Check in was 45 minutes late and nobody bothered to communicate why, we had to keep asking when are room was ready to be met with it’s not ready… sorry people check out late ?? How is that my problem. We paid for the upgraded suite which we were led to believe was on one of the higher floors but instead we were lumped with a first floor suite with a view of the toilets outside and people frequently relieving themselves in full view of our window. Not quite what we had in mind

We had a fabulous weekend at Renaissance in Paris. Every working stuff was very nice and friendly. Hotel is in a great condition and decoration. Rooms was nice and clean. Breakfast was good. The location is very central. Everything was great apart from one problem. We drove to Paris from London. Which was a mistake. Because driving in central Paris is a nightmare. On both ends of the street where the hotel is had a sign Not to Enter. That was really confusing. So it took us 1 hour to figure out how to get to the hotel’s car park. If you are driving to this hotel and want to park inside the hotel. The best thing to do is call the hotel and ask them how to get to their car park.

I wish every hotel stay was like this!

Best stay we have had in a long time!!! The hotel was so clean, and the staff went out of their way to give us the most fabulous experience. They were so friendly, the concierge was incredible with fabulous recommendations, and the room was beautiful. Even down to the refillable water bottle in the room… I wish every hotel stay was like this!! Absolutely prestine and we will be staying here everytime we come to Paris!

Very good hotel, with a nice room size. The breakfast it was great, with a good variety of items. The gym is on the small side, but enough for a little cardio. The location is really good, by the transportation right out of the door, very central, close to shops, restaurants and services. Definitely a place to consider in a next trip to Paris.

Found the staff to be polite and helpful. The hotel was generally clean and had amenities such as a gym, spa and outdoor dining area.

Has some issues with the plumbing fixtures in my room. Also, the shower/bath in the room had some mold around the edges. Definitely, the plumbing fixtures were chosen for form and not function.

Overall, a pleasant stay. Hotel is close to a Metro station.

The rooms are cosy, comfortable and furnished with taste and style.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay here in early September. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful - we really appreciate each person at the front who patiently answered our questions. We utilized the fitness center and thought it was good. The location is convenient - right by the Metro and really easy to access other parts of the city. The only issue we had was being slow in getting our towels replaced when we had requested them a few hours prior. However when we called the cleaning room extension directly someone quickly came up and got us new ones. The staff is very responsive. Overall we really like this hotel for our first visit to Paris and would recommend it. Lovely property and staff.

This is a nice hotel, with a great look and restaurant, but I would not call it 5 stars or worth the price tag over $500/night. The rooms and gym are nice but small. Housekeeping seemed to spend the entire afternoon on the floor, waking me up from naps twice over 5 days. Yet, I frequently returned from spending the morning and afternoon out, to find my room still uncleaned so I had to exit again. The shower emitted room-encompassing sewer smells after use until I reported it; housekeeping sorted it but said it’s been happening alot. I couldn’t get internet on my lap top in the room due to the sign on protocol- the lobby was full of guests using their lap tops because the public wifi didn’t have the same access impediment. The exercise bike was broken by the 5th day of my stay and despite staff poking their head in the room, the water was empty until I brought it to the desk’s attention. At check in, I was told that the $30 breakfast was not included, and then learned when I checked out that it was and I would be charged even when I didn’t take it (they did comp my bar expenditures so I was refunded 1 breakfast to my satisfaction). The restaurant was a delight and generally worth the cost for dinner, but few can eat $30 of breakfast and Sunday dinner was limited to the bar menu which was terrible. My chicken burger, the seeming healthiest option, was fried in batter, and served with frites and 10 wilted leaves of baby greens because I asked for a side salad.

Do check the type of room that you book in as apparently it definitely does not look like anything in the photo.
I paid SGD1770, Euro 1150 for 3 nights and for EUR380 a night you are better off in another hotel and location. The receptionists are not very friendly neither are they of what you expect of Marriott Standard. Do be mindful that if you are also paying by American Express of pay wave, a \"5 star hotel\" doesn't even have these options.

I definitely over paid EUR 40 per night on www.hotels.com as if you book it at the hotel it will be Our 330.

