At the bottom of the side road next to the hotel there was a road with lots of bars with a vibe and eating places and a monoprix. It was a 30min pleasant walk to the Louvre and close to the Gare du Nord so great all round.

Room was very dusty, which affected my allergy and asthma , shower head was thick with limescale, and beds were so uncomfortable. There was was no soundproofing, and you could hear everythjng outside, and there people shouting outside all night, along woth constant car horns and sirens.upon arrival the hotel was surrounded by dealers. It felt unsafe, looked unsafe. The area looked very rough. We checked out early and had to spend another £500 to spend the rest of our holiday at another hotel. I will be asking for a refund.

I know this a cheap and cheerful place, in a poor area of Paris near the main railway lines. However, I had a top floor room where the Eaves made for a very uncomfortable night, The toilet was under the eaves so you can imagine how awkward that is. The sink was tiny and hud no plug cover so when I dropped my toothpaste lid, it fell straight down the plug hole. The shower head couldn't fix on the wall so I had to hold in my hand whilst showering. There were no TV channels, despite trying to retune the TV. Breakfast was a non event, they charge €10 for it, all they had was cereal and croissants bread. Nothing else. So I had cereal but they couldn't even provide a table spoon to eat that with. Had to use a tea spoon. Luckily I was only there for one night.

Hey, this is a 2* hotel, dont expect 4*. However, we found the staff welcoming and friendly, the room was comfortable and clean. Continental breakfast was very nice. 20-25 minute walk to the Lourve and 10 minutes from Gare Du Nord.

Location is very good , so many food outlets around , location is great, very close to metro stations and bus transport. However become noisy in the morning due to heavy traffic in close vicinity.

Hotel , room was very small, the private bathroom was small and cramped, the bath area was elevated and risky for older people because of tub slope .

Receptionists we met from time to time , one female and two males, were very nice and supportive, very helpful and speak and understand English well.

Keeping in view the low budget hotel , I will rank the hotel excellent for its location and staff , however for room itself is good , and the washroom was average.

The hotel in very bad location. It is un safe area, you will feel likethere are gangs around you. The room is very dirty and the bed sheets is not clean my son got bitten by bedbugs. He was very itchy and we felt dirty everytime we sat on the beds. And we had to buy him medicine for his bite. Also i have to metion this because its disturbing and disgusting. They dont change there breakfast food they just put it under the counter and leave it for the next day unclosed and out in the air. Me and my family stomach hurt for our whole stay. Need refund not good at all, the elevator is very weird.

I don’t even know where to start. Upon arriving at 9 o’clock at night, the area was full of people just congregating around the doors to the hotel and area; we instantly did not feel safe. Inside we were greeted by a not so friendly clerk. He wasn’t rude but just not overly welcoming. Hotel itself is a lot smaller than we anticipated. The hallway to get into the rooms was narrow and awkward. I already expected everything to be small, but this was way less than what the pictures presented. The beds were rock hard in the sense that it felt like we were sleeping on cement slabs. The hotel was clean, however just very basic and not very comfortable feeling.
We chose not to eat at the cafe there because it was €10 per person and that included for kids. Housekeeping did come make the beds and provide fresh towels every morning for the three days that we were there. It got very noisy at night with just the amount of people coming and going. Aside from the person manning the front desk there was nothing stopping any random person from coming up to the hotel floors and beating on doors. There were multiple times that we left and the desk was unmanned. The noise level at night was unacceptable. It was after midnight and it still sounded like people were coming and going and slamming furniture around. We mentioned on two occasions about the noise level, but nothing was done. Definitely not recommend staying here if you have a family of small children.

No A/c in the room and one table fan per room. I saw oil heater though. We need to keep the window open for fresh air.

No Fridge, one microwave and toaster in the dining hall.

Walkable distance from gare-du-nord train station, grocery shopping, bars and restaurants and metro station.

Very very vibrant community of people you would see outside the hotel.

Bed is clean. They do change towels Every day and fix the bed.

Only one room key.

Though they won’t allow early checkin , they do helped us with luggage storage.

24/7 - beer, cofee, milk vending machine.

