The proximity to the Gare du Nord can't be beat, and the room--while small--was comfortable and well-appointed with a great bed and pillows and easy to use shower. The bathroom even had a window with a view!

We had just a one night stay to break up our journey from Strasbourg back to London and Hotel Whistler was extremely convenient on the doorstep of Gare De L'est. The railway theme was quirky and although the room was small it was well designed to make use of the space. The bedroom was clean and comfortable with a spacious shower room. Definitely recommend for a stopover.

Highly recommend this hotel. Clean rooms, friendly helpful staff and amazing location on the steps of Gare du Nord. There is a railway theme in the hotel with a station waiting room theme breakfast room and even a model railway running around the lobby! They are happy to store your luggage if you arrive early or need to leave after checkout.

Bathroom was spotless with wonderful shower. Despite being in busy area there was zero street noise.

Location is good for exploring Montmartre and Pigalle but also Marais. The Metro is just 10 seconds from the hotel and very well connected.

Breakfast was from 7am and very generous with lots of options for meat and non-meat eaters.

I would definitely recommend Whistler and next time I’m back in Paris I will return!!

If you are a woman and traveling by yourself please DO NOT book this hotel. Even though it’s the closest to the public transportation, but it’s not the safest place to be for a woman. The staff is wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. When I was staying there, there was some construction going on outside, there was loud noises early in the morning, not letting me have enough rest.

As might be expected, you do hear the rumble of the metro below.
I'd left my earplugs on the train, but actually, my sleep was not disturbed.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and cleverly styled, but fairly small, not a lot of room around the bed; and the ceilings are somewhat low. I'm 5' 7\", and I could reach up and touch them. Taller people may find them unsuitable. The balconies are fairly shallow. You couldn't really put a chair out on them. You have to climb out a window to get onto them. Not really what I pictured. The rooms are very quiet though. When the windows are shut, you hear none of the street noise. The bathroom, especially the shower, was very nice. The bathroom had a towel warmer–not an amenity that I'm used to seeing. USB charging ports were available, but not the quick-charge kind. There is some light leakage around the window curtains in the morning—but that is true of pretty much every hotel everywhere. If you are in Paris, you're probably not going to be sleeping in anyway. The hotel staff spoke English well enough that communication was not a problem. I did not opt for breakfast at the hotel.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Well kept property, clean and furnished rooms, comfortable bed, large shower, all appliances worked aa intended, safe location, across the street from the Gare Du Nord train station, and friendly staff (shoutout to Baid for an enjoyable experience). Will definitely be back when travelling to Paris in the future.

Easy, quick check in, top floor room, bottle of wine in the room for us, big windows to balcony, 3 mins walk to Gare du Nord, less than 10 mins walk from Gare du Est, bed was ok, had comfier but it’s not too bad. There was also breakfast, which we didn’t have (18 euros), coffee, wine, etc available which you just filled out what you took and charge to room. Overall, would use again for a night or 2.

On arrival late in the evening, we were told that someone else had been checked into our room. It turned out that someone from a completely different hotel managed to get into our room and check-in with a passport and a completely different name. This made us feel very unsafe since obviously the staff were not diligent with proper checks. We were told they’d need to ask those guests to leave the room and we could then go in. We were not offered any kind of compensation or a clean room due to their error. Once we entered the room, we were very disappointed. The TV did not work, the bed was a wall bed so not a proper one at all, and very small. Our room was directly next to the kitchen on the very ground floor of the hotel (less than 10m from reception) and was directly by the street. We were woken up at 5am while the kitchen staff were getting breakfast ready. Although we were apologised to, there was no attempt to make our stay more comfortable given our terrible experience nor give us a discount or refund. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely do not understand the 4* they have.

Creative use of small space with all necessary parts provided, even a bathrobe and slippers. The location one block from Gare du Nord was so convenient, with no noise coming in at all. The neighborhood is not great, but not dangerous and with the metro right there, it's easy to get to other parts of town. Breakfast was good, reasonable and convenient. We were able to hop on the RER to the airport without having to deal with traffic.

We booked to stay at The Whistler Hotel because of the proximity to Gare Du Nord. We'd read some reviews that mention the area itself being a bit sketchy, but it didn't put us off - and I'm pleased it didn't because our stay was excellent!

We arrived at Gare Du Nord and found the hotel immediately. There were some questionable characters around the area, but once you step inside, the street outside ceases to exist.

Friendly and pleasant hotel. I stayed for 1 night, arriving on the Eurostar, and taking an onward train from Gare du Nord the following morning. For this, the hotel is ideally situated - 2 minutes walk from the front of Gare du Nord.
The surrounding area is not the most inspiring - but as a functional place to stay it was just what I needed. The room was a bit small (but this is Paris, so it’s normal). The bathroom was modern and clean, and the bed comfy. For solo travel and a layover before taking the train the next morning, this was ideal.

Close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. Was given an accessible room without asking. I am 1.92m tall so everything too low. Room was too warm and air con was disabled. Street was loud and smelly so opening windows not an option. Otherwise fine - shower was great.

We stayed at the Hotel Whistler for two nights in Paris after a ski vacation in the Alps. We wanted easy access to the RER train to Charles de Gaulle airport back to the States. The hotel was a gem. It is designed like the old \"overnight sleeper car trains\" of the 1940s and '50s which may sound corny, but its not. It shows the elegance of travel during this time period and its extremely well-thought out, and elegantly done. And the balcony in our room looked right at the Gare du Nord. The rooms actually feel like you are on a 1st class sleeper car, but larger and better than a train. The bed is way comfortable and the bathroom is 5 star. (the sink in particular is awsome). There is a 24/7 espresso machine you can use and an honor bar for spirits and wine. Every staff member we encountered, from check in to housecleaning, were friendly and seemed to like working there. One of the other real benefits is that it is located around the corner from Terminus Nord, maybe one of the best bistros in Paris. Great food, great atmosphere. I'd stay here again in a flash.

Just what we needed

Quirky room decorated like inside of train car. Across the street from Eurostar station making it extremely easy to take an early train. Took early train from London to Paris for a full day trip. Hotel let us store our luggage all day. Went out sightseeing & returned to hotel to check-in at 10 PM, slept, woke up boarded an early morning train back to London. Had a balcony room, but it is not a balcony you can sit on, more of an extended window ledge.

A beautiful boutique piece of art made with love and attention to details. Love the room which is so cute and smartly designed to take advantage of the limited Parisian scarce space. Your first impression is wow so cute, which speaks out.

The recitation gentleman, Charles, received us with a very warm and kind, fun welcome and he has been very kind and nice - 7 stars to this nice and convenient location surrounded by everything.

We loved it and thank the managment and staff for keeping this place so nice

Great stay for a single overnight before an early morning train at Gare du Nord. We stayed in a balcony room, which gave nice views up and down the street and let in plenty of light. Double windows really helped to soundproof the room and keep it at a comfortable temperature with the AC on. The location isn't in the best part of Paris, so I wouldn't choose to stay here for a holiday, but for an overnight adjacent to the train station it is perfect.

A touch of boutique luxury
