The elevated bathtub was a little dangerous, both my daughter and I slipped getting in and out. There are no handles in the bathroom to help you hold on. Also the room is very small. Nightstands should have storage.
Location was good, very close to Subway and the staff very friendly and helpful

Solly Hotel is a fabulous comfortable refuge from the busy city. The rooms are small but that's typical of Parisian hotel rooms. Visiting the city in the winter made the rooms feel more cosy and comforting on return from a days sightseeing and shopping. Staff are very welcoming, rooms and bathroom impeccably clean. Easy walk to 4 different Metro stations and loads of great restaurants in the area. I have found my new home from home in Paris! I'll be back soon.

The hotel itself is really lovely - the décor, look and feel were all very pleasing, and our room (Room 5) was spacious and nicely done. Unfortunately, there were a few things that took away from the experience.

The main issue was that the room was far too warm, and we weren’t able to turn the temperature down. When we asked at reception, we were told the heating was central and couldn’t be adjusted, which made it quite uncomfortable to sleep.

Another problem was that our room is on the ground floor. We woke up early the first morning to the smell of food being cooked - not the most pleasant thing to wake up to. Our windows were closed, but as our bathroom window backs onto the hotel kitchen extractor fan (or possibly the kitchen window), the smell still came through quite strongly. This was only a problem on night 1, and we shared this with reception the next morning.

Finally, it would have been helpful to have somewhere to hang our towels - there were no hooks or proper rails, so we ended up hanging them over the radiator and a pole in the bathroom.

All in all, it’s a beautiful hotel with a lot of charm, but a few practical issues made the stay less comfortable than it could have been.

Great boutique property with amazing staff. We had a room on the 8th floor overlooking the park with views of the Eiffel tower and it was very quiet with the windows closed. But lovely to hear the city sounds with it opened. The room was welcoming, clean, stylish, and eco friendly. Loved the common areas on the ground floor to chill with friends.

The bathroom was slippery and I hurt myself while 'climbing' to enter the bathtub. I compained a few times but they only offered my an upgrade at a Price, which I had to take as like I said, the bathroom was slippery, and terrible to use. The glass partition in the bathtub was also broken and unsafe to be around. I hope the property takes care of this so as to avoid a Major Accident with some traveller. PLEASE take a Note of this.

Traditional hotel in outward appearance but with a more modern 'feel' inside. Well located in Paris, being only a 15 minute Metro ride from Gare de Norde. Very helpful staff.
Highlight must be the breakfast 'experience'. Lovely range of options to choose from while, at the same time, watching preparation of range for next day!

The Solly Hotel’a location is great to check out Paris. We were able to either walk or take the metro everywhere. The staff was amazing and the room was quite clean. While the noise of the city was not an issue, the soundproofing between rooms and between floors is far from adequate. Maybe it was our dumb luck that our neighbors next to us were showering and talking extremely loud at 2 am (not the hotel’s fault). If you are a light sleeper, definitely bring your ear plugs.

room was extremely small, there was enough space to open just 1 small suitcase. The shower stall was very leaky, very uncomfortable to shower and it was so small. Also very barebone bathroom amenities, bathroom did not even have conditioner. Overall stay was just uncomfortable, the room looked much nicer in the pictures.. We stayed in another hotel in Paris with the same square footage but it felt so much bigger. We've stayed at many rooms with this sq footage but somehow this room was by far the smallest, this makes us feel like the room size was falsely advertised. This hotel is not worth its price point.. it was over $300/night and the room doesn't even have water or coffee.. we just feel like we were duped by the nice photos when the room fell short by a mile.

Hôtel Solly was just as you see in the photos! Delightful! Location was very safe and convenient! Metro just a few blocks away! Staff, accommodating and friendly! Everyone spoke English! What more could you ask for. We would definitely stay here again should we visit Paris in the future.

