I was honestly pretty disappointed with my stay. The room felt cold and run down, and it looked nothing like the photos on Expedia. The overall condition didn’t match what was advertised, which was frustrating—especially for the price.

I even paid extra for a balcony, and that ended up being a mistake. It definitely wasn’t worth the additional cost, and the room itself didn’t feel well maintained.

The one positive was the staff—they were kind and helpful throughout my stay, which I really appreciated.

The main reason I chose this hotel was for the convenient location, since I had an early train from Gare du Nord. For that purpose, it worked. But aside from location and the friendly staff, the hotel itself didn’t deliver the value it claims, especially at that price point.

I wouldn’t stay here again unless location was the only priority.

The hotel was close to gard de nord and easy to local.
Friendly staff who appreciated you speaking French but will also be able to help you in English when needed. Rooms were clean. Note the elevator is small, but that’s all elevators in Pairs. So if you are travelling with a giant checked bag, put the bag in the elevator and just take the stairs next to it.

A great location for the Gare du Nord which is around 5 minutes walk away so a late arrival or an early depart makes this hotel ideal, small but clean rooms with a reasonable size and again clean bathroom, eateries close by so again ideal for a late Eurostar arrival.

Convenient location. Lobby is very chic, the room was cute albeit small. The bathroom could use a renovation. The paint was peeling in many places and the shower leaked water. It was pretty clean too. The personnel was nice except one girl who could not print my boarding pass and told me to go somewhere else. The worst part - is the noise. My room looked onto Blvd Magenta and the noise was unbearable, with the closed windows it was like they were open and the sirens, cars, super busy city noise was too much.

Hotel Lena was a great option in a good location...centrally located and an easy walk to the train stations. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was cozy. A bit noisy, but the windows were good at soundproofing and muted most of the traffic.

The only real concern is that I could see mold trying to come through the paint on the walls of my room. I kept the windows open to air the room as much as possible and didn't notice any issues otherwise.

Perfect location to explore Paris from.

Small budget hotel in a great location being just around the corner from one of the main train stations, it’s ok, you are save despite when you may have read.

As expected the room was cozy but had everything we need for a short 3 night stay.

Check in was a breeze and the lady was very friendly with excellent English. We had not paid for breakfast, but could have if we wished.

The bathroom does not have much in the way of shampoo, just 3 small bottles, one shampoo one shower gel, but carry our own.

The room was a little warm at times as it was hard to get it just right, older building syndrome.

Despite being in a Main Street we were not disturbed.

The elevator is small, and the stairs are narrow and steep mobility challenged people you have been warned.

Would definitely stay here again when, we come back to Paris again.

The hotel is in walking distance from the stations Gare du Nord, Gare de L‘est and Magenta, so it‘s easy to get to many destinations in the city. The staff is very friendly. There is a small elevator which I recommend, because the stairway is very narrow and crooked, I almost stumbled a few times. Our room was very small, without a wardrobe and with a single nightstand on one side of the bed. There is no trash bin and the one in the bathroom had no bag in it. Also the provided bar of soap comes with no dish to place it on. The shower was very leaky, so the floor always got wet after showering. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good, except for the mold on the ceiling. If you are sensitive to noise, earplugs are an absolute must, because the doors shut very loudly and the air ventilation in the bathroom runs all night making a loud noise. There is no way to turn it off. The bed was very comfortable and quite big, that was a plus. All in all we had a pretty nice stay except for the things I named.

Stayed here 3 nights in Dec '24. Hotel was very nice, city hotel (small) to be sure. Good location (2 blocks from the Eurostar) still only a 35 min walk to the Louvre. Once you get a couple of blocks from Gare du Nord the streets/neighborhoods are Paris as expected. This was our first time in Paris and I must say it is the city of sirens, felt like a Jason Bourne movie the whole time. Our room faced the boulevard and the noise level was as if the windows were open but they weren't. Completely understand it's in a city but better windows would mitigate the noise somewhat. The hotel was happy to move us the third night, but we didn't want to move all our things. Wouldn't kill them to add a fridge but maybe that is not a Parisian thing.

Well you get what you pay for. And it doesn't go far in the middle of Paris. My room was tiny. There was an average of about 1m around the three sides of the bed so once I was in there, with my luggage there was no space to move. The bathroom was modern and clean. But the place generally had a dingy, tired, hostel air and had an air freshener atmosphere suggestive of a certain kind of local establishment; they make you sign a waiver document when you check in, which adds to the impression of uncertainty. But if you're staying a night because you're getting a train from the Gare du Nord in the morning, you could probably cope. I just think that there may well be better options that meet that criteria. And don't be caught out by the 11am check-out.

The hotel is super well decorated with great Parisian vibes. The staff was very warm and helpful (across all three people we met during our stay). It’s also very well connected as it’s between gare du Nord and gare de l’est.

However, the room was tiny and hence somewhat claustrophobic. The carpet felt unclean. And the area was unsafe in the evenings. Locals confirmed the same about the area. Decent food options but again, not the best environment.

