The hotel itself is very cute, but the ventilation system is terrible. The entire lobby and hallways smell like fried food, and the fire alarm goes off whenever the kitchen starts cooking (including at 6am). Guests even had to evacuate into the street because of it. Unfortunately, this completely ruined the stay for me.

After I got over the initial shock of how small the room was, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel Sookie. The rooms are extremely tight, including perhaps the smallest shower I’ve ever used, but I’ve heard that’s very typical in Paris. We loved staying in Le Marais, and Hotel Sookie was well located. Great cafes and shops around, and very walkable to the Metro. The decor in the hotel was so stylish and attractive.

The room was very small and had way too many items in the room. Desk with chair in a corner 18\" to navigate luggage by, stool next to that, small bathroom with broken rain head shower, large armoire more room than needed for any length of stay and took up to much floor space, AC was a joke, broken TV, torn wallpaper, poor housecleaning and laundry bags all over the VERY NARROW halls. I have booked two rooms, for me and my parents. Now the sink in my parents bathroom , when they first run the water, dirt came out of the sink pipe when I saw it, I almost puked. This was reported to the reception later on. The coffee machine was not working, I called reception for alternative, she told me that she will check if they have a spare one, and if they did have a spare one, I have to go down to collect it, as if we broke it. They never called back in that regard, the coffee machine was not replaced at all. For the other room that I was staying in, I put the please make my room sign before going out, when I returned the room was not made, so I called reception. The same thing for my parents, their room was not made hours after leaving the room, until my father called reception and expressed that he was not satisfied at all with the service. I have noticed a paper sticked in the lift saying that “ We hope you enjoyed your stay, to support us leave if a comment and give us the best mark. However, if there is something you didn’t like we appreciate your comment to the reception”. I think this approach is misleading, because limiting the experience and only posting positive reviews would make my experience reoccur to others.

Hotel Sookie is delightful; we had a seamless stay there. The rooms have character and are a good size for Paris. We had a Spacey and a Comfy and both had room for a sofa(bed). The bathrooms are small but efficient and the shower was great! The only niggle was that there was no where to hang or put towels when used.

Breakfast was overpriced (£42 via Expedia vs. €20 at the venue) and limited to a set menu with terrible food. Pancakes were rubbery, coffee was poorly made, and many items were out of stock. The staff didn’t seem to understand the difference between warm, cold, and hot food—undercooked eggs twice, and pastries that seemed frozen and hastily baked. The hotel is not accommodating for pregnant women. Cleanliness was poor—dirty bed sheets with old hair, stained towels, and carpets. Management and staff were rude and dismissive when given feedback. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY -OTHER BETTER HOTELS OUT THERE.

I stayed at Hôtel Sookie during the Paris 2024 Olympics and enjoyed my time there. It is a cozy, boutique hotel with sophistication and charm. The room was comfortable and I slept very well. The hotel staff was kind, patient and a pleasure to interact with on a daily basis. I enjoyed the included breakfast with my reservation. I also enjoyed the brunch; the Sookie Waffle was incredible! Chef kiss :) You will definitely enjoy your stay here. It is very convenient to subway transportation and great restaurants in walking distance. Loved the atmosphere and hospitality. Worth noting the ‘Cosy’ accomodation has very limited storage and hanging space for clothes. The shower is also tiny and not suitable for tall people.
Despite its new appearance USB charging sockets were broken, the glass shower screen had been replaced with a shower curtain making the already small alcove less usable, the adjustable shower head fitting was broken and couldn’t be raised and other fittings were partially broken.
We also found towels were not being replaced for multiple days without specifically being requested, despite not having anywhere to hang and dry towels resulting in using damp towels multiple days in a row.

Small hotel in great location.
The hotel is in a great location but definitely leans on the smaller side even for boutique hotels. The standard room is very small so I would only recommend for one person or 2 people that travel light. The main downside is that there is no lobby to have guests wait or to sit at. At the entrance, it is just the cafe, reception desk, and elevator, not one couch or anything.

The design is super cute. Love the overall feeling of this hotel. Little bit tight, it's hard to spread around unpacking and store your suitcase away especially for 2 people. The bathroom is luxurious, the hardware, tiles, design wise is very chic. The bed was scrumptious, linen is divine. They have a cute lobby with cafe inside so you can get your flat white while you chilling. The staffs was extremely polite, kind and helpful and make you at ease. Sarah the morning staff concerned and tried to help me right away to book taxi for me since my pre booked Uber canceled last minute. Just the willingness and the sympathy she shown made my overall stay appreciated. Go and stay at this hotel and feels welcome by Sookie!

The location is a plus but other than that, I was not impressed. The room was incredibly small. It felt catastrophic throughout the stay. Dark inside the room. The bathroom is also tiny. You can stretch your arms and touch both walls. Our room faced the street. Incredibly noisy. The street is a bus route. They provide earplugs for a reason. There were stains on the carpet, they did not vacuum the room while we were there. Everything felt cramped, I couldn't wait to get out of there. I am so surprised at the rating of this hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly which made up for the other negative aspects. Taking the stairs is a hazard. It would never pass building code anywhere else.

We had a fantastic stay at hotel Sookie. The hotel is stylish and comfortable and very welcoming. The staff were all super ftiemdly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Paris and the Marais district.

We had to wait 45 minutes after the official check in time for our room to be ready. There were piles of dirty sheets and towels in the small hallway in front of our room for two days. The power went out while we were getting ready on our first morning and we had to wait for it to be fixed before we could finish and leave. Housekeeping kept forgetting to empty our trash and kept taking our towels and not leaving any new towels. Even though we hung our towels up they took them anyway and did not replace them. This happened several times. We called for new towels and were brought damp towels that we had to hang to dry. Our shower wasn’t draining and flooded our bathroom. They tried to charge us for the free breakfast they offered due to our room being ready late. I will never stay here again.
