We loved the vibe of this hotel. We had two bedrooms and the whole unit had windows looking across the Paris rooftops. Lots of great little eating spots, a grocery store, pharmacy, and Metro a very short walk. The staff was very friendly and kind. It was slightly dated but overall a wonderful place to stay. Would definitely stay again especially if travelling to Paris by train. It was very convenient!

The hotel was easy to find from Gare du Nord, clean with really good amenities but what truly made this stay special was the receptionist (unfortunately I forgot their name). They were an absolute star — I visited with a friend who is a wheelchair user, and the receptionist went above and beyond, giving us advice on accessible shopping areas and which sidewalks were more wheelchair-friendly. His attention to detail and genuine care left me really impressed.

Our family of 4 stayed 3 nights. Great location close to metro. We were welcomed by Gaultier who had fantastic recommendations and much appreciated summer welcome gifts. The beds were fantastic and a full mattress on the sofa bed was wonderful! We had a bright corner view room with black out curtains and windows kept the room very quiet at night, AC was comfortable. The shower was excellent and a well appointed kitchen with espresso, perfect!

Great location, near multiple metro stations to get where you need to go. Tons of restaurants around. It has 2 showers, my only minor issue was only 1 toilet which can get busy with a larger family. It may have said it in the description and I missed it thinking there were 2 full bathrooms, but not a huge deal. Staff was awesome, and everything else made up for that.

This is a lovely little hotel with attentive staff and really thoughtful personal touches. There were snacks and drinks in the fridge and my 6-year old daughter was given a little teddy bear wearing a t-shirt with the name of the hotel! The room is small but very practical and there are some fabulous bakeries and patisseries in the Area. We will come back here next time we visit Paris.

We liked how convenient this was to the train station and the Metro. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They kept our bags safe for us for a couple of hours after checkout. The apartment had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable. To top it off, my husband unknowingly left his passport behind and they reached out to us and then held it in the safe for us until we could return a week later.

This beautiful apartment was so well-appointed and had all the Parisian charm we had hoped for. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts who provided great recommendations for spots in the neighborhood and tips for getting the most of our holiday. We loved the 2-bedroom sofa bed as we were travelling with our 2 teenagers. Could not recommend this rental highly enough, and we would happily come here again.

Customer service was excellent! Gaultier at the front desk was so kind, friendly and full of wonderful advice and ideas for our days. The bakeries around the hotel are sensational. Union Boulangerie Is a must visit! Rooms were modern and clean. Gift bag with reusable water bottles, filtered water dispenser, and free umbrella use was such a pleasant surprise. Great location close to metro. If I am ever in Pairs again will definitely stay here again!

We had breakfast in the room two days, which was very convenient with kids. We were given a water bottle after check in—very convenient for the water fountain in the hotel. Gautier was very friendly and provided us with information on how to get places in Paris. Room was a little tight, but for European standards it was still good. I would probably furnish it with more lightweight furniture, but certainly not a dealbreaker. Clean property. Would stay here again.

We had an excellent time during our stay. The property was spotless with nice views of the Eiffel Tower and the Pantheon. The only issue we ran into was that the hot water was a hit and miss which was inconvenient.

Great hotel, spacious room with a separate room with sleeper sofa for our two kids. Bathroom was tight, but not unusual for Europe. Great location, just a 5 minute walk to the subway. Front desk staff very friendly and welcoming. Gave us a welcome package that included water bottles, travel bag and stuffed teddy bears for our kids! They have limited hours they are there, but give you access codes to come and go as you please. Lots of shops, cafes and restaurants near by, including a local laundry mat that we utilized. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

Le Matissia was a great find. The neighborhood is amazing with great bakery, restaurant options, etc a stone’s throw away. The Poissonnière metro stop is a 1 min walk, which takes you straight to Louvre and Pont Neuf. The reception was incredible with the host telling us all we needed to know and taking our bags up to the room as we dropped them early. There are great amenities like free juice, cookies, soda, etc. overall highly recommended. One issue was that the door to the bathroom was a bit broken and one person got stuck inside - we were able to get them out but would have been hard without someone in outside. We alerted reception but just be aware.

