The room itself was good. However, the lift to this property is very small. A wheelchair or Pushchair won’t fit. There is also two steps to get to the area where the lift its located. I had a small pushchair with my sleeping child. It was a nightmare to get on it and didn’t receive assistance from the reception staff.

The room was clean and tidy, it was a little noisy and the halls are very narrow especially with cleaning stuff left out during busy hrs. Location is great for public transport being within easy reach of Gare du Nord and Gare du l'est. You don't need to get breakfast there as there are plenty places nearby to eat from with better options and budget dependent. The staff were helpful if asked but mainly just were busy. Over all for the price it's a good choice.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean with new towels everyday which is a plus. The location was perfect, close to public transport which gets you to the main sightseeing tourist places in Paris. The reason for the OK rating is the fact that there was zero heating in our room. December is cold and with children in a room at 10°F (-2°C) we had no choice but to sleep with layer. We like the cold but the room was even colder then outside. We were told that the heating was being fixed but due to the holiday it was not fixed during our stay. We could not switch rooms since the hotel was booked to capacity. Free breakfast was offered on our last morning there but we left too early to be able to eat. If it was not for the room's freezing temperatures we would have loved to stay here again.

The heating was not working during the stay. Front desk staff told us to pay city tax before informing us of the issue. They mentioned that the issue will be fixed within 24hrs but it never happened. Ended up of sleeping in very cold rooms for 2 nights. Left paris with sore throat and fever. Room service was not done as well

The room was clean, bed was comfortable, water pressure was good, staff was courteous. Our room was small, but faced the courtyard so it was very quiet at night. The shower stall has no door so water floods the bathroom floor. Elevator is very small. My wife and I couldn't come up with our suitcases. Those with mobility challenges may want to consider a lower floor.
Hotel is across the street from the railway station, so good connections. Many restaurants in the area,

(Rate: 1/10) I do not recommend this hotel. The condition of the room was quite poor. The wall around the light switch was chipped and discolored, and although there was a TV, it didn’t turn on and seemed to be broken. The wooden sliding door for the bathroom was so stiff that I wondered if it was damaged, and it was difficult to open and close. The overall room design was also not very appealing.　
ここのホテルはおすすめしません。部屋の状態はかなりひどいものでした。ライトのスイッチ周りの壁は剝げ落ちて色もムラになっており、テレビもありましたが故障していて電源が入りませんでした。バスルームのスライドドアは木製で、壊れているのかと思うほど動きが重く、開け閉めに苦労しました。部屋のデザインもあまり良いとは言えません。部屋もエレベーターも異常に狭く、とても窮屈に感じました。唯一良かった点を挙げるなら、立地です。パリ東駅まで徒歩5分以内で行けるため、東駅発の特急に乗る必要があった私には便利でした。終電に乗り遅れて、仕方なく泊まるという状況であればまだしも、それ以外の理由では絶対におすすめできません。私はもう二度とここには泊まりたくありません。

We had requested a quadruple room on the first floor because we travel with a senior citizen and we were confirmed no problem. However, upon arrival elevator didn’t work but they did a great accommodation for my mother. So we were pleased. It was hard to bring up the luggage but we managed. We didn’t get the breakfast and I am glad we didn’t because there’s other options around the area.

Yes the hotel is doing a refurbishment at the moment which impacts the public areas, but the room was clean and comfortable. After about 8pm the hotel was pretty quiet, besides people coming and going, but that is normal for any hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good although a little crowded. The area around the hotel is what you would expect from area with 2 major train stations at walking distance. Only a short walk away from the hotel is the Canal St. Martin which is lovely to walk around or just have a sit and drink. The hotel is very conveniently located for travel to and from Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. I enjoyed my stay and couldn't find anything better for the price.

The hotel is conveniently located next to Gare l'Est, there are dining and shopping options around.
The room was small, but equpped with table, chair, stool, so basically all your need. Bed was very comfortable, and blackout curtains provided good sleep.
The elevator was out of order, so climing 5th floor on a narrow spiral staircase may be challenging.
All in all - definitely not a worst choice for couple of nights, especially if you need this particular neighborhood.

This was our 5th hotel in the last two weeks of traveling around Europe. By far, it has the most comfortable beds! The room is nice and clean. We had a family suite and it was spacious for a Parisian hotel. Very positive impression after staying there and the view from the window as well as little balconies were just perfect!!!! I recommend, and would gladly return!

The staff was really nice and the location is great if you are taking a train or metro. However, the hotel itself is not so good. The walls are paper-thin, you can hear every footstep in the building and other people locking their door. The elevator was out of service so they said they would discount breakfast from 12€ to 8€ per person. It was only 7€ for breakfast at any of the cafes nearby. The hotel is under construction so there is a lot of noise (yes, in the rooms too) and dust from 8 am to 7 pm. The room was really small even though I checked the square meters before booking. The bathroom was so tiny your knees tough the walk when sitting on the toilet, and the bathroom door (pocket door) didn’t close all the way, which was even more frustrating since it’s right next to the bed! We won’t be back.