For a twin room, do note the beds are So small that you might fall off the bed. Came as a shock to us as we did not expect the beds to be this uncomfortable.
Definitely do not recommend the price you pay for this location, service and comfortability.

I think its an overall nice property they have amazing view on top flours but the pictures nor does the wording describe the rooms, for example my room was a city view with balcony, I was on third floor looking a supermarket with no balcony - to be fair after getting hotels involved and back and forth I was moved to small room with nice view - so I wish they would have been upfront about the description and had a chosen a better room

During stay I found out the TV channel all fountion normal, only CCTV4 without sounds, which for me and my colleagues feel uncomfortable, muted Chinese channel. Even we called for check up, but nothings changes at all. Then when we checkout one car parking for two day, which billed in to two rooms, double charged. But customer services solve this problem was fast.

The hotel staff (especially the manager, Alexander) was very friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and above all, quiet from street noise. The hotel is very centrally located near a metro station with lots of train lines. The ONLY thing I would warn users about is Expedia misrepresenting the rooms and their pricing. We ordered specifically a king size bed, bathtub and city view. When got to the hotel, they only had queen size beds for the price range we paid for on Expedia. The hotel gave us the upgrade but did not have to.

I travel about 60% of the time, staying in mostly five-star hotels. The Renaissance is solid- nice rooms (small, but it's Paris), good food (lunch and dinner are great, breakfast was oddly not good), English speaking staff (if you need it), perfect location (République Metro is literally 5 seconds away), good cleaning service (I needed a suit attended to upon arrival, and they were great) and good service (was unable to reach front desk via telephone a few times, but when I did interact with hotel they were friendly, accommodating, and helpful). My understanding is that the hotel is still relatively new, so they may still be ironing kinks. Notwithstanding, I would return.

PS. The only thing you might want to check out is the arrangement of the bathroom, which is atypical. Essentially, the bathroom is part of the design of the room.

It's not a 5-star hotel. A 4-star maybe. The location is terrible, the room is too tight (maybe for one person) and service is bad. I am in a 2-month Europe trip over 9 cities with my wife, and that was the worst hotel so far, even thought it was the most expensive. Totally overpriced and disappointing.

Stylish But Not Flawless.

A very nice hotel, could use some maintenance. The rooms were excellent but shockingly the couches in the lobby look like they’d give you bed bugs! How does a hotel let this happen? Very strange since the rooms are pristine and very stylish. Breakfast was great and the general vibe of the hotel feels cohesive and enjoyable. Definitely above a that regular chain hotel type of feel. They ran my card before I checked out and I had to ask for a charge back since it wasn’t the card I intended on using. They refunded me and due to the exchange it ripped me off $50. Still waiting for management to get back to me.

Luxury hotel in Republique area of Paris

I stayed for 3 nights in September. The room was small but very efficiently laid out, and the bed was very comfortable. Blackout curtains worked well. No desk but a small table with two chairs for work area. N'Espresso and teapot were nice touches. There is a small fitness center with elliptical and treadmills; some free weights but not much floor space. Breakfast in the lobby restaurant was nice but a bit pricey. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There are several nice restaurants in the area, and of course this is Paris, so wonderful food. I would definitely stay here again if business brings me back.

Very nice hotel, in a busy but not crowded area

Staff were very nice, it was a very hot day and it was nice to be greeted by a refreshing iced water by the porter after a long journey. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with suggestions for restaurants, Le Marine near the canal being one a short pleasant walk away. The only criticism I would have was the lack of a replacement bottle of water in the room each day, it’s an expensive option from the mini bar, other than that, I’d stay again.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, easy to access. The room is stylish and modern, it looks exactly like the photos or even better. The include breakfast adds great value to the whole experience.

The only thing is I emailed the hotel manager request a better view of the room 5 days before the trip, as I am going for a inspiration seeking trip. There is no email reply to me. There are some delays on the email.

Excellent Stay At Lovely Hotel In Paris

My Stay at The Renaissance Republique Hotel Was Fantastic. Me and My wife arrived early due to an Overnight flight and we were checking in early with no hassle. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is located within steps of the Metro (best way to get around Paris). There are tons of Restaurants and coffee shops in the neighborhood. Our rooms was cleaned daily and the gym was super clean and provided what’s needed for a “vacation workout”. The night before we were scheduled to leave our flight was cancelled and the Mgr offered us a discounted stay for the additional night. They also left us use their telephone to call our airline to reschedule our flight and shuttle. I would highly recommend this hotel. They are located in an awesome neighborhood and have very friendly and helpful staff. I plan to return to Paris next year and will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for your awesome service.

