Adorable hotel in a very fun and lively neighborhood on a charming street. Rooms were spacious and recently renovated, beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing with double shower heads and heated floors in the bathroom. Had an issue with a water leak so had to switch rooms after two days, heat didn’t work and coffee maker was broken but the staff quickly helped to solve these issues. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The top floor windows don’t open and the only way out was through the door and down a very narrow staircase - I worried about safety incase of a fire, but the other floors since windows that open. The neighborhood is very lively and VERY loud - even with earplugs we didn’t sleep well - people were right outside our window every day until 1 am or later. The location was great -very close to the metro and the river and Notre Dame. Overall I really liked this hotel, but not sure I would stay again mostly due to the noise.

We booked a romantic stay in Paris and when we got to our hotel and room, realised the room smelled of paint and the whole building was going through renovations. Which was NOT disclosed by the owners on purpose to avoid scaring customers away. The only reason this is a two star is because of the lovely staff.

We LOVED our stay in Paris! Perfect accommodations for a family of four with teens. The gentleman that drove us and then the gentleman that checked us in were wonderful, giving us directions and helpful hints on where to go to replace some of the items that were in our lost luggage. They were great to answer any questions any time we popped into the lobby. Location couldn’t have been better — short walk to the Seine River close to the Notre Dame.

Very well located in the 6th. Lots of Bistro's and food options, including Grocery Stores are steps from the Hotel. Metro is a very short walk away.

Bed (including the pull out couch) was comfortable. Only curious note was this hotel likely has the smallest elevator I've ever come across (non-issue though).

They are in the midst of renovation. The hallway by the breakfast was filthy and full of construction debri. We had dusty smell in our room and in the air. It is not worth the cost per night perhaps after they have finished the renovation in 2026.

Perfect spot to see Paris

This place is in the center of St.Michel downtown area with so many restaurants and bistros, you will have a great time! One block from the Seine river and Notre Dame is 2 blocks. Perfect location! Hotel staff are very helpful if you need anything.

This is a traditional Parisian style hotel. I think you get a lot for your money, it has a small kitchen with a refrigerator.

The staff is very nice and always willing to help, and there countless options to eat around this location.

We had the most amazing experience at Residence Des Arts, starting with the excellent customer service by front desk agents Willy and Guillaume. We had several questions and requests and they were quick to respond, offered suggestions, and took care of special requests. The hotel itself is quite quaint and charming. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. Centrally located in the latin quarter, with a wealth of restaurants and shopping options. A definite 10 out of 10. We are telling everyone of your property and service, and we plan to stay with you every time we are back in Paris. Thanks for making us feel at home.

Location was easy to find and staff were excellent. However generally let down by noise until 2:30am on both Friday and Saturday nights from the Bar (Brassiere Des Arts) below. Then each morning early at 6:30am the builders making a noise renovating the hotels breakfast room. Surely the could start later at 10am when guests had checked out?

The location is absolutely fantastic. Truly the best location we have had in 3 visits to Paris. The rooms are old, but they are clean. It was very reasonably priced for the location and even better considering the privacy between the main bedroom and pullout full size bed for our teenager. The downside was they were doing construction, which we had not been warned about. However, updates area needed so you can consider the construction a positive.

Definitely a three star hotel. Rooms were very large, the reason for selecting this hotel for this trip. Staff were very helpful and location was perfect. Room was “extremely” dark and tired looking plus had some serious cable issues. However, well worth the room rate! I asked for small hand towels (some call them wash cloths). The front desk person sarcastically sighed and answered “madam, this is a 3 star hotel” 😂. I didn’t bother asking for hotel slippers. Brightening the rooms with fresh light color walls & new curtains plus bathroom update would definitely make this hotel a hidden gem. Would recommend hotel if room size is a factor.

The main reason for choosing this hotel is its location. Close to the Louvre, Pompidou, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and the riverside. Breakfast is included, but the French breakfast is served with coffee, juice and bread. You can have a slice of cheese and ham if you like.
Overall, the room was clean, but the drainage in the shower room was poor and the bathroom was small.

