Fabulous stay! Hotel was in a great location next to the canals. Lots of places to eat and drink around and a lovely Boulangerie almost next door. The bed was big and very comfortable. The only issue was having only one pillow each. We asked for extra before going to dinner and they promised to put them in the room but didn’t. The night receptionist said there was none left but eventually found one. Also whilst showering the next morning the shower gel was empty and had no be refilled, the tea and coffee station had also not be replenished and there was only 1 sachet of decaf coffee and no milk or caffeinated coffee/tea.

We were a little unsure of the area when we originally got to the hotel because we were coming in from Gare de l’Est on a Saturday night, but this ended up being a great place to stay, though a little smaller than we expected (but we also got the economy room very last minute, so this is not on the hotel this was on us). The staff were helpful and kind, the hotel is two blocks away from Canal St. Martin, there’s an awesome bakery right on the corner, and there are a ton of great restaurants and parks near by. My only complaint is that the door/walls are a little thin so you can hear some stuff in other rooms and I woke up startled by doors closing in the hallway, so if you’re a light sleeper I recommend earplugs. Also a funny side point - the candy at the front desk is so good. I would definitely stay here again!

Very good location and rooms were smart. However, all 3 rooms we had were the same price but certainly not the same size. We even questioned this and were told by the man at the front desk we were mistaken, but upon looking at the fire exit map it is clear that all rooms near the lifts are significantly smaller than the other rooms. This is bad practice and rates of these rooms should be reviewed due to lack of size and noise. One of the rooms was right near the lift on the second floor and there was constant noise from 6am which disturbed one of our parties sleep. The showers also need some significant improvements as they mist you rather than wash you. I would stay in the area but not this hotel again.

We stayed for a weekend. The area is good. There are supermarkets cafés bistro restaurants bakery metro station nearby. Place de la République is 10 min walking. The staff was very kind. The room was clean and warm.

For the one night I stayed and as a solo traveler, it was fine. The wifi didn’t work, the property was deep in construction and dust everywhere (pretty sure I could smell it through the night which was rough) , the bed wasn’t great, and the room was incredibly small. Again, for one night just needing a place to stay it was fine, but also felt overpriced for how limited the room and hotel felt. Was mostly paying for location (?) and a place to rest my head.

The room was small but very nice and clean. Bathroom is modern, very nice. The location to the main sights via Uber is far and encountered a lot of traffic. Upon check in, there was an ongoing repair. Strong smell of paint. We were not informed that there was no water supply until 5 pm and the next day too from 11 am to 5 pm. Only when i went down to the reception to ask why there’s no water that the guy pointed to the paper notice about the water interruption. When we checked out at past 5 am the reception was so dark, all lights off. Not staying at this hotel again. Not recommending it to our family & friends.

Not a good nights sleep.

Checked in around midnight, went to our room and 2 mins later there was a knock on the door to say we'd been given the wrong room. Back down stairs, into another building, change keys and up to another room. You can hear the noise in the corridors and the next morning I was woken up by the next door's phone alarm vibrating. Marks on the bed sheets. Bathroom was clean. Not used before, not worth the 100 +euros.

I understand that rooms are small but I hope they could at least provide nice pillows and towels. It’s also a good thing the weather is nice because there’s no air conditioning. There’s only electric fan. I’m not sure how it would be if it’s peak of summer.

Cosy and cheap hotel

Close to a main street, you have easy access to shops, public transportation (4 metro stations in a 10 min walk area), and can even have a short walk to Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame ( 30 min ).

The rooms are quite small but cosy and they do the job perfectly. They are clean and the beds are comfortable.

This is the first bad review I've had to write.
Very noisy, really didn't get much sleep. Not just paper thin walls and a door that cut out as much noise as a blanket, but also some miscellaneous mechanical noise going on and off constantly. Pretty sure the bed is made of cardboard, hard and uncomfortable.
Room was very stufy and small.
Towels had black marks on them (hopefully mascara).
Definitely not recommended.

Hotel is conveniently located with a boulangerie nearby and minutes away from several Metro stations and eateries. Reception allowed us with an early check-in, but initially provided us with a room under construction; situation was resolved quickly and we were provided a different room. Rooms appeared to be similar sizes - very small and tiny for two people - but manageable and cozy. Sliding door for washroom would not close (kept sliding open) unless forced in place and free toiletries (e.g. soap bars) provided were not all clean/fresh. Walls aren't soundproof and only one narrow elevator available. However, hotel staff are lovely individuals and very courteous and welcoming.