If you want a place with a bed that’s easy walking distance (slightly uphill) to Paris Gare Du Nord this is the only good thing I have to say. Room was the size of a walk-in closet. If you are overweight, bring a shoehorn to fit into the shower. No control over room temperature. In addition to the typical room light control activated by a keycard all the light switches have timers that turn off the room lights when least expected! I believe in energy conservation, but this is ridiculous. Arrived late evening, gentleman who checked us in was surly and no help with our luggage.
We expected better for the price paid.

Really perfect for what we were looking for. A short walk from both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, so it's very easy to get anywhere in the city quickly. Our room was clean, relatively updated and modern, and the bathroom was nice as well. The shower was tight, but you can't really fault that considering the size of some of the rooms.

The hotel was nice. I booked through Hotels.com but had to call the hotel directly to make an occupancy change.
when we arrived, the hotel had no record of communication for the room change. The manager had a room available which suited our needs. The bathroom was not in the best condition with mold spots on the ceiling. We made a suggestion to Lysol the bathroom and wipe off the mold, which was not done.

The Staff Could be Trained More.

Our stay was great until the last minute we were about to check out. To be honest, I am hesitant to write this review yet I believe the Hotel could learn something and improve.

We arrived hotel at about mid night and our room was pre-paid. During check in, since the room had been paid we only be asked the city tax which we paid with card. The Hotel is situated in a great location, very stragegic for public transportation, room was clean and quiet. Overall the room was really great value for money.

Then the issue happened in the very morning when we were about to check out / chase our train. During check in unfortunately the staff miss booked 1 cent (0.01 euro) and we were asked to close the bill. We were cooperatively paying with 2 euro coin, then the staff give us 1.95 change without saying anything?? My wife counted it and asked them to return 1.99 to be exact. The staff was busy trying to find 4 cents and after 11 minutes they eventually gave the change completely.

This kind of problem should not be happened in the first place. Our experience was all great and yet we left with not great memory about the hotel is very unfortunate. Hope this kind of issue could be discussed and the staff could handle it with more flexibility. It was the hotel who miss booked 1 cent and the customer was cooperatively cover the mistake.

Great to find this place when we arrived at about midnight. The area around wasn’t exactly friendly at that time of night so we were happy to find somewhere safe and comfortable. Close to gard du nord and the metro with nice boulongeries and monmarte close by the next morning. The rooms are tight but clean and comfortable. Would stay again but arrive at different time. One negative would be the renovations starting early in the next room quite early but I guess they have to start some time. For the price and location, very good.

Staff manning reception desk were friendly and helpful. Hotel looks as if it has recently been refurbished and public areas were clean and well decorated. There is a lift to the upper floors so guests don't have to struggle up the stairs with heavy luggage. Bedroom and shower room were very clean. Bed was comfortable and the TV worked. Despite my room being next to the lift it was very quiet as was the air-conditioning unit in my room so I slept soundly. This hotel is surrounded by restaurants and is just a few minutes walk away from Gare du Nord so it is ideally placed for Eurostar travellers. My only minor criticism is that the ensuite shower room is quite small but for me staying for one night it wasn't a problem.

I would definitely stay again.

The rooms are small, but that’s to be expected in Paris. If you tend to get warm or need air circulation, this can be an issue. If the staff does not feel it’s cool enough to turn on the AC. I managed by opening the window and felt safe doing so. the front desk, staff is extremely helpful and courteous.

Cons: stingy with bath towels ( i requested via a note from housekeeping no extras were given I was showering morning and night so 2 towels for 2 people was a push. Asked for room with a view. Was advised these were prioritised for.ppl who booked directly with hotel, not via expedia. We were given a back view. The shower in room 203 was super confusing to work. And the roilet seat was cracked down the middle which was awkward to use incase it pinched. Needs replaced. Door for bathroom is sliding so no secrets of whats happening in the loo between you and your roommate 😂

I really liked the modern lobby area as well as the room we stayed in, but WAY too small. If you are travelling from overseas, please bring a small carry-on luggage. The washrooms could use a bit of an upgrade especially the showers...very hard to maneuver around (and I am petite) and water was constantly getting all over the floor which was quite bothersome. There was also quite a bit of noticeable black mold all around the window area...I'm hoping the hotel can look into that...

Also shower curtain in place instead of cubicle. Weird smell coming from the heating. The air conditioning didn't work work very well. The room was very warm. We did not call the desk because we got in so late (11:30 pm) and were ready to go to sleep. I also received several calls from someone claiming to be from the hotel telling me I needed to pay more money for taxes. This happened after I checked out face to face with the same gentlemen that checked us in and he told me I was good to go.

Sehr sauberes Hotel, sehr sehr nettes Personal, Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, Bad war sehr sauber, optimal für ein Städtetrip. 5 min zu Fuß v. Gare de l‘Est, jede Menge Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor der Tür (von einer Markthalle bis Aldi und Bäckereien). Wir waren sehr sehr zufrieden.

Très bon accueil, très bonne ambiance, des rires et de la bienveillance de la part du personnel.
Chambre petite, aucun rangement possible, pas de bureau.
Isolation horrible (prévoyez boules quies pour dormir)
Literie très confortable.
J'ai pris le petit déjeuner une seule fois : pas de choix ni en boissons chaudes, ni froides ni pour manger, jambon blanc gris car pas du jour.
Cher pour le rapport qualité-prix