My teenage daughter and I stayed in a junior suite and had a wonderful time in Paris for 4 nights. The suite was spacious, and the area around the hotel was wonderful with lots of cafes and restaurants.
Notre Dame, Musee d’Orsay and the Louve are all within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We loved the location! Walkable to so much. Staff was fantastic each time we stopped in, especially the one woman who we saw multiple times at the front desk. Very clean as well.

Super friendly staff, especially Willie who helped us figure out how to get to Versailles and later how much time we would need to get through security at the airport. Our Junior Suite was huge for Paris with fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The curtain gave our 16yo his \"own room\" at night and our beds were comfortable. Tons of great restaurants and shops and even a grocery store within easy walking distance (as well as many \"very bad\" restaurants, so stick with the recommendations from the hotel). Lots of action during the day and at night. Very close to Metro (and RER). Would highly recommend it and we would absolutely stay here again!

Loved our stay and recommend this property as a real gem with just a few minor setbacks. The suite was beautiful and tidy. The staff was efficient, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We stayed for 5 nights and received 1 bottle of water, tea bags and coffee pods that were never replenished. So after 2 days, we could no longer make coffee in our room despite leaving open the box to show housekeeping that there were no coffee pods to use. I am 5'10\" tall and weight 78 kgs. My companion is about the same size. We could barely fit in the lift with our carry-on bags - literally ! We took photos showing our shoulders touching both sides of the lift. That was more amusing thanks annoying, but if you are obese, you WILL NOT be able to fit inside the elevator, let alone your luggage. Small things that are easily overlooked when staying at such a nice hotel with wonderful staff in such a central location in Paris. Recommend this property as long as you are not obese nor claustrophobic !

Great for families in junior suite

We stayed in a junior suite with our toddler twins. The hotel provided two baby beds, and the separate living room gave us plenty of space. The kitchenette was a HUGE bonus with kids. The bathroom was very spacious and had both a bath tub and a separate shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is perfect- we’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great sized room for Paris.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the top Junior Suite. The room was spacious and beautiful. The staff was attentive when needed, but also left us alone unless we reached out (which was much appreciated). The only two issues: no hairdryer in the room even though this is included on the amenities list, and as many others have said, the Irish pub across the street can get extremely loud late at night. We ran the fans all night to try to drown out the noise. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and stay here again.

Very quaint little boutique hotel on a cute and quiet street. Location is amazing for walkability and with both Metro and RER (Saint Michel) very close by. We walked to the Louvre, d’Orsay, across the river to Le Marais, even to the Eiffel although that was a fairly long walk. Easy to get back via the RER though, direct. The Jr. Suite was very comfortable for us and our teen with a curtain for some privacy. The little kitchenette was a bonus I didn’t even know was there! There are some small signs of wear and tear, and the Irish pub outside was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday but not really late. The other nights were unbelievably quiet for the centre of Paris. I would definitely stay there again.

The walls are so think would wake you up when neighbors came in. The elevator is hardly that. Can barely put two people in it but can’t take bags into it too. I was looking forward to a quiet place after long flight and this wasn’t it.

Great location close to everything. The service was so great and offered assistance through text, calls, or for whatever we needed while staying in a new country. The rooms are small but quaint and exactly what I would expect from a European hotel. We didn't pay more for a bigger room because there was so much to do. The area was perfect for restaurants and sightseeing.

Wonderful hotel in a quiet street in a lovely part of the Left Bank. Just steps from the Seine, a perfectly central point for wandering around Paris. Our room was sizeable and perfect for a family of three, with a separate sleeping area for our son. Elegant decor. Large bathroom, with both shower and bath tub. Good wifi! Because it is an old building, the stairs are steep and narrow, but there is a small elevator. Staff were attentive and kind. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation!