Great little hotel in a fab location.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my son, I picked this hotel for approximatey to the Train Station. It was easy to find and well connected, the area is pretty nice too. The hotel was superbly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, even locking up front desk to run to the storeroom to get me extra milk for my room. The room was spotless and very modern. My room faced a very pretty little colourful courtyard. It was small, but perfectly formed. Room was cleaned everyday. I would stay here again and have recommended to friends.

Had building work going on our whole week stay where they were building the stairs, reception staff were nice and spoke good english. There was a small lift which came in useful as we had suitcases. Not impressed with the cleaning of our room, as only had a tiny bin in our bathroom that was emptied daily but other obvious rubbish in our room was not taken out, cups, tea bags and milk not consistently replenished each day. The \"door\" to our bathroom was NOT a door but basically a piece of wood that you pulled to cover the opening to the bathroom. Our wifi and TV signal went off on our last night.

Room was clean, friendly staff.
Only down side is bit noisy and no aircon as during our stay it was pretty warm in Paris, even if we left the window open, the room still feel warm.
And the wifi is unstable, have to re-connect always.
Overall it is still a lovely place to stay when weather is nice.

Basic but very well situated near canal St Martin and the two train stations. There are some great places to eat on the road, which is good because breakfast was a little basic and over priced. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. The beds were good quality. Nice pillows. Good heating- it was -4 when we were there in January. The bathrooms are small but adequate.

First trip to Paris via Eurostar

Honestly as a train fan my trip was about going on a modern high speed train and track like Eurostar. 180mph nearly all the way. But while I was in Paris I thought Id see a few sites while I was here having never visit Paris before. Hotel was all I needed for a place to stay.

The only thing I would complain about would be that there is no AC so you have to open the window at night and the street is really noisy and there are a lot of mosquitos. Also the shower didn't really have a door. It was glass that only covered half way. Other than that, I didn't really have any issues with it because we were out most of the time. There is a metro stop within 5 minutes walking so it's really convenient and some nice places to eat nearby. This is more of a place to be close to the locals and away from the touristy spots. The area looks a little sketchy but it seemed safe and everyone was really nice

Peaceful hotel in great location

This hotel is in great location not far from Gare du Nord (15min walk) and Gare du Est (10min) tucked away down quiet street near the canal. The hotel is clean, tidy and all the staff were very helpful. We had a twin room with en-suite, which was very clean, tidy and comfortable, the room wasn't over big but it was more than comfortable for two. The hotel offers breakfast but with all the options locally we didn't take it up.

Very good budget hotel

We celebrated New Year in Paris and wanted a budget hotel for a few nights. The Kyriad hotel is excellent value and I would defenitely stay there again. Although the hotel is quite far away from the main tourist attractions there are plenty of close metro stations, if you do want to walk it is very safe and on main roads that are well lit. The hotel staff were very accommodating and helpful - their English was very good. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel but the eating area looked nice and clean. The room was perfect for what we needed with plenty of toiletries, a hair dryer, towels and space for cases.

There is a lovely bakery on the corner of the hotel with amazing food for breakfast and a Carrefour nearby too.

When you want to stay near centre and metro, but also calm for at good nights sleep, and also near parks and water, KYRIAD Canal Saint Martin is perfect. Good, simple breakfast and good coffe perhaps the flûtes could be more crispy.

Great lil' gem..Local feel

This nice little place is in a neighborhood that seemed middle class and made me feel like a local in Paris. The subway is VERY close, as are a plethora of little reasonably priced restaurants & small convenience stores. The staff were accommodating to my every request, even when i had them help me plot my whole route thru the city. I was able to leave my bags with them prior and after check in/out. Highly recommended. Rooms are small...French style, but perfectly comfortable, smelled clean, looked great and modernized a bit.

Had to catch a early train and hence, booked this hotel. About a KM from Paris Nord station.

Gets the basics right. We got 2 single beds but these were comfortable. Room was clean and the shower/toilets were new.

Corridors leading to the hotel from the lifts were a bit narrow but no issues.

