Everything is good. There are restaurants nearby. Transportation within 10 - 15 minutes walk. Other guests should be more considerate by not bang doors but close softly. Maybe hotels should initiate education on etiquette of staying in hotels.

We loved our stay. The room was small but lovely. It was very clean and convenient to the train. The breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the fresh bread and croissants. The staff was responsive and friendly. It had a nice mix of European and US style and we felt very comfortable.

It was fine. We liked having two interconnecting rooms for us and the kids. There were renovation works on the floor above us but did not disturb us during the night.
The breakfast was ok, not lots of choice and no hot options.
Location was good near a couple of metros and the bakery next door had lovely lunch options.
Please note that you cannot just walk in the building, the reception needs to spot you and unlock the door!

The picture showing a double bed and lots of space to wander around doesn’t represent the three rooms we had - they were classic Parisian rooms in which you couldn’t swing a cat. They were what we expected, but in case you expect a room like the picture, the lowest cost rooms are very small. The ‘bathroom’ was, despite being clean, too small to dry yourself after a shower. Sit on the toilet and without moving your feet, stand up to wash your hands! No wasted energy there! The check in guy was extremely friendly but the desk guy who was there when we collected our bags to leave couldn’t even be bothered to look up to say au revoir”!! Good location and typical Parisian hotel.

This hotel is very small.. The rooms were TINY, like match boxes in a doll house. I only recommend this hotel for a short stay for 1 or 2 persons, with very little luggage. The rooms are too small for triple occupancy. Also, the breakfast is a light continental breakfast and if asked to deliver breakfast to the room, they do not always cater to more than two people. I was actually told one morning that the service person \"could not bring breakfast up for 3. I would have to send someone come down stairs for it\". I have never had that experience in a hotel before. I also requested extra pillows the night we arrived and was told that there was no one else that could bring it up, she had to cover the desk and could not leave. I never asked again and never got the additional pillows. I also noticed that they do not change the bed linen daily. The hotel was ok. But, I wouldn't stay there again. Finally, the hotel is located in the 10th Arrondisment, so it's a bit too far from the main attractions of Paris.

Be aware I stayed on November 14, 2019, and it is an outgoing construction on the top floor and next building. Olga was very helpful, such a charmer. Francois was an overnight receptionist--cold, unwelcomed and phlegmatic. I suggest to stay elsewhere unless you love construction. It is unfortunate that the owner of the hotel did not, could not, and would not notify a traveler about outgoing construction activity between hours of 8:30-6pm.

It was quite pleasing. It's a great price and very welcoming staff. Don't expect luxury, expect a casual needs-met, kind of property. The building itself, like many old European buildings has more problems - the walls are thin and no noise cancellation. But it was clean and well maintained. If you're an easy going person, who needs a comfortable bed, a decent shower, friendly staff, then this is perfect.

It has some places that have room for improvement, but they definitely make it up in other ways. Like, great location; steps from restaurants, walking distance from shops and couple blocks away from 2 metro (subway) stations.

Overall, I would definitely be back.

The hotel is in a great place to explore Paris for a few days with easy access to public transport and easy walking distances too. Only issues we had were staff were not super helpful; I asked for the night receptionist if there was any restaurants within walking distance and he said no but when we walked around the next day in daylight there was loads! Also the sound proofing of the hotel was not great we could hear the people above us and beside us very clearly.

It was reasonably priced for a fairly central location, within walking distance of Gare du Nord and many tourist attractions, and close to food shops and markets. There is also a Metro station within a 5 minute walk. The exterior and foyer were attractive, and the reception was first-class - friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was a touch on the small side, but warm, quiet and with comfortable beds - I thought the floor was a bit odd with what looked like black and yellow street markings! The bathroom was well equipped and every-thing worked well. Room service was first-class, and we very much enjoyed our stay.

The staff was mostly pretty good and were helpful. However, some of the staff did manage to leave a bad impression by being rude and snappy. The room was also very tiny, which left us hardly any room to move around. Also, they mentioned that breakfast was available, which suggested it was free, but this was not the case. It was 10 euros per person per day. I was not excited about the 150 euros we had to pay to check out. They should’ve been more clear about what they’re saying instead of trapping us like that.

I checked out of the hotel after two days. The room was filthy there were bugs and stains everywhere including the sheets. The employees were useless example on checking in they were unable to give me a second card key to enter the room. The level of incompetence and down right dismissive behavior concerning the condition of our room gave me no other choice but to check out and find another hotel which I did. I prepaid through Travelocity with no refund and will NEVER use Expedia or Travelocity again. HORRIBLE.

