The shower tub combination was difficult to figure out. And no one could attend to it until the next working day. Sometimes it best to keep plumbing fixtures simple for ease of use.

On a positive note, you are steps away from Gare de est making it extremely convenient to get to any part of the city on the metro including the airport. Great connectivity. We stayed 2 nights there as we needed to get to Brussels from Gare du Nord which is 5-7 mins walk from Gare de est station.

**Disappointing Experience**

The location of the hotel is convenient as it’s close to the subway, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The staff at the hotel were poorly trained and failed to inform us about important details, like the fact that breakfast was not included in our stay.

During a previous stay at a hotel in Brussels, we were clearly informed that breakfast wasn’t included, but the staff kindly offered us a complimentary breakfast. However, at this hotel in Paris, there was no such communication. We unknowingly picked up our breakfast and were about to start eating when a staff member quietly asked for our room number. We were confused and decided to check with the reception, only to find out that breakfast was not included. We left without eating, but to our frustration, we were still charged for it. This incident spoiled our vacation.

Additionally, the room itself was lacking essential amenities. There was no iron, refrigerator, or closet, which are expected in a four-star hotel. Overall, I would rate this hotel two stars instead of the three it claims to be.

Unfortunately when we arrived the reception area seemed to be having a rennovation and was therefore quite cluttered and dusty with wires showing from where electronics/desks etc were being moved. We arrived around 22:00 and the staff said they were changing over and we needed to wait before we could check in. This seemed slightly inconvenient but we were however offered hot drinks while we waited and the staff were very apologetic about this and otherwise very friendly and welcoming. The lift was quite dirty and noisy/rattling going up in it which seemed disconcerting and one day did not work at all. As well as this the room it self was quite small with some mould in the shower. The bed was comfortable however and we didn’t have any issues with noise. Overall an average stay but slightly better priced than other central hotels in Paris.

We had a fabulous stay. The location was really convenient for Metro & the train station meaning exploring Paris was easy. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful. The room was clean, comfy beds, excellent air conditioning, great shower with good water pressure. Lovely view from the room. We would absolutely book this hotel again.

I regret staying at the Timhotel, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The hotel lacks the amenities for a comfortable stay. The beds aren't comfortable and are too hard, the lift is very small and shakes when you're using it. The TV doesn't work properly and all the channels are in French.
Some of the staff were a bit rude.

Decent property if you need a place to sleep while visiting Paris. Don't expect too much from the hotel. Lady at service desk challenged me.about whether breakfast was part of my room and board, even though I had paid for it, at the point of check in. There was also no working safe in my room. Hotel staff played games with me when I asked about the safe. The breakfast is decent. Hotel location is close to all major transport, including to Charles DeGaulle Airport.

Excellent location for a tourist visit in Paris. Great starting point for multiple landmarks as the train station is just around the corner. Most destinations were just one train ride. The twin room was tight but we were primarily only there to sleep and shower. Definitely will consider staying next trip.

The was not open when came to Paris, and then they moved us to another location and it was dirty and out of the way from the other hotel. The one we booked the photos looked new with clean rooms. The new one had blood on the carpet and dirty walls.

The location and the room were good, even the room is small it has good bed, clean bathroom...the A.C is regulated, it comes automatically for a few minutes then stops/ gone and this how it works. The WiFI was Not working on ANY FLOOR above the First Floor and there was Always excuses, I believe they simply don't get a strong WiFi for the entire building. I had to come to the \"Very small\" lobby to get connected, the signal is so, so bad that you can Not make a phone call via WhatsUpp. I paid my complete stay (3 nights) 3 weeks in advance, and I did not get the Service I expected. Very disappointed with the lack of access to communicate.

Upon our arrival, the elevator wasn't working. It was broken our entire stay, (6 nights). Our shower door was broken, and they didn't change our sheets until the last night of our stay. Also, they do not have face towels ( wash cloths), and one of the front desk staff stated we should've booked at a \"5 Star Hotel\", if we wanted wash cloths... That should be stated in the hotel's description, that they do not provide customers with wash cloths. Front desk, staff was rude & unprofessional. The kitchen staff was amazing! The manager, Sandrine, was fantastic. She was very apologetic & took care of my family & I. Unfortunately, I will not recommend this hotel, and we will not book here again.

This hotel is just a few short blocks from Gare de l'Est and about 8 minute walk to Gare du Nord. You can take RER B to CDG airport from Gare du Nord then walk to the hotel.

The hotel is located on a quite side street. The rooms have been renovated and the bathrooms were quite modern and nice.

This is a budget hotel. The double room is adequate for a single person but may be a bit tight for a couple. This hotel is worth the money. It's close to the Gare de l'Est metro station and there are plenty of restaurants closeby.

Staff were amazing, very friendly and spoke english as i clearly could not speak alot of french.
Room was cosy but lovely, very clean, very updated, wonderful windows that opened up over the street below.
Cannot fault the hotel - other reviews claim the location is abit ruff, i want to clear this up - the area was fine, infact we liked it more than the main streets in paris. Please don't let the other reviews ruin your plans, we went walking all around gare du nord and gare du l'est without a single issue. Just excercise normal safety precautions (like in any city) and you will have a great time.

