This is the second time we’ve stayed here and we love it. The rooms are modest but clean and the breakfast is great. We appreciate the elevator and the gracious staff. The hotel is near a metro station as well as two major train stations making getting around very convenient. Lots of cafes, bakeries and restaurants nearby and a small grocery store around the corner are very convenient.

The hotel is tiny but clean and has everything you need. The only downside was the broken elevator which was hard to get the luggage to and from the 4th floor. Everything is in a walkable distance and the staff was very friendly, however don’t expect an early check in, seems like it doesn’t exist in Paris;)

Lovely room on the 6th floor with exposed beams and high ceiling, however the lift only goes to the 4th floor and it was difficult getting a very large and heavy suitcase up the narrow spiral staircase, would have taken 2 smaller ones if we’d have realised

The room was very small. Your knees were basically under the sink when sitting on the toilet. The shower didn’t drain well and had no lip to keep the water in so there was water all over the bathroom floor after the first person showered. There was also something brown spattered across one of the bathroom walls. The headboard was made of some sort of metal and so the side of the pillow that had been propped against the headboard when the bed was done up smelled like metal and even using the “good” side of the pillow, I smelled the metal headboard all night. There is an elevator but it’s super small and when you get off the elevator onto your floor, you still have to use some stairs to get to your room since you get off on a small platform with stairs leading up and down from it to get to the rooms. I had booked a room with a double bed but upon arrival, they gave me a room with 3 twin beds instead. I told the front-desk woman and she quickly switched me to a room with a double bed. I had no issues with the staff. There is a nice restaurant right beside the hotel and a bakery/boulangerie on the next street corner.

We loved our attic room at Chabrol. The room was beautiful and modern while keeping parts of the old building, like the roof beams, visible. At first we were worried when we got to our room as it was quite warm, but we opened the window and had a very comfortable night. The bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have two single beds for our kids, as they refuse to share. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, but missing alternative milk option and decaf coffee. All in all we had a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again if we returned to Paris in future. PS: our kids loved the lift, as it was all glass and they could see us pass the different floors. There is even a hidden statue to discover on the way!

There is also a safe in the room. You can find lots of restaurants in the vicinity. The only think I would complain is there was no mini fridge in the room.

Chabrol Opera was exactly what I needed-- easy walk from Gare du Nord, and a simple room to spend the night! I was able to drop off my bag before checking in, and leave it there after checking out the next morning-- extremely convenient. Was also able to use their wifi in the lobby to map out my next couple of hours. Would stay again!

Very noisy, not be able to rest well.

Almost no sound barrier between each room. The noise from next door can be clearly heard and quite disturbing. The room I been given is at the top floor. The ceiling of that room is quite low, if not be careful it is very likely to bang your head on the ceiling. Also the washroom is extremely tight in space.

Good location near Gare du Nord. Friendly and helpful staff. No A/C in rooms which were very hot although it was September. Can't imagine how hot it would be in the middle of the summer. Staff dowstairs had A/C though. Bathroom did not have a fan which made the small room even hotter after a shower. Finally rooms were quiet and cleanliness was ok.

Room was a lot smaller than initially pictured. “Ghetto” elevator which was a tight fit for 2 people and a suitcase. Sheets and pillows were dirty and we ended up pushing the bed against the window and put the chair on top of the dresser so we could have room to open a suitcase. Daily housekeeping regardless if you want it or not. Phone didn’t work either, couldn’t call the front desk.

I thought this was a very well set out room - small, but that's as expected for the price/location and making excellent use of space. Good quality bath/shower, comfortable bed, welcoming staff. They also provided a baggage room where you could leave luggage after check out so we could go for a wander in Paris unencumbered.

This was a nice place to stay with very comfy beds and a nice bathroom with a rainfall shower. The room was a decent size and I had a comfortable stay. Please note the Expedia page and the hotels website says the rooms will have a courtesy tray with tea coffee kettle and coffee maker. This was not in the room and when we inquired if we could have a kettle they said it was not part of the room and was impossible that the website would say this as the hotel had no kettles! We were on the 5th floor and the wifi in our room was very poor. Also from the elevator to get to the 5th floor there was about 8 stairs we had to climb. This wasn’t a problem for us although could be difficult for some people to carry luggage up the stairs. I will note other receptionists were much friendlier than the man who checked us in and said a kettle was impossible. The other receptionist were very helpful and friendly! Overall this was a comfortable hotel room that I enjoyed staying in.

The price paid, does not match with the room.
1.Room extra small, i wass allocated in the last floor which doesn’t have elevator, so i had to manage my self by stair and my luggage.
2. No air conditioner, its a basic service a, and any room have it
4. We used to sleep with the window open due to lag de airconditioner , and lot of mosquitos by night
3. Don’t book this hotel based on Photos, it is not as appears (is smaller and cleanless)
4. The area is not friendly, from Gare du nord to the hotel have to walk by couple of weird streets , which sometimes felt at risk
5. No privacy, you can hear everything of next room

The staff was very friendly and kind, it helps a lot on my travel to the airport 5.0 to the staff

Overall a good hotel to stay at on a budget. Definitely keep your expectations low because Paris is expensive. But this hotel offered me a place to stay with my own (albeit tiny) bathroom. You can hear nearby rooms and their noises. Room amenities seem a bit aged. The bed wasn't too comfortable and the pillow was rather flattened over long period of usage. For the budget thought it's definitely a good option considering it's also very close to Metro Line 7 and Gare du Nord.

