I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Marais Home for three nights. The location is fantastic, with a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. Place de la Republique is a short walk away and has a lively atmosphere.

The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I had forgotten my adaptor and they let me borrow one for the duration of my stay. They had great recommendations for restaurants as well.

As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe and comfortable. I recommended this hotel highly.

There was a terrible SEWER smell coming from the bathroom. The sliding bathroom door didn’t work, so I had to cover the shower drain with a towel and the sink drain with an upside-down glass to reduce the smell. The room was very small, with no room to put your suitcase and the carpet was dirty. Avoid at all cost.

Great location near Republique Metro, from which it's very easy to get around and transfer to any needed line. Very quiet, with friendly people at the front desk. Nice breakfast, which included a variety of pastries, yogurt, granola, cold cuts, cheeses, scrambled and boiled eggs, juice, and many coffee drinks. We stayed in the Junior Suite, on the top floor, which was spacious for a Paris hotel room. There was coffee, water, and pastry in the lobby all day.

The one issue I had with the hotel was the cleaning service. When we arrived, despite the room having just been cleaned, the floor was visibly dusty along the wall and in the corners, and the previous guest had left a takeout food container on our balcony. We told one person at the desk, but it was never taken away. Further, on a daily basis, it was pretty clear that the only \"cleaning\" that took place was making the beds and replacing the towels. For example, I had accidentally spilled some lotion on the toilet seat, and was in a rush to leave. When we returned to the room later that day, the beds were made, but that lotion drop was still there. Tissues were not replaced when the box was empty.

I would still highly recommend this hotel for the location, quiet, breakfast, and front desk staff, but they do need to talk to their cleaning people.

Cute boutique hotel in Marais region close to shopping and many food options. Very close to popular BOUILLON RÉPUBLIQUE so be sure to make a reservation to avoid the long lines. Check in process was a bit of a disappointment as it was indicated that there was a possibility of checking in early in 2 communications with the hotel but the person at the day time check in was curt and adamant check in could only occur at the time specified in the website. It is not unusual to offer an earlier check in if the rooms are available. While we did get a nice upgraded room it wasn't the room type I had booked in Expedia but that appears to be an issue with the Expedia communication with the hotel. The breakfast had lots of options and the breakfast room was very nice. Appreciate the availability of an elevator especially since we were on a higher floor.

Hotel Marais Home was an absolute gem of a find in Paris. The staff were exceedingly helpful and courteous and always found a way to inject a bit of humour. The room was very clean and well supplied. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with more options than I have ever seen at any hotel. I highly recommend this hotel and its great location just steps from Republic Square.

The staff at this hotel are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It is in a great location, just off the repulique square and a short walk to Marais shops. The room was small but very cosy and well equipped. The Gym is very small and the sauna costs extra, but we didn't have time to use them. There is a coffee machine in the room and in reception to help yourself to coffee all fay. There are also sweets and pastries available.We would definitely stay here again due to the location and friendliness of the staff. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The stay overall was great! There is an elevator, small but efficient for 2 people plus luggage. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was decent - variety of options including yogurt, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cereals, fresh fruit, juices, coffee, croissants and bread. We stayed in the “Home” room which is the largest. The room was very spacious (for Paris) and bed was comfortable. The only complaint is the train noise - you can hear as it passes every few minutes. We got accustomed to the train noise and I used ear plugs to sleep. The location is fantastic, nestled between Oberkampf and République metro stations. There are many coffee shops and vintage/thrift stores in the area. It is just about a 15 minute walk to the lovely Le Marais neighborhood.

This hotel is perfectly located near Le Marais, making it easy to explore Paris. The highlight of our stay was Nada, the manager, who provided exceptional customer service. She was incredibly friendly and professional, even upgrading our room when possible. The next morning, we saw her helping with breakfast, ensuring every guest had a great experience. We were given a room that was too small for 3 adults. As well, the shower was an problem as it was opened at the entrance of the bathroom - the water from the shower would be all over the bathroom floor with only one glass panel preventing the water from pooling around the toilet. After a shower, the entire floor was wet and required extra towels to manage the water. As well, the room was cold and there were insect traps under the bed and behind the safe in the closet. We asked for another room but none was available. The concierge did provide extra towels that were needed and did follow-up on issue with the people cleaning the room; for example, no new towels left, no tissue or toilet paper. The breakfast was included and it was substantial.

Upgraded to a much larger room which was ideal. The staff were very nice and the Hotel is in a great location if you want to be close to independent restaurants and near to canal st Martin. Breakfast was a nice continental. Room did not come with an iron. The rooftop terrace was nice for a wine in the evening.

Some people may find the Place de la Republique a bit seedy, but I found it authentically Parisian. Close to everything. I'd definitely stay here again!

Great safe and secure base to enjoy Paris.

Breakfast was adequate and of decent quality. Location in the basement was nice, although a bit of a squeeze if you hit rush hour. Room was prepared nicely. Clean and comfy. Loved the 24 hr reception. Felt really safe and secure. Staff were polite and welcoming, wouldn’t hesitate to use again as a base. Local area was vibrant and access to transport was great. 20-25 min walk gard du nord station with plenty of stopping places.

This is common in Paris - Standard room was so tiny, my closed suitcase could barely fit. Thankfully I was solo, so not an issue.

My kettle was broken, but staff simply didn’t have a replacement, and helpfully suggested I go downstairs for hot water lol.

There was a persistent loud drip that bothered me all night, and despite waking to tighten the taps & shower, it didn’t stop. Next morning I realised it was the ceiling dripping. Fortunately it dripped into the shower section and spared the bathroom floor flooding! I didn’t stay long enough to check if both issues were sorted out.

