The receptionist took a long time to attend to us and put us on the 4th floor, but the elevator was broken. He said all you had to do was take the elevator, as if he didn't know it was broken. There was even a sign on the elevator door warning about it. We had to climb stairs with heavy luggage. The bathroom smelled like sewage.

Small rooms, tiniest elevator you will ever see but it works. Very good location and friendly staff. Did not eat at the breakfast buffet but looked good. Our room to the courtyard was very quiet. Great bakeries in walking distance. Would stay again if I had a couple of days and needed to take the train out of Gare de l’Est.

Very handy if you’re travelling from the Gare du Nord or Gare de l’est. Canal St Martin is an excellent place to walk and go for a drink. Hotel was fine apart from the hot water which took a few minutes to work.

Bien que rénovée la chambre avait un mur piqué d'humidité sous la fenêtre ainsi qu'un coin de salle de bain sale et non entretenu sous le lavabo. Chambre par ailleurs très petite et ascenceur extrêmement petit et vétuste. Enfin le chauffage n'était pas mis dans la chambre a l'arrivée et la chambre était non seulement glaciale mais les draps presque humides. Pas conforme au prix et aux 3 étoiles.

Our experience was AMAZING!!!! The staff especially were so full of Light and Kindness! Every single of them made us feel welcomed and loved! Especially the manager! (We came in as guests and they all felt like family when we left!). The manager was absolutely amazing! We are wrapping the entire team of workers in our Infinite Love and Gratitude for the wonderful job they do at making the Ibis such a wonderful place to stay! Bravo to the Dream team at the Ibis!!!

I had a perfect room for 1 but would have liked a fridge and kettle. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast provided is sufficient and premises clean. It isn’t the classiest area to be in but was close to Gare du Nord, which was what I required and all the sights I wanted to see were within walking distance.

Very comfortable stay!

Was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the room for the price. Clean, quiet and very comfortable with helpful staff. We could leave our bags after check-out until train later on that day. Would definitely stay at an Ibis hotel again!

Convenient short stay location

Its very handy for train stations Gare de L’Est Gare du Nord and whole Paris transport network really. Not that far from City Centre. It’s clean and everything works but the rooms are pretty small and the area is noisy. Fine for a short stay, you’d probably want more comfort if you were staying longer

The hotel is quite dark and unwelcome.
Tiny kind of clean but once you get to the corridor enter your room the mouldy smell stinks the whole time. And you wish you had booked another place. The shower room en suite as well stinks mould/humid.

Close to Gare d’Est and still within short walking distance from Gare du Nord. Room kept clean but looked a little tired and sofa bed already prepared. Not having fridge or kettle wasn’t a major issue as I left early for very early TGV trip, but given the price it would be good to have at least a kettle with coffee tea etc. Otherwise clean bathroom and no problem checking in and out with a friendly staff.

We’ve stayed at Ibis properties before and thought this would be of the same standard. Not at all. I had to go back and look at reviews which helped make the decision to stay. I will read much closer next time and review the pictures much more scrupulously.
Pros: Around the corner from L’Est train station and an 8 min walk from Nord; Lots of food variety in area; English speaking staff
Cons: Elevator fits 1 person and their luggage; Facility has only 1 iron for entire property; Room was the size of an American closet; if there were any other amenities outside of breakfast, we were not made aware.
It served the purpose of having somewhere to sleep since we country hopped during the day.

en general la amabilidad del personal muy bueno. super simpaticos y te ayudan en todo momento. Manel con la cual coincidimos varios dias en recepcion, nos ayudo bastante con un cambio en la habitacion, y con preguntas en general. el hotel esta bien situado a pocos pasos de la estacion del Este. Desayuno correcto con lo esencial pero rico. volveria a repetir sin duda!

A really depressing hotel. The room was shabby with scuffs on the walls and a very depressing feel about it. There was one plug socket for the whole room and the phone was dumped on the floor. Really miserable for the price.

Excellent location for our needs - close to two major train stations (Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord) so getting around was very easy. Tons of food options within 5 minute walk (fast food and cafes). Room was small but served our purpose of a place to sleep and a bathroom - housekeeping made our beds every day and kept the room clean. Only downside to property is the TINY elevator. It is literally the size of an old school phone booth and is temperamental. We were on the second floor, so we used the stairs for everything. Overall excellent hotel and would definitely stay again.

The front deadk staff could not have been nicer abd more accommodating. They were excellent our toom was vkean and modern and tiny. Bed was comfortable. Shower was also tiny so if you are a large person, I di not recommend hotel. Breakfast was average.

Such a cute and affordable hotel! The rooms were very clean and had everything that we needed. The beds were very comfortable and there were blackout curtains as well as iron curtains outside the window for additional safety. The only downside about our room was that we were not able to stream content from our phones to the TV. But other members of our party were able to do this for their TVs.

The best part about the hotel (other than the price) was how close it was to not only one, but two large train stations. Gare du Nord is the station we took to and from the airport. We also did a day trip to London leaving from this station. It’s about a 15 min walk away. Gare De’Lest is a huge metro station that made it easy to get anywhere in the city. This was less than a 5 min walk away.

The neighborhood is very young with a lot of nightlife within walking distance. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. The best was a pasty shop called Farine & O. Very delicious, fresh and affordable.

Overall I give this hotel 5 stars for safety, walkability, convenience, and comfort.

Weekend in Paris

We just needed a simple hotel room for 1 night. Convenient spot for metro/trains and good price. The lift was exceptionally small so bear that in mind if you need to use one. Room was quiet and use was perfect for what was needed.

This hotel is clean and ideally placed next to Gare de l’Est and the staff are lovely. However, your room key does not open the front door (so you have to wait for staff to let you in), most rooms are in a separate building across a courtyard. This building has an incredibly claustrophobic lift (literally 1 person maximum). We had a leaky shower that runs hot to cold constantly, and our ‘double bed’ had a single pillow when we arrived.

Firstly, it my fault for booking in such a lousy area,i really should have known better. however, i thought IBIS Hotels had a higher standard, especially from padt experience.
on arrival, we were allocated a room on the ground floor, which wasnt whatcwe eoykd have expected, and the lights in the room didnt work. after a bit of procrastination, the reception desk decided to put us in another room, gtoubd floor again, right by reception... it was rhe disabled access room,. it was clean but not much dpace in the room. The Aircon fidnt wrk snd there was no remote control for the TV. it took two attempts to get a remote. They didnt make up our room on 2nd day the night staff girl said she thinks it was because of CVID. No one told us this and we left out wet towels on the bathroom floor.
the bed was very comfortable and they made up the room on 3rd day.... it was just a bad choice and certainly not value for money. i pickex the crap IBIS from the three in the area.... it happens!

Clean sheets and a convenient location for Gard du Nord/de L’est. small room we paid for a room for 3 adults with double and single bed and were given a double with a camp bed. Just about reasonable for the price but beware the hotel tried to charge me on arrival despite having already paid on Expedia. This took a while and various phone calls to solve despite me having my email booking confirmation.

Good location for amenities

Overall the hotel was great only missing a few basic facilities i.e no hot drinks station in the room.
Unfortunately the location is in a noisy part of the city, so I was awoken a few times by screaming or load noises. Obviously this is no fault of the hotel.
The positive side of its location is its close to the metro and restaurants.
