It is in a great location with restaurants; boulangeries; fromageries; even pharmacies everywhere. Steps from Anvers metro station, you can go anywhere and everywhere with ease if you have Hotel Gerando as your base. Look up and there she is, Sacré-Cœur. Walk up and enjoy the stores, the view and one of the most charming little pockets of Montmartre. Simply amazing. BUT what makes this hotel truly special is the staff and the top notch service they provide.

Really enjoyed my stay! Easy 10-15 minute walk from Gare du Nord and just a few minutes from a metro stop. Several dining options within a few minutes walk. A 20 minute walk to Basilique du Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre for incredible views of the city. Hotel room had body wash and shampoo, a hair dryer, a safe, hangers, AC, TV and an available iron to use upon request. No issues with our room at all. Hotel staff were all very friendly. Would recommend and will definitely stay here again!

The hotel was in the Monmartre neighborhood with lots of trendy bars, restaurants, and local amenities nearby. We went with our kids and it was easy to walk to 2 different Metro stations to get anywhere in Paris. Breakfast was solid but typical for Europe with breads, pastries, cheeses, meats and muesli. The only concern I would have is the elevator. It was not a problem for us but it requires being able to get up an initial flight of stairs to get in and it holds max 2 people. So if you have mobility problems, this is not the place for you. But overall we thought it was solid for the price, location and breakfast. And it is air conditioned!

False advertising! Website and Expedia page advertise Air Conditioning in every room. This is blatantly false as their AC has been broken for months. In the middle of a HEAT WAVE. They lied and said it will be fixed but it never was and other reviews make it clear this has been an on going issue for weeks if not months. Stay elsewhere during the hot summer months.

Old hotel in dire need of refurbishment like many hotels in Paris. You definitely get what you pay for which isn’t much. It was decent for the price paid, the room was clean though noisy if you stayed right next to the stairs. There is an elevator, which is great for older Parisian buildings, but had in the inconvenience of being in between floors so you still had to go up a flight of stairs to reach each floor. Wifi worked great.

Great location, very near metro stop and short walk to Gare du Nord. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes very close by. My room was perfect for a short stay travelling solo. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel for a shorter break.

Very small room, the door could not open fully as the wall was blocking the door from fully opening. But good enough for two people as we were only in the room to sleep at night. Area is good as there are 2 metros a few minutes walk from the hotel, one closer than the other. A few dining options around, and a bunch of souvenir shopping places close by. Montematre, Moulin Rouge and Sacre-Coeur church is walkable, not a short walk but doable about 15 to 20 mins

The property is in a convenient location near the train stations and Monmarte. There is a small lift but you still have to bring your luggage up the steps. Hallways are narrow and rooms are a little small but adequate. No refrigerator in the rooms. Shower has good water pressure. Breakfast is simple and tasty; scrambled eggs, pastries, cereal, good cappucino/coffee maker. The staff are pleasant and helpful. They allowed us to store our luggage while we did some touring. I would stay here again!

The hotel waa within walking distance 9f Gare de Nord and just in the area that is improved. It did a job, or part, didnt sleep the hotel was noisy and poorly constructed, there was simply no wow! No desire to ever return.

The hotel is located in a perfect spot. There are restaurants right across the street and tourists attractions are just a 5 minute walk away. The metro is down the street which I used to take to the Eiffel Tower.

I was skeptical when I got in but the checking was very easy, the guy was nice. The rooms and elevator is a bit small but quaint, it serves its purpose. Guli, the housekeeper was great, she doesn’t speak English but she was great and friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.

This property is in a great location, especially near Montmarte, and within easy walking distance to Metro and Gare du Nord train station. The property has been refurbished, and the single room I had was very tastefully appointed, and thoughtful. Great single bed, and great shower! Two must haves for me when I travel. The Price was also very good for a Paris hotel in this district! Service, was great too. The gentleman who greeted me was very helpful, spoke excellent English, (which I wish I spoke better French!) but is very helpful for those of us who don't speak French well. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a comfortable place to stay, that wants a French experience, as opposed to an American experience in France!

This was a great hotel in the heart of Paris. Close to the train station and metro station. The staff was very helpful. They are doing work on the exterior but it will be ever more fantastic when it’s done.

This place is fine for the price, but only if you’re flexible and mobile. This is a budget hotel in a terrific area. Lots of easy transportation options, nice neighborhood, safe, walkable, lots of food options. But this is a budget hotel. Rooms are tiny and limited amenities. The single room is effectively a closet with no natural light. The elevator does not start on the ground floor- actually the elevator doesn’t technically stop on any floor but on the landings in between floors so you will have to take your luggage up or down very narrow stairs just to get to the elevator. Not a problem if you’re traveling light, but a huge issue with a heavy bag. Major warning- while this is a no-smoking property, this clearly used to allow smoking and the smell lingers. Everywhere. You will leave the place with your things smelling like smoke too. But tbh, it’s Paris, so after a few days there, you’re smelling like cigarettes just from walking down the street. Take showers at night because hot water was hot or miss in the mornings. Overall, this is fine for the price point, but just travel light and don’t plan to spend a lot of time in the room.

Hotel is in a great location (Montmartre Sacré-Cœur) with 2 metro stops (Anvers and Barbès-Rochechouart) within a 5 minute or less walk. Recently renovated rooms very small, but very sufficient and clean. We were out exploring all day, therefore only needed a place to sleep, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast, which was included, is small, but has a decent selection, you can always stop at the nearest Boulangie if the breakfast doesn’t meet your needs.

Staff friendly, tried their best to answer our questions in English, but were not very helpful in giving us advice on how to visit principal sites in Paris. Breakfast was OK. The property has a small elevator that stops in between floors so you have to go up or down the stairs into your room, was a bit difficult to carry our luggage. The room had a nice balcony and size was good, beds and bath where conformable. Just a couple of blocks to subway and a little more to Montmatre but totally walkable. Train station a few blocks away, walkable with lugagge and all. We felt safe in the neighborhood, had several good options to eat. Not a luxurious hotel, it didn´t impressed us for anything in particular, but still I recomend this hotel.

Room was cold, asked for a blanket but I got a bedsheet instead. Bathroom and room are small. They couldn’t accommodate or provide gluten or dairy free . My relative, only had an apple for breakfast. Taking into account that most of people have dietary requirements.

I suggest that you ignore any reviews older than a couple years ago as the property was renovated recently. Although very small, our room was perfectly adequate and the bathroom was tiny but very clean. The area has tons of restaurants near it, metro a couple minutes away and the adorable Montmarte area within a few minutes walk. Loved the balcony view from our 5th floor.

It located in an excellent area walkable to the main station Gare du Nord, but a cheap budget for couple. Despite being cheaper, it's room is very cozy and immaculately tidy. We felt at ease after a long day.
The breakfast has some choices but mainly continental. It was very french and decent.
If I had to be picky, this hotel is not suited for people with mobility issue as the stairs or the lift are quite difficult to access for those in needs.

A horrible experience overall. The front desk clerk was arrogant and rude. The dates were wrong, the room was wrong, and there was no place for our kids to sleep. Completely frustrating experience. Ended up going somewhere else and losing huge amount of money.