Be very careful with the dates of your reservation

I had booked my reservation by accident on the wrong dates. I had booked the wrong month by accident. I had paid for 4 nights. Once I realized five minutes later that I had made a mistake, I called Hotels.com immediately to cancel the reservation. It was a non-refundable rate. The people at Hotels.com were very friendly, understanding and helpful. But they said in order to cancel the order, the hotel would have to agree. The hotel refused! Even knowing that is was an honest mistake and I only wanted to change the dates. They wanted to pocket my money for an honest mistake. They would not even let me change the dates -- 5 minutes after I had booked. I feel robbed by this hotel. Avoid at all costs (literally)!

It served its purpose. Clean. Has a safe, mini fridge, and air conditioned. Bathroom was a bit small, it did have a hair dryer. Safe area with bakery right next door, small grocery store, and plenty of cafes. Sheets were not changed while we were there, they would just freshen up and make the beds. Trash was taken out every day. All in all it was nice.

Small rooms and you won’t get size bed requested

We stayed at the hotel for 6 days, and when I reserved the two rooms it was room #1 with double bed and a single bed which was what we received (but extra small room) no space for luggage for 3 persons, ... room # 2 we paid for a queen bed and got a double bed, it was my husband, my daughter and I... we had to end up paying for an extra room which was more expensive than when we reserved them .... then when the receptionist (a Peruvian guy) called his boss to ask what to do he took like 30 minutes on the phone just to say we have to get other room, he was taking his time and joking with his boss while we where waiting which I saw rude and unprofessional. The rest of the days he was nice, but we already had the bad impression that he gave us at the beginning .... so no coming back to your hotel

We stayed for 3 days. Power went off 5 times during three days: Both morning and evening, nobody was able to help. Employees provided no customer service; except Alfredo, he was outstanding, super helpful and always with an smile on his face, always willing to assist and help. Rooms are way too small, location is good, bakery next door excellent! Beds are super comfortable and shower is pretty good, however the shower door was damaged long ago. Windows did not shut properly. When I Got back in evening I could not get back into my room as door was jammed. Night receptionist had to kick it in resulting in sleeping in a room with a door that did not close properly. Still waiting for management to reply and refund.

Location was very good and was accessable to shops, restaurants, local patesseries and grocery shops as well as the several metros in the sqaure and a short walk from gare du nordBe very careful of pick pocketers especially on the metro and coming out the stations. An.enjoyable city with so much to see .be careful of restaurants that exploit tourists for their money and will give you all the exoensive food and drink choices but not tell u prices, ending up with a massive bill at end.

The hotel itself and the rooms are quite small, but as first time visitors to Paris we didn’t need much more than a shower and a comfy bed. And we definitely had both of those. The hotel is also close to everything and my husband and I walked all over exploring the city.

Need a bigger room next time

Check in slow and unwelcoming - i stood ignnored for 5 minutes while the person on reception dealt with someone else’s protracted issue. An acknowledgement of my presence or, even better, the handing over of the check in form and wifi details while i waited would have been appreciated.

Room was too small, meaning among other things not enough room for a closet or even a towel rail. The open closet-subsitute had fixed metal hangers the ends of which projected horizontally into the room and i narrowly averted slicing open my forehead by walking into one of them.

The hotel is generally ok for a 3 star hotel and the area is good - near gare du nord, gare de l’est and metro as well as bars and restaurants.

Great hotel staff and location. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance, as well as to main tourist attractions (about a 20 min walk). The Marais neighborhood is wonderful and not very touristy so you get to experience the real Paris, including open air food markets! Our room was a bit small, but I don't expect big rooms in Paris. The room served it's purpose - comfortable night of sleep and hot shower for 3 nights. I would recommend the hotel!

We liked this hotel. As others have written, yes, our room was very small, but it is Paris and we only were there to sleep before we were off again. Friends with us had a bigger room. Only real drawback about this hotel was the bathroom. Very slippery when showering, we put towels down to help prevent slipping on the wet floors. Staff was very helpful whenever asked. Even provided wine glasses on a night we were celebrating a birthday. It was ideally located for us to either catch the Metro or walk to places we wanted to see. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay there again ourselves.

Place de la Republique is a great area, with convenient Metro connections, lots of restaurants and wine bars of many sorts, and many locals in them. The old hotel has been completely modernized; only hotel bathroom I've ever had that included scales to measure the weight put on in those restaurants. Price was a little stiff, maybe because I booked late and because of the time of year.
