Room was solid and clean, but very stuffy. Air condition didn’t seem to work and even with the windows open the air felt heavy and humid in the room. And because of the way the windows face, the room gets great sunlight but it makes it very warm during the day. Windows are not well sound proofed so noise from the plaza made it hard to fall aslee. Mattress was quite firm (not my preference, but not so firm as to be unsleepable). Gym is VERY bare bones and there’s no ventilation and minimal equipment that sorely needs to be updated. All that said, overall decent, very centrally located and convenient.

Yes, the first night arrived late and got a room, which was not what I had requested, but the next day I was moved to a perfect room and the hotel moved my luggage to the new room while I was away. The service at the hotel was good and I recommend staying there.

This is a perfectly nice hotel for Paris. I would not book the top floor, 4th floor, as the room only has two small windows at the top of the wall. One person described it as a maid quarters. It did feel a bit underwhelming. The room was fine for one person and I had 2 suitcases. Nice mini fridge and the ice/water stations on every floor were great. Bath/shower is not limited mobility friendly. You have to step up into the tub and the step down from the tub is roughly 18\".

This hotel is close to everything. The metro is on the same block, pharmacy across the park, grocery stores and bakeries within two blocks. The food gets better if you get a couple blocks away from Republique Park. I was there over NYE and there was never a crush of tourists around.

Be aware there is a large homelss encampment on the North side of building. They were never a problem and not once did they bother me or ask for money. I did take them a bag of the items I wasn't taking back with me so I had more room in my suitcase and any extra euros. The only draw back is my room was on the back street and they would get noisy between 10 pm and 1 a.m. I just put on a podcast and went to sleep. The staff were great, super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again as I loved the neighborhood feel and easy metro ride anywhere.

Excellent staff who makes your stay comfortable and memorable. The bedrooms are comfortables, clean and furnished with good mattresses. The buffet breakfast is delicious with so much to choose and serve always by a staff very nice. Our family of 5 have been there for the second time and we will come back!

Greatly located on the Republic Place, perfect location to be close to everything by Metro or Taxi.
Staff are awesome, friendly and multi languages speakers.
Very nice place to stay

2 small downsides:
- be careful with the demonstration, as Paris is highly place for riots, Republic Place is often closed by the Police when demonstration are ongoing
- Can be a little noisy on first floor as the hotel have an outdoor bar located in the center of the hotel. Not after 11pm.

Initial impression was that front office staff did not want to be bothered. We arrived slightly early and were told someone would come get us when our room was ready. They basically forgot about us and we had to hunt someone down to get our key. Buffet in the morning was really good, great selection and clean. Rooms needed new carpet and remodel, but cleaning staff did a good job with what they were working with. The area is not great for families lots of protests across the street in the evenings that draw large crowds. If you plan on taking the metro a lot, it is a good location to get around from.

The location was fine, people at the reception were cordial and helpful, the concierge was very, very helpful, my room was clean and comfortable. I had asked for a quiet room with a shower and that is what I got.
Breakfast was exceptional and was very reasonable if booked at the time of registration.

A perfect Stay

We are delighted to have found this hotel. The rooms were a nice size and very clean. The restaurant on the first floor was good, and the second floor featured a beautiful terrace lounge and restaurant. There was also a nice breakfast. One of its best features was its location. A funky area and just a 25-minute walk to Notre Dame. Its metro line, featuring four different stations steps away, made access to any part of Paris extremely quick and easy.

The common areas such as lobby and bar are really nice but the rooms were so basic and uncomfortable considering how expensive it is. This type of bedroom you would expect at a budget cheap hotel. Also the room on the square is extremely noisy no sound proofing. On a positive note the staff were wonderful and the bar is nice. However, I would not stay here again taking into account the price!

I was in the hotel literally just to sleep. I loved the fact that metra is right outside the property/hotel.
At night is a bit noisy and bathroom toilet kept making a loud noise.

This property is absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly knowledgeable, and very helpful. They provided me directions to get around the city to locate the hotel is located perfectly. There are food, restaurants, grocery stores, liquor stores directly across the street on there’s a square. That’s perfect for walking in late night stuff everything stays open late. The hotel immaculate it’s super super clean. The best were amazingly comfortable. It’s clean. The rules were large. The hotel is in mint condition. The staff is superb exceeded all my expectations.

