The hotel was very different from the photos shown on the website. The room and the overall condition of the property were poorly maintained and there was a bad smell. The place did not look like what was advertised online.
Because of these issues, my wife and I decided to leave the property immediately and did not stay there or use the room at all. It was very stressful because we had to look for another hotel late at night in a city that was unfamiliar to us.
Unfortunately, even though we did not use the accommodation, the hotel did not refund our payment. I hope the platform reviews properties more carefully and ensures that photos and descriptions truly reflect the real condition of the accommodation so that other travelers can make informed decisions.

The room has a lots of pipes and can’t sleep of the noise of the water dropping in the ceiling then the light went off and did not turned on again. There is only one shared bathroom and toilette for the whole pad. Even the sink is just a full hole if something falls you can’t get it. We ask if we can get refund because we are supposed to stay until the fourth day but unfortunately you can’t get refund as we ask from receptionist. Maybe if it’s only one night stay it would be okay.

I was booked into this hotel and new it wasn't a high stare place but was only going to be there for a couple nights. The day before we were going to check in I got alerted to some more newer reviews of the. Pictures not being accurate, that there were bugs and it was unclean. There was no way I was going to stay there as it would be a health risk. So I contacted Expedia to try and cancel and the property wouldn't reply and I was told I couldn't get a refund. I will continue to fight that because this property should be looked into by them if they have any standards.

The property is in a poor state and unsafe. There’s no lift to the upper floors and the tinny staircase is not lite.

I asked to view the room an arrival before carrying my bags in and I immediately booked an Uber and left to another hotel despite having paid.

Property is rundown and not kept up. Room also run down, has toilet, sink. One sharable shower on third floor that worked but cluttered with non essentials, lacked places to hold soap etc, 'broken' shower head that you had to hold to use. Overall good location, 20 minutes walk to Notre Dame, Louvre, close to subways, trains, restaurants, patisseries. Farther to Eiffel Tower, arc de triomphe (use subway). Overall, recommend paying more and hopefully get a better place.

The hotel was disgusting, the bathroom was very dirty, the toilet wasn't working, the floors were extremely dirty as well, the night table was broken and the building in general was not clean at all. The staff not really helpful, hard to communicate with them in English or French. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very affordable very clean great area in Paris very close to everything staff where very friendly and helpful definitely worth the price .Communal toilets and showers however they where very clean and tidy. I would recommend this hotel if your on a budget or your a student or don’t want to pay a crazy price 9/10 will be visiting again.

The room looked nothing like the photos. There were cockroaches in our room. The only view we had was dead birds. The bathroom was so small and there was no room to stand in it. It was fine for a one night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful but that was about it. There was nothing good about this room, stay somewhere else.

The property does not look like it’s pictures, at all! The toilet is in the middle of the room so keep that in mind if you’re rooming with friends etc. it’s dirty and I had to ask for towels. The only thing that makes it OK is the location.

I have never had a worse experience in a hotel or motel any place in the world in my entire life. A dirty room, with a passive aggressive staff, they were unhelpful in every possible way, with rude reactions. It was so bad that I left the hotel after less than 48 hours, instead of the six day stay that I had paid for and with no possible reimbursement available. This place is a scam. Do not trust the pictures you see on the listings, they are not accurate at all. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, IT IS A HOSTAL AND A BAD ONE AT THAT.

After a 12 hour flight, I got there only to find that the room they gave me was not even close to looking like the one on their listing and it had NO BATHROOM. The place is dirty, smelly and decaying.

I left immediately and have been fighting to get a refund for weeks now.

Terrible experience. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Absolute scam stay away!

Absolutely awful place, paid for a ‘private bathroom which was just a toilet and shower put down in the middle of the room, very unclean place, hairs all over the bed, wallpaper was peeling off the walls and the curtains which were extremely disgusting didn’t fit the windows properly so no privacy whatsoever from the flats across the street.

The photos on the website are completely a fraud, staff weren't willing to help when we confronted and asked for a refund as we would have to find somewhere else to stay as it felt completely unsafe, the door had clearly been kicked in multiple times to change the locks and also the addition of no privacy meant we couldn’t get changed in the room without someone peering in the window.