Very noisy, small and rough neighbourhood

This hotel must be one of the worst that I've ever lived in - it's closed to Paris Nord and east station which is very convenient to travel to other cities . However the neighbourhood is so noisy with local traffic - motor bikes , cars driving past the hotel which is impossible to fall lasers because there is no air conditioning and the windows need to be opened to have fresh air in especially in the hot summer.

The room is also so small and there is no where for the luggages besides two single beds. The lift in the hotel is also small which can only fit in three small people like us.

It's not worth the price we paid.

Try to avoid if possible.

The hotel is in a great location, close to transport and most of the sights in Paris. For two nights it was fine. Not very spacious or particularly comfortable. Not much privacy as our room's windows were across from an apartment building but if you need an affordable place to stay and don't plan on being in the room much, this does the trick. Great bakery on the corner for coffee and pastries.

Don't be put off!!!

Outside of hotel is tired so were dubious on arrival.
Room was small but spotlessly clean.
No air con but nice big windows that opened out onto the courtyard, birds singing all day.
Breakfast was basic but overall good value for money.
Lovely bakers on the corner otherwise.
Plenty of bars/cafes/restaurants within walking distance.
Great atmosphere at local park and canal - just grab a bottle of wine/some beers, a baguette and some cheeses and meats etc and find a spot for the evening.
Had a great time!
Please don't be put off by any negative reviews. This hotel really is great value for money.
Would definitely go back!!!

about the paris: too expensive for 2 days but its deserve it for one travel. the most annoying think is supposed as an european country with a lot of visitors to speak at least english its hard to find someone who speak english exept from the public services like transports food companies and visit places like eiffel tower (exept notre dame) . if you exept that thing all the rest trip of paris it was great i visit ( 1st day: arc de triomphe (till top lot of sters) ,eiffel tower (till top) ,River Seine Cruise, 2nd day: notre dame (till top lot of sters), catacombs (thats a lot of walk and bones and sters lot of at the end) , and louvre (a lot of stuff i left after 2 hours cause i was tired from the last day)
about hotel: quiet hotel they let you to sleep the mornings without wake you up (housekeeping stuffs). you can see from this hotel a marketing school with lovely french girls . free wifi . the bathroom its realy good and hot water available all the time for a bath . french tv . boiler for hot water / tea / coffe / sugars / milk / coockies and plastic cups . the speak english . and i recomended if you want your quiet after an all day tour.
about transports: is near to gare du nord if you come with eurostar and near to gare de l'est station. you can take a daily pass for zone 1-2 and you can use all of the train lines. that who impress me it was the 2 floor train (in line C with yellow color if i remember correctly)

Better than I expected !

I spent 4 nights at this hotel whilst on business in Paris. My room was quite small, but suited my requirements. The hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.
The location was perfect for me, a leisurely 10 minute walk from the Gare du Nord, and not too far from the city centre shops and restaurants etc. Hard to beat at the price.

Stay was pleasant and staff were friendly. Free wireless definitely came in handy and they provide a map of Paris. The room was cleaned everyday regardless of what time we left and the location was central.

Great hotel and location- can't ask for much more!

Room was clean and comfortable and the hotel had friendly and helpful staff. Hotel location was great.. places were either a walk away or a quick trip of the very nearby metro.

Good Experience.

For the price I paid, it was really good hotel. It was clean and actually really pretty in the inside. I loved the decoration. I had no problem at all. I arrived earlier than my check in time and they let me get into my room early, and I even got free breakfast while I waited. I'm going to Paris next summer and I'm staying here again.
The location where the hotel is, is a little bit dirty, but the hotel is clean. But it's really close to the main train stations so you can get to anywhere in Paris in a few minutes. I would recommended.

Stayed 6 nights, and was a great hotel to explore paris from. Good value for money; central location especially to eurostar, clean rooms and has an elevator which is a plus.

Great for the price

The hotel was great for the price. The halls are narrow and the rooms are small, but they are very, very clean. Our bathroom looked newly renovated. The bed was hard and there were no wash cloths in the bathroom, but those are my only complaints. The price was great, so those things didn't bother me that much.

lovely hotel, close to Gare d Nord

Although in a back street this small hotel had everything we needed for a short visit. Comfortable and staff really friendly and helpful. Only slight drawback was just 1 teabag and breakfast was just croissant.
