If you want a short stay near Garde du Norde rail station this is worth considering.
Breakfast was fresh but you can find other cheaper local options of you are prepared to walk locally for them.
Room was decent and shower was really good, however we were on floor 6 and the lift only goes to floor 5. Steps were narrow and wind around so hard to carry a case in hand.

Staff was courteous and helpful. We were changed from our selected room (which was going to be bigger) to a different room (which was very small) but was okay as the elevator did not go to the floor that our original room was on and two of us would not have been able to navigate the winding spiral staircase. They were also very accommodating in allowing us to check in early. VERY small elevator. VERY small bathroom. Breakfast was limited. Best thing about this hotel for us was its proximity to Gare du Nord, the friendly staff and the beds were comfortable. Oh, and we did hear a serenading at 2am - that was fun!

Hotel is in train station area. Not the best area. But it felt safe to me. There are a lot of nice restaurants in walking distance. Room was big for Paris. I would come back here for price and location.

The staff was lovely. However the hallways were dirty and the shower was cold. I tried to shower the evening i arrived and the next day and both were barely luke warm. I literally ended up using the kettle to boil water and take a bucket bath with my mug. I was only there one night in transit and would not stay there again. The room seemed a lot cleaner than the hallways but right as I walked in the room I saw a random lipgloss under the edge of the bed. The bed itself was fine and the location convenient .

The staff were very helpful. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast. The only negative was that our room was close to the main road and it was very noisy during the night. Also the shower did not have any hot or warm water. Would recommend for a one night stay if you are traveling by train as the Gare du Nord was only 5 minutes away.

Aside from almost getting stuck in a tiny elevator, we were positively surprised by our stay at Résidence Avalon. We had a studio (with a microwave + fridge - although it unfortunately didn't have a freezer compartment), which was more spacious than expected, the bed was comfortable and the furniture as depicted. Our room was facing an inner courtyard and was fairly quiet. Internet was not great (weak signal) in our part of the building, though. Aside from that, the (older) building is super close to Gare du Nord and the breakfast was pretty good for French standards. Plenty of choices. Notice that there are at least 3 (or 4?) hotels with \"Residence\" branding in this block.

Very dated, hotel and rooms need a lot of work, noisy at night time, good for connection to transport links and room was clean but dilapidated the hotel does not look like the photos, would not stay here again.

Twin room small, bathroom large. Clean, firm but comfortable beds. Desk staff very helpful. Able to store luggage in secure room at beginning and end of trip. Tiny elevator worked. Breakfast was worth small cost. Convenient to train and metro stations, which also means homeless people. Aldi / grocery, convenience stores and pharmacy nearby.

We booked a studio room for an overnight stay which gave more space. Clean white sheets and towels and good shower. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good cold food. Convenient location for Gard du Nord. Good restaurant close by.

Although the property is dated, it offers the basic ammenities. I got a room with a little mini kitchenette which included a microwave, fridge, mini electric range and cooking supplies. It does offer a basic morning breakfast for 9 Euros. The air conditioning was not working, so just be mindful of the time of year you are there. The heater was working. I was there during a seasonal change, so it was cool in the morning and evening, but warm during the day. The room did include three sets of french doors with a balcony running the length of the suite. The location is right in front of grocery store, metro stations, buses and is a 5 minute walk from Gare Du Nord, which is were you can catch a direct train to London. The neighborhood felt safe overall. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice staff. Room was very small with too much furniture. Photo is deceiving. Bright street light mounted in building next to our window. The drapes didn’t help. Breakfast very ordinary odd layout and way too much furniture in lobby. I think they cater to large groups.

This place is conveniently located very near Gare du Nord and most of the metro lines to get you anywhere you want to go in Paris. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of great places to eat close by the hotel and a short walk to Sacre-Coeur. What could be better.

Central beliggenhed tæt på Gare du Nord. Venligt og smilende personale. Basis morgenmad. Gå-afstand til det centrale Paris, og bliver bene trætte, så er der ikke langt til Metro. Værelserne til gården er mørke, men man hører ingen trafikstøj.

Excellent accueil (jeune homme d'origine Mauricienne).
Chambres très spacieuses et très bien rénovées. En revanche la salle de bain est \"intégrée\" directement dans la chambre donc pas d'intimité possible (et ce n'etait pas précisé dans le descriptif de la chambre). Par ailleurs, pas de meuble sous la vasque donc il faut poser ses affaires de toilette sur la table de chevet ou bien les laisser dans la valise. Très belle et très grande douche, et WC séparés avec une fenêtre.
Insonorisation pas extraordinaire (on entend tout ce qui se passe dans le couloir et la chambre mitoyenne) mais ça doit être le lot commun malheureusement des hôtels autour de la gare du Nord.

Insonorisation très médiocre et, contrairement à ce qui était annoncé, il n'y avait pas de bureau. Pas pratique pour un séjour professionnel.

Schön, wie auf den Bildern! Wir hatten ein Studio im hinteren Teil des Hotels (also nicht zur Straße raus) so war das Zimmer sehr ruhig. Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Zimmer war wirklich sauber. Lage an sich super, aber nachts sind wir nicht Richtung Barbès/Bvd Magenta unterwegs gewesen, sondern haben lieber ein Taxi genommen, da die Gegend dann etwas dubios ist.

Réservation effectuée par hasard, pensant réserver dans un autre hôtel adjacent portant quasi le même nom et où j’avais déjà séjourné. Un peu déçue, donc: les murs de la chambre suintent d’humidité après la douche et le panneau indiquant que l’ascenseur est HS devrait être enlevé puisque l’ascenseur fonctionne (signalé mais panneau toujours en place à notre départ…)