The place was very nice, had an elevator, in an excellent location, and had large rooms.It was clean and had nice amenities. Here is where they exceeded expectations. We arrived the day of Pres Trump put restrictions on flights due to covid19. We spent a night in Paris and traveled to and stayed three nights in Nice. During this pandemic they noticed we had not returned to the rooms and called us to check to see if we were ok. We returned from nice and at that point cafes and pubs were closed. We found a note from the managers making sure we were ok and had what we needed. They even gave us their personal phone numbers. We stayed two more nights. In the end we had to leave early due to restrictions and the possibility we would not be able to get a flight back home. The property worked to get us a way to the airport as we were not sure if public transportation was available. In recap the place was in a prime location, clean, very nice, spacious, and most importantly the staff and management made us feel like we were family. In how fast things progressed, the property looked out for us as it was unsettling time. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The staff really couldn’t have done more, they were super apologetic for a situation they had no control of (Corvid19), the location is perfect close to the metro and Notre Dame and an easy walk to the centre. The rooms are clean and tidy and the bed is super comfy. The shower is great there were plenty of towels and the guest toiletries provided were lovely and in practical sized bottles.
The Bistro is probably my favourite part of this hotel the food is excellent quality very traditional but the waiting staff are absolutely fantastic and really attentive without being intrusive. We are looking forward to returning on our next visit to Paris

The hotel is located next to the RER station. You can get from the airport to the hotel in 50 minutes. Nearby is the Latin Quarter. Nearby are many cafes and restaurants. The front desk is across the road. The hotel employee at registration did not show how to turn on the heating in the room.

The check-in process was easy. Our room was ready early. The location was wonderful. There is a bar outside of the hotel (Corcoran's) and on Saturday night we could hear the people outside the bar until very late. On Sunday morning, the trash removal truck was doing rounds before 8am. Needless to say, that wasn't the greatest night of sleep! Sunday and Monday were fine, though. Comfortable bed and pillows. There was a twin pull-out bed underneath the sofa, which my brother used. The shower pressure is intense. My group joked that it was like a firehose. The bath was lovely. Be aware that the elevator is minuscule, but for luggage the concierge brought our bags up so that wasn't a big issue with checkin. Overall we would stay again, especially on a weeknight when the street is quieter.

We had a Jr Suite, the double bed was actually just a twin trundle bed under the couch, worked well for us since there was only 3 of us. The front desk was amazing we arrived early in the morning and they had our room ready to go. Would definitely stay there again.

I loved the location of the hotel. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. My only problem with the property was the size of the elevator. If I weighed 5 more pounds, I would have not fit in. I think that Expedia should put the dimensions of the elevator in the description of the hotel. Our room was on the 4th floor and I walked down all the time and walked up about half the time.

Hotel Residence Des Arts is a gem. It's located just a block from the Seine on a quiet narrow street situated on the Left Bank, opposite The Louvre, Ste. Chapelle, and Notre Dame. It's a perfect location. And if you're travel motto is \"... do as the Romans do,\" then stay here. This is quintessential Paris. The rooms, while typically European small, are by no means tiny, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and a great shower, decorated tastefully \"French.\" The lobby is like an aged wine, well kept, and extremely comfortable, and is the place where breakfast - all fresh from local merchants, with terrific coffee - is served. But you must come here for the staff and service. Laëtitia, Marina, and Alexandre are here for their guests. You will be directed to eat at outstanding cafes, bistros, and restaurants, run by locals who know food, with reservations happily arranged. Want to know how to get somewhere? Just ask. Where is the best shop for cheese, baked goods, coffee, or wine? Again, you will be sent, cheerfully, to the right place. A hotel can make or break your vacation. Residence Des Arts insured that ours was outstanding! Do yourself a favor and look no further.

Wonderful Paris hotel.

This hotel was in a perfect location. Walking distance to the Louvre and many other sites and an added bonus was that it is right next to a metro hub. The staff was wonderfully helpful with everything we needed. They were AMAZING. We would definitely stay here again.