This modern hotel, part of the Marriott group is in a great location for exploring Paris.
Very clean with good sized rooms. The reception and concierge staff were helpful and knowledgeable as well as being friendly.
The room service menu was a little bit limited and several mistakes were made with our order. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great hotel, good location (if you are happy using the metro). Lots of positives but these slightly outweighed by the inappropriate art work throughout the public areas ( very explicit burlesque art in lobby, bar & restaurant). Bar staff very friendly but service was very poor, often dirty tables, while customers were searching for a seat, very long waits for service while staff chatting & messing around behind the bar. Hotel most suited to adult only groups definitely not a family environment, mini bar in room stocked with sex aids for example.

The room we were given had a tiny bathroom with no space for us to put our wash bags - we were informed all the rooms at that level were the same, so they kindly upgraded us which we really appreciated.

One thing that surprised me is that neither the first or the upgraded room had a bath. For a 5 (even 4) star hotel, that really is just standard.

Overall - it was a good stay - the room we eventually got was nice, clean and comfortable. the staff were lovely and the area is great too.

I think for a 5 star hotel though, there were a few things that were below parr.

The hotel may not look impressive from the outside and is not in the most attractive area of Paris. However, it is really nice inside. Had a 'Bobo' room which was a decent size, clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful and I would like to give a special mention to Fabian the concierge who arranged flowers, chocolates and a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary.

We had an amazing honeymoon experience at the renaissance. The staff was friendly and extremely accommodating. We stayed over Christmas and brought a small tree into our room. One day after being out, we came back to two Renaissance ornaments decorating our Charlie Brown Christmas tree - incredibly thoughtful. The hotel is in the perfect location to explore all of Paris.

I did not like the set up of the bathroom and you have to go next room for the sink. The bed was hard for me but comfortable for my husband. The breakfast was ok, not alot of choices, just egg, but their juice were fresh. I feel that the room is too tight, compared to the picture, not very comfortable. But the staff was very helpful, their restaurant recommendation was great.

The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the Republique metro station. . ... and surrounded by numerous bars and eateries from various regions of the world, so great for getting out. . . . .inside the hotel itself has an excellent bar, with a heated terrace, so great to chill out after a day exploring the city. ...... apart from this we were always greeted with a smile and helpful faces, which is always important. . . the hotel itself is brilliant, the decor, the bedrooms and the overall standard is very high. . . . .it is a great Base to use whether you are on vacation, a romantic weeks or on business. ...... in short it works for any occasion. ........ so highly recommended!!!

The hotel was located in a great area of the Marais that felt more like a neighborhood than where I usually stay in the 1st. The hotel was clean and had a spa and gym which is hard to find in a Parisienne hotel. The bar downstairs was great for a cappuccino in the morning or a glass of wine at the end of the day.

Nice modern hotel close to metro, shopping and dining. Very professional and helpful staff. Good looking rooms although a little small by North American standards. Overall very good and would stay again.

Still Great

Stayed here last year and liked it so much that we came back. The staff is Top Notch and so is the hotel. Rooms are bigger than most Paris hotels. Metro stop almost in front of the hotel makes it easy to get around. Highly recommended!

Horrible Experience

I have stayed at hotels all over the world and experienced everything from high to low end types. This hotel was by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I had an issue with my check-in, which was never addressed. I asked to speak to a manager, who refused to come and meet me in person and instead was relaying messages through the concierge. My charger which I accidentally left in the room was stolen from me. This hotel is over-priced and absolute garbage. There are far better hotels in Paris than this that are much cheaper, and better located with much much nicer staff. NEVER AGAIN

Lovely stay. Hotel is a bit outside of the tourist core but also opens you to a wonderful arrondissement that needs to be explored especially to eat!

The rooms were immaculate, the service was great including turndown service and delivery of cookies, and it was very close to the Metro station which allowed us to access the whole city from there. Great Hotel