No towels were provided nor any warm bedding, the outlets to plug chargers into weren’t working at all the only outlet that did was one in the ceiling for the mounted tv which also didn’t work as the remote was for a different TV.

The walls are extremely thin and there is a shared toilet in the hallway to your room so can hear the other tenants ridiculously easy, also the smell~

The place was totally unclean, dust everywhere and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years, not really what you want when there’s a toilet 2 feet from the bed. Greasy floor as well it felt like an unclean kitchen.

Front door into the reception if you could call it had was unlocked all night and had no security whatsoever throughout the building.

Complete scam do not stay!

Le Petit Borda is a derelict building masquerading as a hotel. It's basically a scam.

I booked a double with its own private bathroom based on the lovely photos. What I actually got was quite shocking and nothing like the photos.

There was no hot water for two days. No toilet paper, no towels - nothing. The private bathroom didn't exist at all. It was a toilet in sight of the bed. There was smelly bird faeces on the curtains. Damp and mould in the bedroom. Sharp rusty spikes on the bed itself make it dangerous to use. Filthy smelly mouldy showers crammed with old hairs. Disgusting floors not cleaned in months. The leaking roof drips onto the stairs making it dangerous to use. The furniture and fittings are damaged.

Worst of all, the staff are complacent, uncaring and rude. They're not bothered by their appalling reviews.

This is not a hotel; it is a dosshouse unfit for human habitation.

I made a formal complaint about this because this place was a joke, the picture on your website is not of the hotel, it’s of the place across the street, the lights didn’t work in half of the room, your pictures show a shower, but it’s downstairs and it stinks, there was hair in the bed, the never cleaned the bed, the television had no signal, the water was cold and the sink was clogged and then when I complained the guy told me to call booking, they don’t care, she even tried to put me in a room I didn’t pick, and lied and told me it was the room I picked. I already complained to booking and disputed the charges. Because they should not get away with treating people like that. Clean up and put some lights in the hallways.

Extremely basic hotel with excess toss-away furniture crossing the tiny room, and dirty shared shower on a separate floor. People drank and argued til four in the morning outside my hotel window which kept me up all night.
Never in my life have I canceled a reservation and moved my to another hotel but I did this time. Naturally no refund for this.

This place looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. It's shabby, rooms are not nice, bathrooms are average. It seemed like there was only one very small toilet and one shower for two floors of rooms.

No air con or heating in the room we stayed in. (It was a heat wave in Paris at the time and the room was actually hotter than outside at some points)

It didn't feel super safe over all. I also didn't spot any smoke detectors in the rooms or hallways.

We left a night early and went somewhere else for our last night in Paris because this place was just not good.

However the bed is okay, if you literally just want a bed in Paris for a night then it might do you just fine.

Room had no toilet which was not disclosed when I had booked the room. Nor did staff let me know where there was a toilet. I had to look around the whole building and when I finally found one it was a 1m x 1m cupboard filled with spiders and cobwebs. Bowl was also stained brown. This also meant there was no shower in the room and I didn’t know where there was one, staff did not let me know. Luckily I had a friend nearby. The room was confusing, small bed and weird room lay out, however, had nice windows overlooking the Parisian streets. Hard to find as the reception was in what I can only assume is an out of operation cafe. Wouldn’t stay here again but didn’t have a horrible time.

After walking up 4 flights of stairs I was shown the pink, 8'x10' room that I dubbed \"my cell\". The mattress on the cot was stiff and the pillow felt like a sack of flour. However the sheets were clean. The shared bathroom was small and dingy. And don't forget to bring in your own TP! A mistake I never made again. I was scared to check out the communal shower since I didn't stay long. The staff were friendly to me but while I was going out once, the older woman was screaming at the younger one trying to get her to leave, to the point of picking up a chair and \"poking\" her out the door, lion tamer style. I think they were mother/daughter but my French isn't that good. For a backpacker on a budget it was adequate. But lower your expectations. It did not match the listing.

That place has nothing to do with the pictures shown on various websites. It’s not clean, promises bathtub/shower in some (more expensive) rooms while they are absent, and a complaining customer was served the same type of lies (“under renovation”, “we don’t see the pictures posted on the websites”, “sorry, didn’t know you were told there was a shower in your room” than others. To add insult to injury, the shared shower was dirty and didn’t have hot water… in the middle of winter. A total disgrace

Very cute, close to transit and restaurants, quintessentially Parisian. Several nights there were folks partying loudly until all hours of the night. I was surprised to arrive and find out the shower was shared and on a different floor. They were also doing some renovations when we were there. It was comfy and warm and the price was right.