Great location in front off a quiet park. Hotel entirely renovated, clean with double sided windows and very confortable beds. Easy access to bus and Metro. The room was standard how ever the bathroom was appropriate to somewhat tiny, might be a problem for someone not fit.

I stayed here twice already and was so impressed both times. Check in and checkout are a breeze. The location unlike some people have commented is incredible and is actually in a local neighborhood that had been suggested to me by locals from Paris. It’s practically on the canal with tons of bars and restaurants overlooking the water every morning. The staff was amazing and even switched my room at 2am because there was a heat wave and my a/c wasn’t going full blast.... mind you it was working and they didn’t necessarily need to change my room. Love this hotel and will always stay here from now on.

We received our room key and went up to our room. There was luggage and clothes on the bed already. Someone was staying in there. Went downstairs to change room. Process repeated and turns out the room had a bed big enough for one person when we originally booked a double bed. Changed room keys again and went to the fourth floor. My girlfriend opened the door and she walks in on a gentleman naked. This was the last straw. Went downstairs and told the guy. He was very apologetic and we asked for a refund. He said no problem. He assured we would get it but he had to talk to his manager in the morning. I called in the morning and they knew who I was but told me to call later. I called again and spoke with a lady. She told me she has to wait for Expedia to contact her for the refund. She said they have not taken the money from Expedia so should be easy. Long story short here we are a few days later and I receive an email from Expedia saying they denied my request for a refund... I am not happy at all.

Despite requesting a room with two twin beds we were given a room with two conjoined twin beds made up as a single bed. What is the point of two beds if they are pushed together? We complained. The desk clerk told us that since the cleaning staff was no longer on site, he would personally make up the beds as separate ones. When we returned from our dinner, there was a extra set of sheets thrown on the bed and the clerk had gone home. I love my sister, but I don't really want to share a bed with her. We had also booked a room here for the end of our three week holiday and were assured by the hotel manager that we would have a room with two twin beds for this reservation. When we arrived, our room had two twin beds made of as one bed. The desk clerk could not provide an explanation for this error, but was able to move us later that night to another room with two twin beds (albeit conjoined). This is unfortunate. I actually like the hotel. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. While the rooms and baths are small they are nicely appointed with quality linens. Bur don't stay here if you expect to have any space between your twin beds.

The location is great if you are getting train connections from Gare ducking Nord or Gate De L'est. Major landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame are up to 40 minutes away but the metro station is nearby. The only downside is that despite the good transport links, the area is a bit seedy and does not feel especially safe. Inside the hotel, staff are pleasant and all speak excellent English, which was helpful as my French is terrible. The room was newly decorated and clean with a nice big window.

Great place for short stay in Paris. Super convenient if traveling by train from gare du Nord or d'est. Recently (mid-July 2017) remodeled and all the rooms, beds, bathrooms etc. are new. Stairs are steep and there's still some Construction going on as I type this and the elevator wasn't working (that's why only 4star review). But very friendly staff and with location and that price ($70 for. A. Double room) you can't argue. Breakfast is 13.50. Euro extra (if you had not booked it with your reservation before).

Small room for two adults with luggage. No room safe, no complementary bottle of water as advertised, no individual room temperature control. Room was hot. The hotel is under going renovation on two of the floors, the outside of the hotel has scaffolding on it so it was hard too find. The bathroom and shower are way too small, barely any room too turn around in shower, no shelf for personnel items in shower. Five hangars too hang clothes on, if you have a suitcases no room too put it anywhere. The breakfast was adequate.

More clotheshangers would have come in handy, as would have some sort of stand for a fold-out carry-on bag! And as I said, more coffee bags in the room for the first-in-the-morning \"shot\"! The breakfast (I am not certain about value-for-money at the rate of € 13.50 extra) is decent enough, bread selection good, cold cuts and cheese not so varied, but adequate; good for muesli-lovers, and properly replenished. American coffee unlilmited, one espresso per person.

This was our second stay in Timhotel Gare L'est so we had a general idea what to expect.

As stated in the title it is close to Gare L'est station so it's very easy to get around from the station. Rooms and showers are a bit on the small side which made every shower an adventure.

There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel which offer various types of cuisine to suit different tastes.

I'd would not hesitate to stay there again on subsequent visits to Paris.

We had a \"couple\", couple of nights at the hotel. The staff were very helpful since I had recently broken my leg. They were considerate above and beyond what I would have reasonably expected. The hotel is convenient to the metro and Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord. It is however not on a busy road so traffic does not disturb in any way. There are some lovely restaurants nearby and the hotel has a typically Parisienne charm. Breakfast is continental with an unlimited supply of food and a broad variety. There is a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere at breakfast, which starts conveniently early and extends until around ten in the morning.

Convenient hotel for business

Visiting exhibition at Le Bourget & hotel only 3 minutes from the Metro.
Also easy to get to if arriving at Gare du Nord either by walking or one stop on the Metro.

The hotel is 10 minutes walking from east station. Staffs are nice but the room condition is kind of old and small for two people.

very good location, the staff was great very friendly very helpful, the breakfast was really good, free cafe tea all day!!!! The bathroom was perfect, hot water clean towels every day, hair dryer, the bed was very comfort, and the room was quiet, the only minus is that the rooms and the halls are small, but i think every hotel rooms in paris of this money category are small...very value for money i recommend it