It was not what I expected after reading the reviews. It was old and dirty. The carpet was sticky. The paint in the bathroom was peeling. The hallways were dark and dingy. It just felt dirty and old and outdated. It also was so loud. It is right across the street from a big open space where so many people hang out at all times of the day. There was a soup kitchen there one day for the homeless. Homeless people sleeping all over the place and graffiti on stuff. The only positives were that it was steps away from the underground train station and there are a lot of restaurants around. Other than that, I would not recommend this hotel or this area.

This was the second time we stay at this hotel. We really like the location and the food options around it. The metro station is right next to it so it makes it convenient. The breakfast buffet is great, the staff is friendly and offering suggestions for restaurants and/or things to do. The only thing that was off this time was cleanliness of the room. The shower was not as clean as I expected. I let the front staff know and they accommodated a room change. That one was good to go.

I would not consider Crowne Plaza a 4 star hotel (more a 3 star). Rooms and bathrooms on the small side, ours was toward the plaza at it was noisy at night. The a/c didn’t worked neither the fridge and was never fixed in neither room (we had 2). To be fair we were moved to another room after the 3rd night (just us the other room remained with same issues). Elevators floor looked dirty. Concierge & front desk staff were nice and diligent.
Breakfast and Location very good, near lots of restaurants and brasseries on the area. In general wouldn’t choose to stay here again nor recommended.

A great hotel in a handy location for lots of the top tourist sites in Paris. Located next to a metro station with several lines so really easy to get around. We throughly enjoyed Paris, and the Crown Paris Republique, and would recommend staying here.

There were a few negatives: beds in our room were terrible. Really uncomfortable, and as they were height adjustable, if you got anywhere near the edge then you would feel like you were about to roll out. Also although it's a great location, the square is a bit run down with lots of skateboarders all day, homeless people near to the hotels main entrance, and people standing around drinking in the streets, making it noisy at night-time. As the ground floor of part of the hotel is made up of shops then it is out of the hotels control.

Positives were plentiful: handy to get to, staff were all friendly and helpful. Set in a beautiful building, food was great, and although I've criticised the square outside, it really was in a great location for everything we needed.

We all really enjoyed our stay here, and would return (though would enquire about different beds!).

I reached to expedia to reduce the number of days for my trip, which has unfortunately not been resolved despite assurances from both Expedia and the hotel.

Here’s a summary of what has transpired:

Initial Promise: I was informed by Expedia four days prior to my arrival that the adjustment could be made and a credit would be issued.
Current Status: Upon arrival, I was told the hotel is waiting on Expedia, and Expedia is waiting on the hotel. Now, I am being informed that no credit will be issued.
This miscommunication and lack of resolution are disappointing, especially after being promised otherwise.

as of today, no credit has been issued and I have been informed the case is closed due to the hotel.

The stay was perfectly satisfactory, however, it was marked down for several reasons:
1. The hallways were very dated and a little worn
2. The room and bathroom were satisfactory, however, the TV was a very small broadcast-only 21-inch mounted on the wall. There were no cable/movie channel choices (Netflix etc.) even for a payment.
3. The room service menu was limited as was the food and menu in the bar.

This is a great hotel, with great service. Went for my friends 40th Birthday and they brought a surprise to the room which was appreciated. There are two things I would improve for this hotel. 1) Lighting in the room. There is mood lighting but if you wanted to iron your clothes in the evening it was not easy due to the lack of bright light. 2)There was also now power sockets close to mirrors. Which meant we had to blow dry hair and straighten hair without using a mirror. The hair dryer and the power socket in the bathroom did not work. But apart from these two things this is an amazing hotel, the location is extremely central.

The République station runs right under the hotel- this along with the central Paris location means nothing is too far away- minutes to Galleries Lafayette- minutes to Montmarte/ Eiffel Tower/ the Lourve and Notre Dame-
This hotel also has a beautiful facade - rooms are well appointment and comfortable-