What an unfortunate stay. We chose location over comfort and underestimated how bad it would be. This hotel had none of the amenities listed by hotels.com, no housekeeping, no 24/7 front desk staff and we barely saw staff at all. The bathroom was not private as promised and the communal shower door did not lock. The floors were dirty. When I finally saw an employee and asked about the wifi, he took my phone out of my hand and logged me into the wifi of a different hotel down the street. The room was locked in at 80 degrees so we had to choose between hot, stuffy room or open windows out onto the loud street. At one point the owner got into a loud argument with someone in the lobby and there was quite a bit of yelling. I was so uncomfortable here I wanted to leave and stay somewhere else, but unfortunately we were in town over a holiday weekend and it was too difficult and spendy to go somewhere new. I would not feel safe staying here alone. I have no idea why they are endorsed by Hotels, but all I can say is please do your research ahead of time, and avoid this place.

There was no one at reception, despite the hotel saying they have 24/7 service. We had to wait awhile before anyone even noticed we were there.

They then informed us that we reserved a communal toilet room, despite it not being an option during the reservation process. Our reservation confirmation did not indicate anything about a communal toilet/shower. Most people would assume that a \"hotel\" with a high nightly rate gives you a private bathroom; they should advertise as a hostel at most if they are charging for communal amenities.

For a little extra money, save the hassle and reserve a slightly costlier hotel.

The room itself smelt moldy and was somewhat unclean. The mattress was old and uncomfortable to the point we could feel the metal bed bar under our backs. There was initially no hot water and we had to ask the front desk to turn it on.

The hallway lights do not work. The lock on the communal toilet did not work. The doors are sticky so you need to push them open forcefully. I would feel unsafe staying here alone knowing that anyone could walk in from the street at any point and make their way into the dark halls.

The most helpful person during our stay was a woman who claimed she didn't even work there, it seemed like a family run establishment and she was just a relative. She moved us to another room for our second night, since another guest cancelled. This room was a little better.

In general, does not seem very legit nor comfortable, and I will not be back.

THE WORST NIGHTMARE EVER

I went to this hellhole with my boyfriend for our anniversary, this is what i fund

-The room was filthy and smelled as dump
-We fund a Mars snack wrap under the bed, together with a inch of dust
-The room was absolutely not the the one we chose and saw pictures of
-On the reservation it didn t say that the shower was going to be shared,
-On the reservation it said the hotel had a bathtub (it did not exist)
-The little bathroom we had in our room had not been cleaned
-The receptionist was rude and started shouting at us in french when we complained about the room conditions
-On the sunday morning we were NAKED in the room and at 1.30 pm the housekeeper walked into the room without knocking and asking us to leave, i had to cover myself with a towel and show her the reservation, that my checkout was on the monday, as she didn t want to leave

We had the WORST TIME and our anniversary holiday got completely ruined. We didn t have any support from hotel.com as at the moment, when i first contacted you, the operator said that she could not deal with the hotel as there was no one speaking french on your side, so i got left on my own

Best solution? DO NOT BOOK THIS HORRIBLE PLACE

Perfect for the price and location

This is a great spot for the price in the heart of Paris. While this place may not be for everyone (sink in the room but shared bathroom down the hall), it was perfect for me as a solo traveler looking to experience Paris on a budget. The owner was also very helpful in setting up my room so that I could check-in a few hours early. I would not hesitate to stay at this place again.

It is in a convenient location and much cheaper than most in the area. The room itself is clean and tidy, though not modern. The corridor and stairs are in need of a good clean, and quite dark if you don’t switch lights on yourself. There is no lift.

The reception is essentially non-existent, consisting of just one or two people lingering near a table. This would not be so unusual for a rural pensione or guest house in a developing country – but completely out of place for a hotel in the centre of Paris.

If you’re not used to Paris, or are not confident about your own security, you should probably consider spending 50€ more for an established hotel.

