The hotel is in a good area if you want a less touristy part of the city. It is a historic hotel and it is well kept. There are plenty of coffee shops, eateries, stores and access to buses and metro. It is safe and generally quiet after dark. Some of the staff were not as friendly as others. The internet didn't work for the first two days of our stay and they sometimes rudely insisted that it was our iPhones even though our phones are relatively new. They finally got that fixed by adding another Internet line. One evening we lost power and I went to ask what was going on and I was yelled at by the person in the lobby who claimed that we lost power presumably because we used the coffee maker. I'll admit it was very hot and maybe the electric grid was strained, but the very rude way I was treated was uncalled for. Although the hotel is nice and most staff are nice, I would not stay at this hotel again.
