, grannarna kom och knacka på för att vi skrattade ”för högt” på rummet. Absolut inte fräscht badrum. Kan rekommendera om du BARA är på rummet för att sova. Badrummen hade kalkfläckar, gammal toa-borste och inte moppat på år.