A lo largo de estos meses la experiencia con ustedes ha sido Geial. Pero esta vez tengo muchas cosas negativas que decir sobre el hotel.

1. No tiene letrero sobre el nombre más solo una vaya que dice hotel, estuvo rato intentando adivinar donde es.

2. La persona que atiende en las mañanas poco se entera de las cosss aparte no tiene mucho conocimiento de las actividades.

3. El cuarto está en pésimas condiciones, las sábanas sucias, el cuarto sucio, desordenado y aparte no tiene nada que ofrecer. Es literalmente un hueco.

4. Según la habitación que no lo especifica venía con el baño fuera. El baño que nos habilitaron que asco. Está dentro de otro cuarto y el nivel de cochinadad es increíble.. totalmente asqueroso e inhumano. Paredes con moho, huecos, el agua no baja, las regaderas no sirven. Un asco total

Este servicio de hotel no deberían de ofertarlo porque lo que hace es reducir el nivel de experiencia con ustedes.

Nous sommes rentrés dans la chambre et nous avons cherché un autre hôtel directement!!!
c’est une honte de louer une chambre dans cet état
Une honte de trouver un hôtel comme celui-là en France dans un état comme ça et même pas aux normes
La douche et les toilettes sur le palier dans un état pitoyable
Les draps taché de jaune des poils
et qui sentait encore la personne qui avait dormi avant !!!!
De l’eau, coulée du plafond dans une poubelle
Hotel, vraiment à fuir !!!!!!

Hotel totalement insalubre, je ne comprend même pas qu'il puisse être proposé sur ce site.
Chambre très sale, douche condamné, draps non propre, pas de taies sur les cousins qui servent d'oreillers, pas de serviettes de bain et j'en passe. Il fait voir les photos pour le croire.
A ce demander si ce n' est pas un hôtel de passe...

Hôtel décevant. Très très vieillissant, des étiquettes de sécurité encore a l'ancien nom de l'établissement.

Salle de bains privative, oui, c'est a dire cabine de douche et WC dans la chambre, sans cloison. Placards sales, encore un papier de biscuit sous le lit. Mais personnel aimable, oui. Il est dommage de devoir aller demander une serviette au petit matin.

Un séjour honteux, très sale avec carrément beaucoup de craces, du sang sur la couverture, un pansement usagé dans les draps ... on a du même quitter les lieux en urgences à cause d'un groupe de 4 hommes très suspects et nettement bien habitués à cet hôtel.
Je demande un remboursement et franchement je ne comprends pas pourquoi avec des photos d'annonces mensongères et beaucoup de mauvais avis ils sont toujours présents.

Nous sommes de le niveau de prestations hotelières de \"vendeurs\" de sommeil\". l'hôtel est insalubre. le concierge de nuit dort un canapé de l'accueil. l'hôtel est très. impossble d'utiliser la douche et son évier. l'évier dans la chambre et sale n'était pas lavé / traces dans poils de barbe rasée dans l'évier. Oreiller non lavé. je demande de me faire intégralement rembourser de cette nuités non conforme aux photos du site par rapport à la réalité de l'état de l'hotel. Je vous demande d'alerter les autorités de l'insalubrité de cet hotel mettant les voyageurs en réel danger.

Chambre sale, wc qui bouge, douche insalubre sans parler du pommeau de douche..
Lit inconfortable, on s'enfonce dans le matelas. Nous n'avons pas les mots.. Etablissement qui ne devrait même pas accueillir des personnes.

Det værste hotelophold nogensinde – ulækkert og ua

Jeg har aldrig haft en dårligere hoteloplevelse. Sengen var stenhård, og værelset var ulækkert og ubehageligt at opholde sig i. Der var ingen fungerende aircondition, hvilket gjorde det umuligt at sove uden at svede. Servicen var elendig, og hele stedet føltes mere som et fængsel end et hotel.

Bad og toilet ude på gangen var så klamt, at jeg ikke engang ville bruge det. Inde på værelset hang stikkontakterne ud af væggen, og håndvasken var løs og ved at falde ned. Det er fuldstændig vanvittigt at lade gæster bo under de forhold.

Det her er uden tvivl et af de værste hoteller, jeg nogensinde har boet på, og jeg ville ikke engang anbefale det til min værste fjende.