Matissia provided our family with a wonderful stay in Paris. We look forward to returning! My family included four (two kiddos, 9 & 11). We stayed in the 1-bedroom and enjoyed the layout. It included a living room with kitchenette. My kids shared the pull-out couch in the living room. The couch/bed was very comfortable.
The kitchenette had everything we needed – fridge, microwave, stove, Nespresso, and all the plates/glasses you could need. The fridge was stocked with snacks, soda, and juice. The cabinets also included basics – S&P, sugar. In addition, the Wifi was good, TV had available streaming services, and the plugs had converters for USB.
The room was quiet throughout the day and night. I didn’t hear any hotel neighbors and the windows were well-insulated against outside noise. We’d open the windows for fresh air and to hear the neighborhood – but if it got too loud, we just closed the windows. Also, good light-canceling curtains.
The neighborhood was great! Extremely close to the 7 Metro, 15min walk to Gare du Nord and Sacre Coeur and ten minute walk to two other Metro lines. We felt safe during our entire trip – traveling in the morning or latenight. The staff was phenomenal – offering lots of tips and support throughout the trip. The place was very clean. I felt very welcomed and felt I had made a new friend by the end of the week.
Overall, I cannot recommend this space enough – comfort, cleanliness, safety and friendly service made for a wonderful space.

We had a group of 4 and I was surprised how hard it was to find a place with two bedrooms. Anyway, the staff was very courteous and kind. We were provided with refillable water bottles, snacks, and drinks in the room. They were very knowledgeable about where to go and how to travel. One not so great thing was the A/C in the living room did not work well, but the one in the bedroom worked very well. The tram entrance was very close to the room as well as many restaurants. This hotel is perfect for a family of four and located right next to the metro and a block from two grocery stores. The room was clean and had everything you need - small kitchen, air conditioning, pull-out bed for kids or another couple, outlets with coveters, sparkling or filtered water dispenser in the lobby, and friendly/helpful staff. I am celiac and the host gave me numerous recommendations of where to eat and shop.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Very centrally located. Service and communication was fantastic. Super clean and comfortable. Had everything you’d need, full kitchen! (We didn’t use, but still amazing). We were given recommendations and suggestions for around Paris and local restaurants. This would be our go-to hotel in Paris. It held our family of 6 perfectly.

Solid option in great location
I was expecting our stay to be incredible based on the reviews. We definitely had an incredible welcome but I thought the apartment was starting to look a little tired and could do with a re-paint. We really struggled to sleep but the apartment air condition was turned off (and not turned on even when we asked as room was 27 degrees at night). Location was wonderful, if I was to stay again I’d book a bigger space and make sure it was after 15th May when air con was officially turned on.

EXCELLENT property. Philip was especially very accommodating. The neighborhood is cute with tons of places to eat at. We found a local bar that we went to every night. 30 minute walk to Vendome. If you want to feel like a real local this is the place to stay at!

Consistently good level of service: clean, great location (close to the tube, a 25 minute walk into the city centre and 10 minutes from Gare du Nord), great kitchen and bathroom facilities and lots of complimentary drinks and snacks.

We were very happy with our stay at Le Matissia. We booked a rental car and wished we hadn't because the Metro is around the corner and across the street and we ended up not using our rental car except to go to the Palace of Versailles and Giverny (Monet's home and elaborate gardens). We booked the Panoramic Suite 2 Bedrooms and it was very nice. The apartment was exactly what we needed. I was so happy that there was a shower and sink in each of the rooms. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rooms were clean. We would stay here again in a heartbeat if we visit Paris again in the future.

Excellent large apartment style room. So comfortable for myself with 2 teenagers. Location good and amenities close. Loved they had a steamer for clothes, water and umbrellas! Highly recommend for families and anyone who wants to feel like they are living in Paris.

However, our room, the Honeymoon suite was perfect - huge and I mean huge bathtub, comfy bed, kitchen, etc. okayIf you are just going to stay in your room which is what we did the night before we left Paris, it’s fine.