Spacious, clean room on loud street

Excellent room for 3 that included breakfast. Clean, spacious and comfortable with two fans in the room for airflow (no air conditioning). It was perfect for our needs, and near gare du nord. The only issue was the area. The traffic was so loud. And locals gathered just below the hotel and surrounding area, talking loudly and forcing us to keep our balcony doors closed. And after a long travel day, we were hoping to buy some food and wine to enjoy in our room. But that didn’t happen because the nearby marche told us that alcohol can’t be sold past 7pm due to “insecurities” in the area. We felt relatively safe, but it concerned us and would make us reconsider for future trips.

Room had no air con and 2 fans to cool down same. Could hardly sleep cause room was so hot.

Front desk clerk was super sweet and helpful. Unfortunately, we checked in and went site seeing. Got back very late with young kids and discovered our bathroom had a serious black mold issue. Hotel was full and we couldnt move. Next morning the clerk told us they were aware of the issue, and were scheduled to remediate it that week, but opened the room anyhow because it was full. My boyfriend woke up with a migrane, likely triggered by the mold, which ruined half of our last day of our trip. We complained to management and requested a refund. They would only give us a partial credit. Very unsatisfied with the unhygienic and unsafe condition of the room- and with their inadequate response.

The room was spacious enough for three single beds which is a big plus compared to other hotels we have stayed in! The balcony was a nice addition, but the road was quite noisy so it wasn’t possible to have the door open at night - and there was no air conditioning so it would have been very hot in summer. It was great- the front desk staff was very helpful. The house maids were great- but one of them should be a little friendlier to the customers. The rooms were good- but should have a shelf in bathroom to put our toiletteries like toothbrush toothpaste make- up etc. and their little soaps- all had to sit on sink . There should be a shelf in shower to put your shampoo/ conditioner bottles while showering. Also should have extra pillows. Otherwise a great place in a good area.

We had to spend a night in Paris after delays to our train service which meant we missed the train to our final destination. This was the best rated / best value in the area for a budget hotel. It was generally clean, the bed was fine and the free breakfast was welcome. However, we didn't have any hot water in the room which we didn't find out until the next morning. It turned out there was an issue with the heating system but nothing was mentioned when we went down for . The receptionist apologised when we memtioned it when checking out but it really isn't good enough when you're paying for a bed and shower. We had shower at the next hotel which cut into our day

Great budget hotel

This is a great budget hotel. I stayed 3 nights. There are two metros close by which makes it easy to get around Paris and to/from the airport.
I had room 103. No street noise, but you can hear the room next door.
Numerous restaurants and a couple of good grocery stores close by.
There’s a lot of foot traffic during the day. But everyone is respectful of tourists. I would stay there again.

Location was great and accessible but sketchy at night. I loved our room, it was spacious for Paris and this hotel, we had four beds However, there was no air conditioning . The elevator is tiny and can only take 3 people at a time. If you have luggage you will need at least 2 trips. I love the fact that they have a storage where you can keep luggage at no additional cost. However, breakfast was bad and l found the control system disrespectful. The lady named Kimberli literally refused to served us breakfast because someone claimed to be us and ate our breakfast and we have to argue in front of everyone. That’s no way to treat customers and it is concerning to know that other people could access your information and eat at you place. Though, it was fixed, it made us sad and almost ruined our vacation 😢

Very convenient location, excellent friendly front desk people/service, pretty nice breakfast (juice, bread, butter, croissant, coffee, cereal, jam, etc), has kitchen that you can use at night, room small but adequate, clean, has a small patio/balcony (at least mine did). It has an elevator, which is convenient. The area is walkable and seems to be safe. It gets better and better as you walk towards the center, has many cafes, shops. Close to Gare del'Est and Nord.

Really, the only con was the sound proofing - you could not hear any street noise, but the neighboring bathroom or people walking in the halfway were very clearly heard. Luckily, there were not many of them staying on the same floor, and they were not too late or too early, about the same schedule, as me, so it was ok. I always use ear plugs when traveling anyways.

Saying that the location was excellent for the metro and plenty of places to eat within a short distance. Very clean and tidy, no aircon, it was very hot there was a fan. Surprised how good it is for the price

Stayed for 3 nights and very surprised by the spacious room (given it is Paris), very clean overall, comfortable mattress and good ensuite facilities.

Yes the area is a bit noisy and could be intimidating but we felt quite safe. First night the noise bothered us a bit until about midnight but we did not even 'hear' it the next 2 nights. Others have said that walls are thin and you could hear noises from other rooms. I suppose one could just tune out.