The hotel's lift wasn't working as we were told when we checked-in. Not sure if the hotel had any lift in the first place. We had to carry our luggage to the 5th floor through a spiral staircase that was quite a workout.

The toilet in the room had a niche to keep towels but no place to keep our toiletries next to sink. There was no toilet roll holder.

One plus point was the hotel was next to a metro station that was so convenient to explore Paris.

Location is everything.

This was a solo trip and the hotel was ideal. The location was just 20mts from the Metro and close to the main overground train station. Food and bar options on your doorstep with everything catered for from early to late. Staff were very helpful and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

In a walkable area, and straight in line with the \"Boulevard de Strasbourg\" & \"Boulevard de Sebastopol\" which take you to \"Notre Dame\" and the islands.

Okay for a couple of nights

Good location next to Gare d L'est station but it is noisy, sirens all the time. We had 105 which had a window facing a wall. Bed was comfortable and shower good. We didnt have breakfast as €12 and cafe next door did it for €6.50. Security is poor, we returned one early evening and nobody on the desk, after waiting ages with our room key and others in sight my husband reached over to get it himself. Overall, okay for a base for a couple of nights but nothing more.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at Hotel d’Alsace. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman who tried really hard to greet us even with the language barrier, we were checked in quickly and directed to our room. We weren’t expecting a lot but the room was lovely; very spacious for a quadruple room with good sized beds that were very comfy. The room was very clean; our beds were changed for our second night and the whole room cleaned so it was lovely and fresh after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The breakfast area was small with just 2 long tables for everyone but there was enough space you just need to be a little patient when it’s busier. The food itself was delicious & there was a great range for everyone.
The hotel was great for travelling with the metro right out side the entrance which saved us lots of time having to work out where it was on day one.
On our last day the hotel were gracious enough to let us store our luggage whilst we spent our last day travelling around seeing more sights and when we went to collect the luggage it was exactly where we had left it.
We would definitely recommend a stay here, I would absolutely stay here again!

Decent value for money, we had a double room, the room was decent size, had kettle with tea and coffee. Kettle was kinda broken as you had to hold down the button to make it work but no big deal. Room and bathroom were clean, clean/fresh towels every day - bathroom itself was abit small, the shower had not door/curtain so the whole bathroom floor was wet whenever we showered but they have shampoo/body wash. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. But the hotel is in a great location. Literally next to the train station Gare de L'est and alot of bakeries and restaurants near by. Small and fit for purpose so I would recommend it.

Hotel is located at top of restaurant and you need to climb 20 stairs to get to reception so if you have big suitcases good luck

Good simple property just outside from Gare du l'Est. Simple walk or train to Gare du Nord. Food and station right outside the door and lots of other wating options within a walkable distance. My only complaints are closet size lift on goes to floor 4 (we were on floor 6-top floor-stairs weren't a problem) and the shower has no lip. It leaks towards the toilet. It should flow away from the toilet I would think.

However, I got a room on the 6th floor and the elevator only goes up to the 4th, which wasn't a major issue as I didn't have a lot of baggage, but the elevator barely fit 2 persons with backpacks.

However a few things i would prefer to have:
1. Bigger room, the room for was extremely small, you put 4 luggaes and no way you can move in the room.
2. Change the towels every day, there is no way you can reuse the towels because the shower room is extremely small and not even e ventilation that shower can stay dry and they get wet

Very convenient to Gare l'Est. Friendly staff. Room was small (especially bathroom), but very clean, comfortable and looked to be recently updated. Bright decor and quality bed, linens and pillows. Newer windows open easliy and when closed, good at significantly reducing street noise Only issue was that a/c was unavailable. Room was a bit toasty, so choice was between open windows to cool off or keep them closed to keep street noise at bay. Overall, exceeded expectations.

The bathroom and especially the shower not being enclosed so that you don't splash water all over the floor and the fact that they only provided a few coffee and sugar packs for one day, when I stayed there for 5 days. I thought the pricing was high but was not surprised being that its Paris. I was up on the 6th floor which was kind of nice and the view that I had of the street and the Gare d'Est but elevator which was incredibly small (I could barely fit myself with my luggage) and then I had to walk up to the last 2 floors. The fact that I had a very nice overall trip made this more palatable. Looking forward to soon returning to Paris with my grandkids ...

Lage sehr komfortabel in Bahnhofsnähe. Das Einzelzimmer in der 6.Etage ist nur über das Treppenhaus zu erreichen, der Lift fährt nur bis in die 5.Etage. Zimmer sauber und funktional, schöne Aussicht auf den Gare de l‘Est. Frühstück okay.