The “rooftop” is a teensie space with view of chimneys so I reading know what others were raving about lol.
Continental breakfast was decent for a day, but if staying longer, much better to wander out and get a fresh croissant / pain au chocolat & better coffee from any of the nearby cafes.

Despite the glitches, overall a decent place with fantastic location and friendly staff.

As a big guy I was worried about the shower size in such a small room, but was pleasantly surprised with a full size shower. We absolutely adored this hotel and the staff! We stayed 4 nights. The rooms are modern and there are artful touches everywhere. Don’t miss out on the beautiful but small rooftop deck for an aperitif (which you can get in the lobby).

The street directly outside is loud and bustling, so if you’re looking for a quiet Paris neighborhood, this might not suit you. We enjoyed the city don and slept with our windows open.

Plenty of walkable bistros and cafes, as well as a wonderful Boulangerie steps out the lobby door, but the hotel offers breakfast onsite if you choose.

Close to metro, though we walked everywhere.

We were a big group of people, staying for just a couple of nights, but we really loved our stay here! All the staff - reception, breakfast room, cleaners - were just so friendly and accommodating during our whole stay. Breakfast was all fresh and varied, the rooms were authentically Paris sized and kept very clean, and the noise really wasn't as bad as I'd expected it to be. Wish I could remember everyone's names, but thank you to Louis who made us feel very welcome straight away and was so helpful throughout!

EVERYONE was super helpful and respectful especially Mabel who saved our trip by helping us with the HDMI wiring from my laptop to the TV and giving us the adapter for our U.S. plugs to charge the laptop. We were able to enjoy some Netflix in the evening after the days are done. The location was at a perfect location of many food options and the Metro near by. The only downfall, was the shower was a bit small and 1 of the side door was broken. However, we made the Best out of it and our experience with the staff and hotel made up for it so we didn't complain about it at all. Overall, this was the Best hotel I ever stayed in my life thus far.

I booked 2 room and paid the same price but room 502 is more spacious than 504. I spoke with the Manager who initially declined my request to get the other room with the same layout but I advised her I am not happy with the other room. She ended up putting us in 602 which is better in terms of size but it smells! Like the room is not aired out or no sufficient ventilation. Everytime we go back to the room from our daily stroll, we have to always open the window which is an inconvenience since ioutside air is cold. We have to keep doing this on a daily basis until we had to leave back home. Staff is average though and they can speak english which is good. Breakfast has very few selection and the room is very small, it can only accomodate less than 15 people

Fantastic bijoux hotel, great location

Unbelievable little find, great wee bijoux hotel. 40mins from airport (cdg) able to check in online so we just had to give id & lift key at reception. Very warm welcome when we arrived & they emailed us that morning to find out our arrival time.
We stayed in a deluxe room which was on the top floor (602) it was small but had everything we needed, bed was so comfortable, shower was fab & it had a balcony you could sit out on. We could see sacré coeur & we were also able to see the Eiffel tower which was class when it sparkles on the hour!!!
Fab location, on the same street as a number of good bars & restaurants, 25min walk to Notre dame through some beautiful side streets with lots of independent boutiques & vintage shops.
2 different metro stops not far from the hotel but we walked everywhere.
Breakfast was a good selection of pastries, cheeses & meats as well as fruit & yogurt, enough to get you set up until you find your next stop!!!
Louis on reception when we arrived was so friendly, wished my husband happy birthday & gave us good recommendations for food & bars.
Would definitely stay here again, our best Paris hotel find yet!!!

This was an accidental and slightly mysterious find for me, based on location and proximity to the wonderful area (Le Merais) which had been recommended by a photographer friend, who was staying nearby.

Location, location... central for walking, nearby a main Metro (Republique) and 'small but quaint' as expected.
The staff was amazing, friendly & helpful with things like arranging taxis or helping plan walk/train days about town.
Clean and comfortable... Amenities as stated (including a working lift, wifi, and (small) room safe. Really enjoyed this as 'home base' for 4 nights in Paris.

We had a fantastic stay. The location was ideal with République metro station 2 min walk from the hotel and loads of cafes and restaurants within walking distance, including the neighborhood around Canal St Martin. There are a few different metro lines from République which made it very handy to get around Paris easily. We had a deluxe room with a balcony, and the bed was super comfy. Hotel rooms in Paris tend to be on the small side so be ready for that- this was bigger than the last one I stayed in though so was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I would have liked was an iron in the room but there was a pressing service offered by the hotel. Overall, I ‘d highly recommend and would stay again.

Bare essentials but nice people

Friendly staff but there is absolutely nothing in the room in the way of lotion, soaps, toothpaste, slippers, nothing. It was an option to ask and they ran out they said. There is just communal soap for your hands. Bare minimum. No fridge in the room either in case you have food you want to bring from restaurant to eat later to keep fresh.

We enjoyed staying at this property in Paris with a view of Montmartre and Place de la Concorde from our balcony. The room was clean, the bed was a bit hard, but linens were good. No hair conditioner sadly. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was cutely decorated. Staff were excellent and provided advice and suggestions on request.

Great sleep and private sauna!

We love this boutique hotel. We stayed 6 years ago and it was as good as we remembered. The rooms and the bed were wonderfully cozy, we could have slept all day. The windows open and some rooms have great city views. And our favorite feature is the private hamman and sauna you can reserve downstairs. We will be back!

Loved our stay. It’s a small intimate hotel , beautifully designed with ultra comfortable beds, very clean , and the rooms are equipped with the essentials . The staff is very pleasant and inviting . Their restaurant downstairs where they serve a breakfast buffet is lovely and is aesthetically pleasing . The choices for breakfast were many and everything was delicious . I recommend this hotel to anyone .

The only thing i would rate low is the size of the rooms. Just make sure that you take the bigger room. I got an upgrade that made it ok