The property itself is lovely - location is close to the Gare du Nord, very easily accessible to the metro and plenty of little bars and restaurants nearby. It's a 30-40 minute walk into the centre of Paris. The public areas of the hotel need a little updating but overall, I would stay here again most definitely.

It was so unbelievably hot. We stayed in the summer there was no airconditioning in the property. Theres a fan. I almost died of suffocation. Worst property Ive ever been to. Theres an elevator but it only goes by floor and there is still stairs to get to your room for each floor so you still have to carry your big luggages up the stairs. We wanted cold refreshments at night because it was too hot and their vending machine in the lobby does not work. It is all for show. I do not recommend this place even if your only there to sleep because you wont even be able to sleep. Im sure 2 star hotels are better than this unless you want to sleep in a sauna.

Our room was very cute! The shower was great! There was a gentleman working at the front desk that was very friendly, nice, and helpful! The down side was our room was hot (no ac). Also, we were on the top floor, which was the 6th floor, but the elevator only goes to the fourth floor. We had to carry 3 large suitcases up some very narrow stairs.

Chose this place because of location. Was nothing like the photos.Room was tiny with plaster falling off walls. Could not get easy access to one side of bed. Limited space for suitcases. Definitely needs to be spruced up a bit. Cleaning left a lot to be desired. Access ro room was difficult with lift stopping between floors so there was always stairs to navigate. Service was the only positive.

The hotel is the most unprofessional i have ever been. The rooms are nothing like they show in the pictures. When we reached we were given a room just beside the reception which had hardly any space even to walk. It was a small room in which i could not even fit my luggage. The washroom was even more terrible. The toilet seat was just in front of the wash basin. It was the most disgusting washroom i have used. When we asked the staff to change our rooms they said that since we only booked for 2 days they could only give us other room. Their better rooms were available for people who had booked for minimum 7 days. I felt like a complete fool to have paid so much and get a poor quality room with not even a water kettle or even a working phone. After much discussion and when i told them that i would take this up with expedia they agreed to change my room only for the next day. The room which was given for next day was a top floor attic room in which we could barely stand. The room was on 6 floor and the lift was only till 4th floor. We had to take our luggage ourselves through the stairs. Don't even think about booking this hotel if you are used to professional people with customer centric attitude. They just care about the money and the hotel is not even worth any rating. I would have preferred to stay in a hostel. And i urge expedia to please verify the bookings with the hotel before showing the customers false advertising and encouraging such behavior.

We slept in a 4 person bedroom for which you have to take the stairs from the 4th floor as the lift doesn’t go up past that. Lift only fits 2-3 people at a time. None of this was a big deal we’re only there 2 nights. Staff were incredibly helpful with all our requests. And our room was small and cramped but still charming and clean. The location was great, 7 min walk from the Gare Du Nord, and 15 min walk from the Sacre Coer. Everything was worth it’s price (in Parisian standards). Also the Korean restaurant next door was really tasty

The space to get through the doorway and into the room was tight, there was a wardrobe and a desk and chair place opposite each other which left a very tight space to get through with luggage after opening their heavy room door. The door into the bathroom was a bit stupid, a noisy sliding door with gaps so it was possible to see the person having a showering, not great when you're daughter and father sharing a room. No obvious plug sockets, have to push the beds out the way to reveal the plug sockets. The light switches were right above the beds so there's no way you can sit up and lean back against the wall in bed without turning your room lights off. One light in the bathroom was broken so wasn't very bright in the shower. You can hear noise from outside in the streets and people going in and out of their rooms

This property was nothing like the pictures don’t be fooled. Doesn’t even have a bar fridge. Got there at night, called reception for some water and was told that there was no bottled water and it should be okay to drink from the tap in the bathroom. The safe was closed so I couldn’t store my passport in there when I arrived, when I brang up this issue with reception I was told I had to wait the following night for someone to come with the code. Terrible hotel terrible! Nothing like the pictures! Could also hear banging and footsteps all night from the room above

Overall it's a good choice, room fits well two people and has three beds, which in this case could be a little tight for three. Room was clean enough and bathroom had decent amenities. unfortunately the lift was out of service at arrival, so it was not nice to bring the luggage up. Areq is great, very close do Gare du Nord. It's worth the money you pay!

Good location,quaint hotel, good value. Minuses old carpet odd color does not match the rest of decor. Vinyl floor would have been nicer. If you are a light sleeper you can hear everything through door and you can sorta hear the metro since it's only one block away ( but location is to metro is a big plus!)
If you are sensitive to smoke they don't have \"non smoking rooms only\"

Ok for a couple of nights in Paris

It's smaller than What is shown on photos. Coukd barely fit in bathroom. Stayed in room 1 right next to reception and could hear everyone that come through doors also receptionist talking. Area is good close to main train station Gare du Nord.

Lovely hotel, room was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a third floor room and this was ample size as was only needed to shower and sleep. 2 minute walk to the metro and only 10 minute walk to Gare du Nord so brilliant location. Would definitely recommend

Gorgeous modern rooms cleaned to a high standard everyday.
All staff were pleasant however there was a particular member of staff who worked at nights a male we never got his name he was amazing gave us plenty of tips of where to go and where to eat, very friendly and caring member of staff.
Literally 2 minute walk from Gare Du Nord and the metro Poissonnaire at the end of the road takes you to the whole of Paris (the map the gentleman gave us on reception on our first night was our lifeline we used this to get around all day everyday)
We didn’t eat in the hotel but it looked very clean, modern and pleasant in the reception/food area.
Cosy hotel that made us feel at home after s long day of exploring would definitely recommend and definitely stay here again.