On my first day there I noticed my shower gel was empty, I reported this to reception at around 2pm, unfortunately I found out the following morning it was still out, as was the hand soap.

When I reported this for a second time, the girl working didn’t seem very concerned or apologetic. I’m really surprised given the price and the 4 stars that these things get missed.

I slept terribly due to being able to hear every step upstairs and every voice outside in the hall way. There was little to none sound proofing.

The shower was frustrating too, and found myself struggling to get in and out due to the poor lay out.

Breakfast was good.

Lots of men urinating directly outside the hotel. Gross.

Decent hotel in a good location with friendly service. The lobby is really nice but for the price point I would expect a bit higher quality rooms. Room was very tiny. Lots of chipped paint and faucet looked mouldy. There was two types of tea but only one bag of each when we were two people staying there. Appreciate the eco friendly initiative of refillable bottles but there were no filled bottles in our room so had to go all the way back downstairs after arriving. Also no refrigerator in room. Quick walk to train stations and convenient to great dining options.

Solly Hotel was VERY comfortable. I really appreciated the bedding, the temperature of the room, the water pressure, etc. My only comment is that it is a hotel in Paris so the room was small. Fine for a solo traveler but it would have been tight for two people, especially if one doesn't travel light or is a shopper.

We recently stayed at Hotel Solly for 4 days and had a wonderful experience. After a long flight all the way from Hawaii, we were so grateful that our room was ready well before the official check-in time, which made our arrival much more relaxing.

The area around the hotel was clean and pleasant, and our room, complete with a lovely balcony, offered a beautiful view of the nearby park. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a long journey and enjoy the peaceful scenery.

The hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and its convenient location made it easy to explore the city. We would highly recommend Hotel Solly to anyone visiting the area.

Fabulous stay in a great neighborhood outside of the tourist areas of Paris. Easy walk to the l’Est train station and to numerous bars and restaurants. Side street from a busy street so it’s very easy to get an Uber. Perfect location and great staff! Very hospitable.

Please understand that my review applies only to room 83. The hotel is lovely, the staff are very kind and helpful. It would have been a wonderful stay except for the shockingly small room. Maybe the rooms on the other floors are bigger, I have no idea, but room 83 is Lilliputan in size. No drawers, just a closet and shelves. They should never put more than one person in this room. And the elevator? Let it be a surprise. I won’t try to describe it.

So, I had to scramble for a room elsewhere. They refunded my prepaid amount within 3 business days. So, I never actually stayed there

We were placed in a room on the second floor that shared a balcony with another room, which didn’t feel very secure, making us uncomfortable leaving the window open. I'm not sure why the rooms share balconies. The rooms at this property are also quite small. However, the view of the park was lovely, and the location was conveniently walkable to various attractions.

1. The balcony room we booked was way too small so we rebooked a suite for the week for apx $3,500

2. They took 1 of our robes from the room after several days, and took 1 of our room keys, we had to retrieve

3. They charged us for every coffee…should have been included

We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Solly. The site itself is beautiful, the rooms great and the beds super comfy!

We also loved the area and felt it was excellently connected to everything we wanted to do, with tonnes of amazing restaurants and bars within a close, easily walkable distance.

Cannot recommend the Solly highly enough, and if we come back to Paris we will definitely book here again!

Solly is a charming hotel facing a beautiful block-sized park. Short walk to one metro station, very doable walk to another metro - 4 metro lines at your disposal. Rooms are fresh from an update standpoint. If you are used to dealing with small rooms, Solly shouldn't be a problem. The shower enclosure is small width-wise and not much storage for your clothes. Daily room cleaning was effective and thorough. Lobby is lovely. So many shopping, bakery and dining options around Solly in all directions.

The staff were great! The breakfast is a bit repetitive but with a decent selections of options. The park across the street is very active with locals and families, it's nice to see. Always choose your location wisely in Paris depending on where you want to be mostly as traffic is terrible and many places can be walked to nearly as fast as driving!