The area is full of cafes, restaurants and shops and places like Louvre is only 30 mins by walk if you choose to take a leisurely stroll.

We did not try the hotel breakfast as we wanted to try the local cafes. Very good stay overall.

First, coming from Canada and being my first time in France in the summer, I was shocked there was no AC and it was a VERY humid week! That said, I noticed that AC in France isn’t the major thing it is in North America so I don’t think this was a knock on the hotel. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff were all lovely!! Special thanks to the gentleman who let me check in early! It may be a cultural difference as he seemed genuinely confused I was inquiring to check in at noon for a 3pm reservation. He quickly made it work which was SO appreciated because I had a special event to attend at 3pm and this made a world of difference. About the neighborhood- I loved it!! Yes it’s loud, boisterous and vibrant… it’s an African neighbourhood brimming with culture- embrace it! Some people are just afraid of Black joy, and as an Indigenous person I totally get this and celebrated it. I was treated with respect and kindness everywhere I went and would definitely stay here again. I absolutely felt safe as a female travelling alone. Hôtel was very close to two major train stops and a transit pass paid for itself 10 times over, I went EVERYWHERE in four days with ease!! Oh- a really great gym with day use passes just a little ways down on the same side of the street, Basic-Fit, I was SOO appreciative to get to work out every day of my trip!

Don’t worry about the first impression that may make you uncomfortable. This hotel is a diamond on the rough with safety and around the corner amenities. This is where locals hangout… as soon as you’re ready to go out, head out the door, turn left on the side of L’etoile D’afrike cafe restaurant on Rue Jarry and walk one block. Go to the left to find great places to eat, bakeries, coffee shops, even a great supermarket. Find great places all the way to the arch.
If you turn to the right, there are more restaurants with great eats a reasonable price.
And if you need to do laundry, there is a good self service laundromat to the left past the red and white outdoor restaurant by the police post.
This place is definitely safe and I highly recommend it. We stayed 5 nights!

Convenient, clean, comfortable, flexible

Very clean, comfortable beds, private bathroom new and nice. The hotel also accommodated me when I booked for the wrong date, they could have charged me a full night to change and didn’t, they were very nice about it and didn’t charge me anything. The room with one full bed and 3 single beds was clean, functional, had a fan, and the bathroom was clean. It is on a busy boulevard so we couldn’t sleep with open windows, but on the other hand the location was super handy, 10 mins walk from the Gare du Nord.

Near stations and clean with basic breakfast.

Arrived and they had room ready early everything was nice and clean small elevator typical in area and breakfast was included in booking and was decent to start day coffee croissants and french bread with butter and spreads cereal etc. Main reason i booked is its priced right and within walking distance to two metro stations! Area is busy lots of people but felt safe and came back from downtown late and into the am and felt safe at all times. Only negative would be no visible AC anywhere but there were fans and huge windows that opened and honestly didn’t need it as we were gone during day and back when it was fresh in evening. Ask for extra shampoo they give packets here and bar soap. Will stay here again when in Paris :)

The hotel property itself was up to the mark in cleanliness, service, staff friendliness and support. The property is also quite well situated, near Gare de l'Est and Chateau de'Eau metro station as well as local buses. However, the Boulevard de Strasbourg area around this property was quite noisy and not too clean. It also didnt feel safe walking back late after 9 pm. However there is plenty of dining around the Rue de Faubourg Saint-Denis and easy walkable access to main areas and museums.
The hotel is highly recommended for value for money, and a neat and clean, centrally located place to stay.

Property in very budy area. Somewhat noisy but there was a football game so bars were packed in the area. It was close to things and room was nice.

Our stay was \"ok\", the outside and location was interesting. As I was getting dropped off by my bolt driver, he laughed and said: \"haha, this is Africa, very dangerous\", and took off. We walked into the very tiny reception area, with a lot of confused looking people. The room itself was ok, but the area just SEEMED unsafe, not that it was. My kids and I went out for dinner, came back, and everything was ok. It is definitely an experience.

The front desk staff was very nice especially the lady. Our room faced the street which made for a lot of noise from people, cars, emergency vehicles, etc. plus the walls are fairly thin which makes for a lot of noise transference from adjacent rooms.

We had a great stay at this hotel the room was very spacious though the TV was not really working. Very well located minutes from Gare du nord and Gare de l’Est. Clean room and very spacious for our family of four. Only down side : the walls are super thin you can hear everything from next door
